Ever since that Grudgby Game, things had been changing.
Amity had flat out stopped hanging out with her and the gang. When Boscha texted Amity in penstagram to know why she had joined the human and the half a witch, Amity had ignored her. Boscha kept texting her but she was ignored, until she got the notification that Amity had blocked her.
She tried to confront the witch when she returned to school after her injury (that had not been Boscha's fault, if Luz had not challenged her, that would never have happened) but Amity ignored her.
She started to hang out with Luz and her friends, and Boscha could not understand. They were losers, they had no future, not like Boscha. Why did Amity start hanging out with them ?
She had held out hope when she heard Luz, Willow, and Gus had been expelled, which meant she could take back Amity, but that only lasted for a week. Luz made a deal with the Blights, and they returned it by allowing them back on Hexisde.
And Amity went straight back to them. Hanging out with them.
Then as if her change was not noticeable enough. One day everyone at Hexide gasped at seeing Amity with purple hair. Boscha knew her mother made Amity dyit green. What had happened. Why is Amity willing to go against her mother's orders.
Boscha could not even ask her about it. She was right at Luz's side and did not leave it.
It wasn't right. She should be here, right at Boscha's side.
Where was the Amity that stood at Boscha's side. Where was the one that did not get along with those beneath her, the one that knew her place at the top, and worked with people that also belonged there.
Boscha did not know what happened, but she did know one thing.
She will get Amity back.
Then it happened.
It was a normal Monday, everyone starting their day in Hexide.
Boscha entered the halls with a superior air, making sure some wimps that crossed her path made sure to know who had priority.
"Hey girls !"
"Hey Boscha." Amelia greeted. Bo, Cat, and Skara greeted her as well.
"Skara, we missed you at the shack this weekend."
"Yeah...sorry Boscha. I was busy with something my parents needed of me."
Boscha looked at her, that had been the second time in a row she said that...
Then again, they are the children of the high society, and they have responsibilities other simpletons can't understand.
"Yeah sure, just make sure you are there next time."
"Yeah..."
"Allright girls. Lets get going to...."
Boscha suddenly stop.
"Boscha, what's wrong ?"
Boscha did not speak. Just looked with her three eyes at the scene before her.
Luz and Amity were walking down the hall.
And they were holding hands.
No....this...this can't be happening.
"Hold on ?" Bo said. "Are those, Luz and Amity ?"
"Are they...holding hands ?"
"No way ! " Skara laughed. "Did they finally did it ?"
Boscha said nothing, she just kept staring.
"Well well look at that."
"Some people seem to be staring at out darling sister."
Boscha and her gang turned around, to find Edric and Emira Blight behind them.
"Isn't that a cute sight Em ?"
"Certainly Ed. I've never seen Mittens so happy."
Boscha growled at them. She never had gotten along with the twins, she hated how smart they are for their own good, and how they always got the angle over her.
It was no coincidence that Amity started getting closer to her siblings, at the same time she started leaving Boscha. Was there something about it ?
"What is that ?" She growled. It could not be. It could just not be.
"Hm. For having three eyes, you are really quite blind."
"Luz and our dear Mittens started dating this weekend. They are girlfriends."
"No..." Boscha whispered.
The twins heard her.
"Oh yes. Luz asked our darling sister if she wanted to go out with her, and Mittens said yes, with a big smile she could not hide for the rest of the day."
"Wait, I thought Mittens was the one that asked Luz out..."
"There was a mix Ed. The details are not important. The fact is, they are dating."
"Oh yes, and we are very happy about it."
"So happy, we love Luz ! Hell, if Mittens had not fallen so hard for her, I would have considered it myself."
"And the change she has brought to our sister. Oh Em, I think I could cry from joy."
Boscha wanted nothing more than to smash a potion on their ugly face.
"Well it was about time if you ask me." Skara said, ignoring Boscha's glare. "Amity has been crushing at Luz for so long, and it was clear those feelings were returned."
"Yes exactly."
"At least one of you is not blind."
"Which I would find offensive If I had three eyes."
The twins laughed and walked away.
Boscha went back to look at the...couple. Titan it got her sick just thinking about it.
She focused on Amity's face. She looked like she was in absolute bliss. Like she was at the top of the world.
Her smile was so genuine that it hurt. She had never smiled like that with Boscha.
Amity has a girlfriend. And its not Boscha.
Boscha felt the anger consume her. She...she had never been so angry in her life.
Amity was supposed to be her's, and that human had stold it from her.
"Oh and Boscha, one last thing."
Without warning, Boscha was slammed into the lockers, and face to face with a deadly serious looking Emira Blight.
"Listen carefully. I know what you want from my sister. Take word of the one that has been with her threw most of her childhood. She wants NOTHING to do with you, specially what you want. Amity is happy, she is so happy, hat not even mom's bullshit can take that. So take my warning, if you try anything, ANYTHING, to ruin this for them, I will make you pay, and that's a promise."
With that Emira let go of her, and left a pissed Boscha, who was struggling to contain her rage.
Her friends looked in shock at her.
"Dam you human. You think you have won, this has only began, I will get her back !"
The next months, Boscha tried her best to either get Amity's attention, or to mock the human.
Neither work, Amity ignored her, and all her attempts to mock Luz fell flat, thanks to the twins.
And those were the moments she saw them alone. Most of the time, they were together, making sure the whole dam school knew they are in love. It made her sick.
She tried to mock the human then. Show her how inferior she was, but all she did was get a indifferent looks from Luz, and glares from Amity that promised retribution.
Boscha just didn't know how to show Amity that she is the better choice, that she is the one she is meant to be, not the human.
Amity still must think something about Boscha still right ? They had been friends for so long. There had to be something there.
She got the answer two months later, at the club try out.
Boscha had been aimlessly walking around, looking at the horrible clubs. It did not matter, none of them would bit grudgby.
Then she saw the human speaking about that stupid book of her's
The Blight twins are not at school today, and no sign of Amity.
Perfect.
She walked confidently to the human and grabbed one of her books.
"The name doesn't do it any favors."
She expected Luz to be ofended, and look down. But the human looked like she did not care, which made Boscha angry.
So she read part of her beloved book, trying to get a reaction, anything that Boscha could to instigate conflict, and put the human down.
Luz still did not fall for it.
Boscha was getting angrier and she tried to speak once more. But then...
"Luz !"
Suddenly, that voice got all of Boscha's attention.
And there she was, Amity Blight. Out of breath, standing right next to Boscha.
Boscha got many feelings, it was the first time in so long that Amity stood at her side, where she belonged.
"Spill it hermosa !"
"The author of the books is holding a meeting right in town !"
Luz gave her a confused glance.
"You are a lot less exited than I thought you would be."
Amity had not said a single word to Boscha. Why was she doing this ? Why didn't she even look at her !
"Excuse me, I am still here !" She said, hoping to bring the attention to her.
It did not work, Luz and Amity were like in their little world, like only they existed. They talked, without even acknowledging her.
When she tried again to make herself heard. Amity just grabbed Luz' hand, and took her away. Giving her a look of pure adoration that it actually hurt.
"You guys aren't cute ! I still have more friends than you !" She tried one last time. Hoping that this time, Amity would give Boscha her attention.
It didn't work.
Boscha groaned and slammed her foot in the stand.
Amity had been right here, right at her side. And she had not cared about Boscha at all. Didn't even looked at her.
Boscha left, thinking things could not get worst.
But as it was going now for her, it did.
"What do you mean you are joining the flier derby team !" Boscha yelled at Skara. She had just seen the panphlet and when she saw Skara in there, she blew up.
First Amity, now her !
"I just want to try something new. The sport has always intrigued me, and I finally got the chance."
"No no NO ! You are a member of the Grudgby team, MY TEAM ! You can't join another team !"
"Jesh Boscha, calm down. I can be in both teams. I talked to Willow, she will schedule the practices so that they don't overlap with yours."
"Absolutely not ! You are either committed to Grudgby or you are OUT !"
"Are you seriously gonna make me choose ?"
"Yes I am. You are MY FRIEND Skara, you are supposed to do what I say ! That is your place ! so stop being stupid and quit that loser's team, and get back here, RIGHT NOW !"
Skara looked at her for a moment.
"You know what. That's it, I'm done. I have tolerated a lot Boscha, all the screams, the insults, I stood by it, for our friendship. But it seems I am just a mere pawn to you aren't I ? Well no more then. I know I deserve better. Unlike you, Willow doesn't treat me like a pawn, but as an equal member. I feel Amity has the right idea. I am done with being mean to others because they are not as rich as me. I no longer want a gang or a crew, I want friends, and you....you don't even know what that means."
Skara turned around and walked away.
"SKARA, COME BACK RIGHT NOW OR WE ARE DONE, YOU HEAR ME, WE ARE DONE !"
"Good. It didn't have to be this way, but so be it. Goodbye Boscha."
Skara kept walking, not turning back to Boscha.
"FUCK !" She yelled, kicking the locker at her side.
This was not supposed to happen ! First Amity leaves her for that human, and now Skara abandones her for Half a Witch' team ? Outgracius !
To make matters worst, now she has to spend her time searching for a new player !
God dam it, why can't thing just be like before, when everything was perfect ! It was not fair !
The last months were Boscha's absolute worst !
For the first time in years, Hexide had to drop out of the Grudgy championship, as the team did not have the minnimun required members. Almost no one was interested in playing the game, and those who were, were not up to the standard.
Her name was now spoken with rage and dissapoiment at town, something her mothers were not happy about.
There were even talks about replacing her as Captain. That her time had come to an end and fresh blood needed to come ! She could not believe it.
To make matters worst, Willow's team proved to be a great success. Winning all the matches they entered. Hexide slowly lost interest at Grudby, and turn to Flier Derby.
And if it wasn't bad enough, she had to deal with Luz and Amity still being lovely lovely all the time. Both at School, and outside.
It made her sick. Everytime she heard them give each other pet names and share kisses on the cheek, she wanted to throw up, then beat the crap out of Luz, and shake Amity until she was back to her old self.
She had a chance a day Luz was absent, a chance to get Amity, but that stupid illusions kid had to ruin it when he threw the school into chaos, and then that battle with the Illusion coven head happened.
Boscha had no intention to fight. She hid on a room and waited for the time to be done.
When she came out, Amity was gone, gone to search for her beloved human.
Little did Boscha knew, what was gonna happen next.
The day of unity came.
As the Golden Guard said, it was all a trap, a trap by Belos to kill all witches.
She had stayed at Hexide. Bump did not allow anyone to leave.
But as soon as it started, it was over.
And then the Collector came.
He came around, taking all the people he found, and turning him into puppets.
Boscha had tried to fight him with Amelia and Cat, but it was useless, they lost, and they were taken.
Soon, it became clear that Hexide was the only place safe from the Collector, so she remained there. She could not search for her mothers.
That was not the worst though.
No, the worst is that Amity....vanished.
If the rumor was to be true, Amity, Luz, Willow, Gus, and the Golden Guard had escaped to the human realm. And wasn't that a kick on the teeth. Now Amity was in a place Boscha could not reach, with Luz flirting with her more and more.
It was not fair !
Boscha had been at the potions labs, blowing some steam, when she heard someone behind her.
"Pardon me my lady, but it seems someone like you should not be here."
"Its not like there are any rules right now."
"No, I don't mean it like that. I mean...in this place of power."
Boscha turned to her.
"What ?"
"Didn't you use to rule this school, before the human came around. I heard that nobody messed with you. Then the human turns up, and now nobody takes you serioisly. Prefering her and her little Blight girlfriend."
"Don't, call, them, THAT !" Boshca yelled.
"The human is back in her world. Maybe it is time for you to take your rightfull place as the ruler of Hexide, and maybe, just maybe, when Blight returns, she will see you were the one she was meant to be."
Yes...
Yes....
It...it made sense.
Luz is gone now. She can no longer interfire.
Which means...Boscha´ time as finally come.
"You are right...it is time to take back what was taken from me !"
And when Amity returns....she would realize she belonged right here, at Boscha's side.
"And I assume you will need a second in command, right ?"
"Of course....who are you ?"
"That doesn't matter dear, I am just someone who wants to help. Now, lets get to work !"
So she did.
With no teachers around, Boscha took over the school.
With her ally and her abomaton, even the Blight twins thought twice before messing with her.
She got her throne, and beside it, was another chair.
Amity's chair.
There is no way she will refuse to be her queen. Boscha has finally accomplished it. All she had to do is wait for her Queen to arrive, sweep her off her feet, and everything will be as it should be.
"Hang on Amity. We will finally be together soon."
6 months later, her time came.
Amity and the others had returned, and it was her chance.
First, she made sure to get Amity alone. Kikimora wanted to take down Luz, and Boscha saw no problems, so she left her take her.
She got the half a witch and the others stuck in their own problem, making her loose control of her stupid plant magic.
And finally, she got to be alone with Amity.
Boscha stood next to her, kneeled down, and offered her to be her Queen, to rule new Hexide together. To be the duo that they once were.
"I love you Amity !" Boscha finally declared. "Please, join me, be my girlfriend, and my Queen !"
And Amity....Amity said no.
"Wha...what, what do you mean no !"
"I mean no. No to everything you said, I got on interest in ruling this hell whole. Specially not with you. Now if you excuse me, I need to find Luz."
No...No it...it wasn't supposed to go like this.
Amity should have accepted, she should have become her queen, but now...now she is leaving Boscha....for that human again.
"No, I won't let you leave !"
"Ugh, what is wrong with you ?" Amity yelled as Boscha grabbed her.
"You are mine Amity, you hear me, MINE ! I won't allow you to return to that stupid human again !"
Then Matthalomule had to get involved, throwing a tower between them.
"RUN !" He yelled.
Amity nodded at him, and rushed of.
"I AM NOT LETTING YOU GO BACK TO HER !" Boscha yelled, throwing potions.
But when the smoke cleared, Amity was gone.
"No...no no, she can't have left, she can't !"
Suddenly, Boscha was grabbed by a giant abomination hand.
She turned around, and saw she was being held by a giant abomination, and Amity was on its shoulder.
"Let me make this clear to you Boscha. I belong to no one. I am my own person, and I make my own choices.I had enough of being a puppet. Of being forced to be someone I am not. What you did here, I absolutely hate it, you became a tyrant, and that is simply despicable. And guess what, I will return to Luz. Because I love her ! I truly love her. I will yell it to the whole Boiling Isles, that I, Amity Blight, love Luz Noceda ! not you Boscha, I'm sorry, but at the same time, I am not. You're feelings are your own, but you can not expect them to be returned, just because you want to. Now last chance, stand down !"
"NEVER, I WON'T LET YOU RETURN TO HER, YOU HEAR ME, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE WITH ME, I LOVE YOU, WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LOVE ME BACK !"
"I got no time for this."
With a single swing, Amity threw Boscha across the room, hitting the wall, and knocking her out.
When Boscha came around. It was all over.
The Collector had stopped his mayhem and freed everyone, thanks to Luz befriending him.
Luz had also defeated Belos once and for all.
The islands cheered for their savior, and all Boscha could do was glare at her. Specially when Amity leaped right on her arms, and kissed her, right on the lips.
Things slowly returned to normal, but for Boscha, it was all worst.
Her taking over Hexide was not looked good upon once the school returned to normal. Soon, she found herself at the bottom of the pecking order.
She lost her place as Captain of the Grudgby team, as she could not get new players. Not that anyone cared, after all, it was all about Willow and the Emerald Entrails now.
Boscha's moms got in a lot of trouble. Specially when it was known that they had been secretly selling potions to Belos. With Odalia Blight having been proven to have known of the Day of Unity's true purpose, the high society was looked upon badly.
Still, nothing was worst than having to see Luz and Amity be together, for them to be a couple, right in front of her.
So, Boscha decided to fix that once and for all.
"A LOVE POTION !" Bump yelled.
"Uhum. Boscha here, tried to poison my daughter with a love potion." Alador Blight said. Now that he has full custody of his children, he is making sure they are well protected.
"Not to mention the damage that would have caused to Luz !" Eda yelled. "Just imagine what would have happened if this had worked !"
Boscha did not understand....her plan had been perfect.
She had bought a love potion of the market, had disguised it on a drink, and had secretly swap it with Amity's at the kitchen.
But it seems someone had realized it, because that same potion was right now, at Bump's desks.
"Lucky for us, the twins have been at Boscha's case for a while." Alador said. "When Emira saw her being suspicious, she hid herself with an illusion, and grabbed that potion before Amity could, then Edric tested it, and well, here we are."
"Not to mention it wouldn't have worked. The Blight twins did tell me of their suspicion, so I had Luz and Amity drink immunity potions." Eda said. "That doesn't excuse it though. If that had worked, Amity would have been basically been drugged to love her, meaning whatever Boscha did, would have been without consent, and basically rape."
Her mother stood at the corner, not speaking.
"Boscha, do you have anything to say for your defense ?"
Boscha growled. "Amity should have been with me, not with that stupid human."
Both Eda and Alador glared at her, but Bump spoke first.
"Boscha, I have allowed many things with you, but this.....this is too far. Edalyin is right, had you succeeded, you would have broken up a couple that loves each other, and basically performed rape on Ms. Blight. Boscha Elbon ! I am afraid you are expelled for Hexide ! Leave the premises at once, and never return !"
"WHAT....you...you can't do that !"
"I just did. And no amount of snails will make me change my mind."
Boscha looked at her mother, who just scowled at her.
There was nothing she could do about it now. It was so unfair !
Boscha later went to gather her things, when someone slammed her into her locker.
"Hey..."
"This is my final warning Boscha !" Amity said to her. "I know what you tried to do, I know of the potion. What you tried to do to Luz and I, so I will say it one last time, LEAVE US ALONE, OR I WILL SHOW YOU NO MERCY !"
With that, Amity left Boscha, walking back to her beloved Luz, who was waiting for her.
Boscha growled, wanting nothing more than that human had actually died fighting Belos.
She had ruined everything.
Time went on, and everyone moved in with their lives.
But while everything worked out for most, for Boscha, it all kept going to hell.
After a lack of ingredients thanks to decaying business, it turned out that Boscha's mom has poisoned her mama with a love potion herself, which explains why she was angry Boscha had gotten caught.
All this time, her mom had continually drugged her mama, but with the lack of ingredients, and the strict control on love potions, she was unable to keep it going.
Her mama had yelled at her mom. When Boscha was 21, she left home, and never returned.
Months later, her mom was imprisoned for that crime.
Boscha tried to get into professional grudgby, but no team would take her. Her expulsion of Hexide and cooperation with Kikimora had dragged her name to the dump.
With her family fortune gone, and with no one wanting to take her in a team. Boscha was forced to open a shop of Grudgby items, in a way to support herself. Her manor had to be sold, and she moved in to a tiny apartment at the town's center. Not the life she imagined.
She tried to date, but she couldn't. None of them were who she wanted. None of them were Amity.
From her lonely life, she saw how everyone moved on.
She saw Skara marry that oracle boy she had fallen for at their last year. She saw the rest of her teammates move on, with Cat making it into a professional team, and Amelia starting her own business with her partner.
She saw how Half a Witch Willow had her dream come true, and became a professional fiery derby player, and even got engage to the former Golden Guard.
She saw and heard with great anger, how Luz and Amity moved on. Their dates, moving in together, how they both proposed at the same time. Their wedding, which those who attended said was like a dream wedding come true. How they even had a second one at the human realm.
It made her blood boil. That should have been her, that should have been her, that should have been her life.
But then, it was one morning, one morning that she picked the news, that finally broke her.
Boscha stepped outside her home, and looked at the news headline.
"BREAKING ! First in history, Amity Blight has given birth to her and Luz Noceda's baby, Azura Noceda Blight, making her the first ever human-witch hybrid ! The couple have expressed their joy on this new chapter of their lives.... "
It was that. That news, with that photo. Of Amity's extremely pleased face, that finally made Boscha take action.
She would get Amity, no matter what it took.
"So that is the deal. You are to spy on the council, and make sure the attack is ready for the Golden Guard's wedding, am I clear ?"
"Just as long as you keep your word Odalia !"
"Yes yes, Mittens will be all yours. I will get her to divorce that human, and she will become your wife."
"Good." Boscha said, shaking Odalia's hand.
"Welcome to the Confederation Boscha."
At last, Boscha would fight to write the wrongs that had been brought to her.
She would get revenge on those that hurt her, and get the one she truly desires.
But, as always, things did not go her way.
Odalia had lied, with no intention of keeping her word.
The Confederation was defeated, with Odalia being killed by Amity, who let her fall to the Boiling Sea.
Boscha was captured, imprisoned, and sentenced to spend the next 40 years of her life behind bars.
This can not be how it ends.
"Hey Boscha." Steve yelled. "You got a visitor."
"Who is it ?"
"You will see."
Steve cuffed Boscha (who could not use her magic thanks to the Collector) and dragged her to the visitors room.
And in that chair, stood Amity Blight.
Boscha had imagined this scenario many times. Her and Amity, finally alone, sitting like this, declaring their love and...being together.
It was clear however, this was not the case. Amity had her wedding ring clearly desplayed.
"You know.....I have always been wondering...what led you to this." Amity said. "You could have moved on with your life. You could have gotten your own career, your own family. But you were stuck in the past, unable to move away from it. It’s like you are stuck in a place. Why is it ?”
“I love you. I always had. From the day we met. I thought we were gonna be together, but then you changed. You went soft, and went for that human. Why, why did you change for her, why couldn’t you stay with me !”
“Three eyes and you are still blind. You were not in love with me Boscha, the person that you hanged out with, was a facade that Odalia forced me to put on. The green haired version of me, it’s really a copy of Odalia. The purple haired one, it’s who I am. Luz didn’t make me change, she brought me back, gave me the strength to be myself again. The one person that bothered to look behind the scenes, and get to truly know me. That’s the difference between her and you Boscha. You were just happy with me doing what you wanted, Luz wanted me to be myself. Unlike you, she never claims she owns me or anything like that, we are equals, and if I’m honest, i don’t think you’ll know what that is.”
“If That human hadn’t showed up...”
“No. Stop it. If Luz hadn’t showed up, we would all have been dead ! And she didn’t force you do what you did. She didn’t force you to actually kill people. That was you Boscha, it was your actions that lead to this. You and you alone, is the only person to blame for you being in prison.”
Boscha growled.
“What do you want Blight ?”
“I guess I was curious. I wanted to know if it was worth it, but I think I have my answer. In your eyes, you are still in the right, you still think you were right to do this, and will blame others for your failures. I guess some people can’t truly change. Belos couldn’t, Odalia couldn’t....and clearly you can’t either.”
With that, Amity stood up.
“And the other thing I’m here for. Is because I once told you something that I think you need to hear again,”
Boscha payed close attention, what could it be...
“The answer is no Boscha. Take away the fact that I’m married to Luz and we have Azura. The awnser is still no. I don’t love you, and to be frank, I don’t even like you. I have zero interest in being on a relationship with you Boscha. Now I truly hope that you listen to this, and finally move on from something that is not happening. Not now, and not ever. At least for your own sake. Goodbye Boscha.”
With that Amity left the room.
Probably going back to Luz. Her beloved wife. The one that had what Boscha truly wanted.
And what she never would get.
As she waited for the guards to take her back to her cell, Boscha heard the noice of the door that Amity left from.
It felt....definitive.
Boscha will always love Amity. She can’t stop.
But Amity will never love her. And there is nothing she can do about it.
Now Boscha is all alone, and no one will ever come for her.
It is over.
