Loki/Peter Parker (Fluff)
In the long, golden, ethereal halls of Asgard's town hall resided a young boy, not much older than 17, with curly brown hair and greenish-hazel eyes. The boys name was Peter, a bright and studious teen that was deeply fascinated by the culture and history of Asgard. He had all sorts of books and scrolls in the small cranny of town hall that held Asgard's smallest, yet most interesting library. The small teen held a book in his palm, reading quietly in the dark room with the smell of old pages and citrus. Peter tended to mostly stay in the hall, in his small little cranny of his small little world. But, every so often, he would venture out of his cave to see the gods of Asgard. The royal family, the people that swore to protect them, would make daily appearances in and around the city. They didn't attend the hall much unless there was a festival or celebration. But today was different. Peter knew the gods would be visiting the town hall for a small appearance. And that would also mean, he would get a chance to see his best friend: Loki.
The god was busy most of the time annoying his brother or causing mischief as per usual. But, Peter had been friends with Loki since they were children and tried their best to see each other when they could. Peter had always been welcome to visit Loki in the castle, but Peter refused, merely to stay humble. It was a great honor to see the personal living areas of the gods, and an even greater honor to be in their personal chambers. Peter had been in Loki's room only once when the two were about 10, when Loki had transported him there despite his saying not to. In which Loki was promptly yelled at by his father for using magic in his chambers.
But nevertheless, Peter was happy to get to see his friend, whom had actually promptly materialized in front of him. Peter choked on his spit, coughing as the teen god laughed in front of him.
"Hey, Pete. Long time no see!" Loki leaned forward, hugging his friend, whom had calmed down from his literal heart attack.
"Hey, Loki. How are you?"
"Oh, you know. Just the usual, trying to kill my brother and all that." Loki smiled sheepishly, Peter chuckling and standing up, setting down his book.
"So, whats up? You're here early."
"You were expecting me?"
"Well, I-...well, you know! All of you guys are gonna be in the hall today, everyone knows about it." Peter blushed and folded his arms awkwardly.
“Yes, I know. You’re so in love with me you simply couldn’t wait for my arrival!” Loki put his hands over his chest, acting like he was swooning.
“Oh my gosh. Shut up,” Peter laughed punching the god lightly.
“Careful there, Pete. One flick of a finger and you’re fish guts.”
Peter just looked at him sternly, but with care, chuckling and moving past the god to see out the library doors. Outside, a large group had gathered at the entrance of the hall, making sure not to block the walkway, but awaiting the royal family’s arrival.
“Don’t you have to be out there soon?” Peter turned to Loki.
He simply shrugged, “No, not really. Most people are there just to see Dad and Thor,” he walked toward the boy, “but, I was wondering if you wanted to go out. Hang out for a little bit since I’m free?”
Peter smiled, “Of course! How did you manage to get free time?”
“Oh, you know, begging for dear life. My mom was around, so that helped a little.”
“I feel so bad for you. You can hardly go outside.”
Loki chuckled, “Oh, I can go anywhere I very well damn please. It’s just that I’ll have to pay the price when I get back.”
Just then, the pair heard loud cheering and clapping, signaling the arrival of the royal family.
Loki sighed and ran his hand down his face, “Ugh. They’re here, lets get out of here.”
“Hold on, let me close up,” Peter turned the open sign over and turned off the lights, going to open the door.
“Just lock it,” Loki went ahead and did it himself, “I don’t want to go out there.”
“Oh, yeah that makes sense.”
And like that, both of them were now just outside the hall, away from the roaring crowd and bustling stone streets. But now, Loki was disguised as just a regular town-folk, keeping his long, curly hair, but adjusting his face ever so slightly. He was also in a simple, green robe. Nothing special, but still very attractive.
Of course, Peter knew Loki was attractive. Everyone knew he was attractive, but his reputation, partly in due by his father, gave most the impression that he was mischievous and cruel, leaving many to avoid the teen. Headlines in the town would occasionally intentionally leave him out of events. But Loki was fine with that. He was always a loner. Well, almost. He had his friend Peter by his side. He could always count on Peter, always.
"So, what did you want to do?" Peter said, looking at the god.
"Well, it may seem repetitive since we've literally lived here our whole lives, but...Chester's?"
Loki gave Peter a sheepish smile, his grin ever showing even in disguise.
"Of course! I love Chester's, I haven't been since the last time we hang out.
Chester's was the most famous ice cream parlor in Asgard. It had been the teens favorite since they were young and they always went every time they had a chance to spend time together. As they walked down the barren street, the towns folk all at the town hall, they smelled the sweet air of candy and ice cream treats. Peter opened the fluorescent door for the god, him striding inside, the owner, Chester, immediately knowing who it was.
"Ah, my favorite customer, how are you today?" Chester said, intentionally leaving out Loki's name despite there being no one around.
You could never be too careful.
"I'm fine. Just the usual today," he said, sitting at the bar as the man went to work, scooping up the ice cream.
"Same for me," Peter, sitting next to the god, had always been very fond of the swiveling bar chairs.
Chester handed the two their ice cream, watching their faces light up as they dug into their sweet treat.
Peter groaned, getting a freeze brain as he took a particularly large bite of ice cream.
Loki and Chester laughed, Chester leaving to the back to restock his product for the oncoming of townsfolk after the appearance. Loki sighed, looking down at the teen next to him, and scooping more into his mouth. Loki smiled as he recounted their time together. Loki was always very fond of Peter, they had been best friends since the beginning. Peter was always there for him, and Loki for him. But as the god continued looking at the curly-hair wonder, he began to feel a sudden warmth in his gut, a strong pulsating of his heart, and a quick sweat of his hands. He blushed, realizing this strange feeling was butterflies. He had butterflies for his best friend.
Loki sputtered, slightly choking on his ice cream as he turned beat red, Peter taking notice.
"Are you alright?" the teen said as Loki hid his face from the teen.
"Oh, yeah. I-I'm fine. Yeah, totally. Fine." Loki was never a good liar. Sure, he was good at persuasion, but Peter could always tell when he was lying.
"Yeah, alright. What's up?" Peter was now concerned, Loki had had a reason to lie to him
"I'm sorry. Really, it's nothing."
Peter grabbed the gods hands from his face, seeing the teens red face and sweat on his palms.
"Are you sick?" Peter was really concerned now.
"I-...no. I don't know." Loki was quiet for a moment, taking in the moment.
"Peter." Loki said, still not looking at the teen.
"Yeah?"
"Would you ever court me? I mean, I know we are best friends, but just-...hypothetically?"
Now Peter was silent as he blushed, the god now looking right at him.
"I-...I-.... I don't know. Maybe, if this is because you think no one loves you, I can tell you that, as your best friend, I love you very much, and so does your mom. And your brother." Peter said, trying to reassure the god.
"No, no. It's not that. I just...I think I like you, Peter. Like...like like you."
Peter turned beat red as he took in the information, turning it around in his head as much as he could. But, as the god said that, part of him wanted it. Part of him felt drawn to the confession. As if he had known all along. As if, he too...felt the same.
"I think I like you too." Peter said, looking at the god.
"Will you be my boyfriend?" Loki said, taking the teens hand.
"Yes," Peter smiled up at him, hugging the teen tightly to his chest as they both grinned so high their cheeks hurt.
And just beyond them, was Chester, whom had known all along that they were meant to be.
