the first of many surprises
The morning of the field trip Peter drags himself out of bed, calls on his friends and heads upstairs to find out more information about the dreaded nightmare that he was living.
Just as Ned and MJ walk out of the elevator, they hear Peter questioning Tony "What do you mean they're going to stay on my floor?!"
"I mean your class is going to stay on your floor," Tony replies
"There are confidential contracts and projects in my office and Labs. If they are on my floor they are going to start exploring and you know where that can lead to!" Peter argues
"Where else are they going to stay then?" Tony asks
"There is an entire floor dedicated to overnight visitors. One of the rooms is big enough to fit my entire class!" Peter says exasperatedly "this is your building dad you don't even know where some of the rooms are, and that's just sad!"
"I know, I know," tony says sighing
"Don't quote Uncle Steve to me!" Peter says annoyed
"What's going on?" Ned questions wanting to break up the argument no matter how interesting it is
"Dad says that the class has to stay on our floor. And I'm saying that they can't because of the confidential projects such as the avengers' weapons!" Peter exclaims to his best friend
"I agree with Peter, Mr Stark. We can't let the class stay on the floor. If they find out that two of the rooms are locked and that Shuri is on the floor they're going to flip and start questioning us three. Plus I'm assuming we're going to be announced as interns here when we walk through security and Peter's full name is going to be announced?" MJ questions
"Yup!" Tony replies popping the 'p'
"What do mean 'Yup'? My full name and the fact that I have the highest clearing along with the fact that I'm the heir is announced when I walk through the security buzzers?!!" Peter yells
"Peter calms down, but I tried to change it earlier. FRI won't let me!" Tony argues in his defence
"FRI?" Peter growls
"Sorry Peter, but I cannot change it. Mrs Stark has given me clear instructions on it," The AI replies solemnly
"Okay, fine! But they are staying in the largest overnight visitors' room! I'm going to tell the receptionist. And Happy is dropping us off," Peter declares going to the elevator while MJ and Ned scurry after him
~time skip~
"What's up Penis Parker? What's got you all in a mood? Scared that your internship is going to get proven wrong?" Flash taunts
"Do you know what's get proven this trip Flash?" MJ questions annoyed at the bully
"What?" Flash asks
"Your stupidity, so shut up before it increases," MJ replies with a smirk
"Okay, that's enough! We have been given this opportunity to go visit this prestigious company. Principal Morita will be meeting us there," Mr Harrington says "MJ, Ned, Peter I'm sure you guys know what's happening there?"
"No Mr Harrington. Mr and Mrs Stark haven't told us anything. they wanted to keep it a secret," Peter replies
Nodding Mr Harrington turns back to class and says "During this trip, there will be a series of tasks. We have not been informed what they are so, during each task I expect you all to be on your best behaviour."
The rest of the bus ride to the tower, the class talks with each other and they all are buzzing with excitement, including Ned and MJ. Peter sits there thinking of all the terrible things that could happen during the trip, starting with the security buzzers. Being so much in his mental state, Peter doesn't notice that they got to the tower till MJ nudges him to get him back into reality.
Walking out onto the pavement in front of the tower Peter just about hears what principal Morita is Saying "Mr Stark was kind enough to contact the school and allow your class in specificity to come to tour SI. So during this trip, I expect all of you to behave and make our school stand out."
Once in the tower, Peter makes himself look smaller and sticks to the back of the class. Ned and MJ stick with him having nearly spent an entire month here at the tower.
Soon a tour Guide by the name of Amy comes down the badges for the touring group and she begins "Hello everyone. My name is Amy Smith. I'm a level 4 intern here at SI. I mainly help with the tour groups and occasionally go to the labs to help out with the projects that the other Interns are working on. I will hand out your IDs and while you are in this building the Id has to be visible otherwise, the head of security, Happy, gets grumpy."
While handing out the Ids, Amy notices Peter and his friends and asks "Hey MS. Do you three have your IDs?"
Nodding Peter replies "Yh we do. Has dad said anything about what's going to happen today to you?"
"Not really. Sorry, spidey. I'll talk to you later okay?" Amy asks
Just as she went to the front of the class, Flash's hand went up and he asked "What do the different levels mean?"
"good question. Well, there are 12 levels here at SI. The daytime visitors and Media have level 1 access, and Level 2 is for the overnight visitors, and people who have family and friends here at SI. Level 3 is for the business partners and potential clients that SI may get. Level 4 is the tour guides and the beginning interns. Levels 5 and 6 are for the cleaners and they are the only low-level employees here at SI that have full access to the tower. Levels 7-9 are for much more advanced Interns. Level 10 is for the rouge avengers and two very high Interns, those two interns particularly work for Pepper Stark and Bruce Banner. Level 11 is for the avengers who live here. And finally, Level 12 is for Pepper Stark, Tony Stark and their Son who happens to be here on the tour with us. Did I get everything Fri?" Amy says and whispers breakout upon hearing that the Starks do have a son.
"Yes, Miss Smith," the AI replies
When everyone other than the trio jumps Amy chuckles and says "Thats F.R.I.D.A.Y she's like family to us. So during your trip, if you need anything just ask her. And if you follow me, We'll go to the security buzzers."
Amy scans her ID card and walks through the buzzer as F.R.I.D.A.Y announces "Amy smith, level 4 intern/ tour guide. No weapons."
"Okay, so who wants to go first?" Amy questions
Flash being Flash goes through first and F.R.I.D.A.Y announces "Eugene Thompson, Level 2 Visitor, No Weapons."
One by one the rest of the class and the teachers walk through the buzzer leaving the trio on the opposite side.
Ned walks through the buzzer and F.R.I.D.A.Y announces and greets him happily and with warmth in her voice "Edward 'ned' Leeds, Level 10 Intern of Bruce Banner, authorised weapons. Welcome back Ned, would you like me to inform Dr Banner?"
"Thanks, FRI, but I'm on a field trip today so no need," Ned replies
Next was MJ and FRIDAY greets her happily and with the same warmth in her voice "Michelle 'MJ' Jones, Level 10 Intern of Pepper Stark, authorised weapons. Welcome back MJ, would you like me to inform Mrs Stark?"
"Thanks, FRI. But I'm on a field trip today" Mj says happily
And finally Peter "Peter Parker, level 12, heir and future of SI. Welcome back Peter would you like me to inform Boss?"
"No thanks, Fri. I'm on a -" Peter begins
"what the hell?! how come Penis has a level 12 pass and is the heir and future of SI?" Flash angrily shouts
"Mr Thompson -" Amy starts
"Amy," Peter begins shaking his head "Flash I'm sorry but have you ever heard of the word manners? because I'm pretty sure, what you just did isn't what your parents taught you. Here at SI, respect and trust is the basis of the work done here. So if you say something like that again you will be kicked out."
Peter's class and the teachers are rendered into silence. They have never heard Peter speak more confidently in their lives and it was different. They witnessed a new side of him and they didn't know what they could say. Flash was just opening and closing his mouth words not coming out of his mouth.
"I'm sorry for Flash's behaviour Amy. Carry on. As you know both F.R.I.D.A.Y and Karan have taken the footage," Peter's apologies
"Thank you, MS. Now if you follow me we will be going to the overnight visitor rooms and then head up to the Avengers Museum as the first part of the tour and then we will be going on to your first activity of the day," Amy says walking in front of the group, Flash still unable to form words at what happened earlier.
