Queen: hey love. I will be in the states this week. Do you have some time for me?
IronHeart: of course I do. But, I’m in Chicago this week remember? I’ll be here until Sunday.
Queen: yes I remember. I will be in town and in meetings Wednesday afternoon. But, I can come by Wednesday night. Is that ok?
IronHeart: yep. That’s perfect because I have brunch with my cousins that afternoon. Actually, I need some money for brunch too. Please.
Queen: You can have anything you want love. I’ll drop by in the morning before my meeting and bring you some money. That way, I can get a good luck kiss ;)
IronHeart: I can’t wait to see you.
RIRI POV
The chatter in this house is deafening. I mean, I know my girlfriend is famous and all but damn! Have some decorum. I just broken the news to my family that Shuri will be stopping by BRIEFLY tomorrow morning to drop something off for me. And they have lost their collective mind at the thought of meeting the Queen of Wakanda. But, this is exactly why I told them now instead of springing it on them when she shows up tomorrow.
THE NEXT DAY
Three of Riri’s cousins stood in the driveway gossiping about god knows what while Riri sat in the living room with her aunts watching Judge Judy. Her phone rings to let her know she has a new text. It’s Shuri. She is pulling up now. Riri goes to search for her crocs to meet her outside.
Meanwhile, her cousins watch as an all black SUV with tinted windows pull up in front of the house.
“I bet that’s her. Shuri’s sexy ass.”
“Mhmm. Girl I’ve never wished I was in someone else’s shoes so bad.”
“Y’all thirsty AF. And it ain’t cute.”
Then a tall bald woman exits the passenger seat and opens the back door. Out steps Shuri in her official Wakandan garb. She was holding a cup in her had and eating fruit out of it. The time difference is killing her and Okoye wouldn’t agree to bring her here unless she ate something for breakfast.
“Ohh mah gawd! Look at her. She is bad as hell!”
“Look at how she is eating that. You just KNOW she’s a mf munch!”
“I hope Riri comes out here and beats yall’s ass!”
Just then Riri exits the house and walks past them avoiding eye contact. She walks straight up to Shuri and smiles.
“Hey.”
“Hi love.” Shuri smiles bright.
Riri looks down at her hands and asks, “What are you eating?”
“It’s fruit. Okoye made me eat it for breakfast. You want some?”
Riri looks up and makes eye contact with Shuri. But, she says nothing.
“Open your mouth.” Shuri commands.
Riri immediately obeys and is rewarded with the sweet taste of cantaloupe as Shuri feeds her, never breaking eye contact. As Riri chews, Shuri leans in and quickly kisses her lips, then continues eating. Once Riri swallows, Shuri gestures towards her pocket wanting her to take out the wallet stashed there. Riri pulls it out, counts out how much cash she will need, and puts it back.
“Are you sure you have enough? Why don’t you treat your cousins to brunch? I’m sure they would appreciate it.” Shuri glances behind her to look at the 3 women not so subtlety staring at them.
Riri scrunched her face. “Those thirsty bitches will be ok.”
That caught Shuri off guard and she laughed. “You are so cute.” She then hands the empty cup to the guard next to them and adjusts her outfit. “How do I look?”
“Mmmmm. You look good baby. You’re going to kill it today. You don’t need any luck.” Riri answers.
“Yes I do.” Shuri nearly pouts.
Riri chuckles and pulls her forward by her collar to giver her a kiss. The kiss started off innocent, but quickly escalated. To the point where her cousins turned away, and the guard next to them had to loudly clear her throat to get their attention. Shuri apologized to the guard and turned back to her girlfriend to give her small kisses all over her face.
“My Queen, we must leave now if we are to make it on time.” The guard said.
“Yes, of course.” She turned back to her girlfriend and gave her one last peck. “I’ll see you later tonight love.” With a wink, she got into the car and they were off.
Riri turned and walked back to the house already counting down the minutes until she gets to see her baby again.
