Just feel the Christmas spirit
Stephen didn't understand why Wong thought it would be a good idea to throw another party at Kamar-taj. The previous time, despite being rather inebriated, he needed to make everyone forget about what had occurred. The fact that no one died is still a miracle to him, but the artifacts won't be returning anytime soon, and he didn't want to travel to the dark dimension only to look for them even if they probably had already been destroyed. Perhaps it was for the best that nobody remembered that party and since he was the one who cast the spell, it's not like other people actually knew what happened.
Just then Wong broke his train of thought “By the Vishanti, you are aware that I might use a hand.”
“I think you're doing just fine without me," the sorcerer said, grinning at him.
“You know that America always tries to avoid her responsibilities, but even she did more than you.” Wong said, standing in the center of the dining hall with his hands on his hips and a disappointed expression on his face.
“Give her a break; she's a kid." Stephen demanded as he eventually picked up a box of globes and walked towards the location of the sorcerer supreme. America has endured a lot, so he was happy to be able to provide her a life that was, at least in some ways, normal.
Wong just chuckled at that and took the box in his hands. ”Speaking of her, where is she?”
Stephen didn’t know why but he felt his heart drop. He usually had this absurd thought everytime he was with her at Kamar-taj. The incident with Wanda left wounds on all of them, especially on the girl, even if the sorcerer was aware that she was safe and that it was ridiculous to have that fear. He and you were always there, but the night terros she was experiencing were something else. God forbid she would open a portal out of fear because of the nightmare she is having. He can’t lose her.
“America?” He yelled, his brows furrowing.
"In the kitchen!" The younger girl's calm voice somehow eased the sorcerer considerably.
He went to the kitchen, where he was surprised to see that not just America, but also you were in there, eating cookies. On the counter, there was a book open as well, but he couldn't see the contents of it from where he was. He really needs to schedule an appointment.
“What are you two up to?” He noticed some cookie crumbs on your face and asked as he got closer to you. Then he softly brushes it away by running his fingers across your lips.
“Now that America is aware of the mistletoe custom, she wants to hang some around Kamar-taj.“ You chuckle softly and then stood on your tiptoes to give him a swift kiss before continuing on. “It is only fair that I help her.”
“But the question is.. do you wish to help us?" He simply couldn't say no because the girl's excitement was so obvious on her face. In addition, watching Wong's reaction would be amusing.
"I'm in if you also offer me a cookie." he makes a remark before snatching one from the girl's hand.
“Hey!” America then lunged at him from behind, laughing, and demanded that he should give her snack back. Oh, it was obvious that he wouldn't get away with it.

The three of you were sneaking around the temple for the next few hours, positioning mistletoes so they weren't too noticeable. However, thanks to your brilliant idea, when two people were standing underneath them, it would make a small firework, just enough to catch their attention without hurting them, of course. America once came dangerously close to being caught by Master Hamir, but she was lucky that Rintrah was nearby. She was saved too many times by that minotaur, especially considering that she occasionally skipped some courses. However, no one could blame her because she had to discover this universe because it was her home now.
The Strange family would have hung more if they had more time, but because everyone else had to leave to get ready for the party and it would have been suspicious if they were the only ones there, so they also made their way to the Sanctum. Although she enjoyed parties a lot, America hated the attire she needed to wear. She could have worn something more comfortable if it had been a regular party, but she was unable to do so due to the regulations, which Wong nevertheless adhered to strictly.
The robes you had to wear didn't appeal to either of you, but it would only be for a short while so you could resist. But if Stephen would stop kissing you, you could get dressed more quickly.
For a while, the two of you continued to kiss and explore one another, but when America knocked on the door, the sorcerer finally stopped.
“We're almost ready!” You yelled and he finally went to get dressed. You were still getting used to a literal kid being there, so yeah, having someone else in the Sanctum was odd, but not in a bad way. The first time she saw her room here would be a night you would never forget. You really didn't think that something like that could make you cry, but oh boy, you were wrong. The young latina did truly steal both of your hearts, but you wouldn't have it any other way.
She hardly voiced a complaint about the attire, which shocked you both, but it was obvious she was eager to go to the party. In fact, you three were interested in observing how others might respond to the mistletoes around the temple.
People were startled throughout the night when a pair of two occasionally managed to walk under one of the mistletoes. Some of them kissed, whether it was on the lips or the cheek, but some didn't. Since nobody began to inquire as to who actually hanged them, they were safe from the sorcerer supreme's anger. Not that any of you actually cared. —Who are you trying to fool? Wong is so scary sometimes.
"How's the party going thus far?" Your boyfriend's voice rang out from behind you.
When you glanced at him, it was obvious that he had already had some alcohol. Occasionally, it was entertaining to watch Stephen make a fool of himself. “If you were here with me, maybe I would enjoy the party more.” You stated as you give him a wink.
“Can I show you something?” he asked as he gave you a lazy smile. You nodded, and the doctor seized your hands in his and dragged you a little after him.
A firework burst into view as you were moving towards the Christmas tree. Stephen pulled you closer and gave you a gentle kiss despite the fact that you appeared perplexed about your surroundings and could not see any mistletoes.
Still curious about the location of the mistletoe as you pulled away while giggling, you asked him, "Where is it?"
He merely grinned at you and shrugged his shoulders without responding to you.
“Come on, Stephen.” As you began to play with a hair on the back of Strange's neck, you pleaded.
“It isn't visible.” He spoke as he leaned in close to you, his breath lightly brushing your lips.
"You really wanted to kiss me under an invisible mistletoe, didn't you? You didn't need to bring me here so that you could kiss me; you could have done it anywhere.” A proud grin lip up on your boyfriend’s facial features. He really was wasted.
He leaned in closer, just kissing you on the lips briefly, and murmured, "Just feel the Christmas spirit."
"I can feel the liquor on your lips though." Although you weren't entirely sure why he brought you here, as long as the two of you were together, you didn't mind. Also it was funny to spend your night with a drunk Stephen.
