[1V1 - Izuku Midoriya VS Shoto Todoroki]
OOC Midoriya Izuku (More like, he swears a lot.) | Izuku has a Fire Quirk (but he uses it like Delsin Rowe's Conduit Powers) | Izuku has a harem (Don't worry, you'll find out.) | Izuku is not Ochako's friend (He forgave her, but he doesn't want her back in his life) | Power Fantasy | Izuku adopted Eri way before her deadbeat mother gave her to the Shie Hassaikai | The Midoriya VS Todoroki fight is shorter than canon | Todoroki never used his fire (He's way too fucking stubborn) | Todoroki has a different reason for not using his fire in this
"ALRIGHT! FOR THE FIRST MATCHUP OF THE SECOND ROUND! THESE TWO STUDENTS HAVE BEEN PART OF THE FEW EYE-CATCHERS IN THE ENTIRE FESTIVAL! BUT NOW, THIS MATCHUP WILL DETERMINE WHO'S BETTER THAN THE OTHER! ARE Y'ALL READYYYYYYYY!?" Present Mic announced, as the stadium erupted.
"ON ONE SIDE; THIS GUY SETTLED HIS FIRST MATCHUP IN A LANDSLIDE WITH A MASSIVE ICE-COLD ATTACK, AND HE'S THE YOUNGEST SON OF ONE OF THE MOST TENACIOUS HEROES IN THE WORLD! FROM CLASS 1A... IT'S SHOTO TODOROKIIIIII!!!" Present Mic announced, and the crowd cheered as the youngest Todoroki made his way onto the arena, wearing a serious scowl on his face.
"Oh, man, Todoroki looks pissed," Kaminari commented as a bead of sweat went down his and Mineta's forehead. "Pissed? He's not the one who lost in our match, is he?" Hanta said, still sore over his loss against Shoto.
"VERSUS! THIS GUY HAS PROVEN HIMSELF TO BE AN UNKOWN POWERHOUSE ALONGSIDE HIS WEB-SLINGING CLASSMATE, AND HE'S THE COUSIN OF THE DRAGOON HERO: RYUUKYU! HE'S ALSO VOTED THE MOST ATTRACTIVE STUDENT 1ST-YEAR STUDENT ACCORDING TO Yuuei.SPORTSFESTPOLLS.net! FROM CLASS 1C... IT'S IZUKU MIDORIYAAAAA!!!" Present Mic hyped the crowd up as the green-haired pyrokinetic walked onto the arena, wearing an indifferent expression. The women cheered harder as he craned his head to give them a small smile.
"Tokoyami," Tenya called to his crow-headed classmate, "who do you think will win?"
"Hmm... I want to say Todoroki would win, but considering how adept Midoriya is with his Fire Quirk, this match could honestly go in Midoriya's favor," Tokoyami said in reply.
"Midoriya will win." The two boys turned to Ochaco, a serious expression in her eyes. "You'll see."
"Uraraka, you know him, yes?" Iida asked her, who only gave a small nod. " Can you tell us about his Quirk?"
"Honestly, nothing much." Ochako said as she shrugged. "Back then, he didn't show signs of having a Quirk; this is the first time I've ever seen it," she told them, choosing not to tell them how she was pressured by Katsuki into bullying the green-haired boy.
"I see," Iida said, turning back to the arena.
"You boys know the rules?" Midnight raised her flogger-style whip as she asked the two rivals, who both merely nodded as one glared at the other.
"Let's have a good match, Todoroki-san." Izuku said, only to be ignored as Shoto glared past him.
'The second the match starts, I'll finish it...' Shoto thought. Izuku merely closed his eyes.
At that, Midnight brought her whip down. "Begin!"
'Now!' Without missing a beat, Shoto brought forth a massive wave of ice to trap Izuku like he did with Sero.
When the ice got closer and closer to Izuku, he opened his eyes. And as soon as he did, he unleashed a wave of fire and melted the ice as quickly as it formed, forcing Shoto to erect ice walls both in front of him and behind him to shield himself and keep himself from being blown away.
"WHOA! WHAT'S WITH THAT COUNTERATTACK!?" Present Mic yelled out, as gobsmacked as the crowd even as they cheered. Shoto pushed off the ice angrily as he stared at his opponent, who only wiped the small specks of ice off his PE top.
"You got a black belt in stupidity if you think you could half-ass your way to the top," taunted Izuku.
"You're only delaying the inevitable," Shoto snarled as he stomped his right foot, sending spikes of ice once again towards Izuku who only exploded into a fiery vortex until the fire swirled to reform Izuku and made him float.
"Fine," Izuku replied, "don't get mad when you lose." At that, he separated his hands as he raised them, both of which were glowing.
'Radiant Sweep!' Izuku thought as he shot out beams of fire from his hands, all of which were heading towards Shoto who summoned an ice wall to shield himself. Unfortunately, Izuku's blasts chipped away slowly at the ice, and when the ice finally gave in, Izuku shot his last fireball which, instead of blasting his opponent away, just spread itself around his opponent's body, rendering him unable to move.
"WHOA! OFFENSE AND DEFENSE IN ONE ATTACK!? HOW IS THIS GUY NOT IN THE HERO COURSE!?" Present Mic said, making the crowd erupt once again. "He enrolled for General Studies, and for good reason," Eraserhead said in response, as he looked at Izuku's file. "Considering he possessed a very complicated Quirk with a manifestation requirement I'd rather not get into, it's understandable he decided to try to get in the Hero Course via Sports Festival."
Seeing Shoto's current state, Midnight asked him, "Can you move, Todoroki?"
Shoto grit his teeth. "YES, I CAN!" He roared as he summoned his largest glacier to free himself and trap Izuku in the process.
The crowd screamed as they shielded themselves from the cold. Izuku's eyes widened as the ice covered him quicker than he could destroy them.
"WHAT A TURN-AROUND! JUST WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING YOUR STUDENTS, ERASERHEAD!?" Present Mic yelled out, making Eraserhead wince as the crowd cheered yet again.
Midnight raised her whip. "Izuku Midoriya is incapacitated. The winner is-"
*thud*
She stopped. Was there an earthquake?
*thud*
There it was again. This time the crowd was feeling it too.
*thud*
"What...?" Shoto couldn't help but ask. The impacts were becoming more pronounced now.
*thud*
...
Then the impacts were gone, as quickly as they came. Silence reigned the arena once again. But just as Midnight was about to speak again, the ice shattered.
*KRAKOOOOOMMM!!!!*
Fire suddenly erupted from within the ice, breaking it nearly instantly. The ice melted into water as it rained down, with steam covering one half of the arena for a moment. Cementoss had to erect a concrete wall around himself, Midnight and in front of the crowd to protect themselves from the fire and ice shards.
"YO! WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!? CAN'T SEE ANYTHING FROM HERE!" Present Mic yelled, making Eraserhead wince again.
Then the steam dissipated, and Shoto held a look of shock. As did everyone else; except Lucas, who only smirked at the development.
Because in front of him is Izuku Midoriya, with a fiery crown on his forehead blazing almost as bright as the sun. Fire burned from his feet like jet thrusters as he floated off the steaming puddles on the concrete.
"AMAZING! THINGS ARE REALLY HEATING UP NOW!" Present Mic announced, as the crowd had mixed reactions to that. One half of the crowd started cheering as hard as they can; the other half only groaned at the terrible joke).
"You're not gonna take this tournament as serious as you should?" Izuku asked Shoto, an indifferent tone in his voice as he continued, "Fine. Lose for me." He summoned two waves of fire by slicing his arms diagonally, making the scarred boy use his fire in a panic. Fortunately for Shoto, his fire merely absorbed Izuku's.
Eraserhead narrowed his eyes in thought when he saw it, 'I thought I told you not to hold back, Todoroki...'
Izuku blinked, then furrowed his eyebrows in anger. "'Half-cold, Half-hot'... You could use fire the whole fucking time?" He growled.
Shoto had a look of anger as he snuffed out his flames. "I will never use it!" He yelled.
"You will." Izuku retorted, raising his arm to shoot a fiery beam towards his opponent, who narrowly dodged the attack. "Come on; use it," He said as he raised his other arm this time, sending out fireball after fireball towards Shoto. "Use it!" Izuku raised his voice as the scarred boy erected an ice wall, which only melted when it made contact with the fire.
"Use it!" Izuku kept urging as he forced Shoto to dodge his fiery attacks again as he slid around the arena on his ice making his own counterattacks; all of which were evaded by Izuku.
"Fucking use it, you arrogant little shit!" Izuku yelled to his opponent, whose eyes widened at the usage of the word "arrogant". 'How dare he!? My worthless excuse of a father doesn't hide the fact that he's an overpowered clout-whore, but somehow I'M arrogant!?' He thought as he lashed out in fury.
Meanwhile, in the Hero Course section of the stands, Katsuki bristled as his eyes widened. As far as he knew Izuku never swore, even when he treated the green-haired boy like trash.
"For fuck's sake!" Izuku yelled, as he flame-dashed towards Shoto and then dashing away after hitting him. He kept employing this attack as he continued trying to get through to Shoto, "Everyone here's giving their all! To win! To achieve their goals! Make it to the top!"
Over at the stands, the students of Class 1A watched worriedly, with Kyouka relaying some of Izuku's words. Even Katsuki had a look of contemplation as Izuku continued, "And you really believe you'd win this when you're only half-assing your way to victory!?"
In another universe, the fiery Endeavor would watch with a scowl, furious that his son refused to use his Quirk.
That did not happen in this universe.
As Endeavor watched on, he thought back to when he confronted his son's opponent before the match. How the boy did not even look slightly fearful of him as he went on a tangent about how he will be a valuable test to his son. How he did not so much as flinch when Endeavor brought a flame-covered fist right to his freckled face before the boy just walked away in silence.
"You haven't even put a scratch on me yet! Are you trying to lose, Todoroki!?" The fiery Pro Hero snapped out of his musings when Izuku asked his opponent, who only growled back as he sent out another wave of ice. "Fine, have it your way!" Izuku yelled out.
At that, Shoto sent out another wave of ice. However, Izuku dashed off in a plume of fire which then dissipated into smoke, dodging the ice before he reappeared in a flash of fire and smoke right in front of his opponent.
'Damn!' Shoto thought as he moved to trap Izuku. However, the green-haired boy moved behind him, then started punching him as fast as a JoJo stand. After a few seconds of punching, Izuku ducked down to sweep his opponent.
As Shoto fell to the concrete, Izuku jumped, preparing his right fist as he did. Landing on top of him, Izuku punched Shoto hard, knocking him out. The crowd went silent as the ground beneath Shoto's head created an impact.
The state he was in wasn't so brutal, though it's still enough to make anyone recoil. He had blood dripping from the cuts and open wounds, and his ripped shirt could no longer cover the many bruises that littered his body.
"'Objectively stronger than me'?" Izuku questioned his KO'd opponent's words from when Shoto dragged him off to a secluded spot after the Cavalry Battle. "This pathetic excuse of a 'battle' proved you wrong."
Midnight went over to check on the Hero Course student, with Izuku moving out of the way as she did.
When she saw Shoto's chest heaving slowly, she sighed in relief, before standing up to announce her verdict. "Shoto Todoroki is unconscious! Izuku Midoriya wins!"
"WHAT A BATTLE! IT'S NOT EVERYDAY YOU GET TO WITNESS A HERO STUDENT GETTING TROUNCED BY A GENERAL STUDIES KID! YEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH!" Present Mic screamed out, not even bothering to hide his pride for one of his students. At that, the crowd slowly started clapping, until seconds later they became hysterical. The students in the General Course all stood up and clapped for their coursemate, except for Rui, who looked worried as he stared at Izuku who was silent.
"It was to be expected; Midoriya went all out while Todoroki stubbornly held back. No reason to believe Todoroki would come out on top," Eraserhead said with a look of appraisal as he looked at the green-haired boy in the arena.
"WELL, WITH THAT OUT OF THE WAY, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A HALF-HOUR BREAK TO FIX UP THE ARENA BEFORE GETTING TO THE NEXT MATCH. FEEL FREE TO GET SOME FOOD FROM LUNCH RUSH'S TEMPORARY FOOD COURT OUTSIDE THE STADIUM!" Present Mic announced, prompting Endeavor and his family to rush to the infirmary.
As many people left to get food, Midnight brought a hand to an earpiece. "Zashi, order some Medibots over here, Todoroki really needs some medical attention," she said to her coworker/friend.
"I'll come along," Midnight turned her attention to Izuku, who looked at her blankly as he continued, "I can heal him after Recovery Girl's done with him."
Midnight quirked her lips in a small smile, before nodding her head as she saw some medical robots rolling up to the downed Hero student, stretcher and medkits in their mechanical hands.
Once the robots applied first-aid on Todoroki they laid him down on the stretcher, Izuku followed them as they went along to Recovery Girl's temporary office.
While Izuku walked behind the medical robots, the boys of Class 1A talked about the fight.
"Man, Midoriya's crazy strong, huh?" Kaminari said, running a hand through his hair as he smiled wobbily.
"Yeah! So manly! Hope I get to spar with him when he gets into the Hero Course!" Eijiro said, pumping his Hardened fist into the air as Rikido and Mashirao agreed. Katsuki silently stewed in his anger beside the redhead.
"Still, why didn't he just enroll into the Hero Course from the get-go?" Mina wondered aloud, prompting her friends (sans Katsuki) to start making theories.
"It is as Mr. Aizawa said. It might've had something to do with Midoriya's Quirk Manifestion requirement," Tenya mused, putting his chin in the crook of his thumb and index finger.
As her classmates talked about the match, Ochako worriedly looked at the match's victor who followed behind the medical robots carrying her classmate.
'What happened to you, Icchan?'
===============================================================
As Izuku entered Recovery Girl's temporary infirmary, the old Heroine tried to force him out as the medical robots gently laid Shoto on a spare medical bed. Izuku said nothing, before the Todoroki family entered.
When Endeavor entered, his fiery beard started blazing furiously once he saw the green-haired boy. He tried to walk to Izuku before he was stopped by his wife, who was being flanked by their other children. As this happened, Recovery Girl went off to assist the medical robots in stabilizing the youngest Todoroki.
Once Endeavor calmed down a bit, his wife, Rei, turned to Izuku with a stony look. "Why are you here?" She asked, her voiced laced with venom.
"I'm only here to help Recovery Girl heal him. After that, I'm gone," Izuku replied. As he turned away, he did not see the small looks of surprise flashing across the faces of Shoto's family.
When Izuku got to Shoto's bedside, Recovery Girl tried to force him away again, only for Izuku to look down with a hard look. She stiffened, before Izuku sighed. "Let me help," he began.
The old Heroine let out a huff as she moved a few steps away. Just as she did, Shoto started waking up.
"... Wh... Where am I?" asked Shoto weakly.
Izuku replied, "You're in the infirmary." His voice jolted Shoto fully awake. He winced from the pain, though he still fought through it.
The youngest Todoroki narrowed his eyes, as he watched Izuku plunge a small towel into a basin full of water.
Izuku then went back to Shoto's bedside. "Bite," He said, offering Shoto the wet towel. His narrowed expression didn't change even as he bit down on the towel.
"This will sting for a bit." said Izuku as he lit his right hand in flames, making Shoto widen his eyes.
Then, Izuku laid his enflamed hand on his chest.
"Shoto!" Endeavor's wife yelled as she and her family watched Shoto start writhing for a few moments before suddenly calming down, as evident by his eyes starting to close.
Moments later, Izuku retracted his hand from Shoto's chest, turning to Recovery Girl as he spoke. "There. I'm done. You can take over now." At that, he walked away, leaving the infirmary.
Though she was still shaken, Recover Girl quickly went to check Shoto's wellbeing. "... What?" She whispered.
"How is my son?" Endeavor asked the old Heroine. "He's... He's fine; Midoriya fully healed him," She replied, her voice low.
"What?" Endeavor's eldest son son, Natsuo, asked quietly.
"Midoriya fully healed him," Recover Girl repeated, her voice a little bit higher this time as she checked Shoto's vitals. "Your son only needs to rest now. You're free to stay and watch him if you want," she continued, before turning to walk back to her desk.
While the family sat by Shoto's bedside, Endeavor walked out to talk to Izuku. He did not see Rei staring at him woefully as the door closed.
===============================================================
"Midoriya." No sooner when Endeavor called his name did Izuku turn around, seeing the fiery Hero get closer.
As Endeavor stopped just a few paces away from the green-haired boy, he spoke. "I would like to apologize for ordering you to-"
"Don't," Izuku interrupted Endeavor, causing the man to raise his eyebrows. "I noticed Todoroki holding back even in the 1st Round, so I was already planning to try and make him use his Quirk's other half."
"... I see," Endeavor trailed off, unsure of how to proceed.
Then silence reigned the hallway they were in. Awkwardly.
Suddenly, Izuku spoke up. "What happened?"
Endeavor blinked. "What?" He asked.
Izuku sighed, clarifying his question. "There's no reason your son would be so stubborn in holding himself back even when he's about to be beaten. What happened?"
Endeavor went quiet, before he let out a sigh. "It's not up to me to say. Let's just say it... involved someone he loved, and leave it at that." Izuku was silent, processing Endeavor's words.
"... Okay," said Izuku. "I'll leave your family to it, then," he continued before walking away, leaving Endeavor to think back to the time he failed to save the person Shoto loved back then.
As Izuku walked down the halls aimlessly, he was suddenly tackled in a hug by a human-shaped blur. She suddenly kissed him on the lips, making him chuckle in the kiss as he saw other girls coming down the hall to meet him.
"What did I say about trying to tackle me, Stella?" He asked the girl, Stella Vermillion, who now placed her cheek to his chest as she answered, "Not to do it..."
"So why'd you still do it?" He asked her. "... 'Cause I wanted to?" Stella replied. Before Izuku to continue the conversation, his attention was taken by the other girls.
"Zuzu..." Camie Utsushimi came up to wrap her arms around his right arm, closing her eyes and puckering her lips for him to immediately understand what she wants from him. Izuku brought her face close to kiss her lips in reply.
"Mmmmm..." Camie moaned into the kiss as it slowly turned sexual. Suddenly the other girl wrapped her arms around his left arm. "Izu-kun, give me a kiss too," whined Nejire Hadou , the only girl in the Big Three, as she pouted.
The green-haired boy chuckled, before obliging to her request. She let out small giggles as they kissed.
"Izuku! / Papa!" He perked up at the sudden interruption. He then let go of the three as he ran towards Rias, who was holding Eri.
"Rias! Eri! You're here; I thought you'd watch from home!" Exclaimed Izuku as he swept them up in a hug, making Eri squeal in joy. "You didn't honestly think we wouldn't come here for you, did you?" Rias asked him, which made him stop hugging them to raise a finger, before slowly bringing it back down.
"You know what? Never mind that. How'd you get in? Security doesn't let anyone in if they don't have tickets," Izuku squinted suspiciously at Rias, which made her and Eri giggle. Izuku suddenly had a deadpan expression as he asked, "You teleported here, didn't you?"
Rias laughed at the question before shaking her head. "Actually, we didn't. Principal Nezu let us in when he saw us getting out of a cab while he took a walk," she said.
"... The rat scares me," Izuku said blankly, making his wives and daughter laugh. "Never mind that. What do you say we go get some food, darlings?" He asked his wives, who eagerly nodded as they walked off to Lunch Rush's food court.
