[Vigilantes and Hero Names]

IzuMomo | OOC Izuku | Symbiote!OC/UA Student Camie (and possibly Midnight?) | maybe a crackfic | Mentioned Slidin' Go | Mentioned Peter Parker

At night, the city of Hosu is bustling. Large crowds of office people walking home from work and highschool students walking around opting to go to their favorite spots so that they hang out with their friends. Unknown to these people, a vigilante is perched on a high-rise apartment, covered in his Quirk once he put his daughter to sleep.

His Quirk already had the ability to conceal him in a crimson-red "suit" with currant-red patterns while out and about as a vigilante, but he still thought that it was a good idea to wear navy-blue camo pants and cobalt-blue stealth boots. And honestly? His fit kinda slaps, as the kids would say.

He's still unsure whether he should wear a cropped jacket or a waist-length capelet, though.

Threadshot stood on the edge, looking at the streets down below, seeing a Pro Hero standing above a villain she had just beaten. A few moments later, he heard a shrill scream, alerting him of an assault taking place not too far from where he is.

"How come there aren't more Underground Heroes? I mean, come on, they do their jobs better than all the regular ones you see everyday," he complains about the near-abysmal amount of Underground Heroes while he swings from building to building.

When he got to a building near the location he dropped down into the alleys, using the darkness to hide himself. 'Great, a classic mugging,' he thought, looking at the scene: a masked man trying to steal a woman's purse.

Threadshot dashed in, delivering a swift chop to the mugger's neck. The woman smiled as the vigilante handed her the bag.

But then she yelled.

"Threadshot is here!"

'Goddammit, Mercer. Seven months since you started being a vigilante, and you still fell for this shit?' Threadshot berated himself internally.

Instantly, his Quirk went haywire, and it told him to dodge. Threadshot performed a backflip, jumping high in the air to see a torrent of flames where he was.

'Number 2?' He thought, 'they brought him here for a vigilante?'

His Quirk warned him of another oncoming attack, and Threadshot spun his body to dodge a scarf and pulled out a modified gun, turning it into a short sword to cut down the others shooting towards him.

"Smart enough to make his own gear. As expected from Peter Parker Sr.'s apprentice." Eraserhead commented, eyeing the gun-sword hybrid in the vigilante's hand and the other gun holstered on his waist.

'Damn it. They know who I am.' Threadshot thought. 'I need to finish this, and fast!'

Just then, a wooden figure appeared in front of him, attempting to kick him. Threadshot countered it with a dodge to his right and a straight jab to Kamui Woods' face. The wooden Hero staggered back, trying to regain his bearings. Just before the vigilante could take advantage of the situation, he was hit by air.

Literally.

Threadshot was blown back, quickly righting himself with a tendril he shot to the ground. The top half of his "mask" was blown away, revealing the brown/orange hair and amber eyes underneath.

'No fucking way...' He thought. Standing in all his glory is the Number One Hero himself. His body took up most of the entrance to the alleyway that the vigilante found himself in. Kamui Woods, Eraserhead, Endeavor and All Might.

'Ah, I get it,' Threadshot thought derisively, 'Eraserhead was supposed to erase my Quirk, followed by Kamui Woods catching me off guard with his, and powerhouses like All Might and Endeavor finishing the job.'

As the vigilante let out a cold breath, Kamui Woods stepped forward. "Let's all take a moment and calm down. I'm sure you have an idea as to what we're here for, Threadshot. Trading blows with everyone here only delays the inevitable, so please... If you are who we think you are, make it easy for us all and stand down."

Threadshot didn't move; he just stood there staring them down defiantly.

Eraserhead sighed, he did NOT want to resort to this tactic, especially considering the stories he's heard about the vigilante and the gruesome scenes left in the wake of his raids on the Shie Hassaikai remnants. But...

"I suggest you come quietly. Your daughter's alone right now, after all."

Threadshot flinched, anger starting to flash in his eyes. He cracked his fingers and let out an aura of bloodlust, an emotion in his eyes that no one's ever seen before.

PURE, FURIOUS, UNBRIDLED RAGE.

Threadshot's "mask" shifted. Now it covered his head fully, as the eyes on the mask shifted and a snarling mouth appeared, making the Pro Heroes cautiously step back. His fingers turned razor-sharp, the small spider on his back shifting and getting larger as its legs bled onto the front of his "suit". One pair of its front legs went to his eyes, while the other two front legs covered the entirety of his arms. Its other legs went down to his sides.

He leaned forward, pulling out his other gun and turning it into a short sword. Suddenly he dashed forward, appearing in front of Eraserhead and slamming the hilt of his right-hand sword on his face. He dodged to the side as Endeavor let out a stream of fire, running on the wall and slashing along Endeavor's outstretched arm with his right-hand sword. Using the Flame Hero's head as a monkey bar, he swung himself with a kick aimed towards Kamui Woods, who shot a wooden tendril towards a nearby fire escape to dodge the vigilante's attack.

Threadshot sensed an incoming attack from All Might, and put his arms up in a double-armed block as he received a fierce punch that nearly sent him flying back. Dropping his arms, he dodged another one of All Might's attacks, letting it fly past his head before countering with a spinning back kick to his chest.

"A MAGNIFICENT ATTACK, YOUNG MERCER!" All Might complimented, as Endeavor flew in to attack. Threadshot ducked as the Flame Hero swung out an inflamed fist, retaliating by stabbing his left-hand sword through the Hero's stomach. Endeavor grunted harshly, pushing down the pain as he tried to swing his fist again. Threadshot dodged it, pushing himself off Endeavor with the sword in his hand. Spinning his body in the air he sent the Flame Hero flying back with a powerful heel kick to the face.

Threadshot was punched before he could recover, but he grabbed the fist and knocked Kamui Woods out with a devastating headbutt. 'He's pushing us back,' All Might thought, as Eraserhead prepared to attack. Granted he held himself back so much, but he was still impressed.

Threadshot jumped back, panting as he recovered. Before he could charge back in, however...

*CLAP CLAP CLAP*

He was stopped in his tracks by the sound of two hands clapping, as the Pro Heroes turned around to see Principal Nezu of Yuuei High followed by the R-18 Hero: Midnight.

'Principal Nezu and Midnight. Principal and teacher from UA.' Threadshot thought, wondering what they would want with a vigilante like himself.

The rodent principal strode torwards the vigilante. "What an amazing display of skill, Threadshot," The chimera principal of UA said. Though oddly cheerful, his words were filled with sincerity. "You have exceptional fighting skills and experience out in the field. I can tell you're also intelligent, which means you know your chances of escaping are almost slim to none. Brains and brawn rolled into one; unfortunately I think you wasted your skills on your vigilante escapades."

"Just get to the damn point, chimera," Threadshot snarled. Midnight decided to speak for Nezu. "Long story short, we want you to join the Hero Course. If you accept, all charges will be dropped, you and your daughter will be able to live in the dorms on campus for free, and you'll be able to become a PROPER hero."

Threadshot thought about it for a minute then spoke, "This ain't a deal; it's an ultimatum. Either I decline and go to prison, with the possibility of never seeing my family again; or I accept the deal and ensure my daughter's safety... Fine, I accept." Nezu grinned widely when Threadshot spoke again, "But if this turned out to be nothing but a setup, and my daughter is harmed in any way... I'll hunt every single one of you down, and I'll make your deaths look like mere accidents. Do you understand?" He affirmed coldly, his voice distorting halfway through the last two sentences.

Besides Nezu who was still grinning, everyone present felt a chill go down their spines, now fully understanding why Threadshot had such a reputation among heroes, vigilantes and villains alike.

(All Heroes present still remember the story of him interfering in Sir Nighteye's operation against the Shie Hassaikai and making a show out of traumatizing Overhaul in front of the Heroes and Yakuza before putting out of his misery.)

"I assure you, Mr. Mercer; I'm a chimera of my word." Nezu said, chuckling nervously before holding out a paw for the vigilante to shake.

When the vigilante shook the principal's hand, he strode off, his Quirk assimilating his weapons into itself. "Hold on, just where do you think you're going?" Midnight asked.

"Hosu General Hospital," Threadshot replied.

"... Isn't that where Ingenium's recovering?" Kamui Woods realized.

"Yep," Threadshot replied, popping the 'p' as he looked at the Heroes. "The doc in charge of him personally asked me to help him heal the poor bastard, and I just found out that I can heal people almost completely; might as well." The vigilante explained.

With that, he shot a thin tendril to a building and swung off.

Izuku Midoriya was on his regular morning train, fully rested and ready as he commuted to Yuuei. Well, he would've been, if he hadn't been up from 8:30 PM yesterday to 1:53 AM today talking with his girlfriend on the phone. He'd never been a phone addict, only using his phone for hero news, music and videos, and the occasional call to his mom or his mentor. Before U.A, he had never really had any friends to text.

Talking with her was always great. She often had a lot of topics, so continuing the conversation wasn't much of a burden. They had learned a decent chunk about each other ever since they started dating six months ago. The first time their Quirks manifested, their hobbies, their respective pet peeves, and much more.

Scrolling down on his phone, Izuku raised his eyebrows as he saw the news. News pertaining to Ingenium.

"Pro Hero: Ingenium has been already healed two days after being assaulted and maimed by the Hero Killer known as Stain. Stain's whereabouts are still unknown, and heroes have been dispatched to his last known location of Hosu City, which is the site of the attack. Soon, we will…"

Izuku stopped reading the news after that, smiling as he pocketed his phone. He already knows who healed Ingenium.

"Psst. Midoriya?" A man whispered.

Izuku looked up. "Huh?"

“Good job at the Sports Festival! You were amazing out there!” The man congratulated Izuku with a smile.

"Oh, thanks, I guess..." Izuku replied.

"Wait, Midoriya?" another bystander chimed in, overhearing the other man. Soon, others began to follow.

“You were first place in every round! It was awesome! The competition didn’t stand a chance!” A college student gave Izuku a thumbs up.

“I laughed at how easily you cleared the Obstacle Race!” A young woman next to another woman laughed lightly.

“Right? He didn’t even slow down the whole time!” A responding laugh came from her friend.

“I was totally on the edge of my seat when your team was being sieged in the Capture the Flag event!” A woman exclaimed with her hand over her heart.

Though Izuku expected this, he was still taken aback at how many people recognized him. Well, he already expected being recognized, but this? People thought he was cool? He would be ecstatic right now if it wasn't for his still-abysmal social skills making him essentially shut down from all this attention.

The crowd suddenly all gave a thumbs up and said, "Keep up the great work hero!"

"Uh, thanks..."

Hopefully, not all of his train rides would be like this.

Lucas and Eri Mercer stood at the gates of Yuuei High, the top Hero academy known for producing some of the strongest Heroes today, most notably the "Symbol of Peace" known as All Might.

"Ready for your first day here, Eri?" Lucas asked his adopted daughter.

"Yeah!" Eri cheered, her little fist raised in the air. "Now we get to see Uncle Icchan and Auntie Momo everyday!" She said, much to her adoptive dad's amusement.

As if on cue, a green-haired student walked up to them, nodding his head toward the vigilante-turned-student, who nodded his in return. Then he bent down to ruffle Eri's hair much to her amusement, before walking off to his classroom.

'Aw fuck, it's the loud bastard,' the vigilante thought, seeing the DJ Hero: Present Mic approach them. "YO! YOU THE NEW KIDS SHOUTA TALKED ABOUT?! I'LL BUZZ YOU RIGHT IN!" The Pro Hero greeted obnoxiously. Well, at least Lucas thought he was obnoxious. Eri just giggled cutely.

As Present Mic guided them, Lucas surveyed the place. Gates that almost reached Mt. Lady's knees, and a brick path that led to four connected glass buildings, almost looking like an 'H'.

Eventually, they arrived in front of Nezu's office, made evident by the sign on the door.

The Pro Hero knocked three times, before they heard a muffled "Come in!" from the principal.

They entered.

"Mr. Mercer, I'm glad to see that you made it." Nezu greeted as he drank his tea. Lucas merely grunted, quietly looking around.

The office was pretty basic. Tiled floors, two long blue couches parallel to each other with a coffee table in between, a file cabinet next to the window, and a single office desk with two chairs in front.

"Do not worry about where Eri goes while you attend classes. Your daughter will be part of a program that we restarted after 23 years; there she will be protected as she, along with other children, trains in her quirk usage early. Her day is just as long as yours, and she is allowed to have lunch with you." Nezu said.

Lucas looked towards his daughter, who nodded eagerly. "Alright, anything else I need to know?"

"Yes," Nezu replied. "Aizawa will test you, possibly tomorrow, so be prepared for it."

"Hn."

With that, Present Mic led them to their respective classrooms.

Izuku got to his class with Tenya Iida as they talked about Ingenium's surprisingly quick recovery (well, to Tenya, anyway). When they got to their classroom, the bespectacled boy immediately walked to his desk. Izuku entered the room after him, with Katsuki Bakugou pointedly ignoring the green-haired boy as he walked to his desk.

'Are you seriously still seething about the Sports Festival?' Izuku thought, shaking his head as he took off his bag. Whatever, anything's better than being yelled at by the blonde chimpanzee.'

After he put his bag on the side of his table, Izuku walked past Mineta's desk and saw Momo looking at him. "Good morning, Icchan. Sorry for keeping you awake last night."

"It's alright; I didn't notice the time too," Izuku replied. They stopped when the door opened, along with Aizawa's grumbles sounding from the hallway. Izuku shot back to his seat, throwing an apologetic smile at Momo as she giggled at her boyfriend's antics.

An interaction that wasn't missed by a diminutive grape-head.

"Morning," their perpetually-tired teacher said. He walked into the classroom, slouching and free of bandages.

"Ribbit. It's good to see you out of bandages, sir."

"Old coot was too excessive in her healing process. Anyway, I digress. Today we're doing a very special Hero Informatics class." Most of the class began to imagine what that could mean.

'Ah man, hero law and junk? I'm terrible at that,' Kirishima thought.

Kaminari was clenched in his seat, fingers crossed,  'Not a pop quiz, not a pop quiz, NOT A FUCKING POP QUIZ!!!'

Shouta continued, "Today, you'll be choosing your hero aliases."

"ALRIGHT!!!" The entire class erupted in glee, excited to be able to pick out their hero names. Aizawa's hair shot up, his eyes glowing red and his voice stern.

"Settle down. We still have to go over the scouting reports from the festival. These determine which pros believe you are capable of going out into the field. They see potential in you, and want to help you grow. But, I should remind you this interest they have in you can easily slip away. So…" He slowly turned to Mineta. "...Absolutely. No. Funny. Business."

Mineta slammed his hand onto his desk. "Stupid adults," he muttered to himself.

Suddenly his hands were cuffed together before being choked by Aizawa's capture scarf. Apparently the grapist wasn't as quiet as he thought he was. "You wanna say that again, kid?" He asked the grape-headed boy in a scary voice, almost snarling at the end of his question.

Aizawa received a scared sideways head-shake in response. Satisfied, he released Mineta. Oh, how he wished he could just expel the degenerate.

"Before we do all that however, I have an announcement to make," Aizawa said, making the class go quiet again.

"Starting today we’ll have a new student joining us, he has already begun studying what he missed in our old Hero Classes, partly thanks to some of you.” he then said, making Momo and Izuku develop a satisfied smile.

“I know I am asking a lot to you but please try to help him get on par...And PLEASE do not scare him away, it was a miracle we managed to talk that vigilante into coming here at all. Last thing we need is him turning into a Villain, or a corpse. I will have you all shoulder the full blame should that happen.” the teacher declared with his usual cold tone, and waiting for each student to nod in answer.

“Good. Get in, before they start making a mess again!” He then called-out to whoever was waiting outside.

The door opened but the class was confused; no one came in. They looked to Aizawa, who just looked up to the ceiling.

Imagine the class’ shock when the infamous Threadshot (that many online thought dead due to being stomped on by Mt. Lady 14 days ago) dropped down while still masking his face.

“Yo," the vigilante said, not even bothered by the intense stares he got from the class.

"I'm surprised the Support Course didn't kidnap you and try to steal your guns," Aizawa admitted, to the class' collective surprise.

"Yep. Tried to make me surrender my weapons right after I brought my daughter to the program," the vigilante admitted, "then Apex made himself known and, uh, politely asked them to fuck off."

He omitted the fact that Power Loader had to step in to keep him from letting Apex run wild and bite off their heads, especially the head of one handsy Mei Hatsume.

"Of course they did. Turn your Quirk off and introduce yourself," Aizawa instructed the new student.

He shrugged his shoulders. "A'ight. Mask."

A deep menacing voice replied, "Copy". Many of the students jumped at the voice.

Slowly, the "mask" on his face started to disappear, hiding under his uniform as the others had various degrees of shock at seeing who he really was under the mask. He had amber eyes and a scar running from his right cheek to the side of his neck. He had bi-colored hair; shoulder-length brown hair with orange bangs patterned like a star.

One of the girls had a dumbstruck expression as a small blush appeared on her face.

'So... the adopted son of one of the leading figures in the Support Gear industry. Somehow I'm still surprised even though I already know,' Aizawa thought.

"'Sup. Name's Lucas Mercer. Pleased to meet 'ya, I guess." The boy said, before walking to the only empty seat in the room.

"He's a cutie; I didn't know he was a cutie!" Lucas heard a whispered voice, presumably from the girl with pink skin.

"Ribbit. Calm the hormones down; let him get used to the class before trying to get in his pants." The pink girl received a whispered reply, certainly from the green-haired girl with frog-like features.

As Lucas sat down on his seat, Aizawa took the class' attention to the board which had a holographic screen. "Anyway, now that that's over with, here are the results of the reports. As you can see, a specific few captured the attention of most."

On the screen are a list of names.

Midoriya: 3,523

Todoroki: 2,958

Bakugou:2,245

Tokoyami: 420

Yaoyorozu: 369

Kaminari: 272

Iida: 143

Uraraka: 68

Kirishima: 34

Sero: 17

As a few began to complain that it wasn't fair that the top 3 were so powerful, Izuku's eyes were wide. 4,123 heroes were actually interested in him. They thought he had great potential, just like Mikumo-san did.

Izuku felt a tap on his shoulder, and turned to see Mineta jerk his thumb behind him. Izuku looked behind Mineta at Yaoyorozu. She was smiling at him, giving him a thumbs up. He smiled back, and pointed to her name on the screen. He then gave her a thumbs up as well. She blushed a little and gave an even brighter smile.

An interaction that made the diminutive grape-head between them even more jealous.

"Now, about your aliases. They are more important than you probably think. While they can change before you graduate, if you don't choose something appropriate-"

"Then you'll be put through hell!" Everyone turned to see the R-18 Heroine Midnight strut through the door. "The names that you pick today are what the entire world could call you for the rest of your life. It'd be best if it was something that suits you."

Lucas raised his hand. "Uh, is it alright if I pick a different name other than 'Threadshot'?"

Midnight brought a finger to her chin as she answered. "Well, 'Threadshot' is already a good name, but if you want to change it, then go ahead."

Aizawa shuffled to his corner, already halfway into his sleeping bag. "Midnight is going to handle this part of the class. Creativity isn't exactly my strong suit."

He zipped himself up and plopped down into the corner. Midnight officially took over. "Alright, everyone take a whiteboard and marker. You have 15 minutes."

At first, the names made everyone uneasy. The names seemed to be funny or just plain out there, like Ashido's Alien Queen and Aoyama's I Cannot Stop Twinkling. Aoyama's initial name was so goofy that Midnight erased it and changed it to "Knightshine", as a small nod to his Hero outfit and Quirk. Meanwhile, Ashido decided to just go with "Pinky".

It wasn't until Tsuyu stood at the front of the class and gave her name. "The Rainy Season Hero: Froppy!"

"So adorable and fun!" As Midnight gushed over Asui's name, everyone else was sighing in relief, thankful that the mood of this event was back to normal. Afterwards, more and more people began to go up and give their names. From Jirou's "Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack" to Bakugou's "Explosive Hero: Dynamight" to Camie's "Mystifying Hero: Missteriosa".

After Koda's turn to show his Hero name, "Petting Hero: Anima", Lucas walked to the podium, whiteboard in hand.

He then showed what was on it, "All-Rounder Hero: Apex". Midnight accepted it, as some students gave him a thumbs up.

Then came Momo's turn, "The Creation Hero: Creati! I hope I can do this name justice."

"Creative! What a wonderful name!"

Momo thanked Midnight and walked back to her desk. As she walked back to her desk Midoriya spoke to her. "That's a really cool name, Mo-chan."

The tall girl blushed. "Thank you, Icchan. Have you come up with anything?"

"Yeah, I did." He wrote something down quickly onto his board. Midoriya stood up and walked to the front of the class and placed down his whiteboard.

Yaoyorozu looked at it, eyes widening in surprise, as did everyone else. Kaminari spoke up first, "Uh, 'Reborn'?"

Izuku steeled himself and explained his decision. "Wanna know how my Quirk activated?" He asked them all, as they all perked up. Even Bakugou; as he wanted to find out how Izuku got his Quirk after 7 years.

"It's simple: I died." Izuku said with a straight face, shocking most of the class except Momo and Lucas to their core. "Yeah. Some run-of-the-mill Pro Hero with a sliding Quirk ran a piece rebar through my chest after dragging me into an alley. After my 'resurrection', I decided to reevaluate why I want to be a Hero, which is why I'm gonna call myself this."

On the small whiteboard were the words, "Reborn Hero: Revan".

The bell had rung, signaling the end of Hero Informatics.

As everyone discussed what agency they're going to, a bespectacled boy went over to the vigilante.

“Please forgive me if I am bothering you.” Tenya said as he came over to Lucas, catching the attention of Izuku, Momo and everyone else.

"Uh, yeah?" Lucas said, unsure of what Ingenium's brother wants.

"Yesterday, I went to the hospital where my brother is recuperating. When I got to the door to my brother's room, my mother told me that the doctor asked a vigilante to help heal him two days ago." Tenya said, pausing, as if considering what to say next.

"Was it you? Were you the one who healed Tensei?" Tenya asked, with a hopeful expression.

Lucas kept quiet, even as the class started talking about it.

"Wait, it was him? I thought it was Recovery Girl."

"Did you really forget that Recovery Girl's Healing quirk could also kill you if you don't have enough stamina?"

"Oh, right."

"... Damn. Is there anything he can't do?"

"Well, unlike you, I can shut the fuck up," Lucas said, turning to Denki with sharp eyes, who immediately raised his hands up.

"... Yeah. It was me," Lucas answered.

"I see," Tenya replied.

Then, to the vigilante's surprise, the bespectacled boy did a perfect 90° bow.

"THANK YOU FOR HEALING MY BROTHER!" Tenya declared, tears of joy leaking from his eyes. "THANKS TO YOU, MY BROTHER CAN KEEP BEING A HERO!!"

"Nah, don't thank me," Lucas said, making Tenya raise his head in confusion. Then, to the class' surprise, a red symbiotic head sprouted from Lucas' abdomen. "Thank him," Lucas said pointing to the head.

"My name is Apex. I'm his Quirk," Apex introduced himself.

"Oh, uh, then thank you, Apex." Tenya said, unsure of what to make of it.

"Yo!" Lucas' attention was taken by the girl who called out to him: a girl of average height with straight, fawn-colored hair that reaches just below her shoulders and large, dark brown eyes. She has noticeably full, plump, and glossy lips as well as a quite curvaceous figure.

"My name's Camie Utsushimi. You're, like, super hot! Can I got your number?"

Lucas stared. Hard. As if he was in a trance. "Uh, you alright, my guy?" Camie waved her hand in front of the dumbstruck vigilante's face. 'Why is he looking at me like that?' She thought, her heart starting to pound.

The other students started to giggling. Well, the girls did. A few of the boys were jealous, especially Bakugou who had a crush on her since their first day at UA. Tenya started reprimanding them.

"Someone's in love," Izuku said in a small singsong voice, making Momo giggle as she hooked her arm around his. At this Camie started blushing.

"Welp. Seeing how my host froze up, I might as well write it down on a piece of paper myself. Anybody got some?" Apex asked around, as Momo used her Quirk to make paper.

She walked over and handed it to the living Quirk. "Here you go, Apex."

"Thanks, Yaomomo," Apex thanked the girl, as he took a pen from his partner's bag and wrote down Lucas' number.

When he was done, he tucked the piece of paper into Lucas' free hand as he covered his host's arm before holding it out to Camie. "Here. You can call him in probably 3 hours; it takes a while for him to reboot when he's near a beauty like yourself."

Lucas blinked, as Camie slowly took the paper from the sentient Quirk, her fingers accidentally brushing against his. Both students were turning red as she did. "Uh, thanks. I-I'll call you later, 'kay?" She said, flashing a nervous grin toward the now blushing vigilante.

Only Mina and Toru noticed her face starting to turn redder as well when she walked out the door.

"Yo, Lucas, 'ya done daydreaming?" Apex asked smugly.

Izuku and Momo walked over to Lucas, grinning all the while.

"Come on, Rui, you need to get better with girls," Momo teased her friend, as Lucas tried to force down the blush on his face. "Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to get a Mama for Eri-chan."

"Shut up, Creati."

"Oh, calling my girlfriend by her Hero name now?"

"Heh. Someone's mad!"

"YOU'RE NOT HELPING, APEX!"

At that, the three friends walked out, going to fetch the vigilante-turned-student's unicorn child.

“So he aced the test, getting first position.” the super-smart mouseman muttered while looking at Aizawa’s results the day after Lucas' first day at Yuuei.

“His Quirk's an all-rounder: it makes him stronger than 1A's fastest student, and faster than the strongest. Paired with an analytical mind comparable to Midoriya and a near-instantaneous reaction time. If he's focused, he takes seconds to come-up with a strategy to cover for whatever he lacks to win a fight,” Aizawa answered.

“We also checked his scores and schoolwork in Shujin High and asked Nighteye and a couple guys with analysis Quirks for help coming up with more data from there and the videos posted on that forum people dedicated to him. Whoever taught him, they knew what they were doing, the kid seems already training to use his Quirk at its best.” Ms. Joke added.

“It almost confirms Gunhead's idea that the kid was born with a Quirk similar to somebody else that knows its limits of their kind of Quirks, tailoring the training regimen to Mercer-san’s specific case...But it is still unrefined.” Snipe also said, stating his opinion on the matter.

“So it’s not a Quirk he received?” Toshinori asked, his voice laced with a hint of dread.

“No, it's not. Why?” Nezu asked with narrowed eyes.

“Sorry...” the Hero muttered, looking elsewhere.

“Back to the matter at hand; all things considered, he is not too far behind in matter of school program. He has already a Hero Name. He doesn't need a Hero costume since his Quirk can technically pass as one and he also wore combat pants and military-grade boots, though he's thinking about adding either a reinforced cropped jacket or a waist-length capelet to it. And he already has some knowledge in Hero work thanks to Midoriya and Yaoyorozu.” Gunhead stated.

“A pity though that he won’t get many Internship offers, many Pro Heroes are still annoyed about him.” Midnight answered.

“Oh, great news! I hate competition.” Gunhead answered with a chuckle.

“..... Huh?”

“You heard me; I hereby propose myself for the vigilante's Internship. He's a diamond in the rough; the brains and the brawn all wrapped in a powerful Quirk and a somewhat humble attitude. I'll polish it and make it shine like a star!” Gunhead declared, standing up with a fist to his chest.

“Well then, that makes two of us,” Aizawa replied.

“Oh...” Gunhead moaned, sitting back down with a forlorn expression.

“Make it three!” Midnight announced, raising her hand jovially.

"Et tu, Kayama!?" Gunhead yelled dramatically, making his co-workers roll their eyes.

"Really?" Ms. Joke asked, intrigued.

"Why not? He's fun to be around when he isn't serious. Plus, I've noticed that he seems to break down for a second whenever a female villain he's fighting makes innuendos. I'd like to... rectify that," Midnight reasoned, licking her lips as she sensually crossed her arms under her assets.

'... I pray for your soul, Threadshot.' was the sole collective thought in everyone else's minds.

“His special moves are great when he's fighting more than one opponent, but his silent take-downs suck ass. Since he seems like a Hero centered on agility more than power, having him as an Intern looks like something worth the time to mold him into a stealthy Hero able to use strategy to fight a Villain, instead of being another run-of-the-mill Pro Hero just punching his problems away,” Eraserhead explained.

“... I feel attacked,” Toshinori muttered, with Gunhead huffing in agreement.

“Hey, all I can do with my Quirk is making people laugh! I HAVE to punch things!” Ms. Joke said with an exaggerated pout.

“The idea still stands.” Aizawa answered.

“Then Internship offers aren't a problem. What about--" Nezu was cut off by Cementoss entering the room.

"Principal Nezu?"

"Yes?"
