The Fool - 0
It was a nice spring day, and a man was opening up the shop for his customers. The sun was beaming through the glass windows and showing through the curtains and the soft muted peach color was now a more vibrant color of pink! The man seemed to love Asra's marron and purple and neon color palette, but he enjoys the muter colors because of the constant headaches he would get very often.
However, it seems that when he looks around to look for his master, Asra was not there. It was the new normal for him to do this alone on such nice days, but oh well. Asra leaving over and over again won't affect this man who has a heart of gold and a back of steel! Aislin was a strong man, even if he had signs of the plague coming and staying on his body. It showed history.
Aislin walked down to the lower floor, after getting everything that was upstairs clean up. The male seemed to be happy with himself as he walked into the light of the glorious sun.
Aislin is a male that reaches the height of 5 '7, and his build was of normal stature. The male had blonde straight hair, and his body had shown signs of the plague. Even if he doesn’t feel extremely affected, Aislin still feels the symptoms of the red plague. Aislin had mini hip dips to rest his waist chain. The small silver chain was thin and had small stars and little pearls, and the male’s scent of sandalwood and sage. His eyes were tinted with red; his irises were a soft pale blue, and his lashes were thick and full.
“Asra! Wait! You almost forgot your hat!” Aislin called out, as he saw the fluffy white male try to sneak out of the store, “and you forgot to pay rent!” Aislin’s voice rang out, and he looked hopeful that he would take a double take. Aislin’s face fell as Asra just continued out. Aislin sighs, “well, maybe he will come back.”
Faust pops out of the one tapestry and slithers around the pale man’s shoulders, causing Aislin to let out a soft chuckle, “Did he keep you here to watch me? Do you know if he is coming back?” He gives Faust scratches underneath her chin and tilts his head. He got out the secret stash of treats for the lavender corn snake that was labeled ‘Good Girl Stash’. The male laughed in a hush tone as Faust gobbles up the treat and flicks her tongue.
“Snack!” Faust just repeated for more, of course she wanted more. She made a slight hissing noise, and she bumps her head against the male’s chin.
“No more, I have to save them! We don’t want to run out, do we?” He gave a playful lecture to the snake, and raised a brow in interest for an answer, “then we won’t have any until I can get it restocked and extra for you.” Aislin boops her snoot, and she slithers to fix herself around his arm, and gives a small squeeze, “Squeeze!”
Aislin tilted his head and melted at how cute the snake was and caves into the cutie, “Alright, ONE more.” He grabs the bag that was held inside the vase and hands the good girl one more freeze-dried mouse. His eyes watch the snake with interest and gives her more head pats and even presses a small kiss on her forehead, “you are better company than him anyway, all he does is talk about nothing.”
"Friend?” Faust tilted her head slightly as she noms and the mouse digests into her stomach and she flicks her tongue out and slithers back around the apprentice’s shoulder. Aislin giggles, as the touch is ticklish.
He looks towards the closed door and the open window and gives a soft sigh. Wandering what he is going to do in the mild boredom case. He gives in and does the chores around the house, “Alright Faust, stay right here.”
She slithers to hang out on the glass with the showcasing of crystals and sage sticks are kept and she curled into a tilt ball pile. She watched as the blonde walked around with little trouble.
“You know Faust? It wouldn’t kill Asra to stay around for more than three days, it would make me feel closer to him. We could be something closer if he actually put in the time to stick around, or maybe take me with him?” Aislin complains to the poor snake, “Asra always uses the excuse that it is too far, and that the shop needed to stay open while he was gone. It is silly for him to say that I could go with him for a vacation!”
“Fuck!” Faust said, as if reading the male’s frustration.
“Yeah, that is right! Fuck!” Aislin shares her enthusiasm and sweeps the wooden floor and underneath the rugs. His head is more positive as he cleans up with a light heart manner now. He looks out the window as he sees a happy couple walk up to the door and goes to open up the door. Aislin laughs, and opens the door for them, and snaps away the broom to the place where it was in the corner. “Welcome, how may I accompany you?”
The couple was very surprised to see the male’s appearance, “my dear, do you...?” The lady in her husband’s arms said with a hushed tone. It was clear that they were asking about the plague symptoms, and he shook his head.
“I do not have the plague itself; it is just my body not getting rid of the damaged and irritated spots. I unfortunately suffered quite a bit ago,” Aislin pointed out to the couple to ease their worries. They seem to have relaxed a lot when Aislin had made it clear that they were not contagious with the plague.
"Thank goodness, but however, darling, I just came for a special crystal! I was hoping you have morganite?" The lady's smile seemed to be contagious, because Aislin returned it and nodded. He led them both to the glass casing. The casing had rows of crystals shining and glimmering in the candlelight from the chandelier that illuminated the room for them to see. The blonde man unlocks the case and takes a plate of tons of different types of morganite, "Depending on the size and type, we might have to pick out more than one!" She giggles, as she ran her own fingers over many of the types and sizes, she feels different energies and what not. She felt the smaller one with a heart shape and feels giddy. She was reading on how to tell which one was meant for you!
"Are you a magician as well, ma'am?" Aislin broke the silence, as he was curious. Usually, people pick out whatever one seems the prettiest without care in the world, but some also take the cheaper priced gemstone or crystal. "I am sorry for asking it out of the blue!" Aislin tried to hide the embarrassment for being way too nosey. He had a mild case of nosiness that would need to be worked out. The male was already impressed as he looks at the couple and then hands her the morganite she requested and using his own magic to grab a bag and grabs incense to burn and cleanse the rock as he would listen to the lady rant about how she just looked up in the library how to connect with your inner self. While it sounded silly with some of the ideas that she had read, he couldn't be far to judge. The male literally had a missing teacher who appeared once in a blue moon. He had to take his concentration away as he packages the stone in the little box he seals it, "23 gold coins, please."
"Here you go!" She said cheerfully, as her husband gives a tip of one silver coin to spare. He gives a slow nod as he walks out with his wife and laughs as she was so excited.
"Well, that was an interesting pair, what do you think, Faust?" She agreed with the blonde who waves them off and closes the door, "Asra missed them, he would have loved hearing their story..." Aislin made a small pout as he looks around the shop, it was a boring and slow day. He took a deep breath, as he coughs a little bit. He sat down to make him not topple over, his eyes flicker with worry as he looks at the snake who is curling up on his lap. He gives her soft pets, as he took a deep breath, "What if... I am slowly dying and then Asra has to stay home and watch the shop." He jokes and shakes his head as he leans in the chair. Soft tears welling up in his eyes, wishing he could recall memories past when he had the plague. Asra told him that he got the plague by overworking himself and hanging around Ilya all the time. He thought that was a funny story, but he wished he had a relationship with Asra. For right now, him running away was a normal occurrence and he would have to get used to it anyway. Asra couldn't be there every day to protect him, he shouldn't expect anything more.
Aislin mindlessly rubs his forehead as he sulks in his thoughts. He watched each person walk outside and see how happy they are. He goes outside every now and again when he can and when he can mask his symptoms fairly well. Today, was not that day, however, he was stuck inside with a sore throat and ever redder eyes from the irritation from the cough. She leans on his elbow as the shop was dead for the rest of the day and into the evening.
"Alright, how about we close for the night, hmm?" He gazed at Faust who gives a cute yawn and bobs her head in a nod to agree to the male's suggestion. Aislin gives her a little Boop as he did the closing chores and started the fire salamander and started to make some soup. "Chicken noodle soup for tonight...!" He said confidently and blows the shop's candles out and carries a candle stick out to their little shop room and sat down and relaxed into the soft couch he got. "Faust, did you want some chicken?"
"Chimken!" She repeated as she opened her mouth wide to nom the chicken.
"That's a good girl..." Aislin praised the snake and she eats the chicken with ease. Aislin prepared his dinner and the soup, as he relaxed and started to doze off from the coziness he was succumbing too. His eyes grow heavy as he lets his head drift off into a deep sleep.
As if on cue, Asra had popped in the shop but then gasps when everything was closed, he gives a small smile as he walks into the room that the fire salamander was still cooking the soup. Asra pets the salamander's head and puts the fire out, as he puts a covering over the soup cauldron, and walks over to the sleeping apprentice, "Oh, Aislin, how... can you be even more amazing than you already are... running the store while I run away, scared of what might happen if I stay for too long..." Asra whispers to the sleeping body, and huffs as Asra picks him up, and asked Faust to help with opening the door to the bedroom. Aislin was a heavy sleeper, so the movement had not even caused him to stir, as he looked peaceful in his sleep. Asra noticed how his irritation spots were a bit redder today. It made him overthink of how he didn't see the signs of it worsening. "I should have come back to check on you..." The coffee tan skin magician pouts.
Asra presses two soft fingers to your forehead, using his magic to cool you off a little bit. Hoping the redness in his skin would go down. It did, and as it did Asra starts to rub his cheek and presses a soft kiss on his forehead and gives it a soft nuzzle, "I miss you... sweet dreams. I am staying and cuddling with you tonight," Asra whispers as he lays him down on the soft king-sized bed. He usually keeps the heavy blankets off, and sheets on the bed. It was a muted color of pink, like the accents in his room were. To keep the poor man cool, he turns on a fan and crawls into the plush bed beside Aislin as he grunts softly, getting comfortable with him as well.
Asra gets comfortable in a spooning position and hums sweetly, "Goodnight, my sweet lotus," Asra whispered and rests his head in Aislin's crook of his neck and fell asleep with him in his own arms.
