Getting Ready

Noel woke up the next morning in his new dorm, surrounded by French movie posters and other themed decor of his. He lazily slides out of bed and walks out into the living room and kitchen of the dorm. He noticed Ricky was not in sight.

"I suppose he already left." Noel thought to himself. Noel sauntered to the kitchen to make himself some coffee, when he noticed there was already a lukewarm mug sitting under the machine waiting for him. He smiled to himself at this small gesture of kindness and grabbed the mug to heat it up in the microwave.

After waiting an unreasonably long 30 seconds for his drink to warm up, he grabbed the mug out of the microwave, almost burning his hand in the process. Noel hissed at the pain from the steaming mug, cursing under his breath. After pouring way too much creamer than one person would ever need into the drink, he grabbed himself a bagel he had put in the fridge the previous night, put both his drink and bagel on the counter, and waltzed into the bathroom to get himself ready.

Noel brushed out his hair in the mirror, making sure it looked perfect. He couldn't look like a hot mess on his first day at this place, even if no one would really notice him. At least, that's what he told himself. He also applied a teeny bit of makeup just for good measure. Noel went back into his room to grab some tighter-fitting clothing that he always tended to wear, which was sometimes to his own detriment. He immediately grabbed one of his favorite cardigans, one that was black with a rose on the front. Noel had crocheted it himself a year or two ago. It was still one of his favorite clothing items to this day.

Once Noel was dressed, he went back out into the kitchen, poured his espresso-which had cooled down significantly by then-into a travel coffee cup, grabbed his bagel and dorm key, and left his dorm to find his first class of the day.
