Summary
25 year old Evangeline Green has had her life turned upside down when she is asked to join the fight against Loki. In all the chaos, she manages to find a new family… and even a bit more.Basically Evie is a goddess who is extremely overpowered and goes into a relationship with Steve before later finding Bucky and getting into a relationship with both him and Steve. No one dies. Infinity stones don’t exist. I only own my original characters and plot lines. All others belong to Marvel.Does not follow movies/comics after the first Avengers movie at all. Seriously this is basically a whole new universe I created to heal my heart after Endgame.
Note
Hello! If you for some reason didn’t read the summary, I’m going to restate it here: After the first Avengers movie, it is MY OWN PLOT. It has touches of the other movies, but it’s definitely an AU. Anyway, thank you for reading! Also, I have a vague idea about where this is going, but no clue where it will actually end up. Hope you stay for the ride lol!

Steve

He saw her body start to fall to the side, and his legs seemed to move on their own. Steve barely registered the way his shield clattered on the ground; his only thought was that he had to get there before her head hit the ground and hurt her even worse. By some miracle, he managed.

“Evie! Wake up! What happened?!” He tugged off a grimy glove and gently tapped Evie’s cheek, but she wasn’t responding. “Evie, please…”

In the short time he had known her, Evie had been a ray of sunshine. She was such an easy person to be around. It was comforting. Without realizing it, he supposed he was already attached to her. He couldn’t lose her— not with everything he’d already lost.

“FRIDAY! Scan her!” Tony.

A pause. Then, “Miss Green seems to be doing fine, simply exhausted. I believe she overused her abilities, causing this fatigue.”

Steve heaved a sigh of relief, as his hand pushed back some hair that had fallen into her face. He was so focused on her, he hardly realized Loki moving to a sitting position with Thor’s help.

“Brother? Is it really you? Are you alright?” Asked Thor.

“I think so, this lady saved my life.” Loki gazed at Evie with a reverence in his voice.

Steve almost tried to remove Evie from his view, but thought better of it.
Was that… jealousy? He thought. No. Can’t be. Haven’t known her long enough.

“I am weak myself, but I can help her at least wake up.” Loki moved his hands to hover over Evie, and Steve’s grip on the unconscious
woman tightened— trying to get her out of his reach. He shouldn’t have worried though. Clint used his bow to smack away the god’s hands.

“Oh no! You aren’t doing any of your magic near her!” Clint.

“Please, believe me. I mean no harm to her. She just saved my life. I am no longer under the magic’s control. I recognize that you do not trust me; especially given all I have just done. But please, that was not me. I was merely a puppet.”

“He’s right,” Thor said. “His eyes were blue last I saw him, just like the Lady Evie said. Now, they are his traditional green. He is no longer under a spell.”

Tony heaved a sigh. “If this is our only chance at waking her up anytime soon, let’s do it. But just remember, Reindeer Games, if you hurt her, I will personally rip your head off.”

He will have to get in line. Steve mentally sneered.

Loki moved to reposition his hands over her again when Thor spoke up. “Would you like to use some of my energy to help her, brother?”

“It will certainly help.”

“You mean, you can use some of our energy to heal her faster?” Steve inquired.

“Yes, I don’t have much of my own at the moment, so with the help of others, she will be in a much better place.” Loki explained.

“I’ll help too,” he said, determined. His thoughts recalled the way Evie had spoken with such conviction for the team back on the Helicarrier.
“I was enhanced. I have energy I can spare.”

“Okay. Grasp arms over her.”

He gently laid Evie’s body on the ground and grabbed Thor’s arms above her. Steve hoped against hope that this would work.
