Project New Dawn

As the pillar rises, Izuku hears the sound of Overhaul's quirk activating once again followed by a loud shriek. Quickly putting his gun on his back, Izuku looks around for footholds he could use to climb up the pillar.

Up on top of the pillar, red mist surrounded Overhaul for a fraction of a second as he dismantled the dead body of Chrono, reassembling and combining the dead man with himself to create a larger body for himself. Just as he goes to reassemble the little girl he was carrying, a bullet shoots his hand clean off, causing him to yell in pain.

Overhaul tries to look around for the culprit only to find a yellow haired kid standing at the entrance with a gun trained to his head.

"YOU BASTARDSS!" Overhaul exclaims as he reforms his hand using his quirk.

"Nice shot Turtle." Izuku tells Kaminari over the comms. "Where are Tiger, Phoenix and the rest?"

"Tiger and Phoenix decided to take down the rest of the Precepts. They'll be here shortly. So, what's our plan till then?" Denki asks him.

"I distract Overhaul, you get the girl away from here. Do not use your powers around her. We can't risk accidental activation of her quirk when we don't know what her quirk can do." Izuku tells him. "Proceed with utmost precaution."

"Got it. We rush in on three?" Denki says as he compresses his sniper for easier storage.

"Yep." Izuku says as the two boys immediately dash towards Overhaul.

"There never is a countdown, is there?" Denki jokingly asks Izuku as he thunders ahead to the base of the pillar that Overhaul was on and readies himself to throw Izuku into the air.

Izuku runs towards the boy and leaps at him, placing his right leg on the small platform Denki had created with his hands and with some help from the boy, leaps into the air.

Denki follows suit as he jumps up and thunders up to match Izuku's speed as he wall-jumps towards the top.

"Overhaul, this is your last warning, stand down and surrender. Do not force our hand into doing something worse." Izuku warns the Yakuza leader as they land on the platform.

"You're dead meat soldier!" Overhaul yells as he reaches out for Eri. Just as he was about to touch Eri, he is hit with lightning.

"Mistake number two. Going after the girl we're here to save." Denki says as he appears behind Eri with a flash of yellow, his eyes glowing with electricity crackling around him. "Dragon, he's all yours." Denki tells Izuku as he grabs Eri and jumps off the platform.

"Everything's going to be alright kiddo. My friend's got everything handled." Denki tells Eri as they land on the ground. "Are you okay?"

The girl nods as she looks up to see Izuku still fighting with Overhaul. "W-will he be o-okay?" She asks him.

"He's the strongest person I know. He'll be just fine." Denki reassures her as he dashes away to the escape point.

Back with Izuku, he dodged a lunge from Overhaul and kicked him in his head, knocking him to the floor.

"You're outmatched Overhaul! Give up!" Izuku tells him as Overhaul creates spikes from the ground and attacks Izuku. "Why do they never listen?" Izuku sighs as he activates Ashura and disappears from Overhaul's view.

Izuku appears behind the villain and tries to knock him out by hitting his pressure point but Overhaul creates armour out of the ground to protect him.

"What the fuck!" Izuku exclaims as his punch does nothing against the armour.

"You will die today you damn infected vermin!!" Overhaul yells as he tries to grab Izuku, catching Izuku's metal arm.

"Fuck!!! Disconnect!" Izuku yells as the arm is disconnected from its port on Izuku's shoulder, allowing Izuku to escape while his arm is disassembled and reformed into arm guard by Overhaul.

"I like this metal. What is it? It doesn't feel like something I've used before." He says as he looks at his new arm guard.

Izuku lands a few meters away from Overhaul, skidding to a stop. "That was a new arm dammit!" Izuku exclaims as he grabs a pistol from its holster and tries to shoot Overhaul.

"You really think bullets will work on me?" Overhaul yells at Izuku as he uses the arm guards to deflect the bullets.

"It'll be difficult to beat him with one arm..." Izuku thinks to himself. "Looks like we have no choice then." Izuku sighs as he activates his comm link. "Halo Delta FTW. This is Major Izuku. Come in. Over."

"Halo Delta FTW. We read you sir. Over."

"Send in the Angels. I repeat. Send in the Angels." Izuku yells as he dodges another attack. 

Flashback.

SWORD Armoury. A few hours ago.

Izuku and his team were preparing for the mission, gathering all the needed ammunition while one of the trainees read them their plan when the doors to the armoury open.

"So, I hear that the illustrious Omega Squadron is leaving for another mission?" A woman asks them.

"Hey babe!" Denki exclaims as he goes to greet the woman.

"Don't hey babe me Denki. You haven't even come to say hi!" The woman yells at him. "Am I just supposed to know from the other recruits that... that bastard Tenko showed up at UA and asked you guys to join him for that godforsaken tournament?" 

"How do you know about that? Abigail hasn't revealed the information to the public just yet." Izuku asks the girl.

"I have my ways. But don't worry, I won't reveal it to anyone. Agent's Honour." Sabina responds. "I'm still waiting for a response Denki!" 

"Look, Sabina, I'm sorry. I planned on coming but things came up. You know how things are here." Denki apologises. "And I did come to meet you. Right after my meeting with Big A, but you were asleep. Also hello Rachel."

"Yeah... Stacy told me about it." Sabina sighs. 

"Hey Denki." A girl with dark hair greets him. 

"So, where's this mission to?" Sabina asks the group, plucking out the mission plans from the trainee's hands. "Oh, so we're taking on the Yakuza. And there's an extraction."

"Sabina! Rachel! Just the people I was looking for." The group hears Panda's voice.

"Panda? Why are you here?" Ochako asks her former trainer.

"Abigail and Fox had a small change of plan for your mission. She wants the Angels on it too." Panda answers.

"Oh cool!! Hear that Denki! We're on the same mission." Sabina cheers.

"I'm not taking anyone other than my team and a few soldiers. That's not how my squadron works Panda. Abigail and Fox both know this." Izuku tells Panda.

"Orders are orders Dragon. Besides, Abigail's given them the role of back-up. Your squadron is still the one that takes care of it." Panda explains.

Izuku sighs. "Alright. Sabina, you and your angels have 5 minutes. Suit up and meet us at the hanger. Our flight is Halo Delta FTW." Izuku tells the woman.

"Got it." Sabina answers as Rachel and Sabina rush to towards their section of the armoury to get ready.

"Why can't the Angel's armour be near ours?" Denki mutters.

"Denki, I suggest you keep your hormones in check. We have a mission to take care of." Izuku scolds Denki.

"I know. But it'd just be nice to see her a bit closer you know." Denki sighs as he attaches a few extra magazines to his belt.

"Let him be Izuku. He hasn't had time to blow off steam." Ochako tells Izuku. "Not everyone can be heartless like you all the time."

"Ochako, we've been over this. And I'm not heartless, I'm just mission oriented. There is a difference." Izuku tells her.

"Oh sure." Ochako mutters.

"Uhh... did something happen between the two of you?" Fumi asks them.

"Nothing happened Fumi. Izuku just needs to learn to let people in sometimes. If he learns that, it will solve most of our problems." Ochako says, glaring at Izuku. She turns away, tending to her pistol. Izuku keeps his gun aside and walks towards Ochako and pulls her by her arm so she is forced to look at him.

"You want to talk, let's do it after the mission. How does that sound? You, me and my so-called problems. We can all have a nice chat inside my room." Izuku tells her, slight anger on his face. "You and me. How does that sound?" 

"Fine. I'll put this aside for now then." Ochako says, rolling her eyes. "You can't talk in the now anyways."

Izuku sighs as he lets her go and returns to his station. "Just because I don't like talking about something doesn't mean that I can't Ochako." Izuku retorts.

"We're going to the hanger and waiting for you two." Fumi tells them. "And please, whatever it is that is bothering the two of you, keep it aside or discuss this and get it out of way."

"After." Ochako and Izuku answer together.

Back in the present

"Copy that Major Izuku. The Angels are on their way. T minus 2 minutes till they arrive. I repeat. T minus 2 minutes." The pilot answers.

"Two minutes huh..." Izuku mutters as he dodges an attack from Overhaul.

"You don't understand what you've done! That child is a curse on this world. Just like quirks! Just like you all! I'm trying to cure the world!!" He yells at Izuku as he breaks off some of the spikes and throws them at Izuku. Izuku easily dodges the spikes, getting out of their way using Ashura's enhanced speed.

"Alright. That does it. We were supposed to bring you alive. But I guess, being dead won't make much of a difference to the heroes. You won't speak much anyway in captivity." Izuku tells him as he activates the comms once again. "Phoenix! Tiger! We need to make a way for the Angels. Think you can manage that?" Izuku asks them.

"Yep!" Izuku hears Fumi's voice followed by Ochako's.

A loud crackle is heard followed by the sound of an explosion causing the roof above Izuku and Overhaul to cave in.

"What did you do?" Overhaul yells as he creates a cement shield to protect himself from the falling rubble.

"Call in the infantry." Izuku answers as he leaps from rock to rock, going higher till the last piece of rubble fell onto the floor.

"Why you!!!" Izuku hears Overhaul yell from under the rubble. Overhaul disassembles the rubble above him and uses it to create a stone body for himself.

"That's... that's interesting." Izuku comments as he lands on the ground, the Stone Body Overhaul towering over him. "Well, on the brighter side, at least I can see the sky when I eventually die." Izuku mutters as he hears the familiar sound of jet engines in the air. "Well, I'll give you one last warning. Surrender now or well, death from above."

"You really think you'll be able to kill me with some cheap planes?" Overhaul yells.

"Those planes are far from cheap!" A voice yells as two blue blurs shoot down from the jet, slamming into Overhaul, knocking him back and cracking his armour. "But they aren't the ones that you're supposed to be worried about."

"Yo!" One of the Angels greets Izuku. "Delta sends his regards." She tells him as she tosses him a metal arm.

"Thanks." Izuku answers as he reattaches his arm to the port.

"What's the plan Chief?" The second one asks Izuku.

"Sabina, you're going high. Rachel, middle track. Keep him distracted. The others should be here in a few minutes. I'll go for the legs. Let's do Fallen Empire." Izuku tells them.

"Got it." They answer as they take flight.

They charge at Overhaul with Sabina going for the head, using energy blades to cut at the cement and rock armour around him while Izuku and Rachel used Sabina's distraction to bind both of the rock armour's legs in a steel wire.

"Rachel on three!!" Izuku yells as both of them pull on the wire causing Overhaul to trip and fall. The weight of the massive armour causes it to collapse on itself.

"Be careful. Overhaul can disassemble stuff with a touch." Izuku warns the two angels.

"We'll handle this bastard. It's a touch activated quirk, right?" Sabina asks Izuku. "If that's the case then we've got just the thing." She exclaims as Overhaul pulls himself out of the rubble of what used to be his armour.

"We want him alive. Ideally. But it won't matter if he dies. The bastard won't speak anyway." Izuku tells them. "I'll let you two take point. Whatever you need, let me know."

"Got it. Just stay back and keep a bullet ready. You'll know when to shoot." Sabina tells Izuku as both the Angels take to air once again. 

"Got it." Izuku answers as he reloads his gun. 

The Angels swoop into action. Rachel dives towards Overhaul, rolling to the side, dodging multiple spikes and making her way towards Overhaul.

"You know, we were asked to bring you in dead or alive. Given your actions in the past, I'm not too keen on that alive part." Rachel tells Overhaul as she grabs him by his 'cement armour' and tosses him into the air.

Sabina grabs Overhaul from the air and flies him into the roof. As the villain fell to the ground, he managed to grab a piece of the ceiling and tossed it at Sabina causing the air-borne agent to lose control over the suit and crash into the wall.

"SABINA!" Izuku and Rachel yell at the same time.

"Dragon, on my count..." The two hear Sabina tell them over their comms. "Shoot him."

"SABINA NO! Don't use that!" Rachel yells at her team mate. "You know what happened to Raven when she used it."

"Sorry darlin', it's a job hazard. We knew what we signed up for when we became Angels." Sabina says as she regains control of her suit and dashes towards Overhaul. She grabs him by the shoulder, dislocating them as she flew into the air. "Angel 1, Limit release."

"Releasing the Limit." The suit's AI responds. The suit changes colour from blue to red. 

"DRAGON!!! TAKE THE SHOT!!" Sabina yells.

"No need to take the shot. Let me fry that asshole." Izuku hears Kaminari's voice yell at him. Izuku looks up to see Kaminari looking down at them from the hole they had created. "Living Lightening!" Kaminari yells as he disappears from view.

"You really thought you could go all self-sacrificial while I'm here? Sorry to disappoint babe, but you're not dying on my watch. Not unless it's from too much pleasure at my hands." Kaminari tells Sabina, a smirk on his face knowing that his girlfriend would be blushing under the red mask. "Angel 1, deactivate limit release. Code Alpha-Theta-Omega-One."

"Deactivating Limit Release." The suit responds as Kaminari grabs Overhaul, the man screaming in pain as electricity surges through him.

"It's low voltage. I won't fry him. Not just yet." Kaminari says, a grin appearing on his face. "So, you think you can experiment on humans... a child, one the less... and get away with it? You really are a bastard."

"L...Let... Let... go of me!" Overhaul yells at him as he gets shocked again.

"Oh... you want me to let go of you? Sure." Kaminari says as he lets Overhaul go after sending a small charge through him, causing his muscle to stiffen.

"Izuku.... Take the shot." Sabina says, hovering next to Kaminari.

"This is for that young girl." Izuku mutters as he aims his pistol at Overhaul and shoots. The bullet pierces right through Overhauls stomach. Overhaul falls to the ground, blood pooling around him.

"Turtle, where's the girl?" Izuku asks Kaminari.

"She's sleeping. I dropped her off with Halo." Denki answers.

"Good." Izuku sighs.

Soft laughing can be heard. Confused, Izuku turns to see Overhaul laughing, his eyes trained at Izuku.

"What are you laughing at you bastard?" Izuku asks him.

"You..." Overhaul mutters. Angered, Izuku walks up to Overhaul, grabs his hair and pulls him up so they could see eye to eye.

"I really don't want to kill you Kai... Don't make me kill you." Izuku tells Overhaul, staring at the man.

"You... you should have gone for the head." Overhaul mutters as he raises his hand to touch his wounds.

"Is that the problem?" Denki says as he shoots a small bolt of electricity at Overhauls head causing the man's body to fall limp.

"Did you kill him?" Rachel asks him.

"Nah. I've shocked his brain. Dude's going to be out for a few hours. Technically, though, he is brain dead. It's a technique I call Brain Shock." Denki answers.

"His arms are the biggest problem for us. I'm taking them out of the equation. If we need his quirk, the doctors on board can heal him." Izuku tells everyone as he pulls out his knife and carefully stabs Overhauls shoulders, just above the between the Scapula and the Clavicle, severing the villain's shoulder tendons. He repeats this exercise on the other shoulder before shifting to the elbow and wrist tendons.

"Alright. That's a wrap." Kaminari says as he deactivates his Ultimate and lands next to Izuku.

The angels land next to the duo a few minutes later with the rest of the squad. "Everyone's here Dragon. We have suffered no losses. The only major injury was... well you." Sabina informs them.

"And you. You're forgetting that you were hit in the head with a massive chunk of cement Sabs." Denki tells her. "And we are going to talk about that self-sacrificial bullshit you were about to pull once the Docs release you alright."

"You okay Dragon?" Ochako asks Izuku.

"I'll be okay. We need to clean up first." Izuku tells her. "Phoenix, call up base. Ask them for an escort to Tartarus for 9 villains and a few for the state prison for the rest of these idiots. Tell Abigail that we have both our objectives secured. Tiger, call up Fox. Give him a sit-rep. Turtle, call up UA, give them a sit-rep too." Izuku orders. "Angels, you'll be going with Halo back to base. That kid needs immediate medical attention. Give her a full assessment. The rest of you, take 5. Good work everyone."

"Yes sir." The group answers as they disperse to do their tasks.

An hour later, the Yakuza were on their way to the state prison where they would undergo trial for their crimes against the state while Mimic and the Precepts were transported to Tartarus. Overhaul was being taken to SWORD for interrogation and after that would be taken to Tartarus as well.

Eri was also brought to SWORD and given medical attention almost immediately. Squadron Omega and the Angels returned to base and after a long shower, stood in front of Abigail and Fox with UA on Holo-Call.

"So, what have you found?" Abigail asks the group.

"A few things." The Izuku was answered. "The first is that Overhaul, Chisaki Kai, the leader of the group, was performing human experiments. He was performing the experiments on a little girl, Eri, who was the daughter of a man that Kai called Boss. The man was the original leader of the Yakuza but Overhaul used his quirk on the man and made it so he was permanently in a coma."

"What was he using the girl for?" Nezu asks, from the Holo-Call.

"Creating some sort of Quirk Destroying Drugs." Izuku answers. "His funds, as we found out, were coming from someone called Dr. Tsubasa. We believe that this Dr. Tsubasa is related to Dr. Garaki and All For One somehow." 

"What?" Yagi exclaims, shocked at the revelation. "How?"

"It's a long explanation that involves her quirk." Izuku answers. "Overhaul was isolating some sort of proteins related to the girl's quirk from her blood. How he'd do it... I'm sending a file over; it's better you take a look at it yourself." Izuku explains as he opens a file on the Holo-Computer and sends it over to Nezu's PC while Abigail goes through the file.

"Holy shit!" Nezu says. "What is this?"

"We were just as shocked when we found out." Izuku answers. "The girl is currently resting at our facility but she will need a han... I mean a care-taker."

"Do you have someone in mind?" Abigail asks him.

"Eraserhead." Izuku answers.

"Why him?" Abigail asks the boy.

"I think you know why. The man has the perfect quirk to take care of the girl while she learns to control her quirk. With his help and a little guidance from Recovery Girl, that young girl will be able to return to a somewhat normal life." Izuku answers.

"Won't she be a target if she stays at UA?" Yagi asks them.

"Not really. The only other person that we know who knows about this is Tenko and considering he told us about this and guided us right to Overhaul with his little tip, he won't be going after the girl. Ironically enough, even someone as evil and twisted as All for One has a standard and a conscience when it comes to things like this." Izuku explains. "Besides, I don't think SWORD would be the right place for her. It would remind her too much of the labs at the Yakuza hideout."

"I'll make arrangements for this then. And talk to Aizawa." Nezu says. "What else did you find?"

"Nothing else that would need your attention." Izuku answers, sending a clear message to Nezu and Yagi.

"Alright. Thank you for letting us know about this." Nezu answers, cutting the call.

"So, what else?" Abigail asks them.

"Overhaul... eH probably has more information on him. He had these numbers written down in a book he kept in a locker inside his office." Izuku says, showing Abigail a picture of a diary with multiple numbers on it. "We ran the numbers through the database. Found the person they were registered to and the locations these numbers have been used at."

"I'm guessing these belong to members of the Kai-Oh groups?" Abigail asks him.

"Yeah. We're not sure who but these are numbers from the Vacuum fist, Fluid Body and Spider-Fu groups." Izuku answers.

"Keep them on tracking. We can't engage with the Kai-Ohs before the tournament. You know the rules." Abigail answers.

"Yeah." Izuku sighs. "But that's the end of the report."

"Alright. Go rest. And kids..." Abigail looks at them. "Take the rest of the day off. I'll tell everyone not to disturb you for the rest of the unless something above a Beta level threat comes up."

"Thank you." The group, minus Izuku, exclaim as they leave the room.

Once outside, the group disperses, with Denki being pulled away by Sabina, Fumi deciding to retire to his room and get some rest, Rachel went to the cafeteria for some food, leaving Izuku and Ochako to walk back alone.

"Let's meet in my room. 10 minutes." Izuku tells her. "That is unless you want to start right now."

"Your room. 10 minutes." Ochako answers, walking away from Izuku without sparing him a glance.

"I will never understand girls..." Izuku mutters to himself as he walks to his room to change into something more comfortable.
