"Nooooo!", you whined as you woke up to the uncomfortable feeling of wetness between your legs. Getting rid of the now blood-stained sheets, you made your way to the washroom. "Shit, gotta go to school too! I'll be late!"
After getting ready in a jiffy, on your way to the exit of the avengers tower, you were met with Natasha, who, upon giving you a questioning look on the way your face was contorted in pain, had given you a look filled with sympathy, knowing exactly how mother nature could be a bitch. You had smiled a smile which shouted 'Guess-I'll-Die' and had continued rushing outside after mumbling a grumpy 'Good morning and good bye.'
"Sheesh, someone woke up on the wrong side of bed today." Your adoptive father THE Anthony Edward Stark had said.
"Yeah, good day to you too, dad." You managed to get out instead of screaming in pain at the constant overwhelming feeling of being stabbed in the abdomen.
You took the route to Midtown High you always took, and upon reaching, tried to block the wolf whistles by some boys of the school. All it took was a death glare, and they'd shut the hell up, but all you really wanted to do right now was to shrivel up to the size of a peanut and die.
"Y/n Stark. You are late." The most strict teacher you had, Miss Umbridge said.
"I never said I wasn't" You mumbled under your breath as you took your designated seat beside your boyfriend Peter Parker.
"Wow. Snappy much, darling?"
"I guess you could say that. I have my mood swings, but right now I just wanna paint the walls in Umbridge's blood."
"She wasn't even that bitchy today."
"I wanna do it for no reason."
"Oh- You're on your period?" Understanding dawned on Peter's face.
"Well done, you just stated the obvious."
"I feel a storm brewing."
This line made you and Peter both burst out in giggles, Oh God how he could always cheer you up. Unfortunately this blissful young romance was unapproved by Miss Umbridge, so she had to ruin the moment and bark out loud,"Hem, hem, Miss Stark and Mr Parker. I see there's something funny about the way I teach. Care to share with the rest of the class?"
"Um.. No we don't." You confidently stated (The raging hormones in your body giving you bursts of confidence), to which her face, now contorted in fury, somehow became even more comical, causing you and Peter (And the rest of the class) to burst out in giggles once again. Well, what more would you expect? Daring, you? Hell yeah. Perks of being a Stark, you could almost get away with anything.
Almost.
"Detention after school for both Mr Parker and Miss Stark. So, as I was saying earlier before being so rudely interrupted..."
You didn't have favorites, but if you did make a list of favorite teachers, Miss Umbridge would certainly be nowhere near the top. Or the middle. She'd be at the rock bottom.
All the other teachers were tolerable, but not her.
Or maybe it was just because she was named Umbridge.
Yes, very sad, anyway...
You had zoned out immediately after hearing the word ''Detention''. Now, you could get your dad to bail you out of this, but he had done it so many times in the not-so-distant past that he refused to do it now.
He'll grow out of it, you knew, but you also knew that when dealing with dads, especially geniuses with high-functioning mental capabilities and equally high-functioning snark, you had to tread carefully. But Tony also knew that when you wanted something, you could be very convincing. Perks of having Loki and Nat as my trainers for espionage and the art of manipulation-
You looked up to those three; Tony Stank, The Rock of Ages and The Triple Impostor- A lot.
And then there was Peter, the cute nerd who used to visit the tower for his ''Stark Internship'', the one and only, friendly neighborhood spider man, the first guy you developed a crush on in a long while, and your boyfriend.
You liked him- No, you loved him.
Another wave of pain hit you full force, making you remember that mother nature was hell bent on destroying your day.
*Time skip brought to you by my laziness*
After surviving an hour in detention, you headed back to the tower. Peter had decided to accompany you, since you both also had to work on an assignment.
"So, Umbridge was being Umbridge again?" Loki smirked at you upon you both reached the lounge.
"Kinda, yeah, you could say that." You said at the same time as Peter when he said ,"Not as much as Y/n being Y/n".
"Hey, you're supposed to be my boyfriend, dude." You playfully shoved Peter.
"And you're supposed to be tolerable, dude" He playfully shoved you back.
"Right, you like each other, we get it. Cut it out kids." Tony commented from the lounge entrance.
"Yeah, yeah, OK. Let's go to my room Pete."
"Don't do anything suspicious. Anything."
"K, fine dad. Let us go now."
You burst into giggles until you felt the sensation of being stabbed again.
Peter noticed your discomfort and told you he'd be back in a bit. You shrugged and got into your room, got changed, made a pillow fort to snuggle into and put on a movie. Assignments could wait.
30 minutes later, Peter entered your room with his arms full of your favorite snacks and dark chocolates. And a hot water bottle.
"I- Pete, you didn't have to- thanks a lot, man. I swear, if I could move, I'd give you a kiss."
"You don't have to move." He muttered as he set everything up and gave you a peck on the lips. He sat down next to you and you snuggled closer to him. "Anything for you, babe."
"I just can't with how cute you can be, Pete..." You smiled.
It had been 8 months since you and Peter started dating. You wanted to say the three words, but you didn't know the right time.
But one thing was for sure. You were VERY happy.
Maybe this week could be way more tolerable with Peter by your side?
"God, do I love you..." You muttered. But due to Peter's heightened senses, he heard it, and he stiffened.
He did not see that coming.
He wanted to say that to you, but he had feared rejection, feared not being good enough. But you just said it. You said it to yourself, not him. But you did say it. And you meant it.
"I love you too." Peter said.
You, on the other hand had no idea he had heard you, so you gaped at him, to which he smirked and nonchalantly said "I mean, my spider senses helped me hear it."
"You mean your Peter Tingle?"
"No! Not again!"
"Well, Peter Tingle sounds cuter."
"Does not."
"Does too."
"Nope"
"Yep."
"Fine, can we just watch the movie now?" Peter tried to show you an annoyed expression but you knew he was hiding his smile.
"Ah well, OK, just cause I want to."
"Right."
"Jokes aside, you meant that?"
"Meant what?" Peter tried annoying you again.
"You don't remember, well, I guess I could always build a separate pillow fort-"
"No! I mean, ok, I remember it. And yes I meant it. Did you mean it?" Peter asked you.
"Of course I did! I was trying to find a moment to say them to you, but the correct moment never seemed to arrive and I was afraid I would mess up our relationship and I didn't wanna lose you cuz you're not like my exes, SHOOT! I'm such a bad girlfriend for even comparing you to them and-" Peter cut off your ramble by placing his lips on yours and you'd be lying if you said you didn't enjoy it.
"God, I should ramble more often." You said after the kiss. Peter just smiled at you and said "I really do love you."
"I really do love you too. As Morgan would place it, I love you 3000."
"Heheh. Let's watch the movie now, if that's okay by my favorite Stark?"
"Morgan would be extremely offended."
You both burst out in giggles again and..
"WHAT THE FU- ugh." You whisper shouted. You had forgotten how many times you had cursed mother nature today.
"Let me guess. Cramps?"
"No shit, Sherlock."
"I'm gonna be a good boyfriend and I'm gonna pretend you didn't say that."
"Sorry, mood swings get the best of me..."
"It's totally fine. C'mere" Peter pulled you closer (IF that was possible) and passed to you a bag of cheetos.
"I mean, cheetos have never tasted better, honestly."
The rest of the time was spent with Peter being a total goofball and a good boyfriend (At this rate he'd win the best boyfriend of the year award with no problem) and you constantly cursing mother nature.
But it was better than spending shark week alone.
