It hurts
“I want you to tell me the story of the first fracture” Ask May in the car on the drive home
“I fell, my arm was hurting me but my host family at the time did nothing and when I went back to St Agnes I was no longer in pain”
“A lot of family didn’t take care of you?”
“Most yes”
“What happened with your arm?” Coulson asked seeing Skye and May arrive.
“It’s nothing, just a broken bone.” Said Skye
“No, it’s not nothing, go see Jemma she will be happy to hear from you. I’ll explain to Coulson for your arm”
Later, Skye was starting to get bored, she couldn't do much and her computer was starting to be less interesting.
“Can someone suggest me some things to do?” she said as she entered in the living room.
“You can do the dishes” said Hunter
“No, she can’t put her arm in the water” said Bobbi cooking.
“I was joking.”
“You can watch TV and when I’m done you can taste the pancakes.”
“That’s a good idea” Skye replied throwing herself on the sofa.
The night was more complicated, her arm was hurting her terribly. But she didn’t mention it to Jemma. She stayed 3 nights without sleeping. May became concerned when she caught her repeatedly sleeping for short periods during the day.
“I’m worried about you, when’s the last time you sleep all night ?” May asked Skye when they were both in the living room.
“3 days ago” Answered Skye not proud of her.
“What is happening to you?”
“My arm hurts”
“Why don’t you go see Jemma?”
“I don't want to disturb her, she has a lot of work.”
“I don't think you'll bother her if you tell her about your pain. I can come with you, if you want.”
“okay, I go see Jemma” She said as she left the living room, hoping she could escape but May followed her.
“What brings you?” Jemma asked seeing them arrive.
“Skye's arm hurts and keeps her from sleeping.”
“You probably need painkillers.” Replied Jemma giving her a box of painkillers. “Don't hesitate to come see me if you need anything else”
“You see you don't bother her much.”
“Yes, you were right”
“You want a tea? Because I'm going to make one for me”
“Why not”
“Now I want you to tell me about your childhood.” Said May handing her a cup of tea.
“There is not much to tell. Other children have lived worse than me.”
“How many different foster families have you been in?”
“I stopped counting after 20. But now I have this family and it’s the best of all”
“I hope so”
