introduction round two (2)
It didn't take long to get to the break room, where the graduates are. You could hear them inside, but the noise quickly died down when Maverick walked into the room.
"Alright aviators you really to meet our allies for the mission." He then steps away from the doorway then continues.
"The avengers."
That did it, everyone in the room stood up straight and presentable (well as presentable as one can be when you are a Top Gun graduate and a student of Maverick). One by one each of the avengers walked into the room and introduced themselves.
“Ironman, AKA. Tony Stark, genius, billionaire”
“War Machine, AKA. Colonel James Rhodes, just call me Rhodey though”.
“Captain America, AKA. Colonel Steve Rogers, Steve is fine”
“Hawkeye, AKA. Agent Clint Barton. Clint is fine.”
“Black Widow, Natalia.”
With that out of the way it was the aviators turn for introductions.
“Bradley Bradshaw callsign Rooster”
“Jake Seresin callsign Hangman,”
“Natasha Trace callsign Phoenix”
“Robert Floyd callsign Bob,”
“Reuben Fitch callsign Payback,”
“Mickey Garcia callsign Fanboy,”
“Javy Machado callsign Coyote”
“Neil Vikander callsign Omaha,”
“Callie Bassett callsign Halo,”
“Billy Avalone callsign Fritz,”
“Brigham Lennox callsign Harvard,”
“Logan Lee callsign Yale,”
“…Right well now that introduction are done I’ll give everyone the full mission debrief-“ Maverick begins to say but was interrupted by Stark AGAIN.
“Why don’t we all go to the penthouse and talk about the mission there?”
Maverick froze for a second before looking to the graduates. They where clearly excited by the chance to be in a moti-million dollar penthouse and where trying to hide it, some better then others.
”…I’ll have to report and get promotion from Vice Admiral Cyclone before anything but I suppose I do not see any reason not to.” There where a couple of yes’ from behind. “I’ll leave and ask now.”

After Maverick left there was a stiff silence in the room. Maverick seemed like a decent person, I read his file along with the rest of the Top Gun student files. It was interesting to say the least. Sad what happened to that ‘Goose’ guy but accidents happened and a job like theirs is never without risk. Based on his achievements and skill he should be at least a two star admiral yet he is only a Captain. Not to mention he’s a Mitchell, at first the name rang a bell but under more research I found out why. It makes sense that he did the things he did, it was to prove to everyone that he was not like his father. I’ll never admit it but I can understand that.
Judging by the way he worded thing and the way he acted in the mission briefing I’m guessing that he nor the rest of his team know what it was about. Knowing Fury he just gave them a incredibly vague file with no content of what the mission is. Exactly with the way they reacted when we first arrived. It wouldn’t surprising. He likes to test new allies like that.
"So... what's it like in Top Gun?"
The question was obviously a way to fill the silence.
"Well Rhodey, it's Rhodey right? There are No exact words for Top Gun especially when they taught by Maverick. That being said the first word that comes to mind is exhilarating." Said one of the many tall boys, Hangman I believe his callsign was.
"Ha now isn't that an understatement."
Conservation went back and forth from talk of piloting to what it like to be an Avenger, is when on for about 15 minutes. Just before the graduates were about to tell us about Maverick's teaching the man himself walked in to the room.
"Vice Admiral Cyclone has agreed for us to go. We're going to Avenger's compound."
