Even when you're sick~
From the moment she woke up, Selen knew that her sickness had gotten worse. For one, her head was throbbing, and her throat felt as dry as a desert. It also didn’t help that her entire body was burning up, sweat dripping from her forehead. Looking beside her, she noticed that Rosemi had already gotten up. Reluctantly, she made her way downstairs to find her beautiful girlfriend Rosemi making tea for the both of them.
Selen walked over to her girlfriend and wrapped her arms around the other’s waist. Rosemi tensed up a little before relaxing and smiling warmly at the sudden touch.
“Good morning baby. I made you some tea. It’s on the counter beside your medicine.”
"Thanks babe." Selen says in a groggy voice, her throat still bothering her. Selen brought the tea to her room so she could set up for her stream. Although she wasn't feel her best, she would never want to disappoint her dragons, and last-minute cancelling wasn’t her thing.
Drinking the last of her tea, Selen turned on her screen and greeted her dragoons.
Selen tried to play it off, but her sickness was really getting bad. That same feeling from the morning was coming back. But she was already too deep.
About 40 minutes into the stream, Rosemi came into their shared room with some medicine and another cup of tea. Selen must have sensed her girlfriends worry because she told her viewers to hold on and muted her mic. She then turned her attention to Rosemi, who now had her arms crossed and a concerned expression on her face.
"Babe, you need to end your stream."
"Rosemi..."
"No Selen, you need to be resting so that you can get better." Rosemi said in a firmer tone.
As much as she wanted to refuse, Selen knew Rosemi was right. She couldn’t continue like this, and her sickness was only getting worse. Reluctantly, Selen returned to her stream and explained to the dragoons that she wasn’t feeling good and had to end the stream.
Of course, the Dragoons were all understanding, which made Selen happy to have such a great community. She again apologized for ending the stream early before switching to her ending screen. Quickly, she opened Twitter to write a simple ‘thank you’ before officially ending the stream.
”Lay down and relax while I make you some soup.” Rosemi said before hurrying down to the kitchen.
Without much else, Rosemi began to prepare the soup. She finished the soup fairly quickly. Returning to the sick dragon, Rosemi sat down and handed Selen the soup along with a spoon.
“I need you to stay in bed today. I’ll handle our panel with Obsydia.”
“Babe, it’s fine, I can do the panel.”
"Selen, please. I can handle it, and you need to get better." Rosemi ended with a slight tone of worry. Selen sat up, looking Rosemi in the eyes.
"Babe, please. I can-"
"Selen, just stay in bed today. for me?" Rosemi pleaded. Selen didn't want to argue with Rosemi, and as much as she was putting up a tough front, she felt like crap. So, letting out a quiet sigh, Selen gave in.

Rosemi got there a little earlier than expected. Things were still getting set up, and fans were only starting to come in. Rosemi continued to walk backstage until she saw a door with 'Obsydia' plastered on the front of it. Inside, Petra was already there getting her hair done while drinking an iced coffee.
"Hey Rosemi! You're finally here! Staff-san was asking me about whe-" Petra tilted her head as she tried to look behind Rosemi, looking for Selen.
"Wait-Where's Selen? Is she coming?" Petra asked in confusion about where her other genmate was.
"Unfortunately, she's still feeling sick, so she's not coming." Rosemi replied.
"Well, even if she isn't here, the show must go on." Petra said as she got up from the makeup chair she was sitting in and walked out of the room with Rosemi behind her.
While walking, Petra handed Rosemi a cup of iced coffee which she gladly accepted. Since they have done quite a few by now, Rosemi and Petra were accustomed to the times of when things were open, when their panel would begin, and when their panel would end. While waiting for their panel to start, Rosemi got a notification from Discord. She glanced over and caught Selen's name before the screen went dark. Unlocking her phone, Rosemi went to the message.
"Good luck with the panel babe! I promise to get lots of sleep and cuddle Ember without straining myself. I'll be watching the livestream! Love youuu~ Mwah! <3"
Rosemi let out a goofy smile before quickly replying to the sweet message.
"I wish you were here. Talk to you soon.

Rosemi couldn't afford to settle in and be all sappy. She has to get into the right headspace for the panel in half an hour. finishing her iced coffee, her and Petra decided to play games together as they waited for the panel to begin.

After the panel was finished and the room cleared out, Rosemi said bye to Petra, who was getting picked up by her wife, Reimu. Before she left, a security gaurd handed Rosemi a bag of merch filled with all of the things that fans left as gifts for her and Selen. Rosemi's heart swells at how kind their fans are, knowing that they didn't have to do that.
Not wanting to linger at the convention any longer, Rosemi had a security escort her back to her car. As she started the car, Rosemi tried to call Selen.

"Hey, this is Selen Tatsuki. Clearly, i'm not here right now. I'm probably sleeping. If you have something to say, leave a message after the beep!"
BEEP!
"Hey my love, it's me," Rosemi said a little more chipper than usual.
"It's been a long day, and I just wanted to see how you're doing. I know that it's late, and you're probably not awake, but I wanted to try, just in case. The fans really missed you, so did I...i'm on my way home right now. Please call me back if you hear this, Love you, bye."
Rosemi hung up as the night sky started to peak through. As she drove the car out of the parking lot, Rosemi looked up at the sky, its purple and blue hue reminded her of Selen.
"I'll be home soon..."
Rosemi said to herself as she drove far from the vicinity of the convention.

"Selen! I'm home!" Rosemi yelled through the house. After taking her shoes off, Rosemi walked up the stairs to find where her girlfriend was.
As Rosemi turned the light on in her room, she was met with the sight of Selen, asleep while cuddling with Ember, and the blanket kicked onto the ground. For the second time that day, Rosemi smiled like a goof. Quietly, Rosemi tapped Selen on the shoulder.
"Selen~ I'm home~" Selen groaned before adjusting her eyes to the sudden light in the room.
"*Yawn* Hi babe...I missed you...." Selen groggily said, still sleepy.
"Hi babe, I missed you too—Hey!" Rosemi was unexpectedly grabbed and put into the bed, before being cuddled by her girlfriend.
“Babe! I have to shower! Let me go!” Rosemi couldn’t stop laughing as she struggled to escape from Selen’s grasp.
“No! You’re gonna stay here with me and Ember.” Selen shot back as she tightened her grip.
“Fine you big baby.” Rosemi gave in as she cuddled close to Selen. The two of them quietly savoured the moment.
“I love you Rosemi.” Selen said before drifting off to sleep. Rosemi sighed.
”I love you too.” And for the first time today, Rosemi felt something else, at home.
