Season 1 Episode 15 - Recovery.
Two weeks later:
The team continued their search for the prophet.
Skye was able to walk without fear that one awkward move would result in death.
Sam and Dean drove out to the last location of the prophet's right hand.
Namely one of the bars in Chicago.
Talking to the bartender. Said Dean.
And what did you find out besides her phone number? Sam asked.
Boy. I'm a professional. How did you even think of... Okay. Said Dean pointing to the number.
Maybe you should start thinking with your overhead brain, Dean. Sam suggested.
There's nothing to figure out, our target was last seen here a week ago, it's a dead end. Said Dean.
Guess we'll have to dig deeper, then. Said Sam, staring off into the distance at the bar.
What?" Dean asked, at which point Sam got up from the table.
Sam? Dean called, and Sam saw an eerily familiar figure. It was Meg.
He walked over to her and touched her shoulder.
Meg. Said Sam.
Sam! It's you, oh my God said Meg, and then they hugged.
What are you doing here? Asked Meg.
I came to visit my friends. Sam answered.
Where are they? Meg asked.
They are somewhere else, and you Meg, I thought you were in California? Sam asked.
I went, I saw, I won, by the way I met Michael Murray in a bar there. Meg answered, at which point Dean started walking up to them.
Who? Sam asked.
It doesn't matter. Anyway, I got bored there. So now I'm here. Meg answered.
Are you from Chicago? Sam asked.
No, Massachusetts. Andover. Gosh Sam, who would have thought we'd see each other? Meg asked.
That's right, I thought we were broken up for good. Said Sam.
Well, I'm glad you were wrong. Said Meg, Dean started coughing.
Boy, cover your mouth. Said Meg.
That's... I'm sorry Meg, that's... My brother is Dean. Said Sam.
Is that Dean? Asked Meg.
Yeah. Sam answered.
Have you heard about me? Dean asked.
Oh yeah, I bet you have. You're the one who treats your brother like luggage. Meg answered.
I'm sorry? Asked Dean.
Why don't you let him have his own mind? Maybe you should stop dragging him everywhere with you. Meg answered.
Meg... Don't. Said Sam.
Yeah, it's embarrassing. I'm gonna get a drink. Said Dean, and then walked away.
Sam, I'm sorry. But you were the one who told me about him. I would have killed him a long time ago. Said Meg.
He means well. Said Sam.
Meanwhile at the base.
Barry, Skye, and Ward were practicing their speed and strength.
Not bad, but you both have problems, and both have different ones. Said Ward.
More specific? Barry asked.
Well, you're focusing on strength, not speed, and you're focusing on speed, not strength. Ward answered.
And how do we work with that? Skye asked.
Well, we'll work on it at the next training session. Ward answered and then left the gym.
So, how do you feel? Barry asked.
I'm fine, I still haven't said thank you. Skye answered.
First of all you don't have to thank me, and secondly I wasn't alone, if it wasn't for Sam and Dean I don't know what I would have done. Said Barry.
Okay, but still, I owe you one. Said Skye.
No. Said Barry.
Sam and Dean left the nightclub.
So, who was she? Dean asked.
I don't know, I only saw her once, and her being here... It's so weird. Sam answered.
What was she carrying there, that you were my luggage? Did you complain about me to some broad? Dean asked.
Sorry Dean, that was after our fight, at the bus station in Indiana. But that's not what this is about. Look... Sam started talking.
So it's true, and I'm holding you against your will, right Sam? Dean asked.
No, of course not. Listen to me. Sam answered.
What?! Asked Dean.
I think it's suspicious, Dean. Sam answered.
Of course she's not into me. Dean joked.
No, suspicious in a different way, in our way. Said Sam.
What do you mean? Dean asked.
Look, I met Meg, a month ago on the side of the road. And here she is again, in a random Chicago bar. That bar where the prophet's right hand was last seen. Sam answered. Don't you think that's weird? Asked Sam.
Coincidence, it happens. Dean answered.
It happens... But not with us... Maybe I'm wrong, but there's something about her I can't quite put my finger on. Said Sam.
You've got to let it go. Maybe it's something else, maybe you like her, maybe you just think too much with your uppermost brain? Asked Dean.
I'm asking you to find out if Meg Masters from Andover, Massachusetts exists. Asked Sam.
Where are you going? Dean asked.
To keep an eye on Meg. Sam answered.
I see. Dean said with a chuckle.
In a case like this, it's better to be safe than sorry. Said Sam.
Of course he's a pervert. Said Dean.
Dean. Said Sam.
All right, all right. Said Dean, then left.
Thirty minutes later, Dean got a call from Colson.
So, did you find anything? Colson asked.
Nothing on our target, but it looks like we got a job. Dean answered.
Anything to do with the Prophet or the demons? Colson asked.
We're checking it out. Dean answered.
All right, call me if you need anything. Said Colson.
Yeah, all right. Said Dean, then hung up, then dialed Sam, at which point Sam was watching Meg's apartment.
Yeah. Said Sam.
Let me guess, you were lurking outside the poor girl's house? Dean asked.
No... Yeah. Answered Sam.
That's an original way to woo. Dean joked.
Did you find out anything about her? Sam asked.
It's all clear. Meg Masters is in the Andover phone book. I even downloaded her high school photo. Man, go knock on her door... And invite her to poetry night at the movies. Dean replied.
That's it, I'm gonna keep watch for a while, and if nothing comes up, we're going back to base. Said Sam.
So bro, you want to go entertain your girlfriend? Dean asked.
You go. Sam answered.
You go to her, but don't get too carried away. Said Dean, at which point Sam hung up the phone.
At that moment Meg left her apartment, Sam began to follow her stealthily.
She reached some sort of abandonment, Sam followed her.
When she reached her destination, he saw her take a goblet of some kind, and cast a spell.
You shouldn't come. Said Meg into the goblet, Sam began to listen.
The shield is in town, I didn't know that... Yes sir. Yes I'll be... waiting for you. Said Meg, after which she put the goblet down and took off.
Sam began to examine the table beside where she was talking into the goblet; it was full of satanic crap.
What the hell was that? Sam asked.
Base 2 hours later:
Sam returned to the base where he met Dean.
You have no idea. They said at the same time.
Sam told the team everything he'd seen.
So, pretty Meg is summoning the Demon? Dean asked.
And she's controlling him with a black altar. Added Sam.
Sammy is having an affair with a bad girl. Dean joked.
What about the cup? May asked.
She was talking to it, like a witch with crystal balls, or the insides of animals. She was communicating with someone. Sam answered.
With a demon she's controlling? Skye asked.
No, as far as I know they're animals. No, it's something else. It's someone who's giving her orders. And he's going to show up at this warehouse. Sam answered.
Dean sat down and checked the flyer.
Oh, crap. Said Dean.
What? Sam asked.
I keep meaning to tell you what I heard from my... Emmy's friend from the local police. There were victims here, and I got a line on them, and I almost missed something. Dean answered.
What? Sam asked.
Well, the first man who was killed - he lived in Chicago his whole life... But look where he's from. Said Dean.
Lawrence, Kansas. Said Sam.
And the second victim, she was adopted, but where was she from? Dean asked.
Lawrence's birthplace. Said Barry.
Oh, crap. Said Sam.
Yeah. Said Dean.
That's where the demon killed Mom. That's where it all started and is Meg connected to this thing? Sam asked.
I think it's obvious. Said Fitz.
But I don't understand why Lawrence, and what does the demon have to do with it? Sam asked.
I don't know what the hell it has to do with Lawrence. Let's break down this altar, grab Meg, and have a friendly chat with her. Dean suggested.
No, we can't. We'll scare her off. Better we ambush her in the warehouse and see who... or what's coming to meet her. Said Sam.
Sounds like a plan. Said Ward.
Just let's not go in there alone. Dean suggested.
Who with? Simmons asked.
I'm calling my dad. Dean answered.
Do you think he'll answer? Ward asked.
I don't know, we'll have to try. Dean answered.
Three minutes later:
I think we got a lead on who killed Mom, so the address of the warehouse is 1435 West Erie. Dad, if you can hear me, hurry up and fly to Chicago. Said Dean and hung up.
Answering machine? Sam asked.
Yeah. Answered Dean, after which they both went to meet the team.
So, let's go ahead. Said Colson.
