They stood there for a moment as Wila asked," Should we continue even with this information?"
Wanda looked at her twin sister and frowned," Only you can decied that."
By the time they had gotten every member of the team onto the Quinjet Thor and Natasha had slowly come out of their visions. Tony looked at his team as Bucky asked," What happen?"
"They took a hit... if it wasn't for us being here Banner might have been hit worse than he was," Charles replied as Eric buckled down the wheelchair. Wanda hummed," Yes... that and some family matters have been settled."
Eric and Bucky looked at her as Bucky added," Until we can find Ultron it's the best we can do. Barton... you got a place?"
"A few hours from here. A safe house. Barns you good?" He asked this as the other burnet dry heaved again. Steve sat him down as he asked," Have you eaten yet?"
"Stevie... I am fine... really," Bucky replied but nonetheless mumbled on some saltine crackers. Nina chuckled as sat next to her big brother and whispered," Vozmozhno, vam skoro pridetsya rasskazat' im, Bol'shoy Brat
"Yeshche net," Bucky replied back to her in Russian. Natasha looked up at the two and frowned.
A few hours later the quinjet landed in the front yard of an old farmhouse. As they gathered numbers and walked up Thor asked," What is this place?"
Tony answered," A safe house?"
"Let's hope."
He opened the house with the same kind of skill and assurance that Charles and Eric did with the Mansion. Bucky looked at the archer as he called out," Honey, I'm home."
A heavily pregnant woman walked from around a corner and the kitchen and looked at the gathered Avengers and the Xavier-Lehnsherr Clan. Bucky nodded to the mother as Clint said," Hey, would've called ahead... Where's Barney?"
"Outback..."
The younger Barton nodded then said," Right... Ladies Gentlemen this my sister-in-law Laura."
The patter of feet sends to small children, one a young boy and the other a young girl in as the latter shouted," Uncle Clint!"
"Lila, Cooper. How are you two?" He paused then looked at Cooper's face and frowned," What happened?"
The stillness in the room stung Tony, Kyle and the Twins the most as Laura whispered," It was a mistake... honesty. He was drunk."
"Laura..." Clint said before he looked at Natasha and the others then said to Lila," Why don't you show Uncle Clint's friends the chicks from Francis's new clutch?"
Nina brightened up at this as she led most of the group out to the chicken hutch.
Thor watched this play out before he said," I am sorry, but I must get some answers. I fear I won't get them here."
"Selvig... he's in London," Charlies replied.
Bucky watched the thunder god go and he sighed before sitting down on the pouch Steve sat with him and frowned as he asked," To much work?"
"It's just... you ever think we'll get this? You know, no Avenging, no X-men missions. No nothing... you ever think this in the agenda? I mean the mansion was close... but," He shrugged not quite sure where he was going. Steve hummed," I did, once. You know, that night that we kissed for the first time. I thought then, ' this what I'm fighting for here. My bucky, my guy until the end of the line.' You know, Zolem, That was his first mistake. Blasting you out of the train. Not sure if I ever told you, but when we'ld gotten back to base I asked them to search for you. They found footprints ya know. Footprints and no body. I said you had to be alive somewhere but the only one who thought so was Peggy."
Bucky smiled at him and asked," When did they stop looking for me?"
"Must've been the same time I went under. I'll never forgive them for that, Buck. I know I should... but"
"Hey... now, none of that... I was found, maby not soon enough to keep you from being a git, but I was found, and by the looks of it, I was found just in time."
Seol, South Korea
As doctor, Helen Cho walked into the U-Gin Genetic Research Lab and into the cradle room to see Ultron. The robot looked at her and warned," Scream, and your entire staff dies."
She looked at him with unhid fear as he replied," I could've killed you, Helen, the night we met. I didn't."
"Do you expect a thank you note?" She sassed, glaring at her. If it was possible for metal to frown, he would have as he answered," I expect you to know why."
She stared between the robot and the cradle before frowning," The Cradle."
A recorded version of her voice stated," This is the next thing, Tony," before Ultron continued," This... is the next me."
Doctor Cho frowned," The Regeneration Cradle prints tissue, it can't build a living body. "
One of the legionaries hoisted the staff towards the woman's heart as Ultron stated," It can, you can. You just lack the materials. You're a brilliant woman, Helen. But we all have room to improve."
The Legionnaire pushed the sceptre's power into her and her eyes glowed blue.
2012: May 5th Asgard. (Original Timeline *Note that the author has finaly watched endgame. The Author was not happy with Steve.)
Loki stood chained and held by guards and frowned as was brought in front of Odin. He looked to Frigga and asked," Hello, Mother. "
"Please, don't make this worse..." She warned him. He looked at her and said," Mother..."
"Enough! I will speak to the prisoner alone."
"Prisoner, father? Is that all I am to you?" Loki asked as Frigga left. Thor looked to between his father and his brother and mumbled," Father, Some of thouse who helped me get Loki, they suguest that he may not have been entierly cont..."
"Enough, Thor. Leave, you have dutys to do yourself."
"Yes father."
Thor left his brother to fight off the wrath of their father on his own. Loki flinched again as Odin hissed," Do you think you could trick your brother into thinking you are incoent to this? Do you not truly feel the gravity of your crimes? Wherever you go there is war, ruin and death."
Loki said nothing, knowing that the elder would never think that he was not in control. Odin continued," We are not gods. We are born, we live, we die. Just as humans do."
Mumbling under his breath Loki said," Give or take 5000 years."
"All this bacause Loki desires a throne."
" If I am for the axe, then for mercy's sake, just swing it. It's not that I don't love our little talks, it's just ... I don't love them," Loki stated as he stood tall.
Odin glowered," Frigga is the only reason you are still alive and you will never see her again. You will spend the rest of your days in the dungeons."
Loki's thoughts turned to the man who offered him that drink. The Drink that he got, once his head was cleared. Eyes as brown as chocolate stared into his own. The only clear word he could fully remember of his time under was the man's name, Stark. He said nothing as he was led down.
He was alone until the death of his own mother. Then it was when Thor called for help.
"Thor, Did she suffer?" Loki asked pleading with him to tell him. Thor looked at his brother," I do not know, however I did not come here to share our grief. Instead I offer you the chance of a far richer sacrament."
"Go on?"
"I know you seek vengeance as much as I do. You help me escape Asgard and I will grant it to you, vengeance. And afterward, a chance to prove the mind control theory," Thor stated. Loki looked at him. Then frowned," You must be truly desperate to come to me for help. What makes you think you can trust me?"
"Mother did. You should know that when we fought each other in the past, I did so with a glimmer of hope that my brother was still in there somewhere. I belive that hope has strangthen over the years, however You betray me and I will kill you, with some hestienens."
"Of course, when do we start."
Then after that( and various threats to his livelihood) and a daring escape brought him to that decision that pained him as they talked," She's holding up alright, for a mortal."
"She's strong in ways nither of us will ever know."
"You will have to say goodbye to her, someday," Loki warned thinking of his own cursed love. Thor nodded," Someday, but not this day."
"This day, the next, a hundred years, it's nothing. It's a heart beat. You'll never be ready. The only one whose love you've prized will be snatched from you," Loki told him, perhaps no longer talking about Jane Froster.
"And will it satisfy you?" Thor asked his brother. Loki looked at him from the steering of the vehicle they had perceived and stated," Satisfaction is not in my nature."
"Nor is Surrender in mine," Thor told him. Loki nodded before asking," Do you belive me?"
"Your eyes... they where blue, not green."
Loki made his discussion there about what to do next. The play he put on for Maekith gave him enough time to waive an illusion over both the dark elves and his brother. Once done he found his way back to Asgard and to his cell where he grabbed his books and smirked before disappearing. There was one way to prove his honesty in what had been done.
Present time: Earth, London.
Loki had chosen this city for the only reason that it was close to where he knew his brother may search for answers. He knew this because that doctor Selvic was here. He actually watched the man as he taught at the university. He sighed as a clap of thunder and a stroke of lightning shot across the sky into the garden next to the university. Loki watched from his illusioned state. Selvig looked at his brother and sighed," I like the look. If you going for inconspicuous, though, near miss."
Thor shrugged as he stated," I need your help."
"It's nice to be needed."
"It's dangerous..." Thor warned. Selvig laughed and stated," I'd be disappointed if it wasn't."
Loki sighed as he walked up to the two," Dr Selvig... I was hoping to catch you before you left today."
"Mr. Gabrelson, I wasn't expecting you in today. Did you find the item you were looking for?" Selvig asked. Loki nodded," I did," then he turned to Thor and smiled softly," And you must be Thor Odinson... Dr. Selvig has told me a great many stories about you. Isica Gabrelson..."
Loki rose his hand up to greet the Asgardian and Thor nodded," It is an honor to meet you Mr. Gabrelson."
"I couldn't help but overhear... are you looking for something specific?"
"The water of sight."
Loki looked at his brother before stating," You may not need that," then he pulled out the green moon-like stone and said," Dr Selvic and I have been surching on a theory about the atack on New York, your brother and a few other things. This is something called a Fenity stone, their a sub-catagoriy of the elemental Infinity stones. You have came across three of them in the past years."
"The tesseract, Loki's septer, and the Ather," Thor added picking up on what Loki was saying. The other nodded before saying," This one is called the shadow stone. One of it's ablitys is to let a person or being see a shadow of a dream."
"Have you tested this?"
"Only once... It only confirmed what we had thought about the attack on the new york."
Barton's farm: At the same time
Laura walked up to the two heroes and sighed as she asked," I'm sorry to interupt, Mr Stark, Clint and Barney said that you wouldn't mind, our tractor it doesn't seem to start at all. I thought maby you might..."
"Yeah, I'll give it a kick," Tony stated then turned to Steve and Bucky," You two going be alright?"
"We will... the question is will you?" Bucky asked him. Tony smiled sadly as he walked over to the barn. He sighed as he walked around the john deere tractor and asked it," Tell me, what ails you?"
Just then Nick Fury walked out of the shadows of the barn and said," Do me a favor, try not to bring it to life."
"Maria called you right?" Tony asked him before sighing," Was she ever not working for you?"
Ignoring that comment Fury asked," Artificial intelligence... you never even hestated."
"My mind had been played with... do you think I could've hesitated?" Tony hissed at him. Fury looked at him as Tony sighed," Anyway it's been a long ass day. Like Eugene O'Neil long. So how's about we skip to the part where you're useful?"
"Tell me you going to shut him down..." Fury asked. Tony sighed," I'm going try. Even if it ends up killing everyone."
"What do you mean Stark?" Fury asked him. Tony sighed," I saw it. I didn't tell the team... how could I? I saw them all dead. Bucky, Bruce, Thor, Steve, Nat, Clint, Charles, and Eric... Nick, it was more than that, I felt it. The whole world too, and it was because of me. I wasn't ready, we weren't ready... because I didn't do all I could."
Tony sighed," I know it was that witch girl... I do... but it felt like I was shown the end of the path that I started us on."
"You've come up with some pretty impressive inventions, Tony. War isn't one of them."
"I watched my friends and my family die. You'd think that would be as bad as it gets right? Nope... wasn't the worst part."
"The worst part is that you didn't."
The two of them walked over to the farmhouse followed by Bucky and the others. Once they were all inside Fury said," Ultron tried to take you folks out of play to buy himself time. My contacts all say he's building something. The amount of Vibranium he made off with, I don't think it's just one thing."
"Neither do I," Eric stated as he looked to his daughters and son, who nodded to him as Wanda said," I think he's trying to build two bodies and something bigger. From what we had found out, both are to hold something powerfull, I believe he has one the other is in safe hands."
"What do you mean?" Steve asked. Bucky sighed," The stones..."
Steve frowned and then asked Fury," What off Ultron himself?"
"Ah... he's easy to track, he's everywhere. Guy's multiplying faster than a catholic rabbit. Still doesn't help us get an angle on any of his plans though."
Charles looked at him and asked," Is he still after the launch codes?"
"Yes, but he's not making any headway," Fury replied. Kyle frowned as he said," That doesn't make sense... he was built by two of the most powerfull minds alive, he's literally living internet... Tony here craked the pentagon's firewall in high school..."
"On a dare might I add," Tony added, halfway proud of that fact. Fury nodded," Yeah, well, I contacted our friends at the NEXUS about that..."
"NEXUS?" Steve asked. Bruce nodded," It's the world internet hub in Oslo, ever byte of date flows through there. Fastest access on earth."
"So what'd they say?" Clint asked. Fury sighed," He's fixated on the missiles, but the codes are constantly being changed."
"Skye from your ops team?" Peter asked. Fury shook his head," No... party unknown."
"Do we have an ally?" Nat asked. Eric shook his head as Nina said," Ultron's got an enemy, that may not be the same thing."
"Still, I'd pay folding money to know who it is," Fury said. Tony sighed," I might need to visit Oslo, find our 'Unknown."
"Anything else you have for us?" Bucky asked.
"I have you. Back in the day, I had eyes everywhere, ears everywhere else. Here we all are, back on earth, with nothing but our wit, and our will to save the world. So stand. Outwit the platinum bastard," Fury replied. Nata smiled and snarked," Steve doesn't like that kind of talk."
"You know what, Romanoff, screw that," Steve said as she smiled mischievously. Bucky laughed a little as he asked," So what douse Ultron want?"
"The same thing Shawn wanted... to evolve," Bucky stated calmly as he looked at the picture that Clint's niece had given to Nat. Baner looked at the group and said," Has anyone been in contact with Helen Cho?"
