Summary
Thor knew something was weird, he was just not quite able to put his finger on it. His Father had hastened him to return to Earth, weakening himself in the process, no doubt, as the Rainbow Bridge was still...out of commission to say the least. What he had not expected was to have his father wish him to return with his brother, Loki. He had thought Loki dead, but it would seem that was not quite correct. That alone is suspect, he had fallen into the Void, after all, and none survive the void. Needless to say, his twist of memories, though Thor knew a good portion of what he had told him on the rock was true, there was something that ringed...off with what he was saying. It made more sense when he got more information though, but he had no idea how to fix his little brother.

Chapter 4

"Not many can sneak up on me...." Loki turned sharply, his blue eyes clashing against hers.

"I am not many..."

"Clearly," Loki moved away from her, still cautious, his eyes flittering through the rest of the room, as if expecting something to drop from the sky...what was it he had said on the jet 'not overly fond of what follows' and then Thor had dropped onto their jet and almost threw it out of the sky, so Natasha thought perhaps watching for unseen projectiles from the celieng was probably a common thing, and a necessity.

"Your brother is..."

"He is not my brother," That...that was quite the emotion to have with that, and Natasha noticed if briefly how his eyes flashed a brilliant green, before it faded once more into the cold icy blue. "If all you are here for is for...Thor...I would suggest leaving, I will not speak with him." He turned, wanting to ignore her but Natasha sat herself on the floor.

"Fine, let's not talk about him then." Loki paused, tilting his head towards her, as if curious. He turned once, facing her again, prim and proper. Natasha could practically see the royal aura just off how he stood. He waved his hand, as if to say go on. "Why do you want to subjegate earth,"

"Does it matter? Soon enough things will come to a head, and it won't matter petty things such as...reasons...wants...whatever else." Natasha tried to hold back her irritation.

"Just curious, why not humor me."

"I am not in the habit of humoring...anyone." The words contained a hint of venom, anger, old anger. Natasha had the feeling those exact words were used against him, leaving him bitter and upset when hearing them. Still, things were just suspect, and Thor was clearly not exactly the easiest person to talk to. She could tell that immediately.

"Okay,"

"Why are you here?" Loki asked, tilting forwards, bending to loom, even though she was seperated from him, it was still unnerving nonetheless. "If you wanted information, you would have asked for it by now. I know how desperate you are to know how your dear old Barton is doing. Rest assured, he is fine, for now." The blue eyes glinted in amusement. Natasha stared at him, feeling distinctly wrong footed. He had not taken the bait to her lures, and now he was...she was not really sure what he was doing.

"He will break free." Loki shrugged as if it was not important to him.

"Maybe, maybe not, what does it matter?"

"It matters to you," Natasha said. Loki narrowed his eyes slightly, watching her cautiously. "You said before you took him, 'you have heart'...you didn't bother saying anything to anyone else. What was it that you saw in Barton? Hmm?"

"I will not answer to you!" The eyes flashed dangerously again, and before Natasha could speak another word, Loki jerked, his head flying backwards, body as if it was shot by lightening. He dropped into a meditative pose, his fingers holding an ever so slight tremble. Icy eyes glared at her. "Go," The words were curt, but Natasha saw how his eyes flashed a green right before the blue concealed it once again, and she rushed out of the room. She called Stark, ordering him to pull up their camera footage of the room immediately as she ran. There was something there. Something that Loki did not want them to know, and they needed to figure out what it was.
