Violet was sure that they were walking into a trap.

There was absolutely no way that everything was going smoothly, it was too perfect! And she would know, have you met her parents?!

Violet and Hiro quickly walked down a winding hallway of the building they knew Calico was hiding. They had tracked down Wilbur Robinson’s vitals and sniffed out (pun not intended, as that's literally what the dog did) where he was.

What threw violet for a loop was… it was too easy. Nobody had gotten caught, which seemed impossible because in her opinion, these “Big Hero 6” guys weren't too good at planning under pressure quietly on the field.

That Spy girl showed her some videos of the team in action to help her know what she was working with but, all Violet saw was flaws! But usually they pulled themselves together and won in the end.

The hero walking ahead of her shifted uncomfortably, feeling her intense stare on the back of his head.

They continued to walk in silence.

‘Hiro? Everything ok on your end?’ A sweet voice whispered into the air. The boy- Hiro moved his hand up to one of the antennae on his helmet and pressed down on a button.

‘Yep, going very well over here. How are you guys?’ He asked, slowing his pace so he and Violet were side by side. Violet stared at him questioningly until he noticed her look and motioned to his helmet, mouthing ‘so you can hear too.’

Violet blinked and nodded in understanding as he turned his head forward again. She blushed, how did she miss that?

‘Pretty good, Wasabi stubbed his toe awhile back and made a really loud squeal but nobody came. I think they knew we were coming and left.’ A rough voice stated, and Violet heard some protesting in the back about how ‘it wasn't a squeal’. She chuckled and Hiro looked at her warmly.

It was a start to a conversation she guessed.

'Everything's looking good over here too, I'm almost to the holding cell.’ The spy mumbled, Violet almost didn't hear her. A moment of static hit the communication device before another voice chimed in.

'That's great. Franny and I are almost to the building, Dr. Calico said he wanted to meet on his terms. I don't think he realizes we would've come here anyways, his terms or not.’ Mr. Robinsons voice turned dark at the end, effectively making the mood tense.

Violet had almost forgotten why she was here. Someone had gotten kidnapped and would be held captive until this villain got what he wanted.

Which happened to be a Time Machine.

Violet ran into Hiro’s back and stumbled, he turned and made a motion at her to be careful before pointing around a corner. Down the next hallway there was a large door with a metal plate above with the words ‘Control Room’ engraved on it.

The communicator made a strange static noise again, then once more before Hiro turned it off.

They looked at each other and nodded before slowly making their way to the door. Violet quickly put up a force field and held it as if it was a weapon while Hiro balled up his fists and took on a defencive position.

Violet tried to ignore the presence of the robot behind her as it was gonna make her nervous. She thought it was strange because the robot hadn't said a thing the whole time. Or maybe it did and she just didn't notice.

As they came up to the door, Violet was once again hit with a wave of dread that made her stomach drop. Where were the guards? Why hadn't they been caught yet?

Hiro inhaled and pushed the doors open. The room was shrouded in darkness. The teens and the robot took a couple of steps forward before the room was suddenly engulfed in a red light. Violet stumbled back a few steps as what she saw in front of her sunk in.

A man with a green cat like eye and scar grinned darkly at them as Mr. And Mrs. Robinson struggled to fight off multiple thugs. In another area of the room, the rest of Big Hero 6 opened another set of doors and were dumbfounded by the sight. They had been tricked.

In the distance, someone's communicator beeped. 'I found the hostage, we're on our way to you guys.’ The spy said.

That's all Violet heard before the rush of the fight got to her and she tuned out anything that wasn't what was happening in that room.

Penny moved hastily with practice, sticking to the shadows. She let muscle memory take over as she made her way to the upper levels of Calico's base, having memorized these halls and doors from old escapes.

She slowed to a stop and quickly jumped up a wall before cramming herself into a dark corner of the ceiling.

A group of guards ran out the door below her, passing a small door. She leapt down and walked up to the entrance, taking notice of the combo lock. Knowing the code was the same for all the cells on each level, she entered a pin and slipped inside the room.

She tucked and rolled near a wall and crouched down enough to make it hard to see her, though she doubted anyone could see in here. Someone sighed faintly and she took the chance to look around.

This room was barely lit, the only light source being small panels that released a dim blue light around the room. In the center was a pointy haired boy stuck to a chair. She found his cell.

As she was about to get closer, the door opened and she pressed herself to the wall. A thin man with silver hair and clunky black glasses walked in, a crooked grin stretched across his face. “How's our lovely hostage?” He joked.

Penny’s lip curled in distaste. The agent was here too? This was more serious than ever.

Wilbur looked at the man with annoyance but Penny could tell from her place in the room that he was scared. The agent chuckled and walked up to Wilbur, setting a honey hand on Wilbur’s shoulder.

He attempted to hide a cringe but failed, Penny winced in sympathy. “Terrible, thanks for asking. Hey, how's getting your hands on a Time Machine going for ya?” Wilbur snarked, tripping over a couple of words.

The agent patted the boy's head, shaking his head and chuckling as if he just heard a child say something ridiculous. “Very well actually, your parents should be done talking to the boss within the hour and you'll get to go home! Of course, down a Time Machine but hey! Can't win 'em all.”

Wilbur's eyes grew wide, and Penny saw him start to shake a bit. The agent's watch beeped, and he looked at it only to frown a bit. What was that face for?

The agent turned to Wilbur, smiled wide and mockingly before turning and leaving the room. “I'll be back to return you to your folks! And don't look so glum kid, this whole incident will be great for publicity!”

And with a dark chuckle, the agent turned and closed the door. A moment passed as Penny stared at the door in detestment before turning her attention back to the boy in the chair.

She slowly walked up to him, causing him to notice she was there. His eyebrows shot up before a grin crossed his face. “Nice hiding spot, I didn't even see you come in.” He said, making Penny smile bashfully. “Eh, you get used to being sneaky when you're like me.”

Her face switched back to seriousness and she walked around his chair to the control panel in the back of the seat. Wilbur stilled, and the smile slid off his face as the situation settled in his mind once again.

After a couple of moments, Penny pulled out a wire and used a pair of tweezers to cut it, causing the chair to turn off and release Wilbur. He sighed in relief and rubbed his wrists.

“So what's the plan, chief?” He turned to her, a small grin on his face again, despite his body language saying the complete opposite. Penny grabbed his hand and squeezed tight, catching him off guard.

“Sorry, but I think it helps to have someone to hold onto after being in this place for a while.” She apologized, casting a glance at the chair. Wilbur exhaled and nodded, the smile sliding off his face again. “We should get to the others in the control room, and get out of here.”

Wilbur looked above the chair and pointed up with his unoccupied hand. “Since the door is locked from the outside, how about we use the vent? This room is pretty small so we both should be able to get up there.” He suggested.

Penny grinned and led them to the chair, climbing up. “Hold me upside down.” Wilbur furrowed an eyebrow but obliged. Doing this, Penny kicked the vent open, quickly swinging herself around so she could climb in.

Grabbing Wilbur's hand, she pulled him into the vent and they started making their way to the control room. “I Found the hostage, we're on our way to you guys.” Penny spoke into her communication watch before tuning out of the frequency.

After a couple of minutes the two found themselves on the vent above the control room. Penny looked at Wilbur. “Are you ready to jump down?” She asked, Wilbur nodded and she took the cover off the vent.

They looked at eachother once more before Penny jumped down, Wilbur right after her.

However, they didn't jump into a calm quiet room full of heroes. They jumped onto a battlefield.
