[READER] stands in front of a full length mirror, their clothes quite revealing, causing most of their scars to be seen.
“God, this is ridiculous..” [READER] mumbles to themselves, as they cover their stomach with their arms.
Steve enters the room, his Captain America suit dirty from a days work. “Hey, [READER].” He says, before changing into his pyjamas.
[READER] is still examining themselves as Steve finishes off changing. He notices their upset expression. He walks over behind them and wraps his strong arms around their waist, pulling them into his chest. He puts his chin on their head.
“You okay, darling?” He asks softly, placing a kiss on their cheek.
“Yeah, just..” [READER] exhales deeply, relaxing into his touch. “Scars, I hate ‘em.” [READER] finally admits.
Almost instinctively, Steve turns [READER] around, facing him. “You may hate them, I love them. It shows how much of a strong, independent person you are. Shows that you’re a survivor.” He says, gently. [READER] smiles, pressing a kiss to his lips.
Then they go watch Tangled bc thats my fav disney movie ❤️❤️
