Scars

Alice woke up with the feeling and taste of him on her lips. She raised her fingers to her lips and smiled she would never get used to that feeling.

"Good Morning, Darling," Loki said as he gently kissed her forehead that is not where she wanted to be kissed. A moment after the kiss, Alice realized that it was early morning sun already up, meaning her father was already up and would be here any moment to wake her. Loki saw this thought process through her expressions of panic. " Relax, he's not here. He's busy getting ready," he kissed her knuckles " I have some unfortunate news Darling".

Alice sat up and started checking his body for visible injuries pr wounds.

"What's wrong? What happened? Are you hurt?"

"No, I'm not hurt... I'm going on a mission with the team I'll be gone for a few days. Dr. Banner and Sergeant Barnes will be staying behind with you"

Alice's heart fell into her stomach. And fear crawled into her throat. A mission far away, and Loki was going. She had watched her father and Avengers go on Missions, and they come back with bruises and sometimes bleeding, with the help of others. Alice knew Loki didn't have the best reputation with the team she feared they wouldn't have his back and he'd get hurt or worse.

"You're going?" she wrapped her arms around him " I...I'm scared"

Loki sighed and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead." I need to gain some kind of trust with them. Plus this is why I'm here, for community services remember. I need to serve somewhere." Alice buried her face in his chest. " I'll be back"

"Promise?"

"Promise," and Loki leaned down, sealing said promise with a kiss. Soft and sweet Alice was once again in a trance brought upon by his lips.

Loki knew that now probably wasn't the best time to tell her that this wasn't his first mission with the Avengers. Just the first mission that would last more than a few hours. She surely have a heart attack if she knew.

"fruit," Alice said as she pulled away.

"What?"

"Um, sorry, its just you taste kind of like fruit... Is that weird? I'm sorry"

Loki chuckled and kissed her again " Thank you for the compliment ... you're perfect."

"Yo reindeer games you listening" Tony waved his hand in front of Loki's face.

"I'm as incompetent as you Stark I heard everything." Steve was going over the plan with everything. They were supposed to sneak into a group, get information then use that information to get more secret information then disappear like they were never there. That was the plan but knowing this group there was a 12% chance it would go right.

"Brother, what's wrong?" Thor asked, pulling Loki to the side after the meeting.

"What do you mean"

" You seem off. You're usually excited about these missions."

It's reu Loki did like going on these missions. The adrenaline rush, being in battle, kicking butt, he loved it. " I'm fine Brother" Loki pushed passed him " There's no need to worry".

Thor stepped forward and grabbed his wrist "Brother, you're losing your touch. I could see right through that lie," Loki sighed.

"I... feel uneasy with this mission lasting so long. That's all" Even though he knew there was more, Thor took the excuse and let Loki be.... for now.

Alice softly traced her lips, still feeling the coldness and taste of his lips. "Alice," she could hear his voice " Alice" as he called her name so sweetly " Alice, Alice, Alice... ALICE" She jumped up at the loud voice that was not Loki's. At the end of her bed stood her father.

"I'm leaving for a mission," Tony said, watching her reaction " It'll take a few days. I'll be back" Alice crawled to the end of her bed and hugged her father. Tony sighed hugging her back "It's like 2-3 days tops"

"You'll be back?"

"I always come back"

"Will you bring everyone back with you?"

"Yeah"

"Everyone?"

Tony thought Alice meant something entirely different she meant everyone, including Loki, the man she wasn't supposed to know about, the man that was supposed to be a secret. While she did wish for everyone's safe return, Loki was the main one she was worried about. Her one and only true companion, the only friend she ever had. As selfish as it sounds, he was the only one she truly wanted to stay behind. He was her everything at this point she had no one else.
