Peter Parker - Undercover Cop
Undercover Cop Peter trying to find the information broker Iron Man and uses the identity of a dead man, Tony Stark, as his cover. [Peter has 4 months to find the head of the Vulture Gang, their main witness has only 6 months left to live, and they have to catch the man in order to charge him and put him away.]
Meets a dude who calls himself Stark. After hearing Peter’s intro, he smirks and gives him a number, telling him “Us Starks got to stick together”
[Tony thinks that this random kid figured him out and is covertly informing him, he’s impressed]
[At the confrontation Peter quickly realizes what happened and is working on the fly, claims he’s got an in with the Spider-Man gang (Spyder). Stark is skeptical, but agrees to work with Peter if he can provide proof of his affiliation - a Spyder Byte. The microchipped spider brooch only worn by the two heads of the Spyder {Brothers Tobey and Andrew}. Peter agrees.]
[Peter works his way into Spyder by way of his claim to knowing Iron Man, and his incredible intelligence and wit. He quickly wins over The Spyder Brothers (his training kicks in when an assassin tries to murder the brothers, and he quickly incapacitates the man while letting off sassy quips), and they fashion him his own Spyder Byte.]
[Through his connections, Peter is able to locate Vulture, and isolate their leader. Unfortunately the man is quite a deal more aware and dangerous, and he knows exactly who Peter is and how to trap him. The Spyder Brothers and Iron Man are captives and if Peter doesn’t back off then The Vulture is going to kill them. The destabilizing of the underground would give his gang the opportunity to seize control of the entire lower portion of New York. Peter carefully puts his gun down, holding his hands up. Vulture grins but Peter’s not done with his tricks yet. A thread of white snatched the remote from his hands and Peter catches it. He’s playing innocent but the words he says implies a lot of danger. The Vulture tries to grab something but Peter webs his hand down. Then his other one. Then his feet. Peter grins, sassy comebacks at the ready when the police storm the place. Everyone is taken into custody.]
[Sitting in the investigation room, Tony is waiting, worried about what charges they could hold against him, when the detective walks in. Tony freezes. It’s Peter. Peter introduces himself, real name and all, and explains what his mission was. Peter tells him that Tony is only here to provide testimony and information on The Vulture. There is nothing on Tony that they’re pressing charges on, with the single caveat of working with the police for future information. Tony realizes that there are hand prints around Peter’s neck. Peter tells him that chasing the Vulture down wasn’t without its dangers.]
[Sitting together in an investigation room, the Spyder Brothers are trying to figure out what they might be in for when Peter walks in. Instantly Tobey knows that Peter is a cop, and voices his betrayed disbelief. Andrew asks if Peter was a spy. Peter reveals their role in his investigation - all of them being part of his plan to find the Vulture and take him in. Peter tells them carefully that there are no charges being held against them because there was nothing he found while undercover. They’re witnesses in the trial would be invaluable, but if they desired complete release from the case they could go. Tobey is the first one to say they’ll provide testimony.]
[After the trial, Peter exits the court house and bids farewell to his partner who welcomes him back. He turns to see that three familiar men are standing around his car. He apologizes for the lies and hands over the Spyder Byte. He tells them that they are all good men and that their assistance was invaluable to him. Tobey says that Peter’s not talking about the case, and hands him back the Spyder Byte. Promises to help if he ever needs it, and turns away. Andrew tells Peter that it’s quite difficult to fool Tobey and he should be proud, before turning and walking off after his brother. Tony clears his throat and Peter turns, trying his hardest not to look guilty. He’d lied to Tony about practically everything, his identity, his connections - but Tony finally relents and says that Peter had never lied about his intensions. Tony tosses Peter a ring, the name STARK is engraved in it. Tony repeats ‘Us Starks have to stick together’. After thank you’s and farewells, Peter’s about to drive off when Tony knocks on his window. Upon the window being rolled down, Tony tells Peter that the jewelry given to him is a claim, a mark, a promise. Their enemies are his, and Peter’s enemies are theirs. Their world is built of lies, but claims like these are the only truths that hold their crumbling world up. Peter is a Stark.]
