Happy Accidents
Frankenstein would notice small things. They would share a plate of cookies. They would seek each other out after a battle. They would sit together in silence. They would stare after each other and blush when they would accidentally touch. It was honestly sickening.
Even with his master complex with Rai, Frankenstein was dumbfounded by their obliviousness. It made him sick to think about it at times, but he would ensure anything for his master's happiness.
Tao was smart. Super smart. But even he didn't know how these two didn't know they were crushing on each other. There were too many scenes he'd seen on the monitors to think otherwise. He was honestly happy for them, but it was too funny watching M21 struggle for him to help his fellow modified human. Takeo thought he was being too harsh on the Werewolf. Tao had a bet with some of the kids, and he refused to lose!
Muzaka was amused. Rai and the young werewolf were adorably oblivious. It brought him great joy to see his friend have some life in him. It was not very long ago that Rai would watch centuries go by without a thought after all, but to see him cherish every moment, that was special. He could only hope that their happiness would continue to grow.
Seira and the rest of Rai’s Knights had noticed pretty quickly when Rai and M21 started falling for each other. She was amused, and would often end up talking to the Lord about their Noblesse and how cute he was acting. Girl talk, if you will. Regis and the other boys, on the other hand, were less than amused. It started with jealousy because they thought it was a bromance. But, they were quickly disillusioned; especially when they would share snacks. It was painfully obvious, but the Nobles enjoyed leaarning how to gamble. So far, all of the boys had lost the bet, and it was looking like Seria would win it. Though the boys were also wondering if their bets on when Seira and Shinwoo were going to get together would pan out. (Tao is an awful influence.)
On an unusually calm Saturday, Rai and M21 were sharing a snack as everyone played games around them. It was a nice change from the chaos that the last several months had brought. Everyone was together.
Disaster loves to strike when least expected.
An inocuous game of strength had Seira bump into Yuna. The smallest girl was caught by Suyi, but they both lost their balance. Tao, in an effort to save his computer, leapt out of the way, causing Takeo to try to stop the girls from falling. He inadvertently used M21 as a launch pad, pushing him into Rai. And, despite his superior reflexes, he couldn’t catch himself from falling into Rai. The Noblesse, of course, caught the flustered Werewolf, causing everyone to turn and see M21 and Rai’s lips meet with their eyes widened in shock.
Rai was bright red and frozen with his Werewolf draped over him in a almost comedic fashion. The Noblesse pulled away first. “A-Apologies.” He said, red faced.
“D-Don’t be. It was my fault.” M21 responded, looking away.
The room was silent until Shinwoo spoke up. “So, does that mean that Seira won the bet?”
Frankenstein’s murderous intent flooded the room, and everyone except for M21 and his Master began cleaning up and escorting the kids away. It was not the most optimal way to come face to face with their feelings, but Rai could certainly appreciate how good his Werewolf looked while flushed red.
