Chocolate And nightmares
Once he had signed Peter out of the Hospital, Tony, and Peter were heading outside to to the car waiting for
them. Once Tony had buckled Peter inside, he also got in himself.
“To the ice cream shop, Happy.” Tony had told Happy, his driver to which he just replied by nodding and starting the car
to leave.
On the way there, Tony looked over to Peter, to find him resting his head on Tonys arm slowly drifting to sleep, that was until they hit a stop and shook Peter awake. “Are we there yet?” Peter asked, sitting up rubbing his eye with one hand, holding Tony's hand with the other.
“Not yet Kiddo, I’ll tell you when we are so go ahead and sleep” Tony had replied, Gently patting Peter's head smiling. Peter had let out a small hum in response, quickly drifting back into his slumber resting alongside Tony.

“Peter, Buddy. It’s time to wake up, we’re here.” Tony had whispered, gently shaking the boy who rests his head in his lap. Peter replied with a slight grumble slowly getting up and rubbing his eyes, trying to process the info that Stark had just given him. *bing!* “we’re here!! For real life??” Peter asked, eyes sparkling.
“Yes, for real life. Come On let's go get some ice cream” Tony replied with ‘jazzhands’.
Tony Stark. A billionaire/superhero. Who had access to all sorts of gadgets and trinkets, would clearly have a mask or such in handy yes? Wrong. Like usual Tony just pulled out his handy dandy glasses, hoping they would be enough to hide his identity. And with that he grabbed Peter still rubbing his eyes Parker, and left the car heading into the shop.
Tony had to set Peter down to be able to grab the ice creams and hand Peter’s to him, to which the boy happily took. Glad he wasn't lied to, they both then walked out of the store side by side.
“O M G, are you Tony stark! It is you!” a woman had suddenly shrieked pointing to Tony, when a sudden mob came rushing in to get a better look at the celebrity. Tony, knowing that he had to try to find a way out of this, grabbed Peter's arm to make a run for it.. Only to find Peter not there.
“Peter!!” Tony frantically called out, as the mob came closer.. Now circling around Tony. As he tried to push his way through the Crowd, he heard a voice that he was now all too familiar to call out for him. “Mr. Tony !” it screamed. “Peter??!” He called out getting closer to the cries he heard, only to now be faced to a reporter firmly holding a crying Peters arm.
“Let go ! please !” Peter shouted at the Reporter, using his free arm to try and get his other one free. “Peter !” Tony had shouted, quickly placing his ice cream on the table beside him and rushing in and shwopping Peter up and into his arms. “Are we done? Because I certainly think so. And don’t ever come near me or this kid, understand?” Tony had said to the reporter who had let go of Peter's arm stuck in fear of what might happen to him. As Tony was walking away he looked down to see Peter, who was staring up at him with literal stars in his eyes.
“Wow.. that was so cool!” He shrieked Smiling up at Tony who was more than happy to return that smile. As they were sitting down and about to head off, Peter quickly spoke up, “Wait ! we can't leave !! not yet!” He said looking around the car frantically. “Why what's wrong kiddo?” Tony asked worried something bad had happened.
“You forgot your ice cream ! we have to go and get it!” Peter answered, pointing at Stark's hands, then outside. The hero could only stare at the little boy before he sighed. “It’s okay Peter, I wasn’t hungry anyway. As long as you’ve got your ice cream we'll find kiddo.” He had replied smiling down At the boy, who then stuck out his hands holding the ice cream towards Tony.
“Then we can share ! I don't mind !” He said smiling once again. As many times as Tony had tried to refuse on Peter's offer, he had finally given in and taken a bite of the ice cream. Now happy with doing his job, Peter began to eat his part of the ice cream, Humming and rocking side to side slowly.

“Hey, what’s wrong Kiddo?” The older male asked, looking down at Peter, who was now holding his ice cream with his head down. “I… I.. Don’t want to.. To eat anymore… But I do like it ! The ice cream is really yummy !! I- I’m… not hungry.” Peter had said whispering towards the end not wanting to worry Tony, who just let out a sigh. “It’s okay kiddo, if you don't want to eat right now… you can always eat later, so don't stress okay?” Tony had reassured the boy, taking the cup from his hands. Peter just nodded, leaning against Tony as he let out a sigh, knowing everything was gonna be okay.
“Boss we’re here.” Happy had said lowering the divider from the back and front seats. “Okay thanks, Happy.” Tony had said picking up Peter and getting out of the car.
When the boy looked up to the left, he let out a tiny squeal. “It’s Ironman's home !” He shouted-whispered pointing at the building which he’d seen many times on the news. Tony could only let out a chuckle as he walked towards the tower wondering what Peter would be like after knowing he's actually Ironman. “Yes kid… Ironman’s home.. Why don't we go meet Iron man?” He said as he entered the building.
“For real life?? I can meet Ironman?? First ice cream and now this??! Best day ever!” Peter squealed, slightly jumping up and down in Tony’s arms. “Yes kiddo, best day ever !” Tony had replied sarcastically, pushing the button to his workshop. Oh little did Peter know..
Once they had stepped out of the elevator Tony had let down the young boy to have a look around as he set his stuff on the table near him. Peter on the other hand, ran right over to the first Ironman suit he saw, letting out little ‘wows’ and gasps as he walked over and examined each and every piece there was in the room. “I don't get it though. Where’s Ironman?” Peter had said, turning around to look at Tony, pouting.
Tony could only let out a laugh as he made his way towards Peter, Picking him up walking back to the elevator. “But I wanted to meet Ironman!” Peter protested, tearing up. “Don’t worry kiddo, Le’me tell you a secret… I know Ironman, and he said that he would meet you upstairs!” Tony had replied trying to cheer up the kid, to which Peter just let out a little gasp, wiping his eyes before the tears came out.
“For real life??! But.. What if Ironman doesn’t like me? Or thinks I’m gross!” Peter said Looking down, tearing up once again. “Hey, hey. Peter, Ironman isn’t going to think like that ! I promise okay? Now let’s wipe those tears away, can’t let Ironman see them.” Tony said once again reassuring the boy, wiping the few tears that had fallen off his cheek. Peter could only nod in response, before they heard the elevator *ding!* signaling they had arrived .
“Ok kiddo, you wait here and i'm gonna go check where Ironman is. Okay?” Tony had said, placing Peter to the ground, to which Peter just nodded looking around the place in awe, holding the bottom of his shirt tightly. As Tony tried to walk back to the elevator he stopped in his tracks all of a sudden looking down to see a little boy clinging to his legs. “Wait..! A.- what if.- when..- he..-” Peter couldn't seem to find the right words to express how he was feeling. Lucky Tony knew what he meant.
“I promise I’m not gonna leave you kiddo, and I promise.. He’s not gonna hate you, or hurt you.” Tony said crouching now, placing a kiss on Peter's forehead. “Now, I can only go and get Ironman if you let go of me.” The adult said getting up again, to which Peter replied to buy letting go of Tony, backing away from him tightly holding the bottom of his shirt once again.

It had been exactly 3 minutes and counting, since Tony had promised he wasn’t going to leave, and that Ironman wasn’t going to hate Peter, who was now sitting on the floor curled into a little ball. Peter is scared of the dark, scared of what or who may come out of it and try to hurt him. But.. he believes in Tony, he trusts Tony so much more than he can and will ever trust anyone else. So there he was, waiting for his favourite Superhero: Ironman. That was waiting… until he heard a noise behind him. Now he's scared.
“Woah ! Woah ! Hey there kid.. Calm down” The voice had spoken, raising its hands in a defeated type of pose. Peter, still scared, started screaming at the voice to leave him alone, now on the verge of tears. “Woah, Kiddo, it’s okay. It’s me: Ironman?” The hero had said, now walking towards the small boy who had let his guard down. “This is a joke isn’t it.” Peter had started, freezing with his arms around him. And then- “This isn’t funny Luke! I don’t wanna play your game!” Peter shouted at the man. Tears now falling down his scared little face.
“Hey, hey, Peter, it's okay. It’s me, Tony okay? No Ironman, no Luke. Just Tony” The man had said, taking off his helmet to prove that it was him and no one else. “Mr. Tony..?” Peter had asked, looking at the man before tearing up again. “Yea kiddo, Mr. Tony.” he had replied, crouching down, opening his arms for Peter, who gladly ran over and hugged the man. “That wasn’t nice. I was scared, and..- an..- the dark-” Peter had started between sobs to which Tony just hushed him, telling him to breathe, telling him that he was fine.. He was safe.
“Wait.. but..- What about Ironman? Couldn’t he make it-?” Peter asked, Rubbing his eyes. Tony could only start laughing at the littles boy's questions, had he not realized it? “Oh Peter.. I am Ironman. I had this whole idea planned to surprise you y’know.” Tony had sighed, looking at Peter with a smile on his face, only to see the sparkles in the boy's eyes as he looked up.
“That’s so cool! I can’t believe my #1 favourite hero and Ironman are the same people!” Peter shouted looking up at Tony. “But wait i thought Ironman was your #1 fav? Who is it?” Tony asked, giving the boy some space. “It's you silly ! you're my favourite ! you saved me today..” Peter had answered yawning, curling into Tony, giving into the sleep.
Tony could only look down at the boy who laid asleep in his lap. Glad he was able to do something. Anything, for the kid.

Tony had now set the boy in the bed in the guest bedroom, saying he’ll make him his own room tomorrow. As of right now, he slumped on his bed fast asleep. Peter on the other hand was fast asleep, so to say- Peter was actually sitting up straight in his bed. He had had a nightmare a few minutes ago and had accidentally wet the bed, and was scared of what Tony might do or say to him. ‘No. Mr. Tony isn’t like that,’ Peter thought to himself, wiping away the tears that threatened to spill. ‘But what if he is? What if he lied to you.’ a small voice at the back of his head said.
Scared the voice was right, Peter had quickly scurried off of the bed to one end. Pulling as hard as he could, after a few tries Peter had managed to get the sheet off of the bed, he then rushed out of the room. ‘Which way is the laundry room?’ Peter thought, then remembered something he had seen on TV. He remembered watching an interview with Mr. Tony in it talking about his house, that he had an A.I who controlled the house. But Petter couldn’t remember the name sadly.
‘Its okay, I’ll just have the look around the big.. Dark.. place.. No ! I have to do this.. Or Mr. Tony will hate me !’ Peter thought to himself, shaking his head from side to side. After a few minutes of standing and observing the area outside his room, Peter had determined that the laundry room was across the hall, somewhere.. But Peter had got this! After all, he owed Tony for saving his life.. (Or so he thought~)
After checking a few rooms, from here to there, and from there to here. Peter had finally found the laundry room! And was now putting in the sheets he had held in his hands, Peter was doing just fine. That was until he had to add the detergent, which was located all the way on the shelf above the machine. Lucky Peter had found a stool in the room.. Using that and a box, Peter made his way to the detergent. I Had to lean a little to grab it, but he got it.
Little did Peter know that the stool was missing a leg. Crash!* Peter had fallen from the chair and scraped both his knees, ‘oww.. My knees.. No. it’s okay, I just have to clean the sheets and then I can clean my knees..’ Peter thought sniffing, getting up to put the detergent in the machine.
“Sir, Peter Parker is in the Laundry room currently. He appears to have small cuts on his knees and scratches on his hands.” F.R.I.D.A.Y had told the sleeping billionaire, who then shot awake wondering why the boy had woken up. “What is he doing F.R.I.D.A.Y?” he asked. “The laundry.. Sir.” She replied.
After a few minutes, Tony had run across the hall to find Peter just like F.R.I.D.A.Y had said.. Doing the laundry. “Peter! Buddy, what are you doing??” He asked as he went over to see Peter now sitting on the floor, legs apart, trying to clean up the detergent he spilled. “I was cleaning up the mess.. I..- I.. got scared, and had an accident.. I’m sorry.” Peter answered, looking away embarrassed.
Tony could only sigh, Knowing this was going to take a while. “Kiddo, It’s okay to get scared or have accidents, just come to me okay? You can help me clean it in the morning then. What way you won’t get hurt again, Okay?” He said softly, crouching down to pick up Peter.
“Yea, but… I feel bad.” Peter had told the man, “And that’s Okay, But you have to know Peter.. That you aren’t alone anymore okay? I’m here to help you” Tony had gently replied to the boy, slowly rocking him in his arms. “Now, let's get that cut bandaged and you can sleep with me okay?” He said walking away from the mess of a laundry room.
Boy was this going to be a long week… or month even.
