“…H-Hey, Undyne.”
The former scientist spoke, eyebrows drawn, head down, eyes focusing on the blue floor beneath her.
“I-I’ve missed you. W-Without you here e-everything is a bit t-to hard to manage.”
She looks up, tears unshed, as if searching for stars, only getting false ones. She wrings her hands, a nervous little chuckle at the silence at the other end of the line.
“S-Sans is here, t-to help, but i-it’s not really the same.”
She looks down, again, eyes landing on the water. She sighs, looking away from her reflection.
“….I love you.”
No one answers her, and she speaks up.
“H-Hey, Undyne? A-Are you listening?”
It’s still quiet, just a faint buzz on the other end.
“I said I love you.”
But no one would answer her ever again.
