Chapter 1
Penny Parker knows a few things for sure, she is Penny and not a he, still unsure what she is but not a he, so currently she is it, that she isn't normal, that she is smart but that you have to work on it to not let it waste, that her parents died on S.H.I.E.L.D work, the last of her family, uncle Ben and aunt May died in 2012 in the invasion, that the fostering systhem sucks and that getting bitten by a spider, especially when you secretly take estrogen and testosteron blockers that your best friend helps you get on the internet, is not good, but what can you do, the hospital would just set her in debt. Well there is also the detail to consider that the spider that bit her wis seemingly genetically engeneered, if the 42 with the Oscorp word over it is anything to go by. Alarming is also, that Oscorp doesn't exist anywhere, not even the S.H.I.E.L.D. database. Yes Penny hacked S.H.I.E.L.D., yes she knows that S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't infallable and doesn't know everything, but Penny can conclude that the spider isn't from earth, or well this earth. There are aliens out there so why should the multiverse theorie not have anything about it? The spider is either from out there or from a different earth. She also knows that S.H.I.E.L.D. looks out for her due to her having hacked it.
If Penny knows another thing, then that being ill because of a spider bite sucks majorly but she recovers after a day which is another oddity. Oh then there is the oddity of her new powers and her new metabolism so she doesnt even know how many more pills she would need of the estrogen and t-blockers then normally but if the slight boost in effects of the pills has anything to say for it, Penny concludes that the bite modifies her body so that any medicament she had ingested while the spider bite took effect is produced naturally, plus her new powers. And isn't that just awesome? New powers. She can safely say for the learning stages of them absolutely not, its annoying. The sticking is annoying, short circuiting anything she touches because appearantly she is a taser now too is also an inconveniance. Secreting a web out of the wrist like it's a new muscle is majorly annoying too and having turned literary invisible once because she sneezed is woah, but crushing everything because everything feels like paper and having more sensory overloads than normally because her senses got fine tuned is really shitty. Having this new danger sense is great tho.
That with having to go to school where she gets bullied is not fun but like the champ she is she can take that. She is currently thinking about a superhero costume tho because as her uncle always said 'with power comes responsibility' and she can only agree to that. Well if she does it as safe as she can but still. Maby princess Shuri can help her with that actually. Now you might ask how Penny knows princess Shuri, well she is 90% sure its her and from hacking the us government and having seen her hacking it and then using that connection to hack her. Well they are somewhat best friends since then with the other being the only one their age who can mentally challenge the other anymore. She knows she doesn't have the money for the superhero gig and that having a girl in the chair is admittadly a preferrable option, but well she has other things to do, like securing a place in highschool, preferrably midtown high that is paid for her because she doesnt have the money for a prestigous school like that.
In the leading month she gets a grip on her powers and enters her name into the september foundation that Stark Industry made happen for a paid scolarship at a near science school leading up to an internship at Stark Industries. She has to do a few easy tests at SI and one or two of the questions are hard to answer but with having learned for the test it's not really a problem. She gets in and has time now to revisit the idea of being a superhero. Her theorie of not having to take the hrt medication is prooven true as even with the fast metabolism the 'secound puberty' actually is now underway and that actually faster then it normally should. She has to find excuses for it now and her fosterparents not wanting to get in debt over it believe her excuse of gymnecomastia. What she didn't expect however is having to get medically examinated at SI monthly. Dr. Cho however reassures her directly with explaining that she actually is under nda and only has to say things like allergies, if she is good and how she is mentally.
"You really cannot tell them anything else?" Penny asks because well there is a big secret, even if she hasn't yet decided to be a superhero. "No even if I would find out you where a mutant, that would stay between you and me, I cannot even enter it in your medical file, only a private file that only I myself can access, not even the AI of stark has access to it and this room is one of the few that doesn't have surveillance, whatever it is you can trust me I literary can not tell anyone else." and so Dr. Helen Cho is the first person lerning about the spiderbite and the only living adult that knows of her being trans. They even test the things they can test which surprisingly is much of it. They learn that she can completely stop with her hrt because her body actually did what she thaught and that coming out would be the best outcome for her. She learns that due to SI now being partially responsible for her which comes from the september faundation, they actually would have paid for the hormones and will pay for her medicaments and the bottom surgery. They learn that she has a caloric intake even higher than that of a super solider and that her metabolism is incredibly fast, also faster than that of a supersolider. They get more things about it that actually only are important medically speaking so she doesn't bother to remember them that closely. Also appearantly she has a mild form of autism and adhd, which actually explains some things. She makes an edited copy of the work that Penny can give her foster parents which they can put in an official medical file.
On that day afterwards she also meets Ms Potts and Ms Romanov. Ms Romanov appearantly knew her parents and thusly is mildly interested in her life so she actually makes sure that penny likes it in her foster home and penny deciding to just be honest with her because thats a superspy how should she lie to her, so yay secound person she is out to and a person looking for a new foster home for her in case the coming out goes bad or the autism diagnosis gets recieved badly. Penny finds interesting that due to her super-hearing she can hear her hertbeat which she already knew but that it is steady so she is entirely honest in the conversation. The meeting with Ms Potts is due to her signing the september foundation and actually offering to start the internship now because the test results are awesome, she got even the questions right that where put in the test that should have been to hard fro her, she even solved a millenium price problem that was put in for fun and that is actually rediculous. Due to her being only 14 the price money for that would go to her parents but due to only having foster parents the money is giiven to her upon reaching 18 or an parental figure after a legal adoption. She accepts of course because she wants the internship and promptly comes out to her as well because if everything goes well she can start on this all as she. Ms Potts actually goes out of her way and offers to use they/them untill she is sure what she wants to be adressed as which she promptly accepts because that somehow feels right to her but she/her feels right too so she is going to think about that one.
In the last few months untill the summer holidays after which they will go to midtown high as a female student she figures out that they like to go by they/she pronouns, she got the final design for their superhero costume finished with Shuri and she is in an orphanage now after the coming out went bad with their foster family. She actually build up a friendship with Ms Romanov, you can call me Nat, who is still looking for a foster family 'and if I have to get a foster license myself, this time you get a good foster family', which she thinks is really touching that they have her on their side. Included in that are actual self defense and fighting lessons from the Black Widow because she found out they are gettinng bullied. They also found the superhero name she wants to have, Ghost-Spider but they know that mostly the media comes up with the names for superheroes. Maby she can use their computer knowlege to make that her online presence.
