MOEFY TRANSFORMATIONS P2
These next batch of transformations occurred when I studied the spell. I asked Harry to cast it on a special device I whipped up, but I have misjudged the strength of the spell and it exploded all over my office. Select few objects were hence transformed as well.
On one hand, more paperwork. Joy (sarcasm). On the other hand, a good research paper can be written, which I consider the only good type of paperwork.
SWORD OF GRYFFINDOR AKA ‘GRYFFI’
The Sword of Gryffindor came to Harry’s aid in the Chamber of Secrets, and it also connects to Hogwarts, which Harry has considered a home. The fact that he took solace in the fact that Gryffindor’s sword came to him, cementing him as a true Gryffindor and easing his worries in regards to his similarities to Voldemort, I can see why it of all objects could be affected.
Classification: Much like Maps, Cloak and Bolt, she can be classified as an Sentient Construct
Biology: She is now a being of living metal. She would be close to be considered what Muggles refer to as a ‘robot’ or ‘automaton’, in a way.
Diet: She is needless and doesn’t need eating but she can do it and she can enjoy it. She prefers to eat certain meats like pork and lamb.
Abilities: She is made of Goblin Steel, almost indestructible, and it gives her enhanced strength and durability. She doesn’t rust or require cleaning. Like Goblin steel she can absorb substances like venom, potions and other magical liquids.
Her entire body is covered in blades, which she can retract at will to not hurt her loved ones by accident. She is a very precise and skilled fighter with any of these, as during training I saw her sever a housefly clean in two.
She has the ability to sense great courage in an individual and appear to said person. She no longer needs the Sorting Hat to appear to them, as she can teleport to Harry’s side (whom she has bonded to) in times of great distress.
Intelligence: Due to her long lived nature, much like Cloak she has gained a general knowledge. She could easily sit her NEWTs.
Magic: She is made of magical steel and she already has magical substances absorbed in her, so she can cast spells without a wand.
Weaknesses: Goblin Steel is near-indestructible. Only select substances can destroy it, like other objects made from goblin steel or Fiendfyre, though in the latter case she’ll need to be exposed to it for a long time before it can melt her. Not that we try it out. The fact she is non-verbal gives problems with communication too.
Personality: She is quiet and non-verbal, but quite expressive. True to being the sword of Gryffindor, she is brave and valiant, though with a reckless streak. Willing to stand and fight to the end for what she believes in.
SORTING HAT AKA HATTIE
It’s the connection to Hogwarts that most likely has allowed Harry’s spell to affect him. Oddly enough only one of two transformations whom kept his male gender. If he was male before, he just acted and sounded male and didn’t correct anyone.
Classification: Much like Maps, Cloak and Bolt, he can be classified as an Sentient Construct
Biology: Solely made out of cloth in a humanoid form.
Diet: He doesn’t need to eat but now he can. He seems to have gained a taste of exotic foods like the French and Slavic dishes we serve during the Tournament.
Abilities: Despite his cloth composure, he was enchanted by the Founders themselves to be difficult to destroy, even magical fire doesn’t singe it.
His new body is very agile and dexterous, and he has taken to dancing using his new physical capabilities. His singing voice which was okay at best, would now be the voice for which a musical star would sell their soul to.
Now he no longer needs to be put on people’s heads to read their minds and has strong Legillimency that he just need eye contact or a surface scan of their minds. Luckily the privacy spells which makes sure he can’t reveal the thoughts of the students are still in effect.
Intelligence: Has the brain patterns of the Four Founders so he is not just NEWT level, he is brilliant. Maybe more so then me.
Magic: In theory he could use a wand, but he refused, instead of using dance moves and show magic to express himself.
Weaknesses: While durable, is not indestructible. The most powerful destructive spell could harm him.
Personality: His transformation has awakened his inner showman, with now a full body he can make everything he does more theatrical and hams up his own speech more. Everyone he goes he treats like his stage. He is admittingly a lot more happy and fun to watch.
FAWKES THE PHOENIX
Harry has shown great admiration for Fawkes, mostly due to its help and saving his life in the Chamber of Secrets. So of course Harry’s bond with Fawkes was good enough to warrant a transformation.
Classification: Much like Hedwig, she can be now considered a new subspecies of Harpy, making her the first of the new Phoenix Harpy.
Biology: Gained a similar Harpy-like physique to Hedwig, though with her own natural phoenix traits blended in.
Diet: She is now an omnivore though she still prefers a Phoenix’ natural diet of herbs and spices. She also prefers to eat all other types of food covered in a lot of spice.
Abilities: She still has all her Phoenix powers. She can Apparate in a burst of flame. While the range of the teleportation is unknown, knowing how far Phoenixes can flame, I wouldn’t be surprised if she can get around the world in a few jumps.
Her regeneration factor is amped up. She was able to shed all her feathers and regrow them near-instantly. Normally that only happens during burning day. I suspect her to be able to recover from great wounds that would kill other creatures. How much her rebirth cycle is affected isn’t known yet and as much as she can revive at will, I would rather not test this.
Her healing tears which can heal even Basilisk venom, are still present, and so is her musical voice. It empowers the pure of heart, and causes discomfort with those whom have great darkness in theirs.
While Hedwig and Bolt are shown to be better flyers, Fawkes is no slouch as she is fast, agile and skilled in her own right. Due to her abilities she can carry many time her own weight, carrying countless people at once with no sweat.
While Phoenixes aren’t violent, she still has powerful claws she could use to pluck out a basilisk’s eyes. Finally, Phoenixes are completely fireproof.
Intelligence: Phoenixes are intelligent, and a phoenix whom stood by one of the most brilliant people of all time (sorry about that, lack of false modesty) she has picked up some things from being around me as we are having great debates and talks about magical research.
Magic: She is a phoenix, so she doesn’t need a wandcore, she is one. She can use magic without a wand and cast spells at will.
Weaknesses: Difficult to say, the fact she is immortal and can regenerate means there are very few ways to permanently kill phoenixes. The only way is a short time window when they burst into flames and gather the ashes, and spread them around so the phoenix can’t be reborn from them. But that time window is so short it is difficult. And if my theory about her enhanced regeneration is true, she may revive even faster, too fast to be countered like this. Only way to get rid of a phoenix is locking them up somewhere they can’t get out. And since Phoenixes can bypass most wards, easier said then done.
Personality: She radiates warmth. She is like fire, passionate, energetic and very open about her feelings. She is also motherly as she has been mother henning me more then she did when she was untransformed. Would show that even when transformed, phoenixes and pure and benevolent beings.
