To Protect You
Something feels off today. Naruto has a gut feeling that something is going to go wrong. Maybe he’s overthinking it, but something just doesn’t feel right. Sasuke has invited Naruto out for a walk and it was something to distract Naruto from how he’s feeling so he accepts. But, despite the distraction, Naruto is still on edge.
“Are you feeling alright?” Sasuke asks.
Naruto shakes his head, “I just feel like something bad is going to happen.”
Sasuke acknowledges Naruto’s words, “I get it, I’ve been feeling the same way. It’s odd.”
Now that surprised Naruto. He didn’t think Sasuke would be feeling the same way he is but it made Naruto more on edge because if Sasuke feels that way too maybe something is actually wrong. Maybe he wasn’t making himself anxious for no reason.
Not even a few minutes after their conversation a burly man aggressively approaches them with a knife in hand. The man points the neck at Sasuke’s neck, Naruto at least knows that the man isn’t attacking Sasuke because he’s the prince since his identity is hidden by the cloak he wears when he goes out with Naruto.
Naruto stares in absolute horror. He wants to do something, he wants to help Sasuke get away safely. But he can’t do anything against a man with a knife when Naruto doesn’t even have any fighting experience.
“You two give me all of your money or I’ll slice both your necks open!” The muscular man threatens.
Naruto has a bit of money on him but not a whole lot. Sasuke, since he is a prince, has quite a bit of money on him. Naruto considers just giving the man all his money so the man will leave them alone.
Sasuke doesn’t pay any mind to the guy’s threat and insteads harshly kicks the mugger to the ground. The pure strength it takes to kick someone who’s that heavily built to the ground so effortlessly puts Naruto into awe,
The fall to the ground caused the man to lose his grip on his knife. Sasuke picks the knife up and twirls it around in his hand.
“You were saying?” Sasuke taunts.
The man scrambles off the ground as quick as he can and sprints away. He clearly wasn’t expecting to be going against someone of Sasuke’s strength.
“You got rid of that guy so easily!” Naruto commends, “You’re so strong.”
Sasuke has a small smile on his face in reaction to the praise, “Thanks.”
Naruto is in awe of Sasuke but also incredibly disappointed in himself. He wasn’t able to do anything to protect Sasuke. Not only is he Sasuke’s servant, he’s Sasuke’s boyfriend, but he was completely useless against that mugger. Sasuke notices Naruto’s sullen mood quickly.
“Hey, don’t worry, if that guy comes back, I can protect you from him,” Sasuke reassures.
Sasuke must think Naruto’s scared because of what just took place. Naruto thinks it’s sweet that Sasuke says he’ll protect him but he wishes he wasn’t so useless that he couldn’t protect or help Sasuke at all.
“That’s not it,” Naruto admits.
Sasuke furrows his brows, “That’s not it? Then what’s wrong?”
Naruto wraps his arms around himself, “I was completely useless throughout the whole situation. I couldn’t help you at all.”
“My love, you don’t need to protect me. I’m strong enough to protect both of us.”
Naruto scowls, “ I know that, but I want to be able to protect you.”
“Oh. I see.”
Sasuke wraps his arm around Naruto and kisses the blond on top of his head. Sasuke then asks,
“Would it make you feel better if you got trained to fight?”
Naruto nods rapidly, “Yes!”
Sasuke chuckles at Naruto’s enthusiasm, “I can get one of my warriors to train you.”
“You would do that for me?”
“Of course.”

“This is Kakashi,” Sasuke says to Naruto as he gestures to a masked gray haired man, “He’s one of the kingdom’s best warriors.
“I suppose you're the one I’m going to be training,” Kakashi presumes.
“That’s me,” Naruto replies.
Naruto’s extremely happy to be getting trained how to fight by someone so strong. Soon enough he’ll be able to protect Sasuke. He wants to be useful if they encounter another dangerous situation.
‘Do you have any fighting experience,” Kakashi questions.
“No, sir,” Naruto answers.
“You can just call me Kakashi.”
Naruto nods in acknowledgement. He waits patiently for the training lesson to start.
“Alright,” Kakashi starts, “I’ll begin by teaching you the basics.”
Warriors usually use swords to fight but they also require training with the fist fighting abilities in case of situations where they don’t have their sword for some reason. This is what Kakashi is currently teaching Naruto.
First thing Kakashi does is explain to Naruto the proper stance. This way Naruto will be able to move around easily while he’s fighting.
“Avoid tensing your body, if you do it hinders your ability to move around smoothly and easily,” Kakashi advises.
Naruto listens and relaxes his body. Kakashi helps Naruto fix a couple mistakes with his stance before telling him that he needs to keep his weight on the balls of his feet. And Kakashi explains to Naruto that he needs to bend his knees slightly so he can maneuver easily. Naruto listens intently to the warrior’s instructions and makes sure to keep his fists level with his cheeks.
“Good,” Kakashi states. “Now, throw a punch at me.”
Naruto’s a bit surprised by how fast they got into the actual fighting but does as the warrior says and throws a punch as hard as he can at Kakashi. Kakashi effortlessly catches his arm before it can come in contact with his face. Naruto stares at Kakashi in awe. This warrior really is amazing!
“If you exhale quickly as you throw a punch it will increase the speed of it,” Kakashi tells Naruto.
Naruto doesn’t think he would be able to get a punch in against Kakashi even if he used that tip but he still keeps the advice in his mind for later.
Kakashi then teaches him about throwing hooks. Hooks are powerful punches that you throw from the side. Your opponent won’t see this type of punch coming and it will catch them off guard.
Kakashi explains to Naruto that if wants to catch someone off guard with a hook he should put his hands up so it looks like he wants to stop fighting and then throw a hook. The warrior says to aim for the cheek or jaw.
They spent their training with Naruto practicing hooks. Once they’re done Naruto is sure he can at least throw a decent hook although he might need to work on his strength a bit more.

“I’ve got some news,” Sasuke informs Naruto.
Naruto’s interest piqued, “What is it?”
“Princess Hinata and Sakura are coming for a visit.”
Naruto nearly faints out of pure excitement. It’s been some time since he’s seen Sakura and he’s excited to get to know Princess Hinata more as well.
“When?!” Naruto demands to know.
Sasuke chuckles at Naruto’s impatience, “They will be arriving this evening and they will be staying for a week and a half.”
“That’s great!” Naruto exclaims.
That evening the two girls arrive in the carriage they left in. Naruto waves at them excitedly as they exit the carriage. Princess Hinata shyly waves and Sakura matches Naruto’s energy with the wave. The two girls wake up to them.
“Naruto, your highness, it’s so nice to be back,” Sakura says to greet them.
“Yes, I’m glad to be here as well,” Princess Hinata adds.
“A visit from the Hyuga Kingdom is always welcome,” Sasuke says.
Naruto nods enthusiastically. It feels as if Sakura and Hinata have been gone forever and Naruto’s so happy to finally see them again. Although the blond and HInata aren’t really close, Naruto hopes they can become better friends with this visit.
“Sorry about Itachi not being here to greet you. He has kingly matters to attend to,” Sasuke apologizes sincerely.
“That’s alright, I understand,” Hinata replies.
Naruto notices that Hinata has stopped stuttering like she did when they last spoke. She sounds a bit more confident in herself. Sakura must be being a good influence on her, Naruto smiles at the thought.
“How about we go out to eat ramen to catch up?” Naruto suggests.
Sasuke is unsurprised by Naruto’s suggestion since it is the blond’s favorite food and always suggests they should get that to eat when they go out.
“I’ll go,” Sakura answers. “Princess Hinata, what about you?”
Hinata gives them a small smile, “I would like to go as well.”
They look at Sasuke and he shrugs, “I’ll go too.”
At the ramen place they find a place for all of them to sit and take their seats on stools. Naruto sits between Sakura and Sasuke and Hinata sits beside Sakura. They get their ramen and as they eat they converse with each other.
“So,” Sakura starts, “What’s been going on with you guys?”
“Oh! I’ve started learning how to fight,” Naruto responds.
Hinata seems to gain enough courage to join in on the conversation, “What made you decide to start?”
“Some guy tried to mug us,” Sasuke answered for Naruto.
This surprised both Hinata and Sakura greatly. They stare at them in shock for a moment.
“Thank goodness you two are okay,” Sakura puts forth.
“I took him down easy. He was quite weak,” Sasuke replies.
“Yeah, he was amazing, but I figured if something like that happens again I want to be ready for it,” Naruto explains.
Sakura and Hinata nod in understanding. Naruto is curious about what they’ve been doing though.
Sakura blushes as she replies, “Hinata and I started dating.”
Hinata’s cheeks tinge red as she nods at the statement. Naruto smiles at them before glancing at Sasuke silently asking the prince if he can tell them. Sasuke nods and Naruto says,
“That’s great, I’m happy for you two. Sasuke and I have started dating too.”
“Yeah, we’ve been dating for a while now,” Sasuke reaffirms.
Sakura and Hinata are a bit surprised by this but they are ultimately supportive of their relationship. After eating their ramen they decide they should call it a night and head back to the castle.

They get back to the castle, Naruto and Sasuke show Sakura and Hinata to their room. After the girls are settled they go to Sasuke’s room to spend some alone time together.
On the bed Naruto straddles Sasuke. He traces Sasuke’s lips with his finger and leans in for a soft kiss.
Against Sasuke’s lips, Naruto whispers, “You’re so pretty, darling.”
Sasuke wraps his arms around Naruto and deepens the kiss. Their tongues fight for dominance. Sasuke’s fingers rake through Naruto’s hair then fall down to hold Naruto’s face.
They pull apart and Sasuke moves to suck onto Naruto’s neck leaving a hickey. Naruto tilts his head to give the other more access.
“Ahh, that feels nice,” Naruto moans.
Sasuke moves down to Naruto’s shoulder to start leaving kisses. Naruto arches in pleasure.
“Mmm,” Naruto whimpers.
Sasuke then pulls his lips away and smashes it against Naruto’s. They make out roughly. When they pull apart Sasuke looks at Naruto with a hungry gaze.
“Can I fuck you?” Sasuke asks bluntly.
“Please,” Naruto pleads.
Sasuke grins at the response and goes back to hungrily kissing the other. He roughly takes the blond’s shirt and starts kissing along Naruto’s chest. The prince takes out a knife and starts to lightly trace it on Naruto’s body. The blond arches in pleasure while moaning.
“You like that, huh?” Sasuke taunts.
“Mhm,” Naruto meekly affirms.
Sasuke is satisfied with that answer. The prince then takes Naruto’s pants off and his own shirt as well. Once he takes Naruto’s underwear off he begins to tease the blond by kissing the other’s thighs.
“S-Sasuke! Just put in already!” Naruto begs.
Sasuke doesn’t stop pressing kisses against the other’s thighs, “You’re going to have to do better than that to convince me.”
“Sasuke! P-Please fuck me! I want to feel you inside me!” Naruto whines.
Sasuke smirks, “Can’t say no to that.”
Sasuke takes his own pants off and underwear off and pins Naruto roughly to the bed. Naruto spreads his legs to accommodate the other. Sasuke pushes his dick inside Naruto. Naruto holds onto Sasuke as the prince enters him.
Sasuke takes hold of his knife again once he’s fully inside of Naruto. He makes sharp cuts into Naruto’s tan skin making the blond moan.
Sasuke pushes in and out of Naruto roughly and violently. Naruto and Sasuke’s minds are hazy with pleasure.
“F-Faster!” Naruto demands.
Sasuke complies and picks up the pace. He continues to make marks on Naruto’s skin.
“You’re doing so good for me, my love,” Sasuke praises.
Naruto keens at the praise. Sasuke makes his pace even faster and more brutal each second. Naruto feels so good that he can barely speak.
“N-Ngh, S-Sa-suke,” Naruto manages to get out.
Sasuke grins mercilessly, “Hm? Can’t speak, baby?”
Naruto needs to tell Sasuke, “S-Sasuke, I-I’m close.”
“Already?” Sasuke asks with smugness drenched in his tone.
Naruto turns his face away from Sasuke, “F-Fuck you.”
“Ha, no, I would rather fuck you,” Sasuke retorts as he uses his hand to bring Naruto’s face back towards him.
Soon after that Naruto cums. It takes Sasuke a bit longer but eventually he cums as well.
“Good job, my love,” Sasuke commends.
Naruto smiles tiredly at the praise. He then cuddles up to Sasuke. Sasuke pulls him close and they wrap their arms around each other so they can cuddle each other.

Naruto decided to prepare a meal for the guests, Sakura and Hinata, and for Sasuke too. Since Sasuke wouldn’t be able to join them for a meal if it was for breakfast or dinner Naruto figured he should make them lunch.
He spent several hours preparing a meal. He wanted it to be perfect because he wanted them to love it. Since Naruto has finished making lunch he carefully takes the platters of food to Sasuke’s room where they’re going to eat. It’s okay if they make a bit of a mess in Sasuke’s room because Naruto will make sure to clean up any mess they make.
“It looks delicious,” Hinata acknowledges.
Naruto smiles, “Thank you, hopefully it will taste as good as it looks.”
Sasuke immediately starts eating. The prince is used to eating Naruto’s food and has often showered Naruto with compliments with his skill with it so Naruto knows the prince doesn’t doubt his cooking ability. Hinata and Sakura begin to eat not too long after Sasuke.
Naruto eats his own plate of food and he thinks it tastes okay but he’s a bit nervous about whether the others will think the same way or not.
“It’s really good,” Sakura declares.
“Yeah, your cooking always tastes good,” Sasuke concurs.
Hinata nods enthusiastically in agreement. This makes Naruto so happy. To know that they actually enjoy his food.
He’s always struggled with not having friends growing up and he wants the people who are in his life now to know that he truly appreciates them. And by doing things like cooking for them he’s trying to show them that. If they didn’t like the food it would be like Naruto failed in his attempt of showing them how much he cares.
“I’m glad you guys like it,” Naruto says in a genuine voice.
They’re done eating food, so they all come to an agreement to watch a movie. Naruto gets them a bunch of candy, popcorn, and drinks so they can have a slumber party.
The genre of movie they end up picking is horror. Naruto’s excited but nervous since he gets easily scared during horror movies.
Sasuke gets them extra blankets and pillows. They make a makeshift bed on the floor. Then they take their places on the bed. Sasuke’s next to Naruto with his arm wrapped around the blond’s shoulder. Hinata next to Sakura with her head on the pink haired girl’s shoulder. They start the movie.
“Why would you run up the stairs instead of outside?!” Naruto shouts at the television.
“You’re just going to reach a dead end!” Sasuke adds.
“She fell!” Hinata exclaims.
“Don’t just lay there! Get back up and run away!” Sakura yells.
They enjoy making fun of the main character of this movie. It’s a girl who clearly doesn’t think anything she does through. Even Hinata joins in on their ranting at the girl.
When a jumpscare comes up Naruto flinches then hides his face against Sasuke’s chest. The prince doesn’t seem to mind and he tightens his hold of the blond to comfort his boyfriend.
Eventually, the movie ends and they’re bored again so they begin to binge watch horror movies. Everytime Naruto gets scared he ends up using Sasuke to shield his face because he can’t bear to watch something on the screen.
At some point Sasuke has to leave for the royal dinner and Naruto has to use their shared blanket for support for his dear until the prince finally comes back.
The sun sets and the night has begun. Both Sakura and Hinata are already asleep cuddling each other. Naruto is held tight by Sasuke and he closes his eyes and drifts off to sleep.

The next time Naruto trains with Kakashi they spar against each other. Unsurprisingly, Naruto never manages to get a single hit in against the skilled warrior. Naruto’s been practicing the punches and hooks like Kakashi taught him but nothing seems to get past the masked man.
A problem of Naruto is hesitancy when it comes to fighting Kakashi. He can’t help it! He can’t randomly attack one of the top warriors without being a little hesitant.
“Don’t hesitate. If you want to be able to protect anyone, you can’t hesitate,” Kakashi harshly tells Naruto, "The moment you hesitate, the person you’re protecting is dead.”
Naruto is taken aback by Kakashi’s words. The warrior has a point but Naruto didn’t expect Kakashi to tell him in such a blunt manner. But that is to be expected of a warrior.
Naruto nods. Kakashi is correct. If the blond hesitates, the person he’s protecting will be dead. After that he attacks with a large decrease in his hesitancy.
Kakashi gets Naruto’s arms trapped and he tries to fight the masked man with his legs to no avail. Naruto roughly lands on the floor.
Naruto quickly gets himself up from the floor and prepares himself for another round of sparring. Kakashi nods in approval for him getting up so fast and being ready for another fight.
They spar for hours. Naruto never wins a single round against the warrior. The blond feels a bit hopeless about if he’ll ever be able to hold his own against Kakashi.
“You’re working hard, I can tell you’re getting a bit better each day you train,” Kakashi compliments. “And you don’t give up, that’s a skill that not a lot of people have. You’ll become strong.”
Naruto feels better by Kakashi’s words. The warrior has seen improvement with Naruto and that means Naruto is getting stronger. He’ll become as strong as he needs to be eventually. He just needs to be patient.

Naruto is resting while cuddling Sasuke when his stomach rumbles. Naruto ignores it. He’s used to being hungry and he doesn’t want to get up and make something at the moment.
“Have you eaten dinner?” Sasuke queries.
“No, but it’s fine, I would rather cuddle with you,” Naruto answers.
Sasuke frowns, “Did you eat lunch then?”
Naruto avoids eye contact with Sasuke. He was too busy cleaning throughout the castle to have time to eat at all today. He’s allowed to have breaks to eat but he spent them cleaning because he wanted places inside the castle to look nice.
“No, but I haven’t been hungry. I’ll make sure to eat something tomorrow,” Naruto reassures.
Sasuke only seems to get more upset, “Did you eat breakfast?”
Naruto doesn’t want to lie but he also doesn’t want to tell Sasuke the truth, “I know I haven’t eaten much today but I’ve been busy. I’ll make time for it tomorrow.”
Sasuke stares at him with an unimpressed expression, “That’s a no then.”
“...yeah.”
“Stay here. I’ll be right back.”
Sasuke then exits his room leaving Naruto alone. He hopes he didn't make Sasuke mad at him. It truly did merely slip his mind that he needed to eat throughout the day. In the past it was usual for Naruto to go days with barely eating anything so it doesn’t seem like all that big of a deal to him.
Naruto tries not to dwell on Sasuke’s anger towards him and decides to read one of Sasuke’s books on the prince’s nightstand. A half hour passes before Sasuke enters his own bedroom again. The prince is holding a plate with a meal on it.
“I made you dinner,” Sasuke explains.
Naruto smiles at Sasuke in relief. He thought Sasuke was mad at him and that was why he left, but the other was actually making him dinner.
“Thank you, darling. I appreciate it,” Naruto tells Sasuke sincerely.
Sasuke’s face tinges red at Naruto’s gratitude towards him. Naruto thinks it’s cute. Sasuke hands him the plate of food and gets back into bed to cuddle Naruto.
“Are you sure you don’t mind me eating in your bed?” Naruto questions.
Sasuke waves him off, “It’s fine if you get food on my bed as long as you’re eating.”
Naruto then begins to eat the meal Sasuke prepared for him. He’s a bit surprised by how good it is. He didn’t know Sasuke was such a good cook!
“This is so good! I didn’t know you could cook so well!” Naruto praises.
Sasuke gives him a small smile, “Yeah, I learned how to cook from my mother.”
Naruto frowns. He’s never heard much about Sasuke’s mother from Sasuke. He doesn’t know much about what their relationship was like before she died. Although, from Sasuke’s tone when he mentioned his mother he can guess that they had a good relationship with each other.
Naruto doesn’t want to make Sasuke uncomfortable but he can’t help but ask, “What was your mother like?”
Sasuke isn’t put off by the question, “She was a kind woman but she was always getting sick. She was a frail woman but she didn’t let that stop her from doing all the things she wanted to do. I always admired her, even today.”
“Your mother sounds like an amazing woman,” Naruto compliments.
Sasuke nods, “She was. If only she could’ve been healthy I’m sure she would’ve accomplished great things.”
Naruto notices that Sasuke seems a bit sullen.
“Sorry, I don’t mean to bring up sensitive subjects,” Naruto apologizes.
“It’s fine. I think it’s nice to remember her,” Sasuke responds.
Naruto doesn’t say anything more on the subject. He finishes the rest of his dinner then lies down to get some sleep.
“Good night, darling,” Naruto says to Sasuke.
“Good night, my love,” Sasuke replies.

Naruto is extremely excited for today. It’s Sasuke’s twentieth birthday. Naruto had the idea of bringing his boyfriend breakfast in bed so he spoke with Itachi about it and the king thought it was a good idea and even offered to help make it.
Sakura and Hinata also offered their help. As well as making the breakfast they make a chocolate cake too. With the cooking and baking they end up making a bit of a mess in the Royal kitchen. Naruto will clean it up later but it will be worth it because it’s for Sasuke.
Naruto carries the platter with Sasuke’s breakfast on it and everyone heads to Sasuke’s bedroom. Itachi opens his little brother’s bedroom’s door and everyone enters the room. Itachi gently shakes his brother awake. Sasuke groggily opens his eyes and looks at the people in his room with bewilderment.
Everyone smiles and exclaims, “Happy Birthday!”
“That’s today?’ Sasuke inquires.
Naruto chuckles, “Yes.”
Sasuke pulls himself up to be in a sitting position on his bed. Naruto hands Sasuke the platter with the meal they made for him.
“We all made you breakfast,” Naruto informs Sasuke.
Sasuke lets a small smile slip onto his face. It’s rare to see Sasuke smile so everyone inwardly cheers in victory.
Everyone besides Sasuke has already eaten breakfast so they simply let Sasuke enjoy his food. After the prince finishes eating, the presents are brought out for Sasuke to open.
Itachi’s gift to Sasuke is a book that the prince offhandedly mentioned one day. Sakura and Princess Hinata got him a new suit. Naruto can’t help but admire the expensive fabric of the suit. These royals are so rich!
Princess Hinata and Sakura then go on a walk to re explore the area since they haven’t been back in a while. Itachi has work he has to do because he’s the king so he has to take his leave as well.
This leaves Naruto and Sasuke alone together. Naruto’s slightly nervous to give his gift to Sasuke. He’s worried Sasuke might think of Naruto’s present to him as dumb or ugly.
Naruto takes a deep breath and takes out a small gray box and hands it to Sasuke, “Your gift. Be honest if you like it or not.”
“I’m sure I’ll like it,” Sasuke reassures.
“Don’t be sure until you open it.”
Sasuke doesn’t seem to have changed his mind about being sure he’ll like it but he complies and opens the box. Inside the box is a silver gray crescent moon necklace. Naruto has seen Sasuke wear jewelry before but he’s still worried that his boyfriend might not like it.
Naruto looks at the floor, “I was looking for a gift for you and I thought this would look nice on you. It’s okay if you don’t like it.”
“I love it,” Sasuke states firmly.
Naruto’s head goes up so fast he almost gets whiplash, “You like it?”
“Yeah, I think it’s lovely.”
Naruto smiles out of pure happiness, “That’s great!”
The two of them spend the day together to celebrate Sasuke’s birthday. Since it’s the prince’s birthday he gets to decide which places they go.
They end up spending time at the Uchiha’s private lake splashing and swimming around there with each other. They challenge each other to swimming races which each of them win some and lose some. They fight, playfully, in the water and laugh with each other.
After spending time at the lake, Sasuke and Naruto find a place to eat at. Naruto refuses to let Sasuke pay since it’s Sasuke’s birthday despite Sasuke being rich and them being at a cheap food place.
Sasuke isn’t used to cheap food but surprisingly he really enjoys it. Sasuke is wearing the necklace Naruto gifted to him and it makes the blond so happy to see it on his boyfriend.
That’s how their whole day goes. Sasuke choosing where to go and Naruto happily doing whatever he can to make this the best day he can for the other. It’s an enjoyable day and when they go back to the castle they’re in a good mood from such a nice day with each other.

Naruto is working out at the castle’s private workout room. Itachi gave him permission to use it. The blond can’t help but wonder what kind of room this castle doesn’t have. It’s truly amazing the variety of rooms there is.
Naruto started working out here to help with his training with Kakashi. He wants so desperately to become stronger. It’s so frustrating how weak he is currently.
That’s why he’s been coming here for the last few days. He’s working on his strength by doing a multitude of exercises and he’s working on his speed by going on runs.
Sometimes Sasuke will join him and give Naruto tips or spar with him. This is one of those times.
“C’mon you’ve got to hit harder than that,” Sasuke tells Naruto.
“But I don’t want to hurt you,” Naruto argues.
“I can handle a couple of hits. I’ve been training with this kind of thing since I was a kid.”
Naruto relents and obliges with what Sasuke wants and begins to start throwing hits with his full strength. The prince can still take Naruto down easily but Naruto’s fighting isn’t as pathetic as it was before.
Sasuke’s been encouraging Naruto the whole time he’s been trying to get stronger and the blond is so grateful for his boyfriend. Naruto hasn’t been working towards getting stronger for all that long but he’s getting less weak each day. If he keeps working as hard as he can he’lll become a formidable opponent eventually.
Training with Sasuke and Kakashi has helped him by an incredible amount. They’ve both encouraged Naruto to push his limits and made him work hard.
Naruto attempts a kick against Sasuke only to be proven that was a huge mistake as the prince picks his leg up and forces Naruto to fall to the floor.
“Ow,” Naruto groans.
Sasuke laughs, “You’ve got to do better than that.”
Naruto knows Sasuke is right so he quickly picks himself up from the floor and gets himself ready for another fight.
They spar for another two hours before Naruto is too exhausted to fight for any longer. Sasuke gets them both glasses of water. Naruto gulps the entire glass down in a second because of how dehydrated he is.
“Damn. Do you want another glass?” Sasuke asks.
Naruto nods and Sasuke leaves to get another glass of water. It doesn’t take long for the black haired prince to get back. He hands the glass of water to Naruto.
“Drink it slowly this time,” Sasuke advises.
“Okay,” Naruto replies.
He drinks the water slowly this time. After getting some water in his system he feels better. Naruto goes to put his glass away in the kitchen and then heads to his bedroom to get some much needed rest.

It’s the last day of Sakura and Hinata’s visit so they decide to do something special to say goodbye. They choose to spend the entire day together.
Both Princess Hinata and Sasuke have to disguise their identities to avoid being recognized. Throughout the day they go to a variety of different places.
They go shopping at thrift shops and family owned businesses. It amuses both Sakura and Naruto how the royals have never seen places like these in their life.
“This place is a bit small,” Sasuke mentions.
“Yeah,” Hinata agrees.
Naruto chuckles, “I’d say it’s normal sized.”
Despite not being used to cheap places or things neither royal is spoiled or rude. They’re respectful with people and listen to what Sakura and Naruto want to do or go.
They eat at a cheap restaurant for lunch. Sasuke isn’t so unused to this kind of place as Hinata is because Naruto often brings him to places like this.
Even though she’s not used to it, Hinata seems to enjoy herself in these new places. Sakura’s happy to be visiting where she used to live so they’re both happy with how they’re last day here is going. Naruto can admit that it's been enjoyable to spend time with them.
Later in the day Sakura insists they go to a karaoke place. Hinata’s hesitant but ultimately agrees to it. Naruto agrees easily as it sounds like a lot of fun. Sasuke agrees to go as long as he doesn’t have to sing.
That afternoon they find out that Naruto is an absolutely horrible singer. Honestly, it’s a surprise no one’s ears bled from Naruto singing. Naruto’s aware he’s not a good singer so he purposefully went up to sing first to make Sakura and Hinata feel better about singing in front of an audience.
Sakura goes up to sing next. She’s a decent singer and she sings with confidence. Everyone claps when the pink haired girl is done singing. Hinata goes up last and seems as if she’s about to faint from nervousness.
Naruto encourages her, “Hey, I’m sure you’ll do great.”
“Yeah, and it’s okay if you’re not a good singer, this is just for fun,” Sakura adds.
Hinata gives them a small smile and slowly walks up to the stage. The princess’s singing is actually really good. She had no reason to be shy because she did amazing. Everyone claps and cheers once she finishes singing.
After that they all leave the karaoke place and go back to the castle. When they get back it’s time for the two girls to leave. Before they enter their carriage to leave Hinata speaks to Sasuke and Naruto,
“Remember, you’re always welcome at the Hyuga castle.”
“We’ll come visit sometimes,” Sasuke responds.
“Yeah,” Naruto reaffirms.

The next time Naruto trains with Kakashi the masked man introduces him to sword fighting. Although Naruto is going to begin learning how to fight with a sword they will still find time to work on his fist fighting abilities.
It makes sense for Kakashi to want to teach Naruto sword fighting as that is the main way warriors fight. Fist fighting is only a last resort if they don’t have their sword on them.
Since Naruto doesn’t have a sword of his own Kakashi lets Naruto borrow one of his. Naruto’s surprised by how heavy a real sword is.
Kakashi helps Naruto figure out how to hold the sword. Naruto struggles to position his hands correctly on the sword but he tries his best.
“When you strike your sword, you should stab at the sky and bring your left hand past your eye,” Kakashi informs Naruto, “Then bring the sword down.”
Naruto does what the warriors said to and stabs the sword towards the sky and sharply brings the sword down.
“Use your right hand to guide the blade and use your left hand to set the force into the blade,” Kakashi tells the blond.
Naruto heeds Kakashi’s instructions and he feels as if he’s getting the hang of this.
“Place your left foot behind your right foot,” Kakashi instructs.
Naruto figures Kakashi is focusing on his foot work now. The blond complies to Kakashi’s directions and places his left foot behind his right foot.
“When you strike your sword, push with your left foot and slide your right foot and raise your sword. Then bring your left foot back into position and strike,” Kakashi advises.
Naruto practices what Kakashi tells him to do. He follows each direction and then goes back into position and strikes his sword.
“That was good,” Kakashi praises. “Now, when striking, keep your right arm straight and bend it when it reaches your head.”
The whole training session Naruto practices his sword strikes and Kakashi gives him tips and advice about what to do.

Today is Naruto’s birthday. Sasuke’s been pampering the blond all morning. Naruto is shocked to realize that twenty years of his life has passed but he’s happy to think about how much has changed since his last birthday.
Itachi even got him a gift! Naruto was surprised but grateful to get a gift from the king. The gift was an expensive shirt that Naruto doesn’t know if he’ll ever be able to wear because of how expensive and beautiful it is. The embroidery is gorgeous and the fabric is one of the most expensive kinds.
Sasuke has given him the day off work and the prince insisted that he do all the work instead. Besides that Naruto and Sasuke spend the day together.
“So, you’ve started doing sword training,” Sasuke questions.
Naruto grins, “I have!”
“Do you have a sword of your own?”
“No, but that’s okay. I’ve been borrowing one of Kakashi’s swords.”
“I figured. Come with me.”
Naruto follows Sasuke curiously. They arrive at Sasuke’s bedroom where the prince gets a wrapped gift from under his bed. The way it’s wrapped it’s blatantly obvious that it’s a sword.
“I know, it’s obvious that it’s a sword. I wanted it to be a surprise, but I didn’t know how to wrap it in a way that would hide that it’s a sword,” Sasuke says sheepishly.
Naruto chuckles, “That’s okay. This is amazing.”
Naruto unwraps the sword and is stunned by the beauty of this silver sword. It’s clean and shiny. The hilt is engraved by strikingly beautiful designs. There’s flowers and even a sun engraved into the metal.
He gently puts the sword down and hurries over to Sasuke to hold the prince in a tight hug. When he’s done hugging his boyfriend he captures Sasuke’s lips into a deep kiss.
When they pull apart Sasuke smirks, “I figure that means you like it.”
Naruto softly smiles, “I really do! This is truly a beautiful gift.”
“I almost forgot,” Sasuke adds, “I also got a sheath for the sword. I didn’t wrap it though.”
Sasuke gets another thing out from underneath his bed. It’s a black sheath for Naruto’s new sword.
Naruto immediately puts the sheath on. This sheath carries the sword across his back at a slanted angle. Personally, Naruto thinks it makes him look badass.
Naruto loves this sword so much he spent several hours that day practicing sword strikes with it. He never would’ve imagined he would own a sword let alone one this beautiful!
Sasuke uses his own sword to spar against Naruto for a majority of the day. The prince doesn’t seem to mind and even enjoys doing the sparring sessions with Naruto.
Naruto still needs to work on his sword skills so currently he’s an easy opponent to defeat but he’ll keep working and at some point he’ll be good enough to be equal in strength to Sasuke.
As long as Naruto keeps working out and practicing his sword skills he’ll become good enough to protect Sasuke.

Sasuke woke up feeling ill today so Naruto is looking after him. Naruto has informed Itachi that Sasuke will be bed bound for the entire day to hopefully get better. At the moment Naruto is making the prince something to eat.
Sasuke took care of Naruto so well when he was sick and Naruto wants to return the favor. Naruto finishes preparing a meal for his boyfriend and goes to Sasuke’s room with a platter with soup and a glass of water on it. He also made sure to bring cold medicine too.
Naruto’s glad he’s not the one who has to drink that medicine, it tastes horrible. But he had to admit that it did the trick, he only stayed sick for a day. Naruto enters Sasuke’s bedroom. Sasuke weakly turns his body while on his best so he can face Naruto.
“I brought you some food,” Naruto murmurs.
Sasuke groggily makes himself sit up on his bed. Naruto sets the platter down onto Sasuke’s lap before joining the prince in bed.
“Did you eat something?” Sasuke inquires in a scratchy voice.
“I ate earlier,” Naruto answers.
Sasuke nods in approval and begins to eat his food. When he’s done eating he drinks the medicine and somehow does it without gagging.
Naruto gapes at Sasuke, “You drank that crap so easily.”
Sasuke chuckles in a hoarse voice, “It’s not the first time I’ve had to drink it. I’ve sort of just gotten used to it.”
A majority of the day Sasuke and Naruto simply cuddle with each other. Sasuke sleeps through most of the day and Naruto rakes his hand through his boyfriend’s black hair.
The next time Naruto tries to get up to make Sasuke lunch the prince doesn’t allow him to. Sasuke holds tightly onto Naruto’s waist making him unable to escape.
“Sweetheart, c’mon you’ve got to let me go so I can make you lunch,” Naruto urges.
“I don’t want lunch, I want you,” Sasuke argues.
Naruto sighs and relents, “Fine, but you have to let me go when it’s time for dinner.”
Sasuke doesn’t respond but looks proud of himself for being able to keep Naruto from leaving. Thankfully, when it’s time for dinner Sasuke is sound asleep and doesn’t notice when Naruto slips out of bed to make dinner. However, when Naruto comes back he sees that Sasuke is awake and is pouting.
“You left,” Sasuke grumbles.
Naruto lets out a soft laugh, “I did, I needed to make us dinner.”
Sasuke seems to feel better now that Naruto joined him in bed again. The two of them eat their dinner together which isn’t something they usually do since Sasuke usually eats dinner with Itachi but it’s nice that they can enjoy the evening and eat together.

Sasuke leaves the kingdom for a visit to an ally kingdom. This causes a problem.
“Naruto?” Itachi starts.
“Yes, your majesty?” Naruto responds.
Naruto isn’t sure what the king wants but the blond has gotten used to being around Itachi so he no longer gets nervous around him.
“Could you help me with something? Itachi queries.
Now Naruto is bewildered. What could the king possibly need from him? He’s only a servant, how can he be of help to the king?
“From me?” Naruto asks with genuine confusion.
“Yes,” Itachi replies, “I need you to groom Sasuke’s horse, Copper.”
Ah, that makes sense. As Sasuke’s personal servant it’s Naruto’s job to take care of the prince’s horse while he is away. But Naruto isn’t sure he’s suited for this job.
“I’m not sure it’s a good idea for me to do it,” Naruto admits.
“Why not?” Itachi inquires.
“I don’t really know much about horses nor do I know anything about grooming them.
“Well, you’re the only one I’ve got left to do it. Copper got aggressive and scares all the horse stable workers away.”
Naruto frowns. Copper is a fierce spirit and he doesn’t think that’s going to change even if he’s the one taking care of the horse.
“Doesn’t that make it worse if I try to do it?” Naruto asks. “As I said I don’t know a whole lot about horses.”
“Sasuke likes you so maybe Copper might get along with you,” Itachi explains.
Naruto blankly stares at Itachi, “I’m pretty sure that’s not how that works.”
“Just give it a try,” Itachi urges.
Naruto sighs, “Fine.”
“Also, I’ll get one of the horse stable workers to guide you through it.”
“Good idea.”
That’s how Naruto ends up in the horse stables. He’s still unsure about this whole idea. He doesn’t know a thing about horses. The horse stable workers who’s going to be guiding Naruto is a brown haired guy that looks to be a bit older than Naruto.
“I hear you don’t have any experience taking care of horses,” The worker mentions.
“Yeah, not sure how much help I’ll be here,” Naruto sheepishly tells the brown haired man.
“You’ll be fine.”
They approach Copper’s stable. If a horse could look grumpy it would be definitely be how Copper looks. Maybe he’s upset because Sasuke is away. Copper looks at Naruto almost curiously. Naruto smiles at the horse.
“Let him smell your hand,” The horse stable worker orders.
Naruto does as he says and holds his hand out for the horse to smell. Naruto’s apprehensive because he knows Copper isn’t the friendliest to people. Copper nuzzles against his hand and he feels his heart melt. What an adorable horse.
The horse stable worker is reassured, “I suppose King Itachi was correct.”
After that the worker helps Naruto with is the steps of grooming Copper. First Naruto uses a lead rope to secure Copper. Next the blond is given a curry comb to loosen the excess mud and dirt on the horse. After that he’s given a stiff brush to remove the dirt and mud.
Then he’s given a soft brush to remove remaining dust and to groom sensitive areas. To clean the horse’s face, Naruto is given a sponge that he uses on the horse. He’s given a wide toothed comb to brush out Copper’s mane and tail.
Then the last thing the horse stable worker walks him through is cleaning Copper’s hooves with a hoofpick.

Sasuke was gone for two weeks and it left Naruto feeling lonely. The blond isn’t used to being away from the other for this long which is why he’s so excited that today is the day that Sasuke comes back.
Despite it being quite early in the morning Naruto has already showered and gotten dressed. He rushes out of his bedroom and towards the outside of the castle where Sasuke will be arriving. Itachi arrives to wait for his brother a bit after Naruto.
“I see you're excited to see Sasuke,” Itachi teases.
“Of course I am. He’s been gone for two weeks. I’ve been all alone,” Naruto grumbles.
Itachi chuckles, “I’m sure he missed you too.”
The carriage that Sasuke is in comes into view and Naruto feels his excitement spike. The last two weeks really haven’t been great since Naruto had no one to spend time with. The carriage stops and out comes Sasuke. Sasuke comes up to Naruto and Itachi.
“Welcome back,” Itachi says.
“Glad to be back,” Sasuke replies.
Naruto wants to hug Sasuke but they’re out in public. It’s looked down upon to be with someone of lower class than you and the blond doesn’t want people to think badly about the prince. Especially since the rumors about Sasuke attacking servants and being really aggressive have just died down.
Itachi ruffles his little brother’s hair and goes back inside to attend to other things. Sasuke and Naruto walk to the inside of the castle together.
“Was it fun? Visiting the Yamanaka Kingdom?” Naruto questions, interested in what Sasuke has been up to.
“No, it was horrible,” Sasuke answers.
Naruto frowns, “Really?”
“Yes, too much social interaction. Those people are so extroverted.”
Naruto lets out a laugh. He should’ve expected this. Sasuke has never been good at being social.
“You made me worried that something bad happened,” Naruto scolds despite still slightly laughing.
“Something bad did happen. I had to make conversation!” Sasuke counters.
Naruto smiles at Sasuke’s nonsense. He missed this. When they’re in the castle they go into Sasuke’s room so the prince can unpack. Although, Naruto does most of the actual unpacking because it’s his job. Once he’s done Naruto can’t help but think Sasuke might be tired from the long trip.
“Do you need to rest?” Naruto asks.
“No, come here I want to kiss you,” Sasuke states.
Naruto does as the other wants and joins Sasuke on the prince’s bed. Naruto straddles Sasuke’s waist and gent;y cups the prince’s face and leans in for a deep kiss.
Sasuke begins to give Naruto fluttering kisses on his neck, “I missed you so much.”
“Mm,” Naruto moans. “I missed you too.”
Naruto starts to grind onto Sasuke. Sasuke’s hands tighten on Naruto’s hips. Sasuke groans at the friction. After a while Sasuke flips their positions so Sasuke can hover over Naruto.
“Let me have my way with you?” Sasuke asks.
Naruto nods eagerly. Sasuke then goes back in for a deep and passionate kiss. The prince hastily takes the blond’s shirt off and starts kissing down Naruto’s chest as he whimpers and moans.
Sasuke takes a knife out of his pocket to start carving into Naruto’s skin. Naruto can’t help his moaning with the knife against him. Man, he missed Sasuke so much.
They go back to smashing the lips together desperately as if they need it to live. They wrestle each other’s clothes off to get more skin on skin contact because they want to feel each other.
Naruto feels the cold metal of the knife against his skin in all sorts of places. It feels good and so does looking at Sasuke’s pleased expression.
And when Sasuke finally puts his dick in Naruto they both feel incredibly good. As Sasuke pounds into Naruto under him, he plays with the knife and gives the blond hickeys practically everywhere.
The sex lasts a long time. Both of them wanted to keep touching each other forever. Eventually, they both cum and they collapse against each other in exhaustion.
Naruto laughs at a thought in his head.
“What is it?” Sasuke questions.
“Only a year ago I would’ve never believed I would be sleeping with a prince let alone dating one,” Naruto answers.
Sasuke rolls off Naruto so he can pull the blond close so they can cuddle, “Well, believe it because I love you.”
Naruto cuddles closer to the other, “I love you too.”
That’s the last thing Naruto said before he drifted off to sleep. Sasuke did as well not too long after him.

After many training lessons and working out everyday for several months Naruto has improved significantly. He’s no longer the weak man he was. This is proven with his current training with Kakashi.
Despite Kakashi’s experience and superior strength, Naruto is now capable of getting in a few hits while fistfighting him. Also Naruto can manage to give Kakashi a bit of trouble when they sword fight too.
Kakashi is proud of how far the blond has come, “You’ve been working hard, it shows. You’re much stronger than you were when I first started training you.”
Naruto smiles with pride. His hard work is paying off! He’s finally not the weak person he was before.
However, even though Naruto can be a good enough opponent for Kakashi, he’s still not capable of taking the masked man down. Naruto has to keep up his training and work harder to accomplish the goal of defeating Kakashi in a fight.
It’s even more difficult for Naruto to defeat Sasuke. The prince is extremely skilled with his fighting with his sword as well as with his hands.
Sasuke spars with Naruto and although Naruto is stronger than he was, Sasuke is still stronger than him. Naruto frowns in discontent after losing another sparring match against his boyfriend. He wants to be strong enough to protect Sasuke but he keeps losing every match even though he’s been training for so long.
Sasuke does his best to reassure him, “You’ve become so much stronger already and I’m sure if you keep working as hard as you are, you’ll become strong enough to beat both Kakashi and I in a sparring match.”
Naruto shakes his head, not believing the other, “You guys have years of experience with this kind of thing. I doubt I’ll ever get better than either of you.”
“But, you’re being helped by two people who are experienced. Right now you’re already so much stronger than so many people out there and I know you worry about someone being stronger and you not being able to protect someone but each day you’re getting better. Just be patient.”
Naruto feels better by Sasuke’s words. Sasuke may struggle with people’s feelings sometimes but when it counts he knows how to make Naruto feel better.

“I’m not sure that’s a good idea,” Naruto tells Sasuke.
“It’ll be fine, Copper likes you,” Sasuke insists.
“That doesn’t mean I have to learn how to ride him.”
“We’ll be going on a horse ride with him together. C’mon it will be fun.”
Naruto sighs, “Fine.”
Sasuke’s been bothering Naruto about him actually learning how to ride a horse properly. Sure Naruto’s rode on top of Angel but Sasuke wants to teach Naruto how to be good at riding horses and how to get on top and off the horse by himself.
First Sasuke’s going to be on top of the horse while showing him the ropes of how to use the reins. Naruto sits in front while Sasuke sits right behind him holding onto the reins. Naruto can’t help his nervousness about this.
“Sit up and relax,” Sasuke instructs.
Naruto does as Sasuke says and straightens his sitting position and does his best to relax. This time for Naruto to learn how to actually ride a horse Sasuke is going to do most of the work and Naruto is going to watch closely to see what he’s supposed to do. During the ride Naruto notices how Sasuke holds the reins. The prince holds the reins gently.
“If you pull too hard on the reins you might hurt your horse,” Sasuke mentions.
This is kind of fun. Naruto’s still apprehensive towards the idea of riding a horse by himself, not just being on a horse while the horse is walking. Sasuke wants to teach him how to ride a horse and make the horse run. The idea of it scares Naruto but right now this isn’t too bad.
“When riding a horse, keep your eyes on where you’re going,” Sasuke advises.
Naruto nods. That makes sense. If he doesn’t pay attention to what’s in front of him while going forward he might accidentally hurt the horse or get lost.
Too soon the horse ride is over and Sasuke says something that causes Naruto to feel an immense amount of dread.
“Your turn, you get to ride the horse by yourself,” Sasuke says.
Naruto gawks at him, “A;ready?! I’m not ready!”
“Relax, my love. I’ll be leading the way on another horse and I’ll guide you the entire time.”
“Why do I need to do this?”
“Because it’s a fast way for you to get anywhere if you need to.”
“Right.”
Naruto somehow manages to get on top of Copper by himself. Sasuke insisted he ride Copper because Angel wasn’t available and the other horse that Sasuke is riding bites a lot. Copper bites but he never once bit Naruto when Naruto was grooming him so Sasuke figured he would be good for Naruto to ride.
The horse ride is as exhilarating as it is terrifying. Sasuke makes sure to remind him of how to turn and how to hold the reins throughout the ride. Naruto honestly enjoys the breeze and feels more confident in his ability to ride a horse.
The horse ride ends and Naruto somehow manages to get off Copper. That wasn’t as horrible as Naruto thought it would be. He enjoyed it. It wasn’t such a bad idea after all.

Naruto wants to take a break from everything so he asks Sasuke if he wants to go to the lake with him. Sasuke agreed and the two of them changed into swim trunks and headed to Sasuke’s private lake. The lake is surrounded by steep cliffs and it gives Naruto an idea. Naruto grins at Sasuke.
“What?” Sasuke asks as if he’s almost afraid to ask.
“We should jump off one of those cliffs into the water!” Naruto answers.
Sasuke glances at the cliffs around the lake. Sasuke looks back and shakes his head.
“They’re way too tall for us to jump off of them,” Sasuke firmly states.
“Don’t be a scaredy cat,” Naruto teases.
“I’m not scared.”
“Then come with me,” Naruto says as he holds his hand out for Sasuke to take.
Sasuke relents and takes Naruto’s hand. Naruto smiles in victory and he leads the way up one of the cliffs.
Once they’re on top of the cliff and Naruto looks down he begins to feel a bit of regret. He didn’t think this through.
Sasuke nudges him, “Who’s the scaredy cat now?” Sasuke taunts playfully.
“Still you,” Naruto retorts.
Sasuke sees through Naruto’s fake confidence. The prince grabs Naruto’s hand and squeezes it comfortingly.
“Let’s jump together,” Sasuke offers.
“Yeah, let’s go down together,” Naruto accepts.
They count to three and jump down. They fall at an incredible speed. They splash harshly into the water. The two of them come up from under the water and Naruto starts to laugh.
“That was so fun! We should do it again!” Naruto exclaims.
“No, we are not doing that again,” Sasuke vows.
Naruto laughs at Sasuke’s expense. As scary as that was, it was also so much fun. Naruto can’t help but ponder about it. How he used to live such a boring and repetitive life but now each day is different and he has plenty of time to go out and have some fun. He really got lucky with having Sasuke come into his life.
Sasuke splashes him because Naruto was in his head. Naruto gets out of his head and splashes the other with even more water than Sasuke splashed him with. This causes another one of their playful fights where they both end up just laughing in the end.
Sasuke wins this time but only because he cheats and grabs Naruto and starts to smother the blond with kisses.
Naruto tries to wriggle out of Sasuke’s grip while laughing, “This isn’t fighting! This is totally cheating!”
Sasuke shuts Naruto up by kissing the blond on the lips. Naruto stops trying to wriggle away and kisses back passionately. Naruto doesn’t mind losing this way since it means Sasuke is giving him so much affection.

It takes a couple more months of training and working out but Naruto finally does it. He accomplishes his goal.
Kakashi is on the floor while Naruto holds his sword to the masked man’s throat. Naruto puts his sword in its sheath and holds his hand out. Kakashi takes his hand and uses it to pull himself up.
Kakashi puts a hand on Naruto’s shoulder, “Good job. You won.”
Naruto grins. He did it! He actually did it! He doesn’t believe he would be able to win everytime they spar from now on but he knows now that he’s capable of it and that brings him an indescribable amount of happiness.
As their training is over Naruto rushes over to tell Sasuke the exciting news. Sasuke lets a small smile slip onto his face as Sasuke tells him. Naruto’s expression is one of pride and excitement over his accomplishment.
“We should go somewhere to celebrate,” Sasuke suggests.
Naruto nods enthusiastically, “Yes! We should get ice cream!”
“Anything you want, I’ll pay.”
Naruto goes up to where Sasuke is sitting on his bed and gives him a peck on the lips before dragging the other out of bed.
Once Sasuke is in the black cloak to hide his identity, Naruto grabs his boyfriend’s hand and leads the way to the ice cream shop nearby.
The ice cream shop is Naruto’s favorite. This is because it’s a family owned business with such kind people there Naruto gets strawberry ice cream with several candy toppings. Sasuke gets a plain chocolate ice cream with no toppings.
Sasuke and Naruto sit at one of the tables in the shop. Naruto immediately digs in. Man, this ice cream tastes like heaven.
Sasuke chuckles at Naruto, “You’re really enjoying that ice cream.”
“Of course I am, this place’s ice cream is the best,” Naruto replies.
“Hm, it’s okay.”
“Okay?! I would sell my soul for a bowl of this place’s ice cream.”
Someone working throughout the place overhears his yelling and smiles at his compliment of their ice cream.
“How about I just buy you another bowl of ice cream instead of you selling your soul for it?” Sasuke offers.
Naruto smiles, “That would be great, but I can pay for it this time.”
“No, it’s fine. I have plenty of money.”
Naruto lets Sasuke buy him another ice cream because he knows the prince won’t budge about not letting Naruto pay.
“I don’t know how I got so lucky to have you as my boyfriend,” Naruto says to Sasuke, “You’re so kind, always paying for things and helping me when I need it.”
Sasuke looks away from Naruto towards the window by their table. Naruto knows it’s to hide his blush.
“I could say the same to you, you know,” Sasuke responds, “You’ve always been kind to me, always looking out for me and taking care of me. I never thought I would meet someone like you, but I’m so glad I did.”
Now it’s Naruto’s turn to blush. Sasuke’s words mean a lot to him. After Naruto finishes his second bowl of ice cream they decide to walk around since it’s such a beautiful day outside.
Then they come across a couple of buskers and a bunch of couples dancing with each other. Naruto is drawn to it.
Naruto holds his hand out for Sasuke to take, “Dance with me?”
“I’m not sure, there’s so many people around,” Sasuke says tentatively.
“Don’t worry about them, no one can see who you are and there’s lots of other people doing it,” Naruto reassures. “C’mon, it’ll be fun.”
Sasuke takes Naruto’s hand and places his other hand on Naruto’s hip. Naruto squeezes Sasuke’s hand comfortingly and puts his other hand on the prince’s shoulder.
They swirl around, smoothly dancing with each other to the music. As they continue dancing, the more comfortable Sasuke gets with them dancing with so many people around.
Naruto stares fondly at his boyfriend. He can’t see much of Sasuke’s face because of the hood of his cloak but it’s okay because the bit he can see of Sasuke is gorgeous to Naruto.
Sasuke twirls Naruto around. Naruto goes back to the dance perfectly after twirling. Each moment like this he realizes how happy he is to be in love with this man.
When they’re done dancing, Sasuke tips the buskers and they go back to walking around aimlessly with each other.
After walking around while holding hands they figure it’s time to go home so they head back to the castle. When they get back to the castle they eat dinner and go back to Sasuke’s room together.
“At this point we should just call this room, our room, because you never sleep in your room, only this one,” Sasuke comments.
Naruto chuckles, “You’re right, but all my clothes are in my room.”
“You can bring them into my room. I’ve got lots of space in my closet for it.”
“You sure do, you can fit another room in that closet.”
Naruto likes the idea of officially sharing Sasuke’s room so he rushes back to his room to get his clothes. He comes back and goes to their room and puts them on a hanger in a specific spot in the closet so he’ll remember where his clothes are.
When that’s done, Naruto and Sasuke get ready for bed. Sasuke invites Naruto into the bath with him and the blond just can’t resist.
Naruto relaxes his back against Sasuke’s chest as the prince washes his hair. Sasuke places fluttering kisses to his nape while Naruto sighs in pleasure.
Once they’re done with their bath, they get dressed in their pajamas and get into bed together. Naruto pulls himself close to Sasuke and puts one leg over the other and wraps his arms around the prince and Sasuke cuddles him back. They both drift off to sleep easily because the other is in their arms.
