Letter
The mom chuckled seeing the reaction of the two of them.
‘‘Yes back them we used to live next to the Chankimha, we were really good friends actually your dads were really good friends they were even business partner, and your mom freen what a lovely women she was I remember when she learned she was pregnant with you she was so happy I was pregnant with Richie at that time boy did we drive our husband nuts.’’ She chuckled it was a good time sadly when freen parents died everything went south.
The two girls looked at the older woman in disbelief what in a world she was saying who was really Robert Armstrong.
‘‘At first your though you were a boy but after few test it came out that you were intersex, your parents they were more afraid that you will complication more than anything else but when they learned that you were healthy they were elated, they give you so much love. Richie and you were mischievous always coming with scrapes and bruises, I remember one day you and Richie come back home with bloody nose, when we asked you what happened you two simply tell us that no-one bullies your siblings you were 4 at that time.’’ She laughed out loud, oh boy this two were always in trouble.
‘‘Then becky came, you two were so overprotective towards her, it was so cute Richie and you always fight for her attention, always take her wherever you hang out. Becky was always attached by your hips freen, one day I remember the three of you was playing in the beach, freen make a cute crown of flower and declared that becky was now her wife and now Richie was her brother by law, you three were always in some trouble protecting each other.’’
That explains the sense of safety becky was feeling whenever she was with freen, and how protective freen was feeling towards the younger girl. They waited patiently for the older woman to continue with her story.
'‘Everything was good your parents and my husband were idealistic back then, they worked hard to gain everything and make the world better for their child, that’s was they were always telling me. But sixteen years ago everything changed, they were working on something big apparently and what I was told that it was going to change the world, but then Richie died the circumstances is still blurry till this day and don’t even know how my child died but I suspect it was because of what they were working on. After Richie death the chankimha were a great support system, but after that one moth later your parent died freen.’’
It was a lot digest for the both of them what in world becky mom was telling them, how that possible their parents were friends, why the waraha didn’t tell them nothing about that surely they would know if they close friends with freen parents.
‘‘ After the death of your parents, Robert decided that we should move back in england, but the whole affair was strange it was like he was running away from something, when I actually asked him about that he just tell the less I know the better it was. The death of your parents hit him hard he becomes a man I didn’t recognize, he was cold and hard, it was like joy was suck out him.’’ She tells them all she knows because they knew this two need to hear that.
‘Miss Armstrong I actually have a question if I may?’’ Freen said politely something wasn’t adding up in the tell.
‘‘Of course sweetie go ahead I will reply you the best that I can.’’ Becky was curious at what freen may asked.
‘‘If you were such a good friends with my parents, how come the waraha didn’t tell me nothing about that?’’
‘‘It’s strange we used to hang out all together at first we were a tight circle, but I remember some times before you were born they just go to travel, I think it may due to the lost of their child I’m not really sure. Sorry if can’t give you a better answer.’’ Freen frowned at that why her parents didn’t tell her about their relationships with the Armstrong?
'‘Actually mom I have a question if you were so close with freen parents why didn’t you take her with us?’’ Freen eyes widened at that question, it does make a sense why they didn’t bring her with them?
'‘Your dad tried his best to take freen with us, but freen relative were still alive they promise to take care of her, and we were not her relatives so by the law we didn’t have any right to take her, your father was still bit wary of them, he didn’t really trust them I don’t know why either, he tried to take freen legally but something was stopping to do so, so he did the next best things. Which was to check monthly with freen auntie and aunt, so they sends him picture and letter, that was supposed to be written by freen.’’ The next part for her was hard when they learned the truth about freen whereabouts it break their hearts the little girl was a part of their family after all.
'‘It was until 4years later that we learned you were in orphanage, Robert suspected that they lied to us to steal all your assets we tried to find you for months, until we learned that the waraha adopted you, so we were happy that you were with them cause they are really good people, Robert tried to take back your assets to give them back to you, but apparently he wasn’t able to do so. He never really tell me why he wasn’t able to gain back your inheritance, so he tracked down all the Foster parents that mistreated you and send them to jail.’’
Freen was lost what this story was different to all she knows, how come she didn’t knew all that, was Robert someone good or bad? If she lives with them would she learned the truth about her parents death? So many question without answers, but something was fishy becky mom’s don’t have any reason to lied to them. So what really happened sixteen years ago?
Becky can’t believe what she just heard, who was really her father? Why didn’t she have any memories of that time? It was overwhelming did she misjudged her father, if it was the case who were they really against? She have the intuition that all the answer was in the files she found. Poor freen she thinks to herself, all her belief were false she chased the wrong person the whole time. She looked at freen and saw the lost look on her face.
‘‘Mom can we continue that later? I need to speak with freen.’’ Madam armstrong knew that it was a lot to digest for them, they knew that they believe that Richard was a bad person but she need to tell them the truth.
'‘Of course but I have something for both of you actually, Robert left a letters for the both of you follow me in the study please.’’ They gestured them to followed her, the two of them was deep in though, they can’t believe that they tried to sends an innocent man in jail. Was he really innocent though he was clearly into some shady business so what was he purpose?
She give them the letter left them alone.
'‘Freen are you alright ? It was a lot to digest no?’’
‘‘Beck I’m sorry, I was wrongly thinking that your dad kill my parents but based on what your mom tell us, it wasn’t the case, and I tried to send him to jail, and now I learned he tried to fight for me, he cared for me, he genuinely have affection toward me and my family how fuck up it’s that?’’ She shakes her head how come she didn’t have a clue on any of that.
‘‘The only positive things in all that matters it’s now you don’t have to feel guilty towards me anymore, and I understand why I was so comfortable and protective toward you why whenever I’m with you I feel the sense of familiarity and warmth. And why I love you so much.’’ She murmured the last part afraid to see becky reaction.
‘You… you … what? You lo… love me?’’ She stuttered baffled by what she heard her heart jump with joy, how freen can love her? Their story was messy, Becky comes with complications that she didn’t want to added into freen’s live.
‘‘I think it’s obvious by now what I feel towards you becky don’t play dumb please. And I know it’s not the best moment to tell you that so you can pretend I didn't say anything. We will talk later about that.’’ Freen didn’t want to overwhelming her so she give her a way out.
As for becky she didn’t know what to say she knows she has strong feelings toward freen but everything was so chaotic right know, they didn’t even know who they were against, she thinks that needs to focus on their main goal for now.
‘‘Ok why don’t you sit and read your letter and will do the same?’’ Freen proposed gently.
‘‘I don’t know if I have the courage to do so freen, I’m afraid of what I might learned.’’ She explained, freen was also afraid but they needs to do that.
‘‘I understand you, me too I’m afraid what I might learned too but we will face it together, I’m right there next to you to hold your hands on mine, to give you the strength that you think you don’t have.’’ She give a quick peck to becky before smiling at her, becky was happy to see freen stick to her words, she was really here to stay.
'‘Ok but can you hug me a little bit please.’’ Freen didn’t say anything she just take the younger girl in her arms they stayed just like that basking in each other warmth, loving the sense of familiarity and safety they feel whenever they were with each other.
Twenty minutes later becky felt asleep, freen just think everything she just learned she doesn’t know what to do with the new information she just have, what was she supposed to do now, Robert was clearly assassinated too, but who did this and why? She need to speak to engfa she needs to know the truth to let go of the past.
She decided to read the letter Robert give to her. She opened the envelope inside were a letter and a picture, on the picture we can see her parents but also becky parents and in front them three children, the little boy she supposed that was Richie grinning we can see a missing tooth his arms were around freen, who herself were hugging a little girl she supposed that becky grinning widely, they seems happy really happy at the bottom of the envelope she found a drawing who was carefully conserved it was written to the best uncle ever from freen I love you. On the drawing they were all present plus a little dog, she concluded that she really like Robert when she was little.
She opened carefully the letter, and began to read it.
Dear freen,
It’s been 16 years the last, I saw you I know you might hate me right now, and it’s understandable. Sixteen years ago something happened, something I cannot tell you but knowing you I think you will probably the truth.
I write to you today knowing that my day is counted, you may not believe me but you’re really someone important to me, I watch you grow from afar trying to protect you with my best abilities, but sadly you suffered four years in that horrible orphanage, if only I learned your whereabouts earlier, I’m sure your childhood would be happier. Fortunately the waraha found you and raise you to the beautiful young woman you’re now.

Freen always trust your instinct, I believe my daughter is safe in your hands, you really a good person, work together the two of you because you are the smartest and brightest person I know, I will leave all my assets to becky I know she will do a good use of it, and I hope it might help you two to take them down it’s the last thing I can do for the both of you.

Freen was perplexed this man who wrote her this letter, was the same man that sells drugs and prostitute young girl? What was his involvement in the mafia world? Something wasn’t definitely right she must investigate more, she needs the truth to have justice for her parents and likely for Robert too. She wondered how becky will react knowing the truth, her poor baby, she probably hates her father for no reason.
Becky wake up seeing freen deep in thought she wondered what the older girl thinking. She need still to read the letter of her father, but fears what her father might tell her.
‘‘Freen?’’ She said softly. ‘‘Can you do me a favor?’’ Freen just looked at her and nodded.
‘‘Can you read the letter for me?’’ Freen eyes widened in surprise she guessed that becky would like some privacy to read the letter. Freen take the envelope and take the letter out of it, clearing her throat she began reading.
My dear beautiful daughter,
How are you? I hope you’re doing fine? First I wanted to tell you how proud I am of you, you grow up to be a beautiful young woman. I’m proud how far you came just by yourself, without the name of your parents and just with your efforts .
Your achievement in life are my pride, I was the happiest man alive when I saw you graduate, working hard for what you want, I want you to be always like that my strong little girl.
I like to say sorry to you, you must really be disappointed to have a dad like me, you must think I’m monster, and I really don’t blame you.
When you left five years ago, I felt like my world don’t have sense anymore, I didn’t understand why would you run away like that. When freen finished the letter, becky was crying, her dad does really loved her, but know she can’t even tell him that she love him too. It was too late.

‘‘Hello, it’s Richie speaking.’’
‘‘Hi Richie it’s daddy, how are you?’’ He asked stunned.
'‘It’s a long story son but I have a second chance in life, and I will definitely do everything in my power to stop them this time.’’ The older man says. Richie was glad his dad was alive but what about becky and his mom?
'‘But dad what about becky and mom you have to tell them the truth!’’ He exclaimed.
'‘No son, not now, I need your help, I found out that they will try to take freen company to stop her investigate, you need to stop them with all costs, now we’re not alone anymore, we gain a powerful allies, I can’t tell you more I will help you to where I am now.’’
‘‘Ok dad. that’s all?’’ He heard someone talk in the background but can’t decipher what they were saying.
