‘‘Hi madam I’m Rebecca armstrong nice to meet you.’’ She present herself extending her hand to freen mother but the later surprise becky with a hug her eyes widen looking at freen.
‘‘Rebbeca ?’’ Her eyes widen in recognition ‘‘So you’re the beautiful fiancé of my dear daughter here. Freen why did you hide her from us and why I have to learn through nam that she’s your PA?’’ She scolded lightly. Freen eyes widen once in panic she look at becky and prayed that she wouldn’t say anything to contradict her mother.
‘‘Hmm Ma we’re gonna wash our faces and brush our teeth why don’t you finish the breakfast and we can talk when we’re ready ?’’ She take becky hands and drag her to her bathroom without waiting her mother answer.
‘‘What the actual hell boss ?’’ Becky whispered yelled when they arrived in the bathroom.
‘‘ Shh i can explain lower, your voice please.’’ She say frantically and tried to calm becky down taking her hands in her own.
‘‘You can explain ? Explain to me why your mom think I’m your fucking fiance ?’’ Becky was getting agitated no-one of question were answered and it irritated the heel out of her.
‘‘Please I explain to you later, just go along for the time being please.’’ Freen was pleading she can’t deceive her mother with her lies, she was restless and if she has beg on her knees she would do it.
‘‘ Why would I do that, give me one good reason to lie to your mom.’’ She can clearly see the desperation in her boss face but she hates lying the most.
‘‘I can’t tell you the whole the story now my mom would be suspicious but I can’t deceive her again please.’’ She begged her on knees, becky widen at her action she tried to make her stand up but freen keep pleading et her to go along.
‘‘Ok but you have a hell explanation to give me later.’’ She finally conceited freen, in the same time they did wash their face, she explained the basic thing about her and how to address to her mom, becky file her with the basic information on her too and how their supposed relationship started.
When they arrived in the living room her mother just finished the breakfast a awkward silence passed between them until freen mom spoke.
‘‘ Oii it’s not like I found you two in a compromising situation.’’ She tried to joke lightly when she saw the silence remained. ‘‘Let’s go to eat girls so I can learned more about the girl that stole the heart of my dear daughter.’’ Smiling she take becky hands in her own and take her to the dinner room.
The duration of the breakfast freen mom’s question becky about their relationship how they meet how did they fall in love and such. Thanks to freen, becky wasn’t caught off guard and can lying smoothly. Freen mom tried learning everything she can about becky and becky answer as the best she can and was a little uncomfortable but she try to not show it, and freen at the same time learned new things about becky. Becky was well spoken and freen was definitely sure that she made a good impression on her mother if the smile on her face indicates anything else, it made things more difficult about breaking up things with becky when the times come.
‘‘So becky why don’t you come at home this weekend with so we can learned more about each other and you can also meet the family?’’ She asked kindly she grew to like becky she was well mannered, educated smart and most importantly she can keep up with freen but she wanted to know about this girl.
‘‘Hmm …’’ becky started but freen intervened.
‘‘Mom don’t ambush her like that, I will talk to her later we’re already late to work I call you tonight Ok? Why don’t you go see Fa Ma she will be please to see you.’’ She tell her gently, she literally throw her cousin under the bus she hope just that her cousin doesn’t have one of her night stand at home, she winces at the thought.
‘‘Ok darling just because you’re late to work and I didn't warn I was coming.’’ She takes her daughter in her arms and kiss her forehead. ‘‘Love you darling see you this weekend’’ freen can’t help but melts at the affection her mom’s was giving her, becky can’t help but snicker under her breathe. Then her mother turned to becky ‘‘I hope to see you this weekend’’ she engulfed becky in a warm hug, she was stiff at the beginning but started to reciprocated, it’s been a long time since she feels the warmth of a mother.
‘‘Ok girls I’ll be going to see Fa upstairs love you freen.’’ She waved them.
‘‘Love you mom.’’ They watch her go in silence.
Becky can’t help but broke the silence. ‘‘Love you mom’’ she mimicked freen with a smirk. ‘‘So you’re a mummy's girl hmm.’’ She let out a loud laugh.
‘‘Oh shut up!’’ She grumbled under her breathe ‘‘let’s get ready for work you can use the bathroom in the guest room and use my clothes.’’
‘‘Ok thanks’’ they get themselves ready in a record time cause they were already late.
When they arrive at the building the employees here were whispering they clearly saw their stoic boss arriving with the sweet becky who were always joyful and the fact that becky was clearly wearing their boss they can’t help but gossip about it.
‘‘Why they’re all watching me weirdly’’ becky murmured to herself but freen clearly heard it.
‘‘ You don’t anything else to do but staring us? Do your job!’’ Yelled freen rudely while watching. ‘‘And if hear something different to the keyboard or related to work you’re fired, don’t forget I have ears everywhere.’’ She then goes to her office leaving behind her a dropped open mouth becky and a office with wide eyes employees who hurried to do they work. Becky hurried up to following her and open the door of freen office.
‘‘Was that really necessary? They’re gonna talk more now!’’ She complained slightly. ‘‘Plus that was rude and completely uncalled for.’’ Freen observed her, she admits she did what she did because she didn’t want people to badmouth becky but she not gonna tell her that.
‘‘Yes I really need to do that, I don’t pay them to gossip about me or a fellow coworker I pay them to work.’’ She says coldly crossing her arms, ‘‘Plus do I need to remind you that it’s my company I can do whatever the hell I want here.’’ She added crossing her legs. Becky gotta admits to herself her boss was hot when she was like this she scream power and sex sitting behind her desk like this, she shook her head.
‘‘So about this morning you have some serious explaining to do.’’ Freen was embarrassed she cleared her throat. She explained the whole story to becky the why and how, becky was dumbfound she don’t have the words so she listens, through the explanation freen was uncomfortable she know she messed up but the whole headlines affairs didn't arrange the matters.
‘‘And why do you suggest to fix this mess?’’ Becky asked narrowing her eyes and crossing her arms defensively.
‘‘We should pretend to be engaged at least until we find who is behind this and calm the worries of my family.’’ She says calmly uncrossing her arms.
‘‘ Don’t you see that I can’t stand you boss ? How can you suggest that we pretend to be a couple and engaged? Are you insane ? Do you any brain cell left? I have a life you know ?’’ Becky ask irritated the nerve of this woman she thinks to herself working with her is a pain her ass their first encounter was a disaster how dare she ? She ask to herself.
Sure freen have the brain and the beauty becky muse to herself and she is very much attract to her physically but her character ruin everything, a cold bold arrogant selfish a spoiled little brat she thinks so highly of herself so what if she’s hot with that damn pantsuit and her messy loose hair and that tie. Becky berated herself for letting her thoughts running wild.
‘‘ Miss Armstrong do you really think I’m attracted to you ? My god you’re the most insufferable woman of the world! You think I can stand you ? You’re the one to talk but you’re sassy, brazen, bold, arrogant. You don’t have any respect for me and I’m your boss.’’Freen feels her patience slipping through her finger never in her life she meet a woman who dares to talk her like that. Sure becky is competent PA she can keep well with Freen not anyone can do that, she’s goddamn beautiful too but she was her real firecracker hardheaded woman and it ruins all her charm.
Becky is hot freen can’t deny it, something about the woman the way she carries herself attracted her . Freen shake her head she don't want to go there.
‘‘And it’s your fault if we’re in this mess Armstrong I can’t have people thinking that I sleep around.’’ Freen know that she’s being unfair but what option did she have? Her reputation it’s on line, and her enemies sure see that like a weakness. It’s like her life begins to be a big mess since she meets Rebecca . The all things it’s a big misunderstanding and it’s all begin in that damn club and after that it’s like a big snowball effect and now the only solution it’s to be married with the insufferable girl. Even if the girl didn't know yet.
‘‘My fault how so? It’s not me who lied to mummy dearest, it’s not me who published this pictures and it's certainly not who can’t keep my hands to myself!’’ She screamed at her, the nerves of this woman she too have a lot to lost in this.
‘‘You certainly didn’t push me if I remembered correctly when we were kissing, you even pull me closer moaned in my ear undo my belt and rub…’’ freen said sultry and begin to approach becky with predatory step but becky didn’t let her finish.
‘‘Ok that's enough I know what we did and it will never happen again.’’ She interrupted freen because one it begins to turn her on and two she now she will lost control if they made the slightest eye contact so becky push freen and stand up. ‘‘And don’t dream on me confirming your lie.’’ She stands up ready to leave the office but freen catch her hands.
‘Wait please I’m sure we can both benefit of this arrangement.’’ Nam decided to barged to that exact moment she look at them once again the tension was palpable clearing her throat she made her presence known.
‘‘Hmm freen i need to talk to you it’s urgent.’’ Braking the stares with becky she looked at nam.
‘‘Can it wait Nam I’m in middle of something important here.’’ Freen wa clearly annoyed the situations was uncontrollable and becky was being unreasonable surely she can find something beneficial for the both of them.
‘‘No it can’t freen sorry.’’ Nam was sure she stumbled in a love quarrel but they can’t solve the matters later.
Sighing freen look at becky who was ready to get out of here.
‘‘Ok Nam miss Armstrong we’re not finish here we have a lot to talk about later.’’ With a slight nod becky leave relieved. ‘‘What’s the matter Nam?’’
‘‘I think we have a mole here.’’ Panicked Nam begin to paced back and forth in her office.
‘‘Why do you think of that?’’ A mole she asked to herself it’s impossible Fa investigated all the people that work here in the exception of becky, but strangely she trusted the younger girl.
‘‘We have some files that are missing and this morning they were publish online they were prototypes freen we could lose so much with this leak!’’ She exclaimed throwing her hands in the air.
‘‘ Calm down Nam tell Mind and heng to come here asap, I will handling if someone was hacking our system with the help of becky, and Mind Heng and you will handle the personal.’’ She must keep her calm anyway Nam was stressing for the both of them. ‘‘And stop pacing like that you give me a headache.’’
After the urgent meeting everybody was busy with their tasks, becky was working actively with freen to find a possible hacker, after few hours they indeed find a breaches in the firewall, they trying to tracking down but it was hard, the hacker was extremely smart goes through multiple IP. When finally 9 pm they were exhausted they didn't talk about what happen this they don’t have the energy, freen once again drive becky home for once without complaints.
When becky arrived at home she checked her phone when she saw several missed call from her cousin distraught dialed immediately her number.
‘‘Char what happened are you alright? They didn't hurt you did they when you were there did they?’’ She asked in one breathe.
‘‘Calm down bec I’m alright but I have a bad news and a good new if we can call that like that.’’ Charlotte know her cousin wouldn't like what she was going to say. '‘So you were right he knows where you are but that’s not all you remembered when you tell me to lie to them pretending that you’re engaged to some big shoot here in New York most powerful or equally powerful to him, well …’’ she let a long pause before continuing ‘‘I tell him that you’re engaged to freen hmm, your boss and I didn't sound happy about it.’’ She let out a sigh sigh '‘and before you chew my head you did tell me you didn't care who that the person is.’’ She added quickly.
‘‘What? Why?’’ She was lost of words. ‘‘What did you Charlotte? You just complicated everything.’’ What a mess she tell to herself fortunately her dad didn't decided to come here. '‘Why wasn’t he happy it was his dream to married me some big shoot.’’
‘‘Bec i didn’t know your pictures will be everywhere even if we don’t see your face, apparently he was able to recognize you from the first pictures, but I didn't know at first about that so when I tell him about you two he completely lost it.’’ She sighed she was tired with everything not to mention that she didn't tell becky that they weren't the only to investigate on her father but she can’t say anything cause the NDA clause. ‘‘He says to me that he want to married off with some guys that you know, and that freen was the origin that the dude dad was in jail.’’
‘‘Aye char everything it’s so mess up, this day I don’t have a single day of peace.’’ Becky was so tired with everything first the pictures, then freen drama, now her dad, she thinks briefly to run away once again, but she can’t do that she have to face this. ‘‘Thanks for the update, and before I forget the job it’s done I will give the infos next time we see each other just so you know I found something really interesting .’’
When they hang up becky stay wide awake, sleep doesn't come easily her mind was running wild, what option did she have, what she was going to do with freen and her dad, thinking about it would change nothing so she crawl next to Irin and forced herself to sleep tomorrow was another day.
As for freen sleep didn't come at all, she keep thinking about the mess she created with the lie she tell to her family she prayed whatever god was up there that becky would reconsidered her decision. And like it wasn't enough someone was targeting her business like tarnish her reputation wasn’t enough. When she was about to close her eyes her phone ring.
‘‘Hello fa what's up? Why are you calling this late?’’ She asked laying on her bed.
‘‘I have some news about Robert. It’s on move apparently some his contact where searching for her girl I didn’t know much except that she has some comprising proof against him, and that he want the girl alive.’’ Freen was suddenly wide awake all the sleepiness were gone, this was huge for them.
‘‘That’s great Fa do everything you can to find this girl, she must be really important to him if he didn't kill her with this type information that she has.’’
‘‘I will do my best but this girl is a ghost it’s been 5 years since that he try to catch her, it’s not gonna be easy Freen we don’t have any information on her, we don’t even know what she looks like.’’ Engfa know that it’s a huge step to catch this asshole, but this girl was smart enough to not being catch and gathered whatever proof she has against a man this powerful this girl must be really good. But few question come to her mind why didn’t she use the proof she have and how did she hide for so long.
‘‘Just do your best please Fa, just find the girl and I will do the rest.’’ For the first time in years she was hopeful that the culprit behind her parents death will be catch.
‘‘So i received an interesting visit this morning, care to explain?’’ Fa try to lighten the mood, freen groaned her mother was the worst sometime, after 15 minutes of teasing they hung up.
Freen once again thinks about becky then her minds wandering towards mysterious girl that stole proof and maintained hidden for a man this powerful. Who was she and where was she? With this question in minds freen fall asleep.
