glimpse of becky past
Becky finally arrived home, her Friday night was a disaster sure her day was good but the night what a nightmare first she spilled her drink on a stranger, the same stranger that she was yelling on catch her when she almost fall for finally almost kissing her fainting her arms and stay at her house, the girl left a note explaining what happened the night and how come she was here and that she was drugged she has some flashback from the night before.
She remembered the way she begged to sleep next to the woman how she loved the warmth emanated by the woman, how her scent was intoxicated and remembered when the the morning come she feels her hardness on her ass, she concluded that the woman was packing, she didn’t question much she was still groggy and sleepless.
When she finally emerged in the bathroom waiting for her a set of fresh clothes was waiting for her a breakfast was waiting for her, the woman left some cash for her take a cab and tell her to kept the clothes.
When she arrives to her apartment Irin was already here and tease her about her night, becky was not prude and back then in uni she was a little wild so she was extremely confident with her sexuality, she already sleep with men and woman the gender doesn't really matter for her, so naturally her best friend thought that she was having one night stand somewhere nonetheless. But Irin find extremely odd that the young woman didn't sleep at home for that it must means that the person that was with must be important for the younger girl for her to forget her phone and bag with them, at the beginning when she wake up she was slightly alarmed when she doesn't see her, it was out of her character but she tell to herself that becky was a grown woman and if she didn’t show up in the morning she will search for her.
With a big hungover becky explained what really happen her friend was shook and fuss over. Irin feel really bad for assuming that she was having one night stand.
In afternoon becky can’t help but think about the mysterious woman, she was definitely attracted to that woman she wasn’t a fool the girl was gorgeous she feel in instant connexion with her but nothing would never happens between them because her wariness to the wealthy people, she despises that kind of people they’re conceited arrogant smug and think that people who doesn't match their status are beneath them she knows that there are exception but she doesn't want risks it and she have her reason for that.
She know better she must stay away for that kind woman plus she doesn’t really her and she definitely will never meet her again so she doesn't have really worry about that.
She decided to check her mail to see if she have a response to job she applied the day before she was to afraid to look, when she see a positive she can’t help but squeal aloud, naturally Irin came to see what the fuss was about when her friend told about the news they jumped around like high school girl and her friend decided to treat her with a dinner along with Non. They go to a restaurent and decided to behave themselves and not to drink, they were having good time joking and goofing around.
When becky lay wide awake on her bed that night her mind was running wild, she doesn't understand how she was drugged. She always careful with her drink, she doesn't take it when people offer them to her she was extremely cautious in case, that sort of thing happen daily. She can’t help but think about her family did they find her ? No it can’t be she thinks she always careful they don’t run in the same circle anymore now, she doesn’t have social media account, and the account she have is private without her pics on it, with her skills in hacking she was sure to disappear, she like a ghost online.
The only person she keep in touch with it’s her cousin Charlotte but char like her doesn’t really have a tie with their family anymore she even help becky to disappear, she pretend to keep table on becky on their behalf the information due her line of work but they get just what becky want to them to know. She even gave her intel on her parents and what they’re up to.
Sometimes sure she called her mom but she made sure to use a burner phone so they can’t tracked her. Surely it was a big pervert who want to have her way with her, fortunately for her that that woman was here.
Her thoughts wandered again to that woman who was she? How come she doesn’t know her, she know all the influent people here without she be just a spoil daddy’s girl. Becky decided to sneak in Irin room when sleep didn’t come, her friend know better to asked her about she’s really glad she has a friend like her.
Sunday morning comes along and becky have to meet up with her cousin for their daily Sunday brunch they always meet outside the town, so even if her parents decided to follow char along they know don’t where she lives now.
She spot her cousin inside their favorite dinner, ‘‘hi char how are you ?’’ She asked smiling.
‘‘Hi how re you bec ? New York seems to treat you well you’re glowing girl.’’she greeted her cousin happy to see her they tried to meet every Sunday if they’re available but if not they just call each other.
‘‘Why thank you, I’m just happy I just got a job at SCC I start Monday.’’ She tell her happily and add‘‘So what’s new with you?’’.
‘‘Nothing much you know since I quit the agency and open my own security and investigation agency I’m like you a black sheep.’’ She laughed at that it’s true char and her are the black sheep of their families but can’t be happier to no be a part of their world.
‘‘Char you know you very successful you’re the reference in that field don’t let them get into your head. So what’s new with them ?’’ It’s true, since Charlotte open her agency she was successful but what her parent doesn't like it’s that they have no control over her anymore. Looking hesitantly at becky she doesn't know if it’s the best to tell her. Seeing the face her cousin becky know something wrong. ‘What char ? What you don’t want to tell me?’’
‘‘ Hmm bec i don’t know how to tell you this but I think they have a clue about where you’re because apparently they’re planning to marry you to the son of some friends of them but I don’t know who.’’ She explained to her, becky face crestfallen how dare him to meddling in her life after what she been put through. How did they find her?
‘‘Char do me a favor tell them I’m fiance to some big shoot here at new york look for someone more powerful or equal to them I don’t care who find someone who they fear to come after. I tired to always have to hide for the first time my life go to the right direction I don’t want to ruin that for their sick pleasure.’’ The conviction on becky face tell her better to argued with her so she just shut her mouth and agreed reluctantly with a nod. ‘‘And for the other things what's the status?’’
‘‘You know how this becky it take time, but I will need your help for something tough. I want you to hack something for me you’re the only one I trust to left no trace behind. She handed her usb, it’s not that she didn't trust her team but becky was best in that field she saw that through years . ‘‘All the info it’s in here and I bring a laptop with me for you to use. And be careful with that bec they’re really smart don’t try outsmart them just collect the intel and go don’t dig deeper that we need.’’ She warned her she know her cousin sometime she try do too much, she like to play with fire sometimes she too full of herself that how she is.
‘‘Don’t worry char I understand what you’re saying, plus I’m too smart for them to catch me.’’ She says with a grin. ‘‘So what about your love life? Anyone has catch your eyes? You have to live you know.’’ Charlotte don't do well in romantic life she like to flirt but nothing pass that, her last relationship was way before they cut the ties with her family so for her it was five years of abstinence.
‘‘ Hmm actually I have a client that I meet that catch my eyes. Monday we have to meet again I have to sign an Nda before she tell me what the works entails but I thinks I’m gonna this case myself.’’ She says blushing, she was crushing hard on the girl, you can say that it was love at first sight and she know she have the same effect on the girl.
‘‘And the client does she or he have a name ?’’ She teased her cousin but she want the name for other purpose too, like running a full background check on that person. She know that it seems exaggerated but better safe than sorry.
‘‘Yeah engfa waraha. And before you start don’t make a background check on her.’’ She warned and give her a pointed look. ‘I know how you’re beck everytime it’s the same things with you.’’ Becky start open her mouth Charlotte interrupted her ‘‘I really like her please let me learned about by myself please.’’she begged her cousin with puppy eyes, everytime becky fell for that, and she did. She agreed with her sigh. ‘How about you bec do you have someone?’’
‘‘But please for my sake please be cautious, we don’t really know who are the person in front us and even if you think you know be careful.’’ She begged softly. ‘‘And no I don’t have anyone in my life for the moments.’’ But her mind wandering to the woman she meet Friday night. What’s wrong with her she thinks.
‘‘Oh you sure about that? I heard other thing, a little birdie tell me you didn’t sleep at home yesterday.’’ It was out of character for becky to sleep outside so that person must really matters to her she know how much her cousin have trust issues. When Irin tell her that becky didn’t come home the Friday night she was worried but Irin convinced her to wait few hours before search for her, and few hours later she did come home, so didn’t think to much about it.
‘‘Irin can’t keep her mouth shut’’ groaned becky taking her head in her hands. Initially she wasn’t going to tell her about that Friday night but now doesn't have the choice she proceed to tell her what happens she saw how her cousin was worried and angry that must happens if not for that stranger who came to save the day. Charlotte was sure their families was behind this but she doesn't want to alarm her, but becky was having similarly thought but keep for herself.
The rest afternoon consist to catch up and light teasing they really like to spend time together.
When becky arrive home she was excited to start her job tomorrow she goes to sleep next to Irin with a smile on her face dream of a woman without a name.
