this fic is about the development about the turtles relationship post season two.
we get to see Leonardo’s point of view on how he deals with how his brothers treat him after Splinter declared the slider leader. Raphael ignores Leo due to being hurt about his father decision, believing his younger brother asked for the position. Donatello starts to shut his twin out, not being able to understand the change in their team. Michelangelo tries to comfort his brothers, unknowingly ignoring Leo in the process.
Leonardo, not having the support of his family starts to sneak away to find comfort. Leo seek Señor Hueso, who decides to let Leo stay with him when needed. At the Run Of The Mill, the slider meets Leatherhead who is an alligator yokai. The yokai introduces Leo to a police program. Leonardo wanting to be more selfless decides to partner up with Leatherhead and the two undergo training together. When the pair graduate, they solve crimes and become close. Leo ends up wanting a lot to the alligator who offers advice.
Time passes and on a mission, Leo ends up getting captured by an unknown criminal. Having no leads, Leatherhead head to the surface to locate Leonardo’s brothers. Wondering in the sewers, Leatherhead tips of Donnie’s security system causing the remaining brother to come an attack Leatherhead. Reacting on instinct the yokai absolutely destroys them before recognizing them as the brothers Leonardo had described to him.
Apologizing, Leatherhead explain why he is there, and while the brothers are hesitant one tracker search later they’re on board. The rest will be left to your imagination ^^.
