Early Sparring
Marvel Studios Opening Sequence with Stan Lee. At the end it says “Thank you Stan”.
“Who is Stan?” asks Sousa.
“I don’t know, but probably a really cool man,” says Howard.
“Doesn't he look like the guy who was at Steve’s medal receivement?” Jarvis asks.
“You’re right, Mr. Jarvis. That is him,” Peggy answers.
Dust and Rocks are flying on the screen. Then an explosion and bluish energy causing it. A woman opens her eyes. Out of her nose drips blue blood.
“How is her blood blue?” Howard asks.
The woman looks around. Before her is a crashed aircraft. The woman then studies, her bloody hand, confused. Another older woman is shown shooting a blaster. The first woman then looks in the distance and a green alien figure comes out of the dust, a blaster in his hand. He pulls the trigger.
“That’s an alien,” Peggy is the first to speak. The people from the 40s are confused, amazed and shocked at the green being on the screen. Sharon looks casual and then smiles amused at the shocked faces of the others.
Then she wakes up. She sits on the edge of her bed and around her fist manifests a blueish energy.
“What's around her fist?” Jarvis asks.
“It’s some kind of energy,” Howard answers.
“Is she an alien too? She obviously has powers,” Thompson asks.
The woman stands up and walks to a window. A blue chip is blinking on her neck.
“What’s that on her neck?” Peggy asks.
“I don’t know Peg. Maybe it's what gives her her powers.” Howard assumes.
Outside the window, an advanced technological world is shown.
“What?!” Shosa exclaimed.
“Where is that?” Thompson asks, shocked. He has never seen anything like that.
“That can’t be the future Earth, can it?” Dottie asks, confused.
“No, it's not,” Sharon answers Dottie.
The words HALA, Capital of the Kree Civilization appear.
“That’s another planet and another species,” Howard cheers.
‘Damn, it's the Kree,” Sharon thinks. Nick and Aunt Peggy told her about this species and that they are hostile.
The screen changes and the woman knocks on a door.
Yon-Rogg: (annoyed and tired) Do you know what time it is?
“Probably too early,” Jarvis assumes.
“Depends, it’s never too early for sparring,” Sharon says.
“I second that,” Peggy says.
Vers: Can’t sleep.
“She probably wants to spar,” Dottie says.
Yon-Rogg: There are tabs for that.
“Yeah, but then we’d sleep and can’t spar,” Sharon explains.
“So what’s the point?” Peggy adds.
“You all have some serious issues,” Sousa gives up.
“We do, but early sparring is none of them,” Dottie elaborates.
Vers: Yeah, but then I’d be sleeping.
Yon-Rogg: Dreams again?
Vers nods in response.
Vers: Wanna fight?
“I like her,” Sharon says.
Scene changes to Vers falling over. The camera then pans to show a doji-like structure, with Vers and Yon-Rogg fighting on a mat.
Vers: I slipped.
“Right, because the floor is slippery,” Sharon jokes.
Yon-Rogg: Right. You slipped as a result of me punching you in the face.
Vers: I was already slipping when you happened to punch me in the face. The two events are not related.
Yon-Rogg: (amused) Tell me about this dream. Anything new?
Vers: No.
Yon-Rogg: You need to let go of your past.
Vers: I don’t remember my past.
“That sucks,” Sharon mumbles.
"Language." Peggy scolds.
Yon-Rogg: It’s causing you doubt, and doubt makes you vulnerable.
“It seems like he doesn't want her to remember,” Peggy says.
“So she can be controlled,” Dottie agrees with Peggy.
Vers is forced on the ground, and her fist begins to glow orange.
Yon-Rogg: Control it.
Vers’ fist returns to normal.
Yon-Rogg: Lose control again and you’ll have to convene with the Supreme Intelligence. There is nothing more dangerous for a warrior than emotion.
“I don’t like him, he gives me the creeps,” Sharon says.
“He definitely has a hidden motive,” Peggy comments.
“He reminds me of someone,” Dottie says, thinking of her past in the Red Room.
“Damn, that bad?” Sharon mutters.
