Note
So this follows canon all the way up until 5x14. This is extremely dark and contains strong themes of suicide and mental health. do not read if that will affect you in any way at all.

The woman lifts up the pen and spins it around her fingers as she thinks over what to put on the off-white piece of paper in front of her. She shifts in her chair, sitting upright as she clicks the pen and starts to softly and neatly write out her words to her daughter.

---------------------------------------------------

Dear Daisy,

Oh god how I miss your face. I miss your laugh when Phil would joke around with you. I miss the way you would squirm when I would tickle you in the night. I miss when you would fall asleep on me during movie nights. The way you would go on and on about a computer program I couldn’t even pretend to understand, tinker with Mack in the garage with him nagging you, when you would randomly come up to cuddle or hug. I miss everything about you. I would even take back missing you when you ran away because you were always just in my reach.

I forgive you my love. I always forgave you, you mean everything to me and you always will. When you shut us out for your parents I understood. You needed them after so much time without them and we were there to pick you back up and we always would be. When it took control of you, I never blamed you and it just about killed me to hurt you like that. When I saw you, it broke my heart and I wanted so badly to help but you pushed me away – god why did you always do that – and I forgave you. I forgive you for what happened that day, my love. The day they shut you and left you defenseless. Even when they betrayed you, you gave yourself to them and protected them in your own way. Even with the drugs and the scalpels and the breakdowns you forgave him. You forgave them for leaving you behind and god how could you?
I can never forgive. I should’ve killed him when I had the chance. He might not have made the finishing kill but as soon as he slid that scalpel he killed you.

Daisy Johnson, The destroyer of worlds. God what a stupid name. I should’ve known when I felt the vibrations under my feet. I know what those mean but I knew what happened and I wanted to give you space. I was so dumb to do that. Melinda “The Cavalry” May, can’t even comfort her daughter or stop her from killing herself. When I came down there and saw you, I died right there with you. My ghost lay right with your disconfigured body, all my bones shattered, my heart stopped, lungs collapsed, my blood stopped flowing and my body decayed into the ground with you.

You killed yourself with your own powers, let your bones break and your organs stop but you dragged us all down with you. Fitz died saving the world, but he never rejoined the team after the night he killed you. Jemma went crazy and ran to space to save him. We never found her full body, only pieces. Mack could never get back with Elena after what she said to you, he lives in the lighthouse and never lets himself away from work except to drink a bottle. I don’t even know where Elena is anymore. She ran off after we saved the world and was never heard from again to my knowledge. Coulson was so broken when he heard what happened, he died not long after that. Why did you have to do that? We could’ve helped. We could’ve lessened the wounds like we have so many times before. I’m so sorry for shutting you out my love. Please forgive me as you have so many others for what I’ll do after this, I love you so so much Dais.

You always gave others so much more than they gave you and for that I never understood. Now you can finally rest and focus on yourself.

My husband and my daughter, I’ll see you soon. – Melinda May

The woman shuddered as she clicked her pen closed and shut her eyes. She opened them and grabbed a cloth, dabbing the small teardrops on the paper. She grabbed the envelope and neatly placed the letter in it. In large cursive words she wrote “MY LOVE” on the back and placed it in the tall pile of letters marked for everyone she’s loved, alive or dead, throughout her life. She walks over to the chair in the middle of her room, lacing her hands around the intricately tied rope and wrapping the noose around her neck.

She whispers just under her breath so only she can hear, “My dearest ones, here I come. Mama, dada, please forgive me.” She shuts her eyes tightly as she steps off the wooden chair.
