Chapter 7
For the last day of the trip, they set up a bonfire outside the cottage. The group shared stories while eating ramen and grilled pork. And since the night is still young, Chaehyun suggested that they play games, which they did, until she remembers Seola has a Jenga. Seola hesitates to give it to her but it's no use as Chaehyun is stubborn.
"Oh. Just as I thought! It's a couple jenga! You were planning to play it with Yujin unnie alone, right? A little couple game, huh? Did we mess up your plan, Seola unnie?" Chaehyun teased.
"Not really. We're playing it with her anyway." Seola's smug face earns an 'Oh!' from Chaehyun, a chuckle from Yujin, and a scoff from Xiaoting.
They started playing. The first few dares and questions were nothing exclusive for couples like, 'When was your first kiss?', hug me for 30 seconds, and holding hands for the entire round. But they also got one that says, kiss me on the neck, and the other, pass a snack to me by mouth. It elicit giggles and screams, mostly from Chaehyun, especially when it was done by Seola to Yujin.
Like now. Seola got a dare to 'turn on a romantic song and slow dance.' She automatically goes to Yujin, let out her hand, and asks her to dance. She puts her arms around Yujin's waist, while Yujin put hers around Seola's neck. They started to move slowly then Seola twirls Yujin around and catches her on her arms making both of them giggle. If the other two didn't know it was a dare, they would think they were a couple having a romantic date. They look so lost in each other that Xiaoting has to ask Chaehyun to break them apart.
Next is Chaehyun who picked 'Remove three pieces of clothing' in which she took out her jacket, and her socks: debating that the count for the socks should be two and not one. She doesn't want to remove any clothing anymore. They let her pass. More like, they surrender to her reasoning.
It is Xiaoting's turn next. She gulped when she reads to herself what was written on the block. 'Kiss your partner for two minutes.' She glanced at Yujin who is also looking at her waiting for whatever the dare is. Her gaze falls down to Yujin's lips making her turn away in an instant.
"Can't I pass? This is not doable for me." She said chuckling nervously after reading to the group what is written.
"Eyy. We agreed with no passing, right? Do it with Yujin." Xiaoting looks at Seola surprisingly. Why is she pushing to do it with her? Hello, this is a kiss?
"It doesn't say on the lips though. You can kiss on the cheeks or on the hands. You can do it with Chaehyun-i too. Just no passing." Seola smirks at her as if she knows what's on her mind. She scoffs at herself. Why is her first thought of a kiss on the lips with Yujin?
"Ok. Come here, Chaehyun-i." She said in a brighter tone masking the nervousness she got from that thought. She pulls Chaehyun close to her but the youngest is resisting, pushing Yujin on her instead.
"Aaaahhhh. Not me. Not me." Chaehyun whines playfully, shaking her head. "Yujin unnie. Go, go." Chaehyun caught Yujin off guard and managed to push her enough for her to lose balance and for Xiaoting to catch her. The younger supported her so they can both stand up. Now, they are just standing side by side.
It's taking the dare some time as the Chinese member hesitates to do it with the leader.
"Come on, you two. It's just a dare." Seola commented.
"Yeah. Or, we would give you another dare more difficult than that." Chaehyun reminded.
Yujin, not wanting to kill the vibe, plays it cool. She looks at Xiaoting and nods at her as a sign she's fine with it.
Xiaoting sigh relief for two things. One, Yujin gives her a go. Two, that she doesn't have to deal with Chaehyun's dare. She's sure her roommate will tease the hell out of her if ever.
The Chinese girl turns her body fully in the direction of the leader. Her gaze went from Yujin's eyes, to her nose, and down to her lips. Afraid she might do something crazy, she placed a kiss on Yujin's cheek quickly. She looks away shyly, only to be reminded that two minutes had not passed yet. That prompted her to look back at Yujin. Her eyes were shaky, asking her what to do.
"Whatever you want to."
Yujin said just loud enough for her to hear. The older's words are tempting. So Xiaoting did what she wanted to.
Well, not really, but almost.
The younger took Yujin's chin with her index finger before she leans closer. She then cups the leader's face. Seola and Chaehyun watched with bated breath as to what will happen next.
Loud gasps from the other two followed when she finally closed the gap between her and Yujin. Chaehyun has to hold Seola who stood up the moment she saw it. Xiaoting turned her back to the two, blocking their view of Yujin.
With their angle, Xiaoting made it look like she was bluntly kissing their leader. But in reality, it was just her thumb she was kissing. When she cupped Yujin's face, she put her thumb on the leader's lips and kiss it. It might look stupid but it was the closest she can do. Besides, tilting her head, she can still feel the corner of Yujin's lips on hers as she's only covering the middle. It is enough to send a shocking electric wave through her system, making her heart pound fast and strong against her chest.
She wanted more and she has to respond to it. She moved an inch back to slowly slide down her thumb, exposing Yujin's upper lip which she finally kissed without restraint. But before she could process what the new feeling of Yujin's lip on hers brings, her partner was pulled away by Seola back to her chair. The two minutes are over.
She stood there for a while, thinking that Yujin must be some kind of liquor. Because how can she makes her feel dizzy and hazed just with that? She didn't even get to kiss her entirely, yet she was already addicted. Yujin is intoxicating, and that is the kind she liked, wanted, and needs.
