Ned and Peter layed on the the ladders couch on the highest floor in Stark industries. Peter's room, decked out in hundreds of video games, streaming sites, and Lego sets, we're the pairs go to hang out spot. With Ned laying on the couch and peter laying next to him ever so lightly draping their legs over eachother.
Peter shifted awkwardly and closed his phone. "Ned?"
"Hm?" His incredibly inteligent tech nerd of a best friend didn't turn away from the TV, as he played lego star wars intensely. He almost feared that he'd burn holes on the very large very expensive flat screen.
Disrigarding his friends negligence to the conversation. Maybe this would work in his favor? Maybe he would notice what he was about to say and peter could forget about any feeling hes ever had ever! Okay thats a little unrealistic. Still Peter had to get this off his chest. For weeks now he felt as if he couldn't breath with the massive amount of feeling he'd been carrying, and ignoring his worries, he persevered, "I think I love you."
"Yeah I love you too bro." Peter bit back the flinch he felt. He could have given up there. Ned would never suspect anything and their friendship would persevere! But he couldn't hold it back anymore. He needed to tell him.
Quickly taking a breath in he spoke again, "No like. Like I thinkI'mINlovewithyou..." His words slipped so quickly he thought Ned didn't even understand him.
"Oh..." Ned kept staring at the TV until he threw his head in the direction of Peter. His lego persona exploding into several pieces as he was shot straight in the heart, "OH!"
Peter stood from the couch and slowly backed away from him. "Oh gosh, I'm so sorry. I know that's so weird, I shouldn't have just blurted that out!" He jabered and swung his arms around his face trying to hide both his blush from both emberasement and drom confessing. Ned stood from his place on the couch and firmly placed his arms on Peter's shoulders.
"Peter! Peter!" He shook him every slightly too agressively, "It's alright! I love you too... Like I'm in love with you too..."
"Oh... cool..."
Ned watched as all the cogs in Peter's head turned. One by one putting the puzzle pieces together. The lego pieces together?
"Cool, yeah thats cool." He composed himself as he let the blush cool down. "Ned?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I... kiss you?"
"Y-yeah." Both boys faces turned a scarlet red as Peter placed his hand on his bestfriend? Boyfriend? Beloved. And planted the kiss. The kiss which was so soft and gentle and childish with giddy smiles and huffed out laughs. And for the first time in weeks Peter felt like he could breath again.
