Chapter 1
The sun dimly shone upon the city, Earth 29’s Brooklyn, suddenly, a web flew across one building to another, the owner of said web dodging a blow from her attacker, she kept swinging from building to building, dodging attacks
“Alright people, let’s start this from the beginning, shall we? My name, is Nikki Cally, and for the last 3 months, I’ve been this worlds one and only, spiderwoman, and let me tell you, it ain’t all it’s cracked up to be, for example, every day, I have one of these-“ she was cut off by her web being cut, she tumbled the floor, trying to shoot another web only to hear ‘clink’. Her webbing was caught.. great. She ran along the street, dodging swipe after swipe, one of her attacks claws slicing into her arm, she winced but kept running, eventually stopping as she crawled on the roof of a subway, sighing as she caught her breath “as I was saying… I have one of these idiots, trying to kill me. That one, was Adriana, or as she’s insistent on calling herself, The Prowler, she’s hunting me for as long as .. he pays, and let’s face it, he isn’t gonna stop anytime soon, but I’ll be fine… I guess-“ she felt a shiver down her spine, she narrowly dodged a claw to the face
“Cmon Girly, your outskilled, and outta webs. Give in already.”
Nikki took off the mask, showing her bloody and beaten face “I’ll…I’ll pass.”
“You think showin’ me your face will save you?”
“No… but you wanna know what will?”
“What?”
“Skills.” She pressed a button on her web shooter, the clogged webs shooting onto her face, narrowly pushing her down enough to miss the roof that she was about to get hit by, Nikki sighed, putting back on her mask
“The cops ask, Tell em’ SpiderShock got you-“
“Down on the ground!” A woman’s voice yelled, the subway slowing to a halt
“Miss Cally, sorry, Chief Cally, and I mean this in the best way… Im trying to have an inner monologue and you are MAJORLY screwing it up! I’ve been cut off three times now!”
“Down on the ground! I won’t say it again, Spider.”
“Full names SpiderShock but sure you can shorten it.. but just one quick thing.”
“What?”
“You might wanna stop her..” she pointed to Adriana, who was now free and running away from the pair, Chief Cally sighed
“I’ll get you next time…”
“Mhm, sure you will…” she sighed, fixing her right webshooter and thwipping away, sliding right into her bedroom, clambering onto her bed
“Hey.” Gwen said bluntly
Nikki sighed and looked at her “Hey..”
“How bad is it?”
“Busted lip, cut arm, dislocated finger..”
“Thanks for that one, Siri.”
Nikki eye rolled “I hate you.”
“Love you too..” she smiled “I’ll fix the lip and stuff in the morning, but that fingers gotta be fixed no-“
Nikki silently snapped it back into place, wincing a tiny bit, Gwen shook her head and walked out, she layed back down as she shut her eyes, not even a minute later, she opened them to see Gwen, well, not HER Gwen, but a different Gwen, Spider-Gwen, smiling back at her
“Nikki! You got a minute?”
