Accompanying the Princess around the Fire Nation Royale Palace for weeks proves to be a lot of work to do and quite enjoyable to Suki. Azula might be stubborn and tend to be blunt sometimes (well most of the time) she actually enjoy bantering with her more than she expected. The princess' humor kind of reminds her of her ex, Sokka. Both failing when they tried to be funny and end up saying hilarious things even if they're not joking, not to mention their love for sarcasm and puns. She's growing more fond of the Azula more than she had anticipated.
But lately she's starting to notice some weird changes on Azula. She would often ask questions about her. She wants to learn more about her Kyoshi Warrior heritage and in exchange the princess also shared some important culture of Fire Nation with her. She's often requesting her to join her for a quick lunch and sometimes a dinner. It's almost seems like she wants to get to know her more.
Then one night Azula suggested for them to go stargazing. In which she agreed because truth to be told she kinda look forward spending time with her too. They're sitting on the balcony of one of the palace's tower. Azula claimed it's a good spot since they will see the view more clearly there. And as always she's right....
"Wow, it really beautiful here" Suki exclaimed, just when she thought she already traveled around the most beautiful places.
"Well, not as beautiful as you are" the princess replied nonchalantly then winks at her. The action made Suki blush more than she intended, her shyness prompted Azula to laugh lightly.
"I don't know how to respond to that compliment, princess." She saw how Azula rolled her eyes when she mentioned her title.
"I already told you many times you can drop the title already, and you don't need to response for now" the princess smile then take her hand and kisses the back of it. "But, incase you haven't noticed I am flirting with you"
Suki giggled at the gesture, she looks into the princess eyes there's no glint of malice there and there's no reason for her to lie so she decided to humor her.
"Well, let's see how far your flirting can take you, Azula" she replied smiling lovingly to her.
