Summary
Pedro Peralta always thought his life was like those Filipino movies and tv shows... no parents-adopted by his aunt/uncle and hopefully a happy ending. However, everything changes when he's bitten by the Philippine tangerine spider his friends give him for his birthday.
Note
While watching Across the Spider-Verse, I realized most spider people have that very Filipino background of randomly being adopted by his aunt/uncle. So many characters in Filipino movies/tv shows have that background, but I couldn't find a Filipino Spider-Man. So he's my take on one of my favorite superheros.

Introduction

Outside the House

A mound crawling with ants lights up a small orange glow. The intensity of the light grows as the ants slow their movements. 

SWITCH.

A light from inside the house turns on. The glow from the mound vanishes. 

"Is anyone out there?"

STEP. STEP. STEP. 

Pedro stands over the mound. 

"Why is this still here?" He says as he looks around the otherwise plain yard. There's no garden, just grass and this mound crawling with ants. He sighs.

"I'll just get rid of it tomorrow." Pedro walks back inside the house. The mound lights another small glow.
