“Jesus Christ Hobie,” Miles leaned back, so his back hit the rug behind him. “We’ve been on this level for 2 hours”
“Yeah, calm down big man,” Hobie said with that smirk that he always has. Miles was sure that it was a targeted attack against his heart.
“Don’t tell me to calm down,” Miles sulked as he restarted the level
“You know babe, I think that these games-,”
“Are the government way for training recruits for war or whatever, you say this everytime,” Miles was staring at the screen, he must have changed the mode to single player so he could clear the level with out Hobie’s terrible skill with the controller. Miles must have been too engrossed in the game when Hobie pulled him down and flipped him so he was on top of him.
Miles let out an embarrassing sound, and avoided making direct eye contact which proved difficult in such close proximity. “Fuck you Hobie, now I have to start this level again,”
“Sorry babes, shouldn’t be so ravishing next time,” Hobie was always annoyingly unapologetic
“You look like you’re about to eat me,” Hobie pulled his face back so he can look at him and began to place fleeting kisses on his face, Hobie was the type to pretend to take bite out of Miles,he probably had several pictures that they took together of Hobie doing that exact pose and everytime that Miles would ask why he would simply say that he would he could eat him up and he meant that both ways.
“So what if I am?” Miles rolled his eyes but the butterflies that erupted in his stomach when Hobie leaned down and ghosted his lips with his own were making it incredibly hard to stay in character.
“I have homework to do,” Hobie grunted as he was pushed off by Miles, however he was quick to pull Miles back down.
“Babe, you know every Spider-Man has that same shit excuse,”
He couldn’t say that Hobie was wrong exactly), but he hated the fact that he was right. He had already spent ages complaining about finishing his homework to Hobie, but he had completed it now hence the reason he wasn’t at his desk and rather he was playing games.
“I should have known it wouldn’t work for you,” Miles shrugged and Hobie seemed to not care, seeing as he still had the same heart eyes that he had prior.
“You know, you are 2nd most sexy when you’re flustered,”
“What’s the first?” Hobie smirked.
“When you’re angry,” Miles almost regretted asking, Hobie had already roped him into a longer conversation than he would have liked about how Miguel was actually a certified Dilf due to the fact that he was chronically angry. Miles knew that Hobie was taking the piss however as he would confess countless times a day to Miles and yet everytime felt like it was the first.
“You’re just a smooth talker,”
“Is it working,” Hobie was impossibly close, the metal from his lip ring cooling on Miles lips as he hovered over them; by now he was struggling to even want to push Hobie away.
“Maybe,” he couldn’t say anything else when Hobie pressed his lips against his, though it would be assumed that the kiss would be passionate, it was more giddy and loving like a first kiss done very well, without the hesitation or the awkward movements. Miles brought his hands up so he could wrap them around Hobie’s shoulders.
Hobie pulled back after a few quick pecks ever so slightly so their noses were still grazing each other.
“You are driving me mad Miles Morales,” he whispered before pressing another kiss to his lips almost as though he couldn’t do without it.
“I have that effect on people,”
“You know, you might just be the one thing that I want to keep consistent forever,”
For some reason, it felt like Hobie has just said something so groundbreaking to Miles, it was causing his eyes to water and would keep him going for a long time yet, Just to know that you could mean so much to someone else was for Miles the most beautiful thing someone would say,
“I love you too,” Hobie gives a giddy smile, one he didn’t see very often because Hobie was adamant that he was never the one to be made to blush. However it was at times like this where he cracked and it looked as though he could start kicking his feet and drawing their initials in hearts in a notebook.
“More than this game?”
“Don’t push it cariño,”
“Speak Spanish to me baby,”
“Shut up Hobie,”
He did shut up- talking was kind of hard when your lips are concerned by someone else’s.
