Bucky: Gonna tell Sam today
Nat: Thats what you said when you asked Sam out 3 months ago
Steve: And what you say before every date
Steve: Where are you guys going this time
Bucky: Secret.
Nat: let us know if you chicken out
Sam’s POV
MESSAGE TO: Bucky <3
Bucky: What r u doing tonight.
Sam: The chemistry homework we’re BOTH supposed to be doing.
Bucky: Okay cancel them
Sam: I can’t I don’t wanna fall behind if I fall behind on my work I won't qualify for this scholarship.
Bucky: What type of work.
Sam: AP Chem, AP Psych, APUSH and APES
Bucky: Forgot I'm dating the world's biggest overachiever.
Sam: Funny really. I have to get back to work though
Bucky: Just give me 2 hours max. And i promise i’ll get you any assignment you need.
Sam: I don't know Bucky.
Bucky: I’ll be at your house at 9. Unless you really don't want to
Sam: 9:30?
Bucky: Its gonna be great.
Sam had changed his shirt 3 different times yet, none of them looked right. He knew the shirt he wore didn’t matter but he still wanted to look nice. It didn’t help that Bucky refused to tell him where they were going in the name of surprises.
“SAMMMMMMMMM BUCKETS HERE” Sarah shouted from the bottom of the stairs. Sam hurriedly threw a shirt on and grabbed his wallet. He was going to murder Sarah. She knew Bucky’s name; she was just doing this to embarrass him.
“Sarah, unfunny as usual. Hi Bucky” Sam grinned praying he didn’t sound to happy. “I’ll be back before midnight. Love you Sar.” And with that they were out the door.
“So Bucky care to tell me where we’re going” Sam asked, buckling himself up.
“And ruin the surprise no way Sam Sam. I will say that you look beautiful today”
The pair drove chattering aimlessly for twenty minutes before Bucky finally pulled into the parking lot of what looked like a forgotten park.
“We drove all this way to come to an abandoned park” Sam raised his eyebrows questioningly it just didn’t make sense as to why Bucky thought this was so important.
“Wow Sam for someone so smart you sure do miss a lot. Read the sign”
“Wimbledon Bird Sanc-.....BUCKY YOU DIDN’T” Sam gasped “There's no way. Bucky Thank you so much.”
“Anything for you Birdy Boy. Now help me get the picnic stuff out of the trunk”
Sam couldn’t stop smiling the whole time he was with Bucky. He was so lucky to have found someone who knew him so well. Bucky was everything he could ever ask for in a boyfriend. He was sweet, funny, loyal, honest and just an amazing boyfriend in general.
Bucky’s Pov
Bucky didn’t know why he thought it would be easier to tell Sam the news if he made sure Sam was super happy first. Instead, all it was doing was making Sam look amazing the moonlight and distracting Bucky. Eventually Bucky finally decided it was now or never and that he had to tell Sam.
“Sam '' Bucky starts grabbing Sam's hand praying silently to any god that would listen that Sam wouldn’t hate him after he found out the truth. “I have something to tell you it’s important.”
“Me too Bucky. I know its only been three months ,but I feel like we’ve really clicked and it just… You don’t have to say it back. I love you Bucky.”
Bucky opened and shut his mouth searching for something he could say. It’s not like he could tell Sam about the bet now that would simply be cruel. So instead Bucky says “I love you too Samsam”
After Bucky dropped Sam off he parked in his driveway and just stared into the distance there was just no way out. No matter what he did Sam was going to hate him there wasn’t even an option that would make Sam hate him less. Bucky sighed he just didn’t know how things got so messed up so fast.
Sam’s Pov
Sam could only describe the way he felt after his date as complete and utter bliss. Things with Bucky had just been so great they had went on so many fun dates and they even had cute study sessions like in the movies. Sam could only describe things as perfect. Even his family and friends picked up on it. The only friend who didn’t seem too happy with Sam and Bucky’s relationship was Riley. Which made sense of course, Riley’s dad forced him to play football and because of this Riley hated everybody on the football team. So, Bucky being on the football team really didn’t help his case. So now Sam found himself dodging Rileys calls, ignoring Riley’s text messages and even going as far as avoiding him at school. It was just Sam couldn’t deal with negativity right now especially not while everything else in his life was so good. So eventually Sam was gonna read Rileys texts and stop hiding but not right now not while he was so happy.
MESSAGE TO: THREE LITTLE BIRDS
Rhodey: will you guys be attending tony’s party
Riley: Mandatory for the football team…. Unfortunately
Sam: Pass
Rhodey: Your boyfriend will be there
Sam: Don’t care
Riley: Speaking of Barney Sam I’m about to call you I need to tell you something
Sam: Can’t talk rn I’m shopping with Sarah. I’ll see about the party gtg guys.
Bucky's Pov

Steve: Party at Tony’s friday!!!
Nat: we know.
Nat: Lover boy will you be in attendance.
Bucky: Mandatory for the football team. Something about team bonding
Steve: Is Samsam coming?
Bucky: Only I call him that Steven. And no he doesn’t like parties plus he’ll probably be studying he’s trying to get into the ivies and unfortunately they don't let people in based on looks or he’d be a shoe in.
Nat: The ass kissing is sickening
Nat: and is it that sam doesn’t like parties or that you don’t want him around the football team.
Bucky: Goodnight guys!! I have a chem test tmr! Stay breezy
