Carol Danver's Nightmare
Dreams, Dreams, Dreams. Sometimes it's a daydream but mostly a nightmare. That's what Carol has been feeling. The air of Harpswell forest cliffs into the sea has been warning her something. It causes her delusions and sometimes a nightmare where a root vein is menacingly wrapping and shutting her up, wanting for air. She explodes from her mind and the outside force took a wind blow wave enough to knock people out of their place. She was listening to the trees and air when she falls asleep again. This time her dreams a woman voice calls out her name. She looks around but she can't see anything only the stars of the milky way galaxy and some Seqouia trees. Sequioa trees, Carol's mind wandered in that thought. An accuser hammer stand in her left and her mother in a pink skin. That must be wrong. Her mother; Marie Danvers spoken to her.
"Something's coming, my dreamer. You are an avenger. Call the hammer. Accuse." After that, Carol felt odd as she pointed towards the moon.
Carol look at the moon then back to her mother. She was gone. Blue Flame was catching her like an avalanche and so she run, barefooted in the slowest move she felt in her entire life. She jumped into the sea. Expectingly to freeze but instead she saw a clips of a fast forward events. that cause a whirlpool around her, she tries to stop the whirlpool by blasting the wave from her, but when she did, frozen statues of tree-plant like people being murdered by Kree soldiers. She couldn't understand that. She tried to touch it; a black goo is covering her arms. She was shocked by this. She read one time, that ghost cause black goo it's a vengeful spirit. But whatever this is, it's not good. She tries to shake it off, but it didn't do anything. She felt the water is pulling her back to the sea. A storm in the horizon. Carol tries to swim back to the shores she tries to use her powers, but they are no avail. She tries for help, and nobody rescue her until she was eaten by the storm in the sea.
Real-time Dimension
Thor was getting concerned when Carol hasn't returned any of their calls. This is usual for Carol to do her vanishing act but there's an intelligence about another invasion she needs to know. Tony used his resources to locate Carol and he found out that Carol is in the middle of the sea with her back on the top of the water like she was drowned victim and showing no response at all. Thor and Tony fly to Harpswell Forest and Beach and she was not hard to find as a pod of dolphin trying to wake her up.
"Good job, dolphins. You have found our friend," Tony said to the family of Dolphin who didn't leave them until Carol was brought to a beach, "Thor," Tony called him.
"On it," Thor understood as he prepares to shock Carol with his Mjolnir.
As soon as the lighting strikes her heart. She immediately wakes up and Thor put his hands cupping her face and kissin' her forehead and hug her. Carol look at Thor.
"What happened?" Carol asks Thor as she was disoriented from her dreams.
"Well, we are trying to contact you, and we couldn't reach you, and so, we found you here. How did you end up here?" Thor asks Carol.
"I don't know," Still trying to remember her nightmare.
"Yeah... because you need your new stark phone again. This one explodes," Tony said to them which the dolphins make a noise. "Oh... and the dolphins found you first and better than we did,"
Carol went to the pod of dolphins and sent them on their way as she states that she was fine. Thor notice Carol's long blond wavy hair like the woman who Barton's kid watch Moana, who are asking if Maui is real?
"Carol, are you okay?" Thor ask as he hug Carol from her back and make close to him by their waists.
"I had a bad dream. An accuser hammer calling me," Carol said as she makes way to face Thor and held Mjolnir in his hands, "Does that mean Accuser hammer can also choose who owns them, or someone will make me one?"
"I don't know about that Carol," Thor said holding Carol dearly, "I wish I knew the answer."
Tony felt uncomfortable between this new relationship between Thor and Carol. I mean, before he was teasing them when Tony knows Thor as Dr. Blake and Carol were still human with a psycho spy ability but now, these hits different and for some reasons, he wished it was him.
"Well, now that we found you Carol, there is an intelligence saying a New Kree/Skrull war will happen on Earth and on their main planet. Their new emperor said that the threat was coming from the Earth," Tony said to her.
"Wait, new emperor? They... they got new emperor?" Carol asks Tony and Thor.
"Aye, Kree/SKrull empire bestow new leader and power to someone," Thor said shrugging his shoulder.
"Someone, huh? that's weird," Carol said as her mind snaps back two nights ago, "I mean why would the two empires become one? Maybe, it has something to do with my dreams that kept getting weird before this I have dreamt of chair below the moon and above the sea with Sequioa trees on it, and in the surface of water was two people fighting for a throne, I didn't make it out who were they but what if my dreams is connected to what's happening now," Carol said realizing that the Mother Earth was trying to convey a message that will harm the planet in many ways, "I need magical consults to test my dreams."
Then the lands began to move Gaia, Mother Earth, was breathing heavily. The roots are moving in and out of their lands. It's like their alive. Carol, Thor, and Tony were startled by this.
"Something's happening and Grandmother Earth is not so happy," Thor said as he is visibly sweating.
"That is not good."
"Then we need to move, now!" Tony said dialing Dr. Strange and Wanda.
Sanctum Sanctorum
Dr. Stephen Strange and Wanda kept facing back and forth because of the SOS sent by Tony about Carol's dream and Wanda suspected something about his son's partner Teddy Kaplan who has been missing this past weeks and left Billy broken hearted because she can't wait, she uses her power to open a portal where Tony, Carol, and Thor were flying straight right into the portal and because no time to full break on their flying, they smash on the wall and Thor is on top, Tony in the middle and Carol underneath as she was the first to crash the wall.
"Should we start putting signs in the sky that says, 'SLOW DOWN WORMHOLE OPEN' sign?" Carol said while she's trying to escape from Tony and Thor's body.
"I am so sorry Carol, everyone is restless these days," Wanda said to Carol, reaching her hand to help Carol stand-up.
"Yeah, that includes you, my sister," Carol concluded Wanda's action.
"It's Billy. He's been so stressed on finding Teddy." Wanda tiringly said to Carol.
"Sorry, but I had this dream of Sequioa tress and two figures fighting about the throne or something?"
"That's why I am here, what if, one of them is Teddy? after all, he is half-Skrull and half-Kree?"
"Indeed," a new voice said that is too familiar for Carol.
30 minutes ago, outside Stark Industries
Steve Roger was going out with his motorcycle to go get some lunch while Tony and Thor retrieved Carol from the sea. When an old woman, on her 80's, peppered hair, wearing a beautiful hat, tap Steve on his shoulders.
"Good afternoon, Ma'am," Steve said with a salute, "Do you need any help?" Steve asks the old lady stranger seeing has a big, unusual box on her side.
"Yes, are you Steve Rogers?"
"I am Steve Rogers,"
"I am Marie Danvers, Carol Danver's mother," The old lady introduce herself.
"How can I help you, Mrs. Danvers?"
"Please, call me Marie. I have been trying to contact my daughter, but I can't reach her phone, and I needed to talk to her, Is she okay?"
In Steve's mind, was an oh-uh moment. She's already old and does not want to have heart attack knowing someone or something attack Carol while she is Harpswell. Good timing, Tony made text that Carol has been rescued and awake. Thank God, he does not need to lie to the old woman.
"Oh, she is. She is fine. Although, I don't know the real reason why she disappeared, which she totally does," Captain said as honest as possible with her.
"Is she here now? I need to talk to her," Marie said to Cap.
"Why don't we go inside first, and I talk to Tony if where they are now? because they have mission together with Thor?"
Steve text Tony and he replied 5 minutes late and said that they are in the Sanctum Sanctorum crash landed because Wanda opened a portal while they are flying and so they crashed land on Stephen's wall.
"Ma'am, they're in Sanctum Sanctorum," Steve informed Marie.
"Please, I have to talk to her, and this is important. Where is this sanctum, you said?"
"Three blocks from here?" Steve said to her.
"Thank you," Marie Danvers said.
Steve juggling his motor keys when Marie taps him with the big box on her other hand, and Marie warn him to hold.
"You might want to brace yourself," Marie said that make Steve confused.
Sanctum Sanctorum
In a span of a seconds, they have reached the sanctum with Steve in tow, and he was deeply shocked that he can't even speak.
"Is this the sanctum?" Marie asks Steve and he just pointed the door which is slightly open enough to hear the conversation of Wanda and Carol.
Marie walks in as soon as she heard about news that might be Teddy as the new emperor.
"Indeed," Marie said as all eyes on her and Steve on her back still can't speak and just shrugged.
"Mrs. Danvers!!!" Tony greeted her, "What are you doing here?"
"Ma..." Carol called her attention, "Hi!" Carol hug her mother, "Not that I don't want to see you, but uhm... what are you doing here? and what do you mean 'Indeed'?" and what is that boxes you got there?"
Marie took a deep breath, and she holds Carol's hand.
"Pumpkin, listen to me. There's something I need to tell you, the truth about me," Marie started.
"What?"
"Car-Ell?" Marie called her.
"What?!"
"Car-Ell is your real name," Marie said to Carol, then she touches a necklace Carol never seen before, something that turn her into pink-skinned Kree alien, "This is the real me, Captain Mari-Ell, Champion of the Kree Empire, First of the Supreme Protectorate, Daughter of Hala, By Blood right and by Starlight,"
"Ma! Stop it! This is crazy, you're you, you... cook pancakes and stuff for Joe and I,"
"I'm saying that my past might caught on me, and what I know is what you need, and I took this card out in the table right now, so, that I can go back being an old lady,"
"So, you're telling me,"
"She's telling you that she is a Kree soldier with an honor to be Empress Pam'a captain royal elite guard, whom I haven't seen since the ages," Thor make a shorter explanation to Carol.
"You haven't seen me for 100 years, your majesty," Mari-Ell corrected him.
"Does Father know?" Carol ignoring the small exchange by Marie and Thor, she asks the next question.
"Absolutely, and as a spy for Kree, it is my utmost duty, to be undercover and no one should know my true identity but one time, your father brought me to a baseball game, I was careless, and Joseph told me if I did just float in the air? and I answered him, with who I really am, that's when I knew, I love your father, and that's when I also knew, if Kree found out I made my life here, neglecting my duties as warrior and spy, I'm gonna lost everything. After a thousand years of War in Kree, there can be no fairy tales, no bedtime stories, only legends of dead heroes. Told to children that they're no longer children, our parents are generals, our siblings' soldiers, only the strongest could live the weak shall die. How many friends I have killed to be in the position I went for, I have dreamt just like Yon-Rogg, just like Ron-an, to be part of the Kree growing empire the hunger to become the best of the best warrior, and bring the name of Kree everywhere on its knees but when I crash near Boston, Joseph show me something was unexpected, his kindness, his two children. No one taught me, what should I do when love is at stake, so, I change everything. I hide. Now, my absence became a high treason to the Empress Pam'a, so, if my Kree tracker beep... they will know where I am and a Kree Kleaner will bring me to my execution, and the reason, I'm telling you it's because my main purpose is overlooking the Cotati that is planted here on Earth?"
