All Aboard the Hogwarts Express!
Regulus had been exited to finally be able to go to Hogwarts. He wanted to finally see the place his older brother had been so enthralled about. The place his brother met his best friends, who call themselves "the marauders", which regulus though was kinda silly, but didn't say anything.
"Come on Reggie! I want you to meet my mates!" Sirius says, while grabbing regulus. "Merlin, okay okay!" Regulus says while being dragged across the platform to the train to meet Sirius friends that he's heard so much about. They finally reach the compartment where James, Remus, and Peter were sitting in. Sirius barges in, "Hey mates!" The words "hey" and "hi" quickly followed after. Remus was the first to ask about Regulus. "Who's that behind you?" Remus asks slightly confused. "Oh, this is Regulus, my younger brother! Say hi Reg!" "Hi" Regulus says quietly but loud enough for them to hear. "Well nice to meet you regulus!" James says, smiling. Regulus nods and gives a little smile. James, Peter and Sirius start talking about their summers and their trips to places like Paris. Regulus looks in-front of him and sees Remus, who was covered in scars, which regulus thought there kind of cool. Remus was reading a Book which he read the cover as "Romeo and Juliet" huh, must be a muggle story, Regulus though.
Regulus looked out the window as the train started moving, head filled with thoughts. One of them being what would happen if he didn't get sorted into Slytherin. A part of him secretly wanted to be sorted into Gryffindor, he thinks it would be nice to be closer to his brother but another part of him wouldn't really mind being in Ravenclaw. After all, Ravenclaw was seen slightly better than Gryffindor in his mothers eyes, but still seen as horrible to be sorted in. Regulus wondered what would happen if he got sorted into Ravenclaw. Would his mother be angry? Would she yell? Actually, never mind the last thought. Of course she would. She always does when things don't go the way she wants, which Regulus things is really stupid. But then again, he thinks a lot of things are stupid. Like blood status. He thinks it's stupid that people get treated differently if they don't have magic parents or only have one magic parents while the others a muggle. He finds the whole thing stupid but his mother thinks it's one of the most important things ever.
After a while, Regulus gets snapped out of his thought by Sirius who's saying that the train should be stopping soon and that they better put on their uniforms. Sirius and Regulus were the first ones dressed and back in the compartment. Sirius starts talking to Regulus. "Hey Reggie, what house do you think you’re going to be sorted in?" He asks. "I'm not sure, I just hope mother doesn't get mad about it." Regulus reply's with a worried tone. Sirius puts a hand on his shoulder, "Hey, don't worry about what she thinks. Just be yourself. That's what I did, and look! I turned out perfectly fine!" He says with pride. Regulus snorts, "yeah, perfect." He says chuckling. "Hey!" Sirius says while putting a hand to his chest, while laughing as well.
The others get back and sit back down and start planning a prank. "Hey why don't we charm the Slytherin's hair pink?" Peter suggested. "Peter you are a genius!" James says while patting Peter on the back. They start talking about what spells they would need to complete the prank with while Regulus just looks out the window.
A couple minutes later, the train comes to a stop. "Oh, looks like we're finally here!" Sirius says while looking out the window. "Come on Reg!" Sirius says excitedly. Sirius grabs his younger brothers hand and brings him out the compartment with the other marauders while Sirius and James excitedly talk about how their going to try out for quidditch this year.
