What should be discussed

Pepper had been super tired after a day of solving 1000 meetings to move SI forward. It was really mortifying work, but fruitful. It was about midnight and Tony was in the shower, after Pepper told him that under no circumstances was he going to put his head with unknown engine grease on the pillows with the freshly changed linen.
It took approximately 40 minutes for her to be interrupted by Tony Stark coming out with wet hair and very, very expensive red silk pajamas.

- Pepper, can you put the book down for a second? I want to tell you something.
- I'm sorry, I'm really tired. Can it wait until tomorrow?
- No love, I need to talk to you about something important before we go to sleep.

Tony was always the one who usually cut her off with the comments, but this had been on his mind all afternoon and evening. The 5 hours of lab with Peter, the pizza, the lunch, the training. Etc.
- Tonesssssssss.
Pepper put down the book and put on the eye cover . As she smiled at him. Tony tickled her and after a brief game with laughter. Pepper agreed to listen to him as he sat cross-legged on the bed.
- No Pep, this is urgent. We've had a conversation - I mean , the team and I, you know what I mean - with May Parker and ....
- What did you do to May, Tony!
- Nothing, come on, listen to me Hun. I promise. Just ...we've come to an agreement to be Peter's legal guardians and to be his emergency contacts at school.
- Tony, Really? I didn't expect us to move so fast. How did May react?
- Surprisingly, she understood our concerns and agrees that Peter needs a more stable environment. She said she trusts us to take care of him and support him.
- That's a relief. But are we really prepared to be legal guardians? It's a big responsibility, are you willing to have it? Peter has been through so much! And I just want it to work out then.
- I know it's a major commitment, Potts love . But we've discussed this at length and we both agree that we can provide Peter with a loving home and the support he needs. Plus, we have the backing of our resources and equipment ....
- Tony, this isn't just about money....
- That's not what I mean Pep.
- That's fine. If you think we can do it, I trust you. Peter deserves to have a stable family and ...we'll be there for him, no matter what.
- Thank you, Pep. I know that together we can make a difference in Peter's life and help him grow up in a safe and loving environment?
- Tony, are you kidding?
- No, I don't know, isn't that the typical thing to say? I don't know how to express myself. That's why I need you with me on this.
- I'm ready to make this commitment, Tony. We'll work together to make sure Peter has a future.
- We sound like parents, Tony...
- Well it's just a mentorship, you know.
- I know you Tony and if it wasn't for this dream of mine, I'd bet anything that you'd want to sign an adoption paper.
- I think it's best not to answer that.
- Aha, Tony. Keep lying to yourself. Happy night Tonessssssssss
- Happy night Pepper potttieeeee.
- Well, that had gone as he expected.
