Love is Love

The kiss goes as viral as Sam had imagined, it goes all over the media and they talk about it everywhere. Sam saves an image of the moment and puts it on wallpaper, but then he thinks better, removes it and puts it in the background in his conversation with Bucky, seeing the kiss they gave causes mixed feelings, but the truth is that he likes it a lot. Of course, there is no shortage of negative comments, criticism and even insults that both Bucky and he receive on their social networks and that it has not been 24 hours since it happened.
"Hey," he says to Bucky when he meets him, "Do you mind if I upload a picture of the kiss to my social networks?"
Bucky shakes his head and, although it is not much to share things in his networks (and less personal things) he thinks it would be a good idea to upload it too
"In fact, I think I'm going to upload it too, if that's okay with you.
"Sure, man," Sam says, trying to hide his amazement. Sam notices that, among his many notifications, there is one that indicates that he has been tagged in an Instagram post, when he opens it he discovers that it is a fanart of his kiss with Bucky, he shows it to the man, although they later discover that Bucky has also been tagged.
"I think I'll upload the drawing," Sam says.
"I'll do the same."
Sam nods and reminds Bucky to tag the artist, before getting to work on his publication.
Bucky sees Sam writing and, although he had thought of just putting some Hastag, he decides to write something too, even if he is not as good with words as Sam. Surprisingly, once he starts writing he finds it quite easy

"Mmm, can you check it before I publish it?" —asks Bucky somewhat uncertainly. Sam nods
"Give me a moment to finish mine so you can review it too.
Bucky accepts, feeling happy with Sam's trust in him and waits until Sam finishes, reviewing his post. Once the other man is done they swap phones

It is almost absurd how much Bucky's text provokes in Sam, he has to control himself more than ever in his life not to kiss him because it is not appropriate and, after the conversation with his nephews, Sam knows that it is not what Bucky wants. His heart shrinks thinking that the other man has only kissed him trying to help, that Bucky does not believe that they can be together and feels bad, bad for his unrequited feelings, but above all bad for Bucky, who has kissed him because he thought it was what he had to do, that he is exposing himself to public opinion, Although he hates it because he wants to help people he doesn't know and make the world a better place.
"Sam?" "Bucky's voice comes through his thoughts—"All right?
Sam nods and swallows
"All great, Bucky, good post. The truth is that I loved it
Bucky smiles and is an almost shy smile, one of Sam's favorites.

Sam nods and doesn't bother to retrieve his phone, sends Bucky's post and watches as the other man imitates him. The likes and comments start to arrive, some are negative, but most are positive and, in fact, Sam and Bucky confirm what they had glimpsed from the kiss that there are many people who ship them and even think they are together.
