Meeting Pavitr Prabhakar

Meeting Pavitr Prabhakar was supposed to happen. It was a part of the plan. Becoming his friend was not a part of the plan.

The day I met Pavitr Prabhakar started off like any other. I woke up, made coffee, drank coffee, got my siblings ready for the day, took them to school, made sure someone could pick them up, went to HQ, met with Hobie and Gwen, grabbed the coffee that Hobie got for me, and then we went to the meeting with Miguel. Just a normal day. Then Miguel tells us about the day's mission. Since we are younger we don't get but one mission a day, two if we are lucky. Anyways, Miguel tells us we will be recruiting a newer Spiderman.

"When you say 'new', how new we talkin'?" I ask being the first to pipe up.

"Well...uh, about a month-"

"What?! One month and you already want him to become part of the society?" Gwen asked clearly irritated.

Miguel sighs and continues, "His name is Pavitr Prabhakar. He lives in Mumbattan, India on Earth-50101." The three of us look at him unsure of this whole thing. "Just do it. "

Hobie crosses his arms, "I don't work for you mate."

Miguel gave him a death glare "Then why are you here? Why do you have a watch?" Hobie just held up his arms and shrugged.

"Honestly?" Hobie looked at me then at Gwen, "I'm here for emotional support." Gwen and I both smack his arms, "Ay! That hurts!" We both roll our eyes.

"We're gone, Miguel. Don't miss us too much!" I say on my way out as I push Hobie out the door.

TWENTY MINUTES LATER IN MUMBATTAN

"Okay, we are definitely lost," Gwen says as she takes a seat on a rooftop, "Why can't we find this Provalone guy?"

I roll my eyes as I hear Hobie chuckle at Gwen's remark, "Firstly, it's Pavitr. Secondly....I don't know." Both Hobie and Gwen groaned, "Oh stop compla-" Hobie was then hit in the head with something and he fell down on the roof.

"OH MY GOSH HOBIE" Cried Gwen.

"You good?" I ask him, not as worried as Gwen but not because I don't care, but because he has been through worse.

But before Hobie could respond we hear someone frantically saying, "I'M SORRY!!!"

I look over to where the 'I'm Sorrys' are coming from and I see someone swing from another building, "That's our guy." Gwen looks at me confused as the person lands on the rooftop with us. Hobie has sat up holding his hand over where he was hit.

"Oh my gosh!!!" Pavitr said as landed on the rooftop with us, "I am so sorry! Are you alright?" he asked with a lot of concern in his eyes...or at least I think he is I can't really tell from behind the mask.

"Yeah mate, I'm alright." Hobie looked at him amused at how nervous this kid was.

I stepped forward, introducing ourselves, "We're from the Spider Society. I'm Rosa, this is Gwen, and that's Hobie."

Pavitr, still apologetic, tilted his head slightly, "Spider Society? What's that?"

I smirked, "We're the ones who make sure the bad guys don't get too comfortable. You know, keeping the multiverse safe and all that jazz."

Gwen chimed in, "Miguel, our boss, sent us to recruit you. You're the new kid on the spider block."

Pavitr, looking surprised, asked, "Me? Why would he want me?"

Hobie, rubbing his head, replied, "Mate, you got skills. We, personally, think you'd be a good addition."

Pavitr scratched his head, "I'm flattered, really, but I've got responsibilities here. I can't just swing around the world saving people."

I raised an eyebrow, "You swing around?"

Pavitr chuckled nervously, "Yeah, well, you know, for fun."

Gwen smirked, "Fun, huh? Trust me, it's a lot more fun when you're doing it to save lives."

Pavitr considered it for a moment, then nodded, "Alright, count me in. But can I still swing around for fun sometimes?"

Hobie laughed, "Kid, you're gonna fit right in." And with that, our unlikely team of spiders was formed.

From that rooftop in Mumbattan, Pavitr Prabhakar officially became a part of our eclectic Spider Society. Little did he know, he was in for a wild ride with us.

As we swung through the city, introducing Pavitr to the ins and outs of being a Spider, Gwen couldn't help but tease him, "So, Pavitr, any special spider powers you got?"

Pavitr, still adjusting to the idea, scratched his head, "Well, I have enhanced agility and strength, and this funky 'Spidey-Sense' thing that tingles when danger is near."

Hobie chuckled, "Classic Spidey package. You'll get used to it."

Riding the city's skyline, we explained the Spider Society's mission – to maintain balance, protect innocent lives, and, of course, have each other's backs. Pavitr listened intently, realizing the gravity of his newfound role.

"So, are there, like, initiation rituals or something?" Pavitr asked with a hint of nervousness.

Gwen smirked, "Just surviving Hobie's coffee is initiation enough."

Hobie protested, "Oi, my coffee's not that bad!"

We shared a laugh, the camaraderie forming effortlessly. Pavitr was becoming one of us, and it felt oddly natural. His infectious enthusiasm added a new dynamic to our group, making the web-swinging adventures not just a duty but a shared joy.

Pavitr's unique perspective and cultural richness injected a fresh energy into our conversations. As we patrolled the city's skyline, he shared tales of Mumbattan's bustling streets, its vibrant markets, and the diverse tapestry of people who called it home. In return, we regaled him with stories of our own worlds, weaving a narrative that transcended borders and dimensions.

And that my friends is how I met and became friends with Pavitr Prabhakar.
