Amazing Spider-Man: True Purpose
Summary
What if there was another reason why the Phoenix Force was heading to Earth? What if it wasn't only there to claim young Hope as its new avatar and help her restore mutants? In fact, what if the big cosmic bird never really cared for any of that and all it wanted was a little spider? All because of a deal with the devil.
Note
Okay, I would just like to point out that this is my first story and I take criticism to a point. If you've got a problem with the way I portray some characters, then tell me, so I can avoid bashing and/or misinterpreting them. Those two are actually my pet peeves when it comes to other writers' fanfic.Well, more bashing than misinterpreting. And unless the story is good and doesn't focus so much on the bashing.Grammar and vocabulary tips are definitely welcome.Tips on how to better paint a picture for you readers would be very appreciated. Landscapes, location, character description, etc.And for the people who will rag on me for the stupidest crap, like say pairings or how this story isn't following cannon, or some other issue you've got that doesn't really matter to me or in general. Please, do the world a favor and stick your head in the toilet and flush because that is pretty much where you and your opinions should be going.Anyway here is my first fic, enjoy.Disclaimer: I do not own marvel or any of its characters affiliated here.

A Couple's Getaway Goes Astray. Part Three.

(Isle of Gaea)

The sunlight peeking through the curtains of the treehouse bedroom illuminates a messy bed where the three bodies of Peter, Mary Jane, and Felicia lay sleeping blissfully. The sunlight hits Peter in the eye and he turns his head away to the right. In doing so, he grumbles a little and leans closer to Felicia, who lets out a content sound. She mumbles as she presses her head more into his chest and stretches her arm out more to hug him more. In doing so though, she grabs on to the other person in bed with them. Mary Jane returns to the waking world as she feels the hand on her side that is trying to pull her closer. She cracks an eye open to see the arm belongs to Felicia. For a quick second, MJ wonders what the woman is doing, but then recalls what happened in the bed.

"And the ceiling. And the walls. And the bathroom. And I believe the window at some-"

MJ mentally and forcibly shuts Sonja up so as to not spoil her surprisingly good mood. She was content with this scene. It reminds her so much of the first time they spent together.

She remembers that morning well. She was expecting maybe some, not shame but something along those lines, after spending a night with both Peter and Felicia. She also expected to get competitive with the woman during their affair. But after spending an hour in the throws of passion with her, Mary Jane found herself enjoying the experience with Felicia.

At first, she figured maybe they would have some fun with each other, and after a few minutes in, they would want to mess with Peter when he couldn't do anything. But to her surprise, and likely Felicia's too, they went at it for the entire hour it took for the webbing to dissolve. At that point though, it all became a blur. Peter certainly took out the pent-up frustration of being teased for an hour on them. At least until the guy passed out from exhaustion two hours into the fun, but they understood of course. The man has been sleepless the days prior to that night, so neither one of the girls blamed him. That didn't really stop them since even when he was unconscious, his body was still raring to go. And both Hardy and Watson felt the desire to keep the fun going with each other at least.

She looks at the woman and notices how beautiful she looks just lying in bed next to her. A content smile on her face with her platinum blonde hair somehow covering her face in the right way to make her seem more alluring. The redhead feels the urge to reach out and push the hair away to show-

'Okay, time to get out of bed.' Mary Jane thinks to herself as she tries to gently get out of her man's arms without rousing him awake. But he has a rather tight grip on her. And she also feels Felicia's arm pull her closer to the chest of the man between them.

She is tempted to just stay in bed with them like this. It's weird how comfortable she is. Not with Peter, because that's always been the case, but with Felicia. The woman's hold on her is rather nice.

'But as nice as this is, I'm hungry.' She feels her stomach rumble and then hears one more. She smiles amusingly at the disgruntled look Peter gets since it was his.

"That's a hell of an alarm clock," Felicia mumbles out from her spot as she crack an eye open and sees MJ is also awake. She gives a small smile and says, "Morning, beautiful."

Mary Jane returns the smile. "Morning, gorgeous."

They stare at each with genuine smiles. They turn their attention to the man between them when his stomach rumbles again and he starts to groan. He blinks a few times and the two ladies feel him try to move his arms that he has wrapped around them to scratch the crust out of his eyes.

Peter fully opens his eyes to see what's preventing him from doing so and sees two beautiful women's faces lying on his chest. He lays back with a smile and says, "Morning."

"Morning yourself," MJ greets back.

Felicia draws little circles on his chest, "So what's the plan for today."

Peter lays his head back down and thinks about it for a second before he answers, "Take a look around the town, see what's what, and then head to one of those nice restaurants Dio mentioned."

Mary Jane lays her head on his chest, "I like the sound of that," she says with a content smile.

So their vacation isn't a total bust. If anything it got upgraded. Albiet in a very strange and typical Peter Parker way, but it still is great. Especially if they find some unique activities that they couldn't find anywhere else.

"If I'm being honest though, I'd rather stay here in bed." Peter shamelessly admits as he holds them a little tighter.

MJ rolls her eyes at his implication, "I'm sure."

"Red if I'm being honest too, I like the idea myself," Felicia adds on as she lays her head more into the man's chest.

She gives a side look to the platinum blonde woman, to which said woman responds with a cheeky smile, before Mary Jane sits up and uses the sheets to cover her modesty, "Alright, out of bed before we do anything that would result in spending the rest of the day here."

Peter places his now free hand behind his head as Felicia cuddles closer to him, "You make it sound like that'd be a bad thing."

"I'd like to look at the sites on this island other than the ceiling of this treehouse."

Both Peter and Felicia look up at said ceiling before Peter comments, "It's a really nice ceiling."

"Get up." She says with finality in her tone.

The two of them start to get up with clear reluctance on their faces. MJ finds it cute how the two are behaving similarly. She enjoys their time in the bedroom too, but they especially seem to want to spend their days away in the bed.

"Can you blame them?" Sonja questions her.

MJ can't.

Peter gets out of bed and stretches, "Mmm. Boy, the beds back home got nothing on these ones."

That's for sure. If MJ didn't know any better, she'd say these beds were specifically made for the three of them.

As they get dressed, or cover themselves with the robes they have in the room, MJ thinks about what they should get up to on the island. There are plenty of sights to see, especially since it's a magical island, but she wonders if there is anything like a tour beyond what they were given yesterday. That one showed them some sights but she feels like there is more to see.

Maybe even some secluded spots to be alone with Peter and Felicia.

"Oh?"

MJ gets a flat look, 'Not for that.'

She looks over to her two romantic partners and sees Peter picks up the bell to inspect it, "They said we just have to ring this bell to get food right?"

"I think so," Felicia responds uncertainly.

Peter rings the bell and almost immediately, a knock is at the door. The throuple look back and forth between the bell and the door before Peter goes to answer it. He opens it and in comes a chimp in a butler's uniform pushing a serving cart with three silver platers.

Peter looks at the chimp roll right in with a stunned look, "Wow, now that's service."

The chimp pulls off the tops of and reveals some delicious-looking breakfast. MJ can see Pancakes, eggs, and bacon on the plates. It then reaches down the cart and lifts of glass cylinders filled with what looks like orange juice, milk, and coffee.

It takes Peter a second to realize that the chimp is staring at him. He gives a curious look before he realizes the chimp is expecting him to choose his drink, "Oh, uh orange juice, please."

The chimp turns to the girls and MJ answers, "Same as him, thank you."

"Milk for me," Felicia says.

The chimp nods and places the two glasswares that have the milk and juice. It then pulls up some drinking glasses and poor the drinks. The three of them all watch the chimps serve them, completely mesmerized by this. The chimp continues on, unbothered by their staring.

It finishes pouring the drinks and proceeds to hand them out to the three. As they drink their drinks, they continue to watch as the ape places their food on plates with utensils. Mary Jane does not know what to say, and she suspects the other two don't either. They are used to weird, but this is new weird. And it's not like they know if they can talk about it now. The animal in front of them is clearly smart, but she wonders if they can converse how they normally do in front of it.

The animal finishes plating their breakfast and proceeds to hand them out to the three. They take their plates from it before it heads to the door. It stops there as it holds out it's hand in a manner that Mary Jane is familiar with.

But Peter isn't so it takes a second for him to realize that the chimp wants a tip, "Oh, right." He walks to the basket filled with an assortment of fruits and picks two red apples. "Here. Two apples."

The chimp nods in thanks before it departs. As a form of currency, fruits and other foods are an odd choice. But considering the workforce, MJ supposed it's appropriate.

Peter closes the door and walks back with an odd look, "Well that was an interesting experience."

An understatement, but MJ won't dwell on it and digs in, "This food is really good."

Both Peter and Felicia follow her example and eat the food too. They both seem to enjoy the food too if their hums' are any indication.

As they eat, MJ wonders what they can do about their wardrobe situation. She is not keen on walking around in just her bikini for this entire trip. Even though that was the original plan.

"Actually, the original plan was to-"

'Shut up.'

Peter and his two female companions are traversing the town, or rather the village, of the island in their beachwear. He feels somewhat out of place with his and the girls' attire because even though it's an island resort, it seems most people around them are wearing casual clothing. They did not bring anything else to wear with them since they expected to spend an entire week on her yacht.

Poor planning on their part, but live and learn.

Anyway, they elect to ignore their attire for now and the throuple take in the sights the town has to offer. From the beautiful architecture to the stunning natural landscape that seems to blend together. It's not like the big city, and nor is it like Hawaii or any other island resort the thief has been on, but it's incredibly unique.

"Boy, when a goddess designs a place, she goes all out," Felicia comments as she takes in the sights.

Mary Jane, who is also admiring the scenery, adds her own comment, "There is a saying in the fashion industry about how Mother Nature is the best designer. It's why so many designers try so hard to emulate her work."

That makes Peter think of an expensive form of clothing, "Or in some cases, skinning animals for their pelts."

He gets an image of a certain hunter in his head.

A growl from the side prompts them to look over and see a lion ready to pounce. Peter gets a feeling it heard his offhand comment. He quickly raises his hands at the animal in defense of her, "Easy big fella. I didn't mean anything by it."

The lion stares at him for a second more before it chuffs, almost scoffs really, and walks away. The three of them watch it with raised brows.

Peter watches it curiously before he comments, "I don't think I'll get used to that."

He is of course referring to the intelligence of the animals on the island. He knows Gaea made them that way for just this island but it's still strange.

MJ gives him a flat look, "You work with rock monsters, Norse gods, and you came back from the dead. Animals that have some higher thinking are hardly any weirder than that."

It takes a second for him to realize who she is referring to, before he defends his friend, "Ben is not a rock monster. He's a teddy bear."

Felicia raises an accusing brow at him, "How did you know she was talking about Ben?"

"I don't know any other rock monsters."

He sees both girls roll their eyes at his quip and that makes him smile. One thing he is picking up on in this relationship of theirs is the similarities the thief shares with the model. In some instances she and MJ either act the same way or do the same thing.

'Huh. Wonder what that says about me in regards to my taste in women?'

"Check it out."

He is pulled out of his thoughts when Felicia voices a curiosity. He looks to what she's pointing at and is pleasantly surprised. A store with a small sign, 'Thread Count. Fine Wears for All,' hanging above the door.

They step closer to it and Peter sees some pretty dresses on display. Though his fashion sense is lacking, according to MJ since his sweater vests and bow ties are not trendy, he can tell these dresses are nice by imagining what the girls would look like in them.

He smiles a little at the image.

He likes.

Mary Jane shares in his thoughts when she comments, "That is a beautiful dress."

Without a word, they walk into the store and the bell dings overhead. The inside of the store is rather small, about as big as a convenience store, and it has so few clothes. But the few clothes it does have are pretty enough to catch the girls eyes and there is a lot of fabric with different colors along the walls.

Mary Jane steps up to the dress by the window and runs her hands alongside it. Feeling the fabric and admiring the design, "This feels amazing."

Felicia is beside her and mimics her actions, "You'd look great in this."

MJ regards her curiously, "You think?"

"You can wear a sleeping bag and look amazing," Peter comments from the side as he eyes some shirts. His comment gets a raised brow from the girls but he doesn't see since he's feeling the shirt, "This is silk."

"You have keen eyes." A male voice gets their attention. An elderly African man walks out from the back of the shop with some rolled up fabric under his arms. He is wearing some fine clothes and a trilby hat and has a friendly smile on his face, "Hello, welcome to Thread Count."

Peter raises a hand and greets back, "Hi." He then looks back at the clothes hanging on the racks and asks, "Where'd you get this stuff?"

"I made them," the man informs them while he places the rolls on the counter.

All three of them look at him in surprise as Mary Jane says, "You made them?"

The man nods and Mary Jane looks impressed. Peter figures his supermodel girlfriend has been in the fashion business long enough to know quality work. He also knows materials like silk in particular are a pain to work with and hard to get a hold of. He knows this because a) his webbing was inspired by silk, and b) real silk is expensive. And he knows he can't afford it.

For someone on an island to be making them surprises him.

"Silk threads are a specialty of mine." He offhandedly says while he unfurls one of the pieces of fabric he has to show an intricate design of the island on it, "Not just with clothing."

He and the girls lean in to get a better look as he lets out a whistle, "That's impressive."

Mary Jane looks back at the dresses and asks, "Those dresses on display aren't just for show right?"

The man shakes his head and politely answers, "No."

"How much does it cost?" She inquires.

And again the man shakes his head, "I take no commissions for my work," he states, surprising the three of them. "I am an artist. A designer, more like. I merely wish for my work to be appreciated."

Well, now that is unexpected. Though in a way Peter can understand that. As a scientist and inventor, he doesn't consider monetary gain to be his priority in his work. Just some appreciation and proper application of whatever he creates.

Of course, he would also like that in his superhero life, and he might get that now since he's ninety percent sure Jameson no longer hates him. But he's not holding his breath on that.

Felicia looks at the dresses before looking back at the owner and questions, "So, do we just take these then?"

That tone in her voice sounds like she's disappointed by the notion. Both he and MJ raise their brows at the thief as the man says, "I can have better dresses made for the two of you and a proper suit for you."

That last part was directed at Peter, who is surprised by this. He doesn't really own anything as nice as what's on display, "Really? Thanks."

The man gives a pleased smile and Peter looks back at the suit. At least now he and the girls have something else to wear.

Elektra finds herself walking through town in search of her targets with her blank demeanor and in her usual revealing attire, sans her weapons. The guards were not keen on returning her possessions until she left the island. A smart move on their part, she supposes, but they do not know how deadly she is without her weapons.

Earlier in the morning she had a brief discussion with Hercules. The former Greek god said he needed to find Gaea and he invited the deadly assassin to come with him. Not really caring for whatever squabbles the two deities have, Elektra merely wished him luck and walked away. The man of course questioned why she did not want to go with him and she told him plainly that it was none of her business. Whatever he said afterward, she didn't hear as they went their separate ways.

She knows they came together to find the missing people, but that was when their goals were aligned. Now, however, she had her job of finding her targets and he had his in dealing with whatever Gaea had in store for him. Considering that she made it a condition to kill him and any associates that were with him, Elektra can only assume it won't be a pleasant confrontation.

She is not overly familiar with the deities, particularly with Gaea. She knows that she is the mother of the world, so to speak. But any sources she would scrounge up are too varying and unreliable at best. After all, Thor and Hercules themselves are prime examples that such sources aren't completely accurate.

But to the point, Elektra is not privy to the history between Gaea and Hercules. It seemed like he is confused as to why the deity has it out for him, so he likely hasn't done anything to provoke her ire or did something unknowingly. She did not inquire to discover because again, she does not care. She has her job. Which is to find her targets.

She walks casually and calmly through the busy streets of the island's town, subtly taking note of all its inhabitants. It seems like many people are happy to be waited on hand and foot by the animal servants. Most at least. There are few that seem to enjoy working. Traveling in carts that are being pulled by oxen and said carts are filled with various foods that one can expect to come from farms.

It seems there is no processed foods; chips, soda, and such, on this island. So this place is completely secluded from the rest of the world. But they do have some means of making other items like alcoholic beverages such as wine. Then again such concoctions have existed well before the industrialization of the world, so she imagines that there are places where they are being manufactured.

She shakes her head, she is getting distracted. She is fascinated by the island's independence, but it shouldn't be too surprising considering it was a goddess that created it.

She resumes her search for her targets. Looking at all the faces she sees in the small town as she walks by. None catch her eye in familiarity. She memorized the faces on the pictures she was looking at back on the ship, but none of those faces seem to be in the small town. Unfortunately, she didn't bring the photos with her to question anyone who has possibly seen them. She could provide descriptions and the human population is small, but it could end up with her targets being warned of her search for them.

She will not pursue them in her usual fashion. She understands she is, for lack of a better word, a guest on this island. And as a guest, she senses she will be confronted if anything were to happen to any of the other denizens here.

Brought here by force she may have been, but she gets the feeling she will be allowed to leave if she desires it so long as she behaves. Or at least doesn't get caught. It wouldn't be too hard for her to simply make a person disappear, even on an island like this one.

'Still, I'll avoid conflicts for now,' she tells herself.

She pauses at a crossroad and ponders on which direction she should walk down. The tinkle of a bell sounds out and she looks over to see some familiar faces walk out of a shop a few yards away from her. Felicia Hardy and her two companions. Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson.

Ah yes, another curiosity that the deadly assassin has encountered, though this one did not come from the island.

Felicia Hardy's, the Black Cat, relationship with the famous actress, Mary Jane Watson, and semi-famous photographer, Peter Parker. An odd trio and combination that makes one wonder how they came to be together. And though it's a curiosity she is not too invested in investigating, it did catch her attention.

She delves into her memories of the files she collected in her investigation to take down Fisk, and recalls nothing in mentions of connections with either the redhead or the photographer. It's too random. Unless you consider a certain possibility.

Elektra shifts her attention back to the group of three as they head into another store. The male of their group, Peter Parker, holds the door open for them. A man that Elektra has a good suspicion about who he is.

The bane of Wilson Fisk's existence, Spider-Man.

Despite what people believe, it's not actually Daredevil that the Kingpin finds to be his true enemy. The large man finds Spider-Man to be the one for that role. It mostly stems from him being the "first" hero Kingpin has dealt with and being the most annoying. Mathew is persistent and was the one to eventually place Fisk behind bars for a time, but still, Fisk hates Spider-Man more than anyone else.

And she is sure that is who Peter Parker is. Normally she wouldn't bother with an attempt in discovering the hero's identity. Mostly because she does have some respect for the hero, though she'll never tell him. But with it being obvious and in her face, her mind can't help but piece the puzzle of Spider-Man's identity being Peter Parker. All the evidence points to it, even though what happened back at the ship threw her for a bit of a loop.

The build is right, his voice is close if taking into account the muffledness that comes with him wearing the mask, and the way he carries himself is the exact same way. But the real proof, the one that drew Elektra's suspicions in the first place, is Felicia Hardy's infatuation with him.

In her endeavor to take down Fisk, Elektra made it her sole purpose to know everything about him. From the working of his businesses to the workings of his mind, from who his allies are, and who his enemies are. And Felicia Hardy is certainly an enemy of his. At least now.

Black Cat has helped Spider-Man on more than one occasion in disrupting Fisk's operations. Yet still, the thief remains just that, a thief. She takes what she wants and is rather unapologetic about it. Even to the man she claims to love, Spider-Man. Even on occasion taking advantage of the hero's trust in her.

Which is why Elektra believes that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. But back at the ship, the conversation between Hardy and Watson made her doubt her suspicion. It seemed like they were talking about two different people when defending their man.

Perhaps she is mistaken? It wouldn't be the first time Peter Parker was accused of being the hero from what she has heard.

She shakes her head again. She really shouldn't be trying to discover the truth behind this. She should be focusing on her job.

But as she takes a step to walk away, Peter raises his hand to wave and Elektra glances to where it was directed at. A black man wearing a fedora and when she sees the face, she does a double take as she is taken by surprise.

It's the same face she was tasked to kill at one point by the witch Baba Yaga. But she deemed it a waste of her skill set to do so. Because this man was said to be a Spider-God and what she saw at the time was a huge disappointment.

She stands there for a moment, stunned, as both men walk into separate opposite stores. She does not believe in coincidences. The fact that the man, this "Spider-God," is here on this island made by a goddess and was speaking with someone that Elektra suspected to be a hero in his civilian attire and that hero is also spider-themed…

She walks with a purpose to the shop the man went into. Every intention of confronting the man in her usual manner. Even more brutal and vicious if need be.

She realizes she never bothered to learn his name when she was given the task to kill him back in the States.

She gets to the shop's front and notes the admittedly lovely dresses on display. But she doesn't dwell on them and enters the store, with the bell above signaling her entrance. She would have found another method to enter silently, but right now she is too wound up to care about subtly.

Besides, the last time she saw the man, she found herself dissatisfied by his presence. She sensed no real danger even though she was told he was a god. She doubts it's different now.

Once inside the store, she sees fabrics and clothing on display and can tell it's silk fabric. But she does not see the man she is after.

She walks around the counter and pushes the curtain open. She finds a set of steps heading down a good few meters. She quietly walks down the stairs and stops in front of a metal door. Quietly as she can, she pushes the door open and what she finds is quite a shocking and perhaps frightening sight.

All around there are white spiders crawling about, from the ceiling to the walls, and most seem to be as large as her palm and small as her fingernail. But what is truly interesting is that they seem to be weaving silk into thicker threads and into fabric. Not just their own silk, but silk they are extracting from lotus flower stems and silkworms. She closely observes them and sees the smaller spiders are pulling silk threads from the sources while the large ones hold down the stems and worms.

They're all the same species, but she does not recognize the type. She knows they are not a poisonous breed because she is certainly familiar with all poisonous creatures in the world. Being an assassin of her caliber is not without its requirements. But even with her knowledge of spiders being limited to only the poisonous ones, she could say she at least knows that the ones she is looking at now are not of the natural world. 'Then again, if they were created by a god like Gaea or the Spider-God, then technically wouldn't they be natural now?'

A logical or philosophical question for later.

She refocuses on her task in finding the mystery man. She sees a table at the end of the room with a light on the table. She walks into the room and keeps an eye on the spiders. She is confident she can escape should the need arise but she can't deny the slight shiver up her spine as she watches the spiders continue on their task.

Honestly, if she wasn't used to more horrid sights, this would be frightening. If not unnerving.

As she continues to slowly walk deeper into the room, she notes another interesting thing. Her presence. They don't seem to be bothered with her being in the room. They are intelligent enough to know she is here if they are weaving silk in such manners but it seems they don't care.

'Or maybe they were expecting me,' she muses when she stops walking and sees what is on the table.

A lovely red dress with a note attached to it.

'If you want to know more, the Silent Party, around eight. Sincerely, Anansi.'

She glares at the note. She does not like to be played like this. This man will learn that fact the hard way.

At least now she has a name to put to the face she'll be punching.

(Outside of Restaurant, Silent Party, Night Time)

Peter nervously fiddles with his tie as he stands at the entrance of the recommended restaurant in a nice black suit and tie. He waits patiently but anxiously for the girls to arrive. The reason for his nerves? This is technically his first date with them since they started their unusual relationship.

'Boy did we skip some steps.' He muses and recalls the night they got together. After the battle against Red Skull and interview with Jonah, not to mention the days of no sleep, Peter was exhausted. But the prospect of spending the night with the girls rejuvenated him. He still can't believe they spent an entire weekend in bed. 'I guess an unorthodox relationship has to start in an unorthodox manner.'

Still, the fact is this is their first date. And from his experience, first dates set the tone for the relationship. He's dated both of them, sure, but both of them together is new and honestly a little intimidating. Because he knows this is the point where they have to talk. Serious talks are not a strong point for either girls and barely himself. They've talked plenty during their weekend together, but it was mixed with them going at it and barely leaving the bedroom other than to get some water. 'How did we not die of dehydration?'

He shakes his head. Anyway, he has come prepared when it comes to topics to discuss. He'll try to avoid discussing his superhero life, since that was the deal they made on this vacation, and if need be, make bad jokes. Basically what he usually does. But even with preparation, he is still anxious. He really wants to make this work. His track record with relationships is not stellar, especially with both MJ and Felicia. But it's not for a lack of trying or caring. It mostly stems from his Parker luck.

Anything that can go wrong, will. Their present situation with their impromptu vacation is an example of that.

'Although, is it still bad?' Peter mentally questions.

"Hey Tiger," Mary Jane's melodious voice knocks him out of his musing, and when he looks at her and Felicia, they knock out the wind in his lungs entirely.

Mary Jane is wearing a tight cerulean blue wrap dress that hugs her curves so well, that come with some mesh sleeves along with stockings and high heel shoes. Around her neck is a pearl necklace and her hair is done in a long glamor curls fashion.

Felicia is wearing an indigo plunge dress that has some crisscross mesh on her side, showing her skin in ways that tempts Peter to touch. Around her neck is a lovely diamond necklace and her hair is in a long French braid that is hanging on her shoulder.

All in all, the way they look can only be summarized in one word.

"Wow." Peter lets out, completely mesmerized by them, "You both look… wow."

Felicia saunters up to him and closes his mouth with her finger while giving a playful grin, "Now now Slick, save those silver-tongued words of yours for when we tell you to."

Peter returns the playful smile with his own, "I think I have a pretty good idea of what you want my tongue for."

Felicia opens her mouth to retort but MJ's voice cuts in, "Alright you two," she says with a faux exasperated tone and links her arms with both of theirs, "Let's go eat before you two start something that will make us miss dinner and breakfast."

They both smile shamelessly at each other as they are tugged by the redhead into the restaurant. They enter and note how the interior of the receiving area is done. Bright warm lighting with French style design, a bar where some people are ordering drinks from some chimps, and a podium in front of some drapes where the odor of food is coming from.

They approach the podium and the maître d', a person, looks up at them very posh-like and asks, "Good evening. May I have your name?"

"Dionysus recommended this place to us." Mary Jane informs the man.

"Ah Ms. Watson," the man says pleasantly and steps out from behind his podium. He pulls the curtains open and ushers them into the restaurant, "Please enter."

He holds it open and the throuple go through and the place is not what they expected. The restaurant is a combination of both a restaurant with a dance floor in the middle. With the tables all encircling a large circular platform that have people dancing on it. There is a railing that separates it from the restaurant.

Peter looks at the people on the platform peculiarly, "Huh. Is it just me, are those people not dancing the right way for this music?

The maître d' explains this, "The music you are hearing here is not the same that is being played on the dance floor. There is an illusion barrier around the platform to separate the area from the rest of the restaurant."

Peter frowns unsure, "Weird," he comments, "Pretty sure this isn't the right idea if someone wants a successful restaurant back home."

The girls don't comment and the maître d' seems unbothered by his words. He leads the three to their table, where they are then handed their menus.

"This is nice," Peter comments with a glance around the place as the maître d' walks away.

Felicia nods as she looks over the menu, "It really is. And the food here is the type you'd find in a five-star restaurant."

"I wouldn't know," Peter says with a shrug as he looks at the menu too, "My knowledge in cuisine is limited to cups of instant ramen."

MJ looks up from her own menu in confusion and points out, "We've eaten in fancy restaurants before."

Peter nods and raises a finger, "Yes, but if you recall, I didn't know a single thing on the menus so I resorted to asking for burgers and such."

MJ gets a tired expression, "Please don't do that here."

"I make no promises."

A chimp stops in front of them with a pad for orders. They place their orders and it walks away before another gives them their drinks.

The date is going relatively well in Peter's opinion. His usual standards for dates going well means he arrives on time or not too late, does not run out in the middle of them throwing some lousy excuse, and has money to pay for his and his date's meal.

'My god are my standards low.' He muses. Not wanting to dwell on negative thoughts, he decides to bring up one of the prepared topics, "So you guys talked about opening a club together?"

He is going to stick with topics that he feels won't go to the superhero life.

Felicia leans back her chair and responds, "Well like I said, it was originally all Red's thing. She decided to bring me on the fun."

The way she says fun makes Peter think she won't be having any. But MJ seems to want to reassure her when she firmly says, "It will be."

Felicia gives the supermodel a blank look, "Red, I may not be very business savvy, but even I know owning a business, even something like a nightclub, is no walk in the park."

Peter nods. He wouldn't know anything about that, except that Felicia does have a point. But that doesn't deter Mary Jane from saying, "I know. I have thought this through. I invested a lot of time and money in making this happen. Though originally I was gonna name it something like "MJ's" or "Jackpot"."

Peter considers those names in his head before he comments, "That last one sounds more like a casino."

As soon as he said that, he noticed a glint in the thief's, "…Hey what if we-"

"No." Both he and MJ firmly say.

Felicia crosses her arms and pouts with a huff, "You don't know what you're missing out on."

MJ rolls her eyes at her, "Gorgeous, gambling is illegal in New York. And I am not doing any underground gambling in the club."

"So what exactly am I bringing to the table?"

That seems to put a pleased smile on Mary Jane's face, one that Peter has seen many times when she gets something she wants and he has to be okay with it, "I'm glad you asked." She says as she leans on the table, "Knowing you as well as I think I do, you'll still be doing what you enjoy doing in a tight leather outfit."

Peter raises a brow at her declaration, as does Felicia and she responds with, "It's a bit annoying with the leather on but the zipper goes down far enough to-"

"Not what I mean and you know it," MJ interrupts her.

Peter looks at the redhead oddly, as if he's staring at a stranger, and Felicia gives her an analytical one, "Okay, if you are referring to what you seem to be, then I have only one question." Felicia sits up and stares directly at the redhead, "Why are you still bringing me on?"

Not an unfair question in Peter's opinion. If Mary Jane is knowingly bringing in a career criminal like Felicia into her business, then she must know the kind of trouble that will undoubtedly attract.

MJ rolls her eyes before she leans closer too, "Look, Hardy, I know you. Maybe not as well as Peter, but well enough to know that you won't be playing it completely straight.

Peter jerks back in shock at the supermodel's declaration, "Wait. You're okay with her using your legitimate business to launder her money?"

Felicia is getting a smile on her face while Peter is getting worried. He does not like the idea of Mary Jane basically using her business to launder Felicia's ill-gotten gains. His sense of responsibility is telling him to nip this in the bud right now.

"Oh don't get the wrong idea," she tells him with a smug pleased smile as she continues to look at Felicia, "She'll have to work for it in ways she won't enjoy."

That wipes the smile of the cat-themed thief's face. That smile on the actress's face means she means what she is saying.

"What ways?" Felicia asks with some dread in her voice.

MJ's smile gets a little bigger, "Charity."

"…oh you bitch."

Peter snorts at this as he feels some relief. Felicia seems to be offended by the idea MJ is proposing. He knows how Felicia is with giving away her illegitimate gains, he's had many arguments with her over it, and here MJ is saying that she'll let Felicia keep some of the money the thief earns but will make her donate plenty of it to charities. It's nice to know the supermodel is not going completely to the dark side.

And though his sense of responsibility is telling him it's still wrong and will bring trouble if they are caught, he knows it'll be a losing argument. Both these girls are stubborn when they set their mind to something. His worries will come off as him being overbearing because they can handle themselves really well.

Still he feels like he should voice a concern, "Aren't you guys worried about discrepancies when you file for taxes and stuff?"

Both girls raise their brows at him and MJ tells him, "You do know that unless the IRS is investigating you, then for the most part they trust that you know what you're doing, right? Especially if you have an accountant."

He did not know that.

"Though in that case you still want to keep a close eye in case the guy tries to screw you over," Felicia adds her own two cents.

Mary nods in agreement, "Oh for sure. Check up regularly and know where your money is."

He is starting to realize how much he needs to learn about finances as he comments, "Guess there's a lot of work to go with managing a lot of money

Felicia gives him a condescending grin, "Course you wouldn't know anything about that, being broke and all."

Peter holds his head high, "I prefer the term 'economically challenged', thank you."

""Challenged" being the word," Mary Jane adds with her one grin, "You really are terrible with handling your money."

"I'm not bad at handling money," he defends himself, "I just don't consider it a priority in life."

Felicia raises a brow at him, "You don't consider money to be a priority."

Peter gets an uncertain frown, "More like I don't value it," he explains. He gets a stoic look as he continues, "I have a hundred things to worry about every day, and my financial situation just isn't something I want to stress over too much."

"So if you win the lottery…?" Felicia leaves that question hanging in the air.

Peter knows she's asking what he'd do and he tells her, "I'm not gonna lie, I'll keep enough to never have to worry about money again, but I'll donate the rest of it to charities and maybe finance some scientific research."

And that is the best he can come up with. He is not business savvy like Tony Stark is, or Mary Jane seems to be, so he wouldn't really know what to do with a large amount of money."

"You told me at one point you were gonna be paid to be an Avenger but couldn't take a cent because it was on a payroll," Mary Jane brings up.

Felicia looks surprised by this, "Seriously?"

Peter frowns in disappointment at the reminder, "Well I had to use my real name."

"There are ways you could've gotten the money still," Mary Jane points out.

Peter rolls his eyes and recalls a familiar conversation he had at the Avengers Academy, "I know, I know. I could have created a dummy corp or something to funnel that money through some shell corporations and got the money under a business name."

Both girls give him strange looks, clearly not expecting him to know that, and MJ questions, "Who told you about that?"

While a bit hurt she didn't think he'd know that, even though she is right, he confesses with a shrug, "Some kids from the Avengers Academy brought up how much good I could have done if I stayed in show business. Mentioned how the money could have gone into helping fight crime and maybe cure some diseases worldwide."

Both of them look up in consideration of this idea. Maybe he just gave them an idea on what to do with the money they'd make from their business together.

"And what did you tell them?" MJ asks.

"I told them I couldn't do that because I couldn't tell anyone my real name," he informs them of the age-old problem of his, "So one of them mentioned the dummy corp, or limited something, and basically schooled me in finances."

He looks down with a frown. It's a bit of an embarrassment when kids half his age know more about handling finances than him. He's been doing this long enough to have learned some things but clearly he still needs to learn more.

"…When we get back home, I'm gonna look up some financial literacy classes," he declares, "I clearly need to be educated on it if kids half my age know more about how to manage money better than me."

Both girls nod at him as they give him pitying looks. Felicia seems to take mercy on him and asks, "Besides all of that, what will you be aiming for?"

"A doctorate in chemistry and a masters in engineering," he tells them.

"Not gonna aim for an M.D.?" MJ inquires.

Peter grimaces at the thought, "Not my area. And I get queasy when I think of working with bodily fluids."

Both MJ and Felicia give him dull looks, "Really?"

"It's different when it's mine."

Their food eventually arrives and throughout their dinner, the three of them continue to converse about everything and nothing. Peter does his best to not let the conversations delve into the superhero world. They skirt around the topic and get close to bringing it up, but he makes sure they avoid going directly into it. He wants to enjoy the time away, and that means no superhero business. He knows they don't want to talk about that.

'Course it's for different reasons,' he thinks as he watches the two ladies talk about designs for their club.

Oddly enough, based on his history in being with them, he knows they both love and hate the boy scout part of him. The part that never lets him forget his code, even when it would benefit him. But that's just not who he is. Much as he beats himself up over his screwups with his love life, he knows it's better he suffers than someone else if he lets bad things happen. Just because he was busy.

He looks down at his food. In a way it bothers him how they are both similar in regards to his spandexing. They don't like his constant need to sacrifice for the sake of others. They don't want him to be selfish, not completely at least, but they wish he was more considerate of himself.

Like his uncle Ben wants him to.

'Though me going back to school and this vacation is a good start,' he reminds himself.

He looks to the dance floor and watches the people dance like nobody's watching them. The corner of his mouth curls up at the thought when Mary Jane does the same.

She suddenly gets up from her seat, "C'mon gorgeous let's go dance," she tells the thief as she grabs the woman's hand and eagerly leads her to the dance floor.

"Enjoy yourselves!" Peter calls out with a wave as he watches Mary Jane eagerly take Felicia to the dance floor. The two begin to simply dance to the rhythm of the music and don't care who is watching.

Peter doesn't feel any jealousy or protectiveness in him as they catch the eyes of some of the other patrons, who are giving them looks he recognizes too well. He has had to deal with the fact that these two women will always draw attention even just by casually walking down the street. At the end of the day he knows they are with him.

'But for how long?' A traitorous thought enters his head. He tries to squash it down but when it comes to relationships, his insecurities have always been a problem.

He knows they love him, but he always wonders why? They can get guys easily. Maybe not always the best guys, but he knows that there are better guys out there than him. He screws up often enough with them that he drives them away. Or in Mary Jane's case, literally gave it away for selfish reasons.

'And we've circled back to the root of what's wrong with me,' he frustratedly thinks.

"Is that really where your mind should be right now?"

A voice next to him knocks him out of his head. He turns his head to his left and blinks when he sees the tailor who made his and the girls' outfits for the evening dressed in his ow fancy suit, "Hey you're that guy from Thread Count."

He gives a friendly smile, "I never did give you my name, did I?" He lifts his hat and offers his hand, "Call me Anansi?"

Peter is about to reach out to shake but pauses when the name fully sinks in. He's heard it somewhere else before but can't quite remember where. He then recalls what the man just said before he introduced himself.

Now Peter is giving the man a suspicious look as the now-named Anansi continues to give a friendly smile, "Who are you?"

The man takes the suspicion in stride as he takes a seat next to Peter, "A friend," he tells him, "Or I suppose a better title would be, an ally."

"An ally?" Peter questions doubtfully.

The man's smile does not waiver as he looks to where the girls are, "I do not wish to spoil this entire evening for you and your companions. Truly. I just wanted to bring you here so that you may enjoy yourselves. And yes by here, I mean this island."

Now Peter gets on edge, "You brought us here?"

Anansi nods, "Yes. Admittedly the method could've been better." A better method than getting kidnapped by Greek pirate witches? Oh yeah, there were definitely better ways. "But then again, would you have come had you merely heard about the island?"

Peter mulls over the man's question. If he had seen a brochure or word of mouth, then maybe. But he's guessing the island's secrecy is what the people living on it are trying to preserve. So he would have asked Doctor Strange about it and see if he could look into it.

But as he is being cautious, his attention would have been on fiber matters that he wouldn't be able to ignore.

"Thus, delaying your arrival here and preventing you from fully enjoying your time with them," Anansi says to him.

Peter realizes his mind was read and he gives the stranger a glare, "Can you not do that?"

Anansi raises his hands, "Apologies. I sometimes forget you're a very private person."

An understatement that Peter is not getting into right now, "What do you want?"

A chimp brings the stranger a drink and he tells Peter, "As I said I am an ally. I merely wish to help you and your friends." The cryptic nonsense is starting to get in Peter's nerves. But before he can voice this, the man points to a random direction and says, "There is a cove on the northwest side of the island, you are to head there while your companions head to the opposite direction until they arrive at a temple."

Peter gives the dark-skinned man a bewildered look, "And why should we do this?"

This guy just confessed to having manipulated bringing Peter here, likely through Felicia, has been reading his thoughts, and is being very secretive with whatever he wants from Peter. Trusting he won't do something to hurt him, or worse the girls, is not something the Queens-born-man can do.

"Peter, I am an ally," Anansi tells him, with a hint of exhaustion in his voice, "I will not force you or them into going. But know that if you do not come, it will be catastrophic."

The man gets up and walks away without another word. Peter watches him disappear into the crowd. He looks down in pensive thought over what just happened. He was brought here by a mysterious stranger through Felicia. As strange as it is, it's not too far out of the norm of his life. Still, he can't help but be a little upset over it. Especially for Felicia who he knows will not like it one bit.

He looks over to the two women, who are still dancing as if nothing is wrong. He remembers there's an illusion around the platform, so they aren't able to see him when they are on the dance floor. So they did not see he was having a conversation with the tailor.

He will have to tell them but he is not happy and he knows they won't be either, especially Felicia. They were supposed to be on vacation. Granted, the man did say he has every intention of letting Peter have his vacation with the girls, but he has doubts. Afterall, someone who manipulates people can't be very honest.

The sound of a chair scraping the ground takes his attention away from the girls. He turns his head and becomes shocked but quickly hides it when he sees a familiar face.

"Now that is interesting isn't it?" Elektra Natchios says in a lovely red dress with a slit that is showing a lot of leg, "That man invited me here and here he was speaking with you."

In a panicky state, Peter quickly forces himself to calm down and say, "He, uh, owns a local clothing store," he berates himself for being nervous, "He wanted to know how well the outfits he made fit on us."

This woman gives him a critical look before she looks at the girls on the dance floor, "I ran into him back in the States. He was a target of mine."

Peter recoils at her admission, "What? Why was he-?"

"I didn't ask," the ravenette coldly interrupts him. She looks back at him with a raised brow, "But what is interesting is that I was told he was a god. A spider god to be more specific. I didn't catch his name, however."

She knows, or at least suspects, who he is. He has to play dumb, "Huh, that's interesting," he feigns ignorance, "He doesn't seem very godly to me. I mean I've seen Thor. I'm not gay, but if he wanted to swing his hammer my way…" He lets that joke hang in the air.

She stares at him blankly, "That's funny," Peter can't help but feel she is patronizing him, "That sense of humor reminds me of someone else's."

Crap! His dumb mouth is gonna get him exposed! "Groucho Marx?" He really can't control this thing.

Elektra's face remains neutral, "As much as I am enjoying this, I need to know what you and he discussed, Spider-Man."

He recoils at the assassin's declaration and tries to play it off, "Wha-what?! I'm-I'm not Spider-Man!"

He's hoping his panicky state is taken on as pure confusion.

She rolls her eyes before she gives him a hard look, "Normally, I wouldn't care enough to try and discover who you are underneath, but that man brought me here, same as you. Though by different methods obviously."

He figured as much, but he needs to keep his focus on something very important, "But I'm not Spider-Man."

She sighs in clear frustration at his stubbornness, "Your build is similar, your voice was spot on, the way you walk around is exactly the same, and the most obvious giveaway is Felicia Hardy being with you. The spider god speaking to you is something new but does add on to the proof."

Oh boy. All of that does say he's Spider-Man. But he will not admit it to this woman.

"What proof? I'm not-" His spider-sense tingles and he catches a butter knife that was aimed for his eye and the other aimed to the dance floor. He gives a glare to the deadly assassin, who seems to now have some smugness in her eyes, "Are you-?!"

"I was certain in who you are, this was merely my way to speed things along," she lowers her hand and gives him an expectant expression, "Now are you going to stop this charade, and tell me what it is you spoke of with that man?"

Peter gives her a hard glare. He is not happy she endangered his life and the lives of the girls just because she wanted to put his identity. He's half tempted to just blow her off. But knowing her, she'll be persistent and likely bother the others too.

So he takes a breath to calm himself and answers her question, "He wanted me to come here. He manipulated Felicia with the siren song, the one that is hidden on every frequency. He says he wants to help me. Afterwards he'll let us enjoy the rest of our vacation."

He pauses to let that sync in. The assassin nods at him, "Go on."

"He said to meet at a cove northwest from here tomorrow while the girls go to a small temple in the other direction. He wants me to enjoy the rest of today with them."

Elektra looks down in thought and Peter wonders what she is thinking. Does she share his suspicions regarding the man's request? Should he let the girls go by themselves on what is likely a dangerous expedition?

He sees Elektra turn her attention to the girls on the dance floor, 'Now what is she thinking?'

"You three made quite some noise last night."

Her offhand comment catches him off guard. It takes a second for him to realize that the deadly woman heard them the night prior and blood rushes to his face in embarrassment, "Oh god."

Elektra nods, "Yes they said that one often."

"Oh, Jesus."

"That one too."

She is torturing him. She is torturing him and she is enjoying it if the slight curl of her lips tells him anything. While he is not ashamed by his actions with the girls, not entirely at least, he is embarrassed that they were likely heard by people nearby.

'On the other hand, I seem to know what I'm doing,' his male ego reminds him.

That does help make this better.

Elektra fully turns her attention to him and states, "I will be going with you."

He looks at her in befuddlement, "What?"

"It's no coincidence that I am here at the same time you are," she explains as she looks down in thought, "Along with my now confirmed suspicions over who you are and having run into that man prior to this, I suspect he wants me to go with you to meet him."

He looks at her in confusion, "Why do you-?"

She gets up from her seat and tells him, "Because he left me this dress and expected me to be watching your conversation with him."

That does not explain how she arrived at the conclusion of having to go with him instead of the girls. But Peter doesn't get a chance to ask any more questions over it as she walks away. He watches her disappear before he turns his head down to the table in consideration.

He now has company coming along with him to see the mystery man. Said company is a deadly assassin with intentions very clear to Peter. And it's no question whether or not he'll stop her if it comes down to it.

You know what? I'm not gonna let this ruin the rest of this night.' He firmly mentally tells himself. He tries to come up with a way to get back into a good mood as he looks at the girls still dancing, 'I think I might have an idea.'

He looks around until he finds a chimp with a serving tray, "Hey buddy," he calls it over. The animal stops and gets closer to him as Peter grabs the fruit basket and swings it around temptingly, "I got a proposal for you and your friends."

The chimp raises a brow at him.

The strobing lights in the darkened platform and loud music help drown out everything else around her. Just enjoying the moment and not letting anything around her bother her. Mary Jane loves the dance floor. It's one of the few places in the world where all her worries can vanish. She can lose herself to the rhythm of the music and it is even better if she has a dance partner to do it with. Because then she can lose herself with that person.

Though Felicia isn't the dance partner she envisions herself with, she is finding herself enjoying the woman's company. And she is also occasionally losing herself in watching the platinum blonde beauty dancing.

This girl definitely knows how to work what god gave her.

The song eventually ends and both girls take a second to catch their breath. Not because they are out of breath but still, they were going pretty hard.

"That was fun," Felicia states with a smile.

MJ nods in agreement, "Yeah. I've been dancing before but I think this is the first time I've enjoyed myself so much."

Felicia gets a cheeky grin and looks to the side where she thinks Peter is, "How pent up do you think Peter is?"

MJ gets her own megawatt smile at the thought of their shared beau likely arousal, "Oh he might not be able to walk straight right now."

She always did enjoy showing Peter what she can do. And it seems Felicia is like her in that regard.

Before they say another word, the lights go out completely for a second. Then a spotlight shines, and MJ is shocked by seeing her man at the edge of the stage. He is without his jacket and tie and just has on his white shirt with his head down.

"Peter?"

He lifts his head up when the music starts up. (Gonna make you sweat, by C&C Music FactoryAs for dance moves, picture the Mufasa one) The brown eyed man begins to jerk his body to the rhythm of the music and more lights begin to illuminate the dance floor where several other chimps start to mimic his dance moves as lights shine on them. When the music hits it's stride, so do Peter and the apes. They all dance in perfect sync with each other and the people are entertained by the display.

"Oh my god," Mary Jane says as she covers her eyes.

Felicia stares dumbfounded, "I don't know whether to be annoyed at him not being turned on by our dancing, or impressed that he got these guys to do this with him."

Mary Jane is not conflicted. She knows she is both embarrassed and impressed.

"Hahahahaha!"

"You are so ridiculous sometimes I swear!"

"Haha, I can't help myself."

Felicia continues to laugh as her shared beau continues to explain his little dance number back at the restaurant to the supermodel on his right. It's night time now as the three of them are back at the treehouse compound. Peter has his nice jacket and tie on his shoulder with the girls carrying some doggy bags. Some deserts they didn't get to but definitely wanted to eat.

The thief looks at the other two in amusement as the dork smiles unapologetically to the actress as said actress is both amused and bothered by his performance.

MJ shakes her head, "You can't help yourself dancing with apes in front of a whole restaurant."

Peter shrugs, "Well you girls put on a show yourselves. I figured I needed to one-up ya."

Felicia snorts. Yeah that is something he would do just cause.

"One thing is for sure, you are definitely going to show up at our club regularly," Hardy tells him.

He looks up in faux consideration, "I don't know. Unless you guys get your own chimps I can dance with, I don't think it'll be my scene."

Felicia and MJ both snort in amusement and she gives a side look to the redhead, which is returned. Both conveying their beau's humor is ridiculous.

They continue to walk in silence as they reach the wooden elevator that takes them up into their vacation treehouse. As they enter and it ascends, Felicia lets her thoughts wander about this date of theirs.

It was fun. The most fun she has had in a long time. She enjoyed the food and the entertainment. But most of all, she enjoyed the company. She always loved spending time with her Spider, in and out of the bedroom. She loved going out with him on their adventures and then spending the night with him. But this is different. She has been on regular dates with him, but not often. Most of their time spent together was in their costumes.

But now here she is with him outside of their alter egos, and her redheaded romantic rival is with them.

As the conversations went on, she and MJ just seemed to click and connect so well. It was weird, but it was also nice. No awkward pauses or silences, just a constant flow of conversation. And she leaned a lot of the model beyond what she has read and heard. She and MJ have more in common than the thief would have ever thought.

Heck, she can say both of them have similar personalities.

But there are differences she feels the redhead is better off on, 'Like how she seems to take all this like it's another day.'

She feels a twinge of jealousy at the thought, but hides it from her face. Not many "normal" people can deal with the superhero life, and yet Mary Jane isn't bothered by much that goes on. Granted she has had years to assimilate to it and is now dressing up for the hero role, but Felicia still considers the woman more civilian than super even with her newfound powers. Maybe because like Peter, MJ has a life outside of the costume(er transformation?)

Even though the woman isn't normal anymore, she is like Peter in the aspect she wants to have a sense of normalcy. 'Although is a career as a model and actress normal?'

The elevator stops when it reaches the entrance to their treehouse. Peter opens the door for them like a gentleman and they walk in.

Both she and Mary Jane plop down on the bed and begin to take off their heels. Neither of them say anything. And that's when Felicia notices the silence. If there is one thing certain in this relationship, when it's silent, something is going on.

She looks up at Peter and sees he has a conflicted expression. Like he wants to say something to them.

Hardy nudges the redhead next to her. When MJ looks at her curiously, Felicia jerks her chin at Peter. The supermodel looks at Peter too and sees what the thief does.

"What's wrong?" MJ asks him.

Peter still has his head lowered a bit as he looks at them with something that resembles guilt. Like what he has to tell them will be something that they won't want to hear.

He sighs before he says, "There's something I have to tell you girls."

Felicia glances at the redhead and she is looking at her too. She is getting the distinct feeling that their vacation is now over.
