Summary
A series of HCs about everyone’s favorite resident grouch, Miguel O’Hara. Some are tied to canon and others are completely random. I’ll write small blurbs if anyone asks to expand on a certain hc, either mine or their own.

my first post on here :3c miguel is so intriguing to me i love seeing people dissect and analyze his behaviors and actions but i also love being a little silly about him too.
SFW Headcanons Pt. 2

- On the rare occasion he’s not busy, Miguel likes to go people watching. He’ll usually climb a building that’s high enough people won’t notice but not too high so that he could still see, and he’ll just sit there watching people go by, analyzing anything interesting he sees about them.
- Without a doubt has some degree of PTSD from losing Gabriella. He pretends like he has it under control but some days it seems like she’s a part of everything around him. He used to frequently get night terrors about her and would dissociate for weeks at a time. Anytime he experiences some sort of a panic attack, it morphs into anger, since that’s the only emotion he finds acceptable processing around others.
- Miguel is very prone to sensory overload due to how heightened his senses are. A lot of his angry outbursts are due to how overwhelmed he feels by his surroundings. During this time, he becomes semi-verbal.
- Miguel is extremely uncomfortable around Mayday. Although this should be obvious, Peter feels like exposing him to being comfortable around kids again is something that would be good for him. If only he would actually communicate what he was feeling…
- He’s allergic towards shellfish, it’s not life threatening but if he ever ingests it he starts to break out in hives and has some issues breathing. No one knows except Peter, Lyla, and Jess.
- Whenever he feels himself getting sick, he goes through a list of home remedies his mom used to do whenever he got sick as a child. Mostly using vapor rub on his chest and nose and drinking warm lemon water for his throat.
- His claws and fangs come out when he’s startled. If you press on the right spot on his hand then you can push his claws out, like a cat. They also come out whenever he yawns and stretches
- Has a lot of sensory aversions due to his spliced genes. He hates the smell of peppermint and eucalyptus, as well as the taste of cinnamon. He can manage with citrus fruits, but most days he avoids them. Miguel also avoids solids, he’ll most likely choose a smoothie or some sort of soup over a full plate of food.
- He had to build up a tolerance to his own venom. In his early days as Spider-Man he would accidentally bite his tongue or cheek which would lead to him becoming paralyzed for several hours.
- Miguel has an extremely loud over dramatic sneeze. It literally sounds like a gunshot if you’re far enough away. He also has intense seasonal allergies, it’s one of the main reasons he dislikes spring and summer.
- Subconsciously really superstitious. His mom would tell him a lot of Mexican folklore tales when he was younger, keeping their lessons in the back of his head whenever he’s out and about.
- He gets really excited if he finds another spider-person that speaks Spanish. He won’t show it obviously, but he’ll definitely act more outgoing and will find excuses to speak to them more.
- Really, really, really impatient when it comes to day to day life. Like road rage when the person doesn’t start driving .001 seconds after the light turns green kind of impatience. One of the reasons his lair is so big is because he wanted a lot of the amenities that Spider HQ had but he would Not be willing to wait in line for them.
- Don’t call his office a lair, he gets really butthurt which leads to Lyla making fun of him for the rest of the day.
- (Pt. 2 of the well groomed hc) He’s not a fan of body hair on himself, finding that it’s slightly uncomfortable wearing his suit if he lets his body hair grow out. Doesn’t like shaving either (the first time he tried it he nicked himself over 20 times), so he opts for using wax strips if he notices that he’s uncomfortable while wearing his suit.
- Has some (many) abandonment issues. When/if he ever makes a new friend he keeps close tabs on them without their knowledge (weirdo). He never goes farther than doing some research about them online but there have been times where he would slip up and mention something you haven’t told him before which leads to a lot of awkward moments.
- Going off on that, he gets moody if he sees his existing friends becoming close with other people. He genuinely doesn’t know why he feels like that, but he doesn’t really do anything to solve it other than avoid them until he detaches himself enough to not care anymore.
- Having his fangs retracted is slightly uncomfortable, so whenever he’s alone working or on a mission by himself he’ll find something (usually a pen cap or straw) to chew on to help relieve himself. Lyla ordered him a chewing stim toy which he pretends to dislike, but secretly he appreciates it since he was tired of his pens drying out because he destroyed their caps.
- He has a decent singing voice, he would sing lullabies for Gabriella, but ever since she passed he hasn’t sung since. Sometimes when he’s alone, he’ll hum a song she liked.
