Theories and an intense fight
Wendy walks into that small storage room and starts slamming things. She punches the mirror which cracks under the pressure. After Pavitr died, she went back to the spider society to wait out the rest of the fight. They found out that Miguel’s universe wasn’t actually gone, but cut off from the rest of the multiverse. By some miracle, they were able to get it back and he was able to see his daughter again.
But Pav was still dead and Wendy was livid. Miguel was happy, but she was still in mourning for her lost student. She couldn’t explain the pain and pure anger in her heart when she saw Miguel again. She ran from him and the others and he followed her as she went on her trail of destruction. He followed her to the small storage room where she continued to break boxes of broken gizmos and other things.
At the end of her destruction, she’s panting and turns toward Miguel immediately starting to yell at him.
Wendy: So now that your universe is back, everything is happy now, right? We can just go on as if nothing happened. As if you didn’t put the whole entire fucking multiverse in jeopardy for your grief! As if you hadn’t destroyed multiple families and universes with your bullshit canon theory!
Miguel: Wendy. Please let’s just talk about this. We can work this out.
Wendy: Work it out? Talking? We tried talking to you for years, but you never listened! You didn’t want to hear anything any of the rest of us said! Why should we want to talk to you now that you’re the only one that’s happy?
Miguel didn’t know what to say. There was nothing he could say to make anything better. He was so bad at comforting people and he was so bad at words.
Miguel: What do you want me to say?
Wendy couldn’t believe what she was hearing. He was acting as if he didn’t care at all. As if all the pain and suffering they went through didn’t matter. She got deathly quiet as tears streamed from her eyes. Her bottom lip quivered with anger.
Wendy: My student is dead because of you. He’s gone and we’re never getting him back. His whole entire fucking universe is wiped off the slate of the multiverse because you were too stubborn. I want you to show some fucking empathy and care and feeling for once in your life. To show that you didn’t just create this society to fuck with us.
Miguel took a deep breath. Everything she said was right. If he wasn’t too stubborn and let Miles into the society from the beginning, none of that would have happened. Pavitr’s universe wouldn’t be gone and countless others wouldn’t be suffering. The only thing he could do was admit it.
Miguel: You…were right about everything. I don’t know what I can do to make it up to you or where we can go from here. But know that I do care and I created this society to help the multiverse. I never…I never wanted Pav to die. I never wanted to see you in pain. And I don’t know what to do to remedy any of it.
Wendy took in Miguel’s words and considered them. He sounded sincere and genuine. More tears fell from her eyes faster than they were before. She was about to say something when Jess came in the room and looked at it completely destroyed.
Jess: What happened here? What’s going on?
Miguel: (turning toward Jess) Jess we’re in the middle of something here. It’s not the time.
Jess: Actually this is important. Something happened. We don’t know how, but something happened that we weren't expecting.
Wendy: What happened?
Miguel: (said calmly) You need to be more specific. Please, Jess.
Jess looks out the door next to her to someone who was out of view.
Jess: I think…it’s better to show you than to tell you. (said to the person outside the room) You can go in now.
Wendy closes her eyes and turns around to try to get herself to calm down. She wasn’t ready for anything right now. She just wanted to go to bed. She heard the person walk in, but made no effort to turn around.
???: Wendy?
She froze. That voice. It couldn’t be. She turned around and opened her eyes. Standing there was Pav not fading away and a concerned expression on his face.
Wendy: Pav…Pavitr?
Pav: I’m back a-and I’m better than ever! And…and I’m so happy to see you.
Wendy walks up to him quickly and puts her hands on both sides of his face. When her hands don’t go through, she wraps her arms around him and cries more. Tears come to Pavitr’s eyes as well.
Wendy: B-but how? How is this possible?
Jess: When Spot was returned to normal, the spot that swallowed his universe disappeared. It left quite the mess to clean up, but his universe and everyone in it is back.
Wendy pulls away from Pav one more time and takes him by the shoulders. He puts his hands on her arms. They both look at each other with smiles on their faces and tears streaming from their eyes.
Wendy: I-I can’t believe it. Y-you’re alive a-and not…not glitching out.
Pavitr: And I’m here to stay! We can stay in Mumbattan and hang out with each other again…I’m just so happy to be back. Thank you for being there for me…even when I was fading out of existence.
Wendy: I’ll always have your back. Don’t you worry about it. (she breathes a watery sigh and hugs him again) I-I’m just so glad you’re alive.
She pulls away one more time and they both laugh.
From outside the room, they could hear as Miles, Gwen, and Hobie drew closer.
Hobie: I swear I saw Jess and Pav come in here. I can’t wait to see Wendy’s face when she sees him.
Miles: How do you know there’s anyone in there? They could be long gone by now.
Jess looks outside the door and laughs.
Jess: It didn’t take you guys long to come find us.
Gwen: So are they in there?
Jess opens the door further to show the three. Gwen and Miles look at the scene before them with wide eyes while Hobie just lets out a small laugh.
Gwen: Wh-what happened here?
Hobie: Looks like somebody didn’t tell the lady of Pav’s status before she could go absolutely mental on them. Tell me, did you get injured at all, Miguel?
Miguel: You say that as if you were hoping for me to actually get injured.
Hobie: Nah. Just wondering. That’s all.
Wendy stands up to full height and finally gets a look at the destruction she caused. However, she doesn’t seem apologetic for her outburst at all and Miguel didn’t look mad either.
Wendy: We had a…disagreement.
Miles: This looks like a little more than a disagreement to me.
Wendy: Let’s forget this. I’ll clean up later. I think it’s time for Miles to get an official tour of the spider society without Miguel trying to rip his head off. A calm, cool tour with no rampaging spiders to worry about.
Miguel: (muttered) Well, when you put it that way.
Jess: She didn’t say anything that wasn’t true, Miguel. And I agree let’s go get acquainted with the world again.
Pav, Jess, Hobie, Gwen, Miles, and Wendy walk out of the room leaving Miguel there to his lonesome. He lets go of a sigh and smiles.
Miguel: Things are starting to feel okay again.
