Chapter 4
After the encounter with "Yuki", both Miguel and Oliver walked in silence to the unknown location. They stopped in front of a medium-sized building with plenty of pinkish-purple lights flooding out the windows. There was a neon sign that read:
ゲイクラブ
There was silence between the two. Oliver looked at Miguel, who looked at the sign confused. Oliver finally understood. He laughed. Miguel looked at him with a puzzling look.
"Wait wait wait!" Oliver held his stomach as he laughed harder.
"What? What's so funny?" Miguel was genuinely confused at what was going on. Once Oliver composed himself, he wiped the incoming tears from his eyes.
"Was one of the reasons why you brought me here, was to be your translator?" Oliver chuckled and Miguel seemed somewhat embarrassed. That's what made this so much funnier. Miguel sputtered out a response.
"I'm not going to deny that exactly." Oliver spit out one last laugh as he walked to the doors.
"So uh..are you going to tell me what the sign says?" Miguel walked to the doors and held one open as Oliver kept his eyes on him with a smirk.
"Mmmmmm..nahh. You'll find out soon enough." Oliver walked in behind Miguel. Heavy electronic music shook the floor, the lights were blinding and the smell of sweat, cigarettes and alcohol wafted through the air. It was obviously some kind of club. Oliver was already sitting at the bar ordering a drink. Miguel sat on the stool next to him and ordered something.
"Hm? I wonder who it is we're meeting. The choice of place is a little..hmm..how should I put it? Much." Miguel was still confused after 10 minutes of being in this club. He found it strange that he didn't see many women there. Mostly men. He shrugged and thanked the bartender when he returned with his drink. He watched the door and saw someone walk in. He was tall with shoulder length dark hair, stubble, dark framed glasses, minimalistic jewelery and piercings, a black turtleneck and a blue leather jacket. Oliver looked over at what Miguel was looking at and his jaw dropped.
"Oh my God. Rei!" Oliver jumped off his stool and ran to the man. Miguel couldn't make out what they were saying over the bright lights and heavy music. The man and Oliver were laughing and talking as they came over to Miguel.
"Miguel, this is my friend Rei Kazomouta! He's also like my first friend when I moved here." Rei shook Miguel's hand.
"Miguel O'Hara." Rei smiled and pushed his hair from his face.
"Oh! You're the Miguel I've heard so much about! Olly over here talks about you non-stop. You seem like a good man." Rei pats Miguel's shoulder and sits on the other side of Oliver. Oliver was blushing from embarrassment and playfully hitting him.
"Yes, well we were sent here by someone. Her name was Yuki Harogawa. She said there was someone coming here that knew the details of something we need." Rei stared at him with a confused face. He nervously laughed and cleared his throat before speaking.
"Heh, uh either I heard you wrong or you have the wrong person..." Rei had a sense of fear lingering in his eyes. Miguel looked at him with a puzzled face.
"Um no her name was Yuki..Harogawa." Rei looked at him, now almost terrified. Oliver was frozen in place. He looked like he'd seen a ghost or something. He went pale and he gripped his drink tight. Miguel looked at him in concern and back at Rei.
"Wait what's going on?" Rei placed a hand on Oliver's back and looked at Miguel.
"Um, what did she look like...exactly?" Rei said, his voice shaking.
"She had like a choppy haircut and like face piercings, a terrible sense of fashion and these like yellow eyes and a very creepy smile." Rei listened to Miguel's recollection of Yuki.
"Of course. Miguel, listen to me carefully. That was not Yuki. Or, I mean it was, but..." Rei sighed.
"Yuki Harogawa is dead. She died two years ago. There was a big thing going on and she was the leader. She was killed during that event. We don't know who yet but it was devistating." Miguel looked at him and then at the piece of paper in his hand.
"Yeah but if she was dead then how would we have gotten this?" Miguel handed Rei the piece of paper with the address of the place on it. Rei took it and observed it. He observed the paper which now looked old and worn, the writing was fading and still that same barely legible writing. Rei looked at Miguel.
"Where did you get this?' His tone was serious.
"I got it from Yuki. She gave it to me. But I just remembered...her hands felt cold. Like really cold...like she was dead..." Miguel just realized in that moment. Rei took a deep breath.
"Alright, this is what I think. Yuki is now a living corpse because she was killed and had unfinished business." Miguel nodded and Oliver was having a panic attack in which Rei was trying to calm him down. Miguel had never seen Oliver like this and it really shocked him.
"I think I understand now." Rei nodded.
"Well, it really has nothing to do with us...is what I wanna say. But now that she saw you guys, I don't know what will happen next. Just try to be out of her sight and don't run into her again. Keep your ears open and your eyes peeled. Got it?" Miguel nodded.
"Well, it's getting late and we can talk about this tomorrow. There's a hotel just down the street. You won't miss it."
"Alright, thank you Rei. Come on Oliver." Miguel motioned for Oliver to get moving. Oliver took a deep breath and said his goodbyes to Rei. Miguel and Oliver walked out of the club. They walked down the street and saw a brightly lit hotel. They both went inside and checked in before going up to their room. Oliver had the room key so he unlocked the door and went in first. It was dark so they couldnt see much, but that didn't stop Oliver from making his way to the bed and letting himself all on it. It was surprisingly soft and he let out a long breath. Miguel turned on a lamp on a nightstand by the bed. It glowed a soft yellow, dimly illuminating the room. Now that there was some light, it was easier to see the room. It was black and white and very modern. There was a bathroom on the other side of the room.
How convenient...Miguel thought. He rolled his eyes and tapped Oliver on the shoulder.
"Hey, I'm going to go take a shower." Oliver nodded and sleepily groaned in response. With that, Miguel got up and went into the bathroom. Oliver rolled over and laid on his back, staring at the ceiling. He kicked off his shoes and shed himself of his hoodie and sweatpants, just leaving him in his spider suit. He looked around and looked in the closet, seeing two fluffy white robes. He took one and went back to the bed before peeling his spider suit off his body and putting on the robe. He sighed happily and laid in bed. He went on his phone to pass the time.
He then heard the bathroom door open and he looked over and saw Miguel. He turned over and hoped Miguel didn't see the huge blush creeping on his face. Miguel had walked out with a towel around his waist, showing off his torso and upper body.
Damn, I didn't realize he was so built... Oliver tried to regain his composure and sat up. He got up from the bed and hurried past Miguel to the bathroom. Miguel looked at Oliver and shrugged before getting dressed. Oliver sat on the floor of the bathroom and became a flustered and blushing mess.
"Oh my God....how is he so fine???" Oliver covered his face and groaned.
